The worst service I've ever had. This is my first yelp review. Normally when I receive bad service I just don't go back to that restaurant but the waitress tonight was the worst waitress I've ever had and when I asked her if I could please speak to the manager she very rudely replied "I am the manager." She said her name was Natalie. I took my 6 year old daughter to dinner. I had a chimney and my daughter had a small taco. The waitress (Natalie) asked my daughter if she would like a kids cup or a big cup. Of course my daughter asked for the big cup, which I had no problem with other than the waitress Natalie charging me for my daughters drink because it wasn't a kids cup. We ordered queso dip while we waited for our meals, the waitress Natalie forgot to bring my daughters rice and beans. After we had a fried ice cream. The check came out to be $38. Natalie said that I needed to explain to her in detail that my daughter was having a kids taco (which is the Exact same size as a solo small taco) and charged for my daughters drink. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. This was the worst experience we've ever had and Natalie was the absolute worst manager I've ever encountered. She was clueless when it came to customer service and very deceptive when it came to taking the order. read more

My 14-year-old son ate there Friday night with a group of his friends. Now I understand 14 year old boys are the best clientele but they were treated fairly rudely by the wait staff. I asked if they were busy that Friday night and all the boys commented that there were plenty of empty tables inside and outside. The wait staff advised them that they could not take up all of that table space without ordering more food, (somewhat rude, but I get it)To which a few of the boys ordered tacos and only ran up a $30 bill. I get it,,, that's not much but the boys were kind enough to leave a $15 tip on a $30 bill. The boys trying to be conscientious to the waiter even asked him if that was enough and the waiter had the balls to reply no. 50% tip was not enough for him. I suggested to each of those boys that they should not go back. I'm sure Cinco de Mayo is not going to mind if groups of teenagers don't use the restaurant as a hang out, but they should. Each one of those boys has parents And older siblings that heard the same story and each one of those parents I'm sure will tell their friends. In this business climate and especially after the nightmare that was Covid I would think the businesses would welcome anybody to darken their doors. To me it just goes to show the type of business climate that they have there and I, nor my family, will be returning. read more

A great little Mexcian Restaurant in World Golf Village. We eat here often and never had a bad meal. The salad with chicken breast seasoned perfectly and the shrimp ceviche are my favs. The margaritas are decent too. read more

If you are looking for True Authentic Mexican Food this is not the place to get it in my opinion. We visited when they first opened and it was o.k , knowing it was a new place I am always willing to give any restaurant a second chance to work out the kinks. We visited again tonight and it has been open for a few months now. So here it goes The salsa & cheese dip was really good I would go and order it again! My son had the California Burrito which was huge and if you like lots of lettuce crammed into a burrito your in luck , and I ordered a pork tamale which I was told was made in house , Yassssss! But i was disappointed to get it smothered on top with hamburger meat and sauce with beans . If you are looking for American style Mexican food this is your place. read more

The food was really good but the service was horrible. The server took his time to come to our table. He was sitting down rolling up silverware he waited 6 minutes before he came in to take or drink orders. He also was chewing on food and we had to call him a few times. Have been patiently waiting for this place to open...we love Mexican! Have been 2 times, both times for lunch. Love the food and the service has been good! The tables are close together so you can feel like you're dining with another family and the openess does make it a little loud. While the food was good our first experience was not. SEVERELY understaffed. We ended up waiting over 20 minutes just for water. The margarita machine was broken (didn't this place JUST open?) so no frozen margarita for the misses. As I type this one hour in we're STILL waiting for our check. The couple next to us at BOTH tables also waited over one hour for their checks. I want to love this place because it's convenient and close to home. there were three small pieces of chicken in my shrimp nachos. never mind the fact that i don't eat meat which made me have to leave the meal, but finding random pieces of other food shows it must be an unsanitary kitchen with no safeguards. it left me wondering if the chicken in my meal were leftovers that got thrown in there because that's how they cook their meals. read more

I was really impressed when I first tried Cinco De Mayo. Their food was really tasty and I really love their queso cheese dip. They're also generous with the margaritas as well. I can't remember the names of my entrees but they were really good. The portions are big and I never leave there hungry. The wait staff always seem friendly and attentive. The shrimp taco salad was fine. The service okay. Compared to Cinco on route 1 much better. Cinco on route seemed to dilute the flavor out of everything. This cinco, the salsa had a little bite. Not so much you wanted to stop eating it. The shrimps were plentiful. The problem and I should have left immediately but my husband cannot smell anything. They must have used Overused wash clothes to wipe down the tables. Most the time there I kept my nose over my soda glass to avoid the rancid stench. We've given this place more than a few chances but the last few times have been beyond disappointing. The wait staff is wonderful but the food... let's just say they tried. This was the worst restaurant I have experienced in a long time. First, the waitress spilled coke and lemonade all over my kids, she then proceeds to hand us wet straws, and cover the wet floor in napkins and towels. With no help she breaks out the mop and cleans the floor around us. After the "spill" she finally takes our order which arrives within five minutes, however two of the vegetarian orders we received contained ground beef. The waitress noticed we were not pleased but acted very condescending. As our poor service continued the staff hung out at the back table laughing and taking selfies. Needless to say, we will never visit this location again. What a bummer, we were so excited to have a Mexican restaurant in our area. I'm a Jax Beach transplant and this is just as yummy as La Nopalera. I've eaten in & taken away. Never a bad experience. Service is fast and everyone on staff is nice and helpful. Updated June 2017- upgraded to 4 stars. I'm glad we gave them another try. After a rough start when they first opened, the food was much improved on our third visit. We found great options with veggie fajitas (great combination with onions, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, etc) and the bean burrito. Both were good and decent value. Salsa was fresh tasting though chips are hit and miss (had some fresh, some stale). Will definitely be back. read more
