So I just moved into the area and really needed a haircut. Looked on Yelp and found Cielo, which was just 5 minutes from my house. Called in on the morning for an appointment in the afternoon. They take their precautions to the COVID-19 seriously and there's no waiting area available for people that aren't there to get a haircut. Everyone is required to keep their masks on at all times. There are also curtains to divide the hair washing stations. So I got Sarah as my stylist and she was very attentive to my needs. I wanted to keep my hair long but just trim the edges and maintain the layers I had. She was very helpful and informative too! Overall was a very friendly experience and get comfortable. The salon recently did a renovation a few months ago and it's nice, clean, updated and streamlined and they added a chiropractor! This place makes me feel safe during these Covid-19 times wearing masks, sanitizing and limiting the amount of people inside. I go almost regularly to get my hair and nails done. May, my hairstylist, just colored and cut my hair, taking the time to explain the process and what colors would work based off of what I was looking for (no bleaching and covering greys). She is very knowledgeable and understands my fine hair. It turned out amazing, love a fresh new look! My nail tech, Maria, is also great and really cares to do a good job meeting my expectations, keeping my nails beautiful! STAY AWAY FROM CIELO'S!! It's the worst... This was my second time into this place. My first time in was lovely and I was matched with a stylist Heather that knew what she was doing. She gave me a great color and cut. My hair took almost 6 hours the first time so I witnessed all the other stylists work and was thoroughly impressed. I went in to the salon and heather was booked out indefinitely but seeing what I had seen the other stylists do, I was confident in my choice to stick with the salon knowing they didn't put out bad hair on the streets. Boy was I wrong. This time in I got placed with Mariah, who I realized half way through my hair, was new at the salon and had just moved to Vegas. Trying not to panic, I dropped hints about how excited I was to have the hair in the picture I showed her. I asked many questions before we started, making sure, is this color and cut something you can do for me? Can you get it as light as I want today? My hair was already ashy blonde so going lighter was no new experience to me. But I could tell she didn't know what she was doing with blondes when she started bleaching over my already platinum strands. I figured, we're gonna cut off some damage so don't panic. The whole time I had to reassure myself to not panic. I gave her a picture of platinum 70s shag with curtain bangs, styled like wavy and relaxed. She gave me a calico chop that was 4 inches shorter than what o asked for, with the most awkward wispy "bangs" you've ever seen, styled with the tightest curls possible, making me look like an off brand, cheap Shirley Temple. I asked her to keep most of my length and not only did she chop it all off, she butchered the cut so badly I have to get a second fixit cut in a few weeks when it grows out. I've had better $30 cuts at Supercuts when I was a teen. She assured me the entire time that she was confident in delivering the hair I showed her in the picture. She asked constantly what I wanted and I kept reluctantly replying,, I want it just like the picture. Night and day difference. She sent me out with the worst haircut I've ever had, and 4 inches too short, and about 10 million different shades of blonde. I cried about having to go out that night to dinner meeting with a photographer, I woke up in the middle of the night crying, and then the next morning I just kept crying. I hadn't felt that ugly in a LONG time. I got it fixed at another salon (Posare) the next day and I'm absolutely obsessed now, even though I'm still getting used to short hair on me, considering it's really not what I wanted or asked for. I spoke with the salon manager multiple times and he apparently stands by his stylists absolutely awful work even after all my tears and pleading for him to have another stylist fix it for me. He suggested his stylist Mariah and I have a sit down talk to work it out , what a fucking idiot, excuse my language. This was a very traumatizing experience and just hope anyone that is thinking about going here makes the decision to go somewhere else. Obviously the quality of "stylist" has very much dropped since my first time in. read more

This salon was recommended by What's up Henderson on FB. I also read the yelp reviews. So I swallowed my appreciation and went in for a hair cut. Mia was my stylist and she really listened to me and took note of my needs. She gives a great wash and head message which scored points with me. I had specifically asked for a shag cut but not too short. I wanted shoulder length hair, not too short and no blow dry cuz I wanted to encourage my curls. Yeah, I have had BAD experiences before so I'm picky. Mia was awesome! Talked me through the whole thing, asked questions and listened to me. After the cut she re rinsed my hair with conditioner and then used a cream leave in moisturizer and diffused my hair . My hair has texture, the waves are good and I felt that I looked good! YAYYYY! April Rosales made my first hair color experience amazing. I've never dyed my hair before and wanted to go for a natural balayage. She made my hair even better than I imagined. She is very nice and fun to talk to, and she didn't mind that I also studied while waiting for the color to set in. She also curled my hair after and taught me how! May is the best stylist I've ever been to! She's the only stylist that gives my hair new life every time I have an appointment. I've had beautiful color done by her that always looks rich, vibrant, and healthy and I've had the most incredible cuts done by her. Went and had my haircut done by Alyssa. She cut my short hair from shoulder length to a short pixie Bob. I fell in love with the hair cut, and Alyssa was such a great person to have a conversation with. She was attentive and listen to what you would like for the outcome to be. She did provide some advice and pointers on how to style with the hair choice I'd selected. Alyssa did such a great job that she'd managed to give me a haircut that was 3 pixie styles combined in one. I'd managed to find her on Yelp, and had positive reviews. What actually caught my attention about Alyssa is that she need how to use clippers. I have an undercut cut, therefore I had very short hair in the back. She knew what she was doing. My husband is a barber in Las Vegas, and I can tell due to my experience of watching my husband. So ladies, if you want a good amazing cut, then Alyssa is your girl PLUS she knows color!! Her current color is a Rose pink with red tone on her scalp. She looks gorgeous. Thank you Alyssa!! You made me feel beautiful again with this cut. I love it. In response to business owner and May. CJ is not the name , it is my initials. I have posted a snip-it of my charge from my account , $258 not including tip , with tip $300. I went 3 times , for a total of $900 hoping I would get to where I wanted to be , I never got close to there . Again, May is very nice , I was just very disappointed . Regarding the root touch up , I can also screen shot the day of my appointment, and my receipt from Target showing that I went THAT night and purchased root touch-up to attempt to blend my roots within 2 hours of my appointment. The side by side before and after picture (where the roots look BETTER ), is after I blended them on the left hand side , and after I went to another salon to get it fixed months later on the right hand side . !I have no reason to lie , nor do I appreciate being accused of it (By May indicating she does not charge the rate I quoted , or that my photo is not a representation of her work) The individual top view head shot , and side view pictures I posted were taken THE NIGHT I got home from my last appointment, not at a later time after growth . This is 100% what my hair looked like right after my 3rd appointment and before I fixed it.My husband can confirm this along with my lash lady , as they pointed out how brassy , and uneven it was. Why would I feel compelled to take pictures of my hair THAT night if I was pleased with it when I got home? I took pictures with Intentions of posting a review on YELP, and canceled my next appointment . Granted , it took me a few months to write the review , this was motivated by my appointment with the new Salon and what a great job they did fixing it. She was very friendly & asked what type of haircut I wanted. I have very FINE hair so I need a cut & style that can look like I have "volume". She suggested a soft layered cut in the back to give me the fullness I wanted. She showed me her mom's photo to illustrate the cut... I agreed. It's much easier now for me to style & comb my hair thanks to a great cut! I'm very HAPPY! I met Penny, the owner & told her my friend had recommended her salon. She was very friendly & welcomed me. I am so happy to have found CIELO & Yolanda... it will now be my salon too! The haircut/styling was $50 which is a very reasonable price for such a great cut! I had a bad case of covid hair....called salin got a apt within a few days wirh Brittnay. Upon arriving I noticed that the salon was so beautiful, clean & well organized. They have all stations separated all the stylist,nail technicians and staff are wearing masks & stations a sanitized& cleaned after every client. BRITTNAY did an amazing job, she was very knowledgeable and very clear as she helped decide what to do to get my hair looking healthy again. We decided a base color,, a few highlight and a good cut.. No licenses shown for manicurist. I wanted just a pink ombré gel manicure. I showed her a picture she states she can't do it. I said skip then let's go to the pedicure. No bags on the tubs. She didn't do a calus removal. She shows me around 10 colors says that's all she has. I walked out. I was done at that point. Here's the kicker. She charges me 35$ for 20 minutes without my nails even painted. While sitting there some older manicurist yells at my manicurist cause she's using her chair. Whoa. Crazy. This didn't even seem real it was so bad. My nails are shaped funny too. I made an appointment at another salon today for a do over. Time consuming. Unprofessional. Manicurist Havienne. Went to get service done at chiropractor there and cielos employee had the place packed with consignment items on Cielo side and chiropractor side. Mentioned to the employee maybe she could place her items elsewhere like out front so injured patients could be seated and was told you could sit in the hallway. What the heck? It was packed with consignment clothing, purses etc. The energy shifted not a good feeling for people walking into the salon. Get rid of the items or go rent a consignment shop. Just a thought.it was a Cielo.hair salon employee who then began dismissing my observation. Since when is arguing with customers ok to do Cielo salon and spa. This review has been a long time coming as I have been a client of Rose at Cielo for a little over two years now. I am not the best at articulating what I want as far as color, but Rose is fantastic at getting creative and coming up with something that I will love. Rose is patient, kind, and professional. She is confident in explaining what is possible and what results I can realistically expect. I am always warmly welcomed at this salon by Santiago at the front desk, and have gotten to know another friendly and wonderful stylist at the salon named April who I have seen do beautiful hair as well. I'm so happy to have found Rose as when I moved here in 2017 I was at a loss as to where to go! My hair is healthy, shiny, and strong and I know that is in large part due to the quality products that Rose uses in my hair and her expertise in applying them. I would recommend Rose to anyone looking to have a fun or heart to heart conversation with a lovely person while getting your hair done. I've been visiting this salon for haircuts for about 4 years now and have enjoyed each visit. The salon itself is clean and comfortable, with a casually upscale ambience. Each of the stylists I've sat with have been competent and caring, but my most recent visit was absolutely phenomenal. I saw May Garner for the first time, and she's my favorite stylist yet. When I booked online, I made a note that I have social anxiety (which makes haircuts very stressful), and May talked through it with me in the beginning and then was happy to let me sit silently with my phone. It was the least anxious I've ever felt during a haircut. I had a ton of hair to cut off, but May worked fast and absolutely knocked it out of the park. I'm LOVING this cut. I stand by my review. The entire issue is that you did not tell me not to wash my hair you are literally lying and I have proof of this by text. When I contacted you stating that the dark at the bottom needed a few highlights to blend down you refused. Then when I explained the dark toner you used in my hair didn't take you never said one word about me washing my hair ... all you said was sorry I've spent 12 hrs on your hair and don't feel I'm the stylist for you. If you had told me not to wash my hair I wouldn't have !!! Remember it was 12 hrs of my life too Rose .... I was there for 12 hrs because the product you used turned my hair pink ! I paid you because you said "hey I know this isn't what you asked for but it's better" meaning we were working together ... why in Gods name would I wash my hair If I thought it would harm what we did? And by the way the issue w my hair has nothing to do with me washing it - my request was for a highlight not a bleach job .... my top was completely bleached because you had to go back in and bleach the pink Out and my remaining head of hair was highlighted ...I paid and tipped you because I trusted you - which was clearly a mistake! I even paid a large portion by cash --- because I NEVER had any intention of having to charge back anything because I just felt you were trustworthy but as soon as there was a problem you bailed ... and said nothing else could be done and lied and expected me to now go somewhere else to have another stylist fix your issue ... the ONE pic you took was of my side - not the top blrached out hair or of the bottom that the highlights did not come down far enough. You NEVER SAID DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR and as a stylist you should have better customer service skills. read more
