Don't go here if you're not a regular/ local. They (The bartender and customers) made it abundantly clear that we were not welcome. We sat at a table by the bar, and I could tell no one was gonna come help us. So we sat at the bar. It took a while for the bartender to even acknowledge us and when he did, it was very clear he did not want us there. It was weirdly quiet in the bar so I asked if the bartender would turn on some music.... Apparently this was a big mistake. He was very rude telling me no and that there was music in the dining area. (They had TVs on, but the volume was really low. It's not like everyone was watching a game with the volume up or anything,) but then he did put on some music. Then the regulars sitting at the bar proceeded to talk shit about me in Spanish thinking I didn't understand them the whole time we were sitting there because I asked for music to be turned on. It was so uncomfortable. Yikes! We left as soon as we were done eating. Also, we had 2 beers, an à la cart bean burrito, and an à la cart quesadilla and the bill was $40. Dang! Been at least a year since I've been here. I used to eat here every weekend....but now...now...it's just too expensive. Mexican food is usually cheap and tasty. It's still tasty but no longer cheap. Pacos no longer gives refill on their chips n salsa! That's the fun of going to a Mexican spot - chips n salsa and margaritas! If you want more chips, $4.50! My exposure to Paco's Tacos was not at their home base in Los Angeles. Instead, I attended an event for which they catered tacos for 150 people. They had a colorful, well distributed and presented spread of enticing choices. While you could get chicken or al pastor tacos, the crown jewel here was the birria tacos that came with consommé. This was an absolute hit, from the meat, to the outer taco shell that was toasted on a grill before serving. There was also Mexican rice. Furthermore, a wide array of fresh condiments. How could you have tacos without cilantro, grilled onions and jalapeños. There were several salsas to provide the kick to any preparation. You are greeted with warmth and smiles from the moment you step foot into the restaurant. The interior is ADORABLE with the decorative intricacies of a Mexican courtyard. And during December, you also get a combination of Mexican and Christian Christmas decorations. There was an area where a woman made homemade tortillas the entire time we were seated - and OMG were the tortillas unbelievably good! I am gluten-sensitive, and I could not resist! The flour tortillas were soft and doughy...like an unsalted version of roti prata! I was in Food Heaven... and later in food coma! Haha The portions were huge, and the menu had everything under the sun. The prices were decent, considering the amount of food you get. We also ordered horchata, which was freshly made and sweet, though the glass had too much ice for my liking! The free corn tortilla chips and 2 kinds of salsa were yummy. I was in LA and in the mood for a margs and tacos...these were disappointing. The host and waiter were welcoming and the restaurant's vibe had a very homey casita feel. The chips and salsa were honestly the best part of the meal--both fresh and tasty. The margarita and tacos were a let down. The margarita was strong but had a weird flavor and consistency (made with what I assume was a packaged mix)...this was my first time going to a Mexican restaurant and ordering just one marg. I want to start off with the Good: ambience is super cool. Loved it, like going back in time to an actual place in Mexico. The wait staff was just ok, there was a waiter change in between shifts. We just weren't feeling it this time for Paco's Tacos. We went on a Thursday night last week and the first thing you see on the table is the notice of the change of prices. Of course, everything has gone up in price and down in size. (like the rest of the world). Paco's food hasn't gone down in size but up in price. A second basket of chips is now $3, which seems crazy for a Mexican restaurant that has chips by the barrel-full. They no longer give a free birthday dessert either which is neither here nor there for me personally, but it was, kind of a nice touch. We also paid $3 for a small side of sour cream. My husband had the chicken enchiladas which he said were just okay, not as good as usual. I had the carnitas burrito and we shared the guacamole. My burrito weighed about 3 pounds and I could only eat half but it was just okay. I would not order it again. Service was very slow (it's usually not) as well. The host / server just looked at me. I mentioned that I was looking for someone that I was meeting. My sentence was cut off by him rudely saying "if your party is not all here, we won't seat you". Ordered the chicken chimichanga for dinner. It was dry chicken in a dry deep fried tortilla. Topped with sour cream. Dry and no flavor. I asked the waiter for some salsa verde. He said there is none - despite there being dishes on the menu with it. I ended up asking for sour cream. That didn't even fix the dryness of the dish. Not a fan of this place. read more

Have been coming to Pacos for many years. Absolutely love this place. Always a good time. Don't usually have ti wait too long to be seated which gives you time to wait in the bar area and start off with some drinks. Once you're seated in the dining area you are greeted with a nice fresh basket of chips and salsa. The servers are always friendly and welcoming. The food has been consistent for the last 20 years which is pretty rare these days. It's a very big restaurant with a great little traditional Mexican cozy feeling. The food is absolutely delicious. Not to mention they have the best homemade flour tortillas. My family and I always have a great time when we come here. If you're looking for THE BEST Mexican food in the Los Angeles/Inglewood area this is the place. Must try! read more

What has gone wrong with this restaurant? I'd say that it has gone downhill, but that would infer that it was on a hill in the first place. Prior to this last visit, the food was average. Now it's subpar at best. Coming here was convenient because it was close to home. Definitely not a destination for fine cuisine. If you intend to visit Pacos, be prepared to encounter the new reality and the drastically sad consequences. I mentioned the food earlier, and now it's time to expand on that. I ordered the #5, one taco, and one enchilada. They serve it with obligatory rice and beans. My plate arrived with a thin enchilada buried in rice and a taco thrown on top. By thin, I mean that the sauce was thicker than the entree itself! Trying to eat the thing was as difficult as finding it on the plate. The cheese was like chewing gum but with no flavor. The taco? Well I had to eat it with a fork. There was no chance of it holding together after sitting on the gumchilada sauce. What a farce this place is. I thought that I'd save the best for last. For my plate of food substitute, and let me remind you, one enchilada and one taco, rice, and beans.....are you ready... $19.95! Talk about dropping a bar of soap in the shower! Get ready, it ain't gonna be pretty. Give this hole a wide berth. It's nothing but a stain on the map of culinary experience. Quick Tip: We called to make reservations, remembering that on Saturday nights it could get very busy. But again, that was then, and this is now. We were told that they could accommodate a party of nine with no problem, no reservation needed. We should have taken that as motivation to seek another option. I wish we had. This place was absolutely horrible when it came to service. My birthday is tomorrow and my guest asked if they do anything for celebrations of this nature and the hostess stated, "They charge" to sing happy birthday to people! That's absolutely absurd to hear. Not to mention she was irritated and did not seem friendly to assist us. We spent almost $100 on our visit and were not treated with genuine hospitality. It's been awhile since I've eaten here. This location definitely has better food than the Centinela location. However, the service certainly could use improvement. We were seated for awhile and weren't even given menus. A guy brought us chips and salsa. Several minutes passed and we had to ask for menus and water. We really enjoyed our combination plates of tamales and enchiladas plus the homemade tortillas with butter. However, our server didn't come back to check on us as we ate. Once we entered through the front door we were warmly greeted, and seated right away it was lunchtime and so it was crowded but comfortable.. below you can view their MENU. We ordered the Bean & Cheese Burrito--Wet Style and let me tell you the beans here are absolutely amazing. The texture is just so inviting below. You will see a picture of my mail. I could've eaten the whole thing at once sitting but I wanted to save something for later.. I highly recommend this spot for lunch. They also offer breakfast items as well as you'll see on the menu below and I'm sure dinner is off the chain. Bravo to the chefs everyone that works here were friendly and smiling. It was a nice cool vibe. The lighting inside was perfect. Their whole entire decorations inside makes you feel like you're somewhere else other than Los Angeles.‼‼ p.s. Service was Average. Chile Rellano's were Very Small, 1/2 the size of a Woman's hand. I didn't taste any alcohol in Strawberry Margaritas. Prices were threw the Roof for what we received for our money. I would not recommend Pacos Tacos in Westchester. You could get better tasting food across the street at Del Taco. read more

Usually when my husband came to LA. on his business trip he came here with his L.A. guys and had dinner. I always heard dinner at Paco's Tacos. Then, I came with him and this time he didn't have plan for dinner with his guys and "it's Taco Tuesday!" So we decided to have our dinner here. Drink menu is read to code and see it. I ordered XX Amber (I expected it is draft but it came by bottle..) When I went to the bathroom I passed bar area and I saw the tap in a bar counter, so I don't know how to order the draft beer. On their menu, lots of choices and hard to read everything, so I took long time to make decisions what I order. I ordered Chile Verde and my husband ordered Paco's choice. For now I'm writing this and feel little regret why I didn't order tacos on Tuesday(lol!). My Chile Verde, plenty of meat!!!! OMG! I love verde sauce but I'm sorry I couldn't eat even half of the meat. Flavor was okay but I needed some kicks so I use hot salsa sauce (came with tortilla chips) on my dish. My husband's Paco's choice's two kinds of meat (Adobada and Carne Asada) flavor was pretty good. Came with fresh warm tortilla. He enjoyed his meal. read more

Food is pricey but for the most part the quality of food is really good. The chips and salsa are delicious and the salsa has a nice but suddle kick. The queso fundido was pippin hot and as much as we enjoyed it we found the chorizo portion is laughable for the price and over all serving of melted cheese. The entrées we did enjoy however the chile verde was Luke warm upon arrival, the salsa served with the carne asada tasted like marinera sauce and the chicken enchilada was suppose to be made with a mole sauce but the mole flavor was barely noticeable. Rice and beans were delicious and so were the steaks. The tampiqueño was deliciously covered in onions and bell peppers with a scoop of guacamole included. The tampiqueña came with a black olive in the rice but I gave it to my husband. Our servers were nice and the busser made sure our drinks weren't empty long, and that we had everything we need. My favorite thing was frankly the fresh hand made Tortillas. You can tip the lady making them, which we did. The restaurant is spacious and had a bar area which was busy. The restrooms were clean but need some touch up repairs. There is also plenty of parking available. To enter the restaurant there are stairs but also a handicap mini elevator. read more

The seating was swift & although I wanted a bar seat , I was informed it was closed. Pretty and bright decor, it felt a bit empty when I arrived and was almost full by the time I left. The strawberry margarita was pretty good, hard to taste any alcohol but offered a decent buzz. The sampler was not it. Everything looked and tasted dry, needing a lot of salsa to soften and make it able to be eaten. The salsa and chips were yummy - spicy which is my favorite. The quesadilla was soggy and yet the cheese wasn't melted thru on the inside. The side of guac helped as much as it could but it was not something to order twice. Writing this review after getting takeout here dozens of times over the last twenty years . I always get the same thing which is the two taco combination plate with shredded beef. Meaty, greasy cheesy salty and mmmm mmm good. I like this place over their Centinela location, because in my humble opinion, it is wayyyyyy more authentic . The tacos are crunchier as well as they also give you more meat and cheese within their tacos . Lastly this place serves some of the best refried beans and rice in LA and that's including their sister restaurant on centinela. I also am a big big fan of their chips and salsa ( super spicy / not for the faint of heart ) and their homemade flour tortillas which melt in your mouth . I was surprised at the low rating from other reviews , but it makes sense ... this is not a place for you if you are expecting a Disneyland customer service dine in experience. Most of the people who are writing one star reviews are people who came here to celebrate, birthdays, and anniversaries and were disappointed that they didn't have a five star customer service experience . You might want to ask for a booster seat as many of the booths have sunken in over the years. Time to upgrade. 4. Who charges for table chips? They do after the first basket. Best freshly made corn tortillas in Los Angeles. The flour tortillas are also freshly made and served hot so the cold butter melts between the folds. Love their cochinita pibil tacos with onions and their crunchy hard tacos stuffed with machaca beef is crispy and not at all greasy.
