We were pleasantly surprised by Cinder Bar. I think we expected a generic American style chain, but that is not what we got. Aside from a bit of disappointment in my Bloody Mary, everything else was tasty. We obviously went with the candied bacon because when there's bacon on the menu, you order it. Delicious. This rule also applies to Deviled Eggs. When you see them on a menu, you order them. The Sriracha was a nice flavor boost, we enjoyed! The shrimp was spicy, but in the best way. And after we made it through all these appetizers, we just had to order a pizza because the ones around us smelled so good. We both did our best to get a slice down, and took the rest home.... because yes, it was so yummy!! Their bloody Mary's need improvement, and they could benefit from not using a mix. But other than that, Cinder Bar is a great spot. read more

We are huge fans of cinder bar!!! They have incredible brick oven pizza, great beer selection, and fun appetizers. We've come here so many times because the pizza never fails to please. The wings, dumplings, and pirogies are all delicious sides to try out. As far as pizza goes, the maya lina is a favorite as well as the short rib, and classic margarita. The crust is perfect. The only downside is that they don't take reservations and there is ALWAYS a wait. Even if you come at 4pm there will be a wait. The best thing to do is to get on the waitlist via Yelp beforehand so you can at least minimize some time spent waiting! Still a favorite we will continue to visit! read more

We were just there for happy hour. On the happy hour menu was a delicious blood orange margarita. I highly recommend this drink if you like sweet drinks, we also tried the ricotta and honey appetizer and the cheesesteak eggrolls. Both were really delicious and the serving portions were big, not bad at half price. I had only been into this restaurant one time when they first opened.. I've never had a reason to not come back. All I can remember is how packed the place was as I sat at the bar, had a drink and some conversation while waiting on a to-go order... I had totally forgotten about this place since I rarely drive through this town. A recent drive past was enough for me to make plans to stop in for lunch... There's a great menu with daily drink and meal specials. Plenty of pasta, burgers, pizza, salads, and soups. Tuesday was half price margaritas... Sounds like a winner from here... Let me have one of those $5 Blood Orange Margaritas... With a sugared rim, this drink tasted great and didn't lack any tequila!! I thought that I was going to order two, but this one drink was enough for me... Also ordered was the short rib poutine. Think of Nick's gravy fries, but on steroids... Loaded with short ribs, a mountain of cheese, with gravy down in the cast iron pan. Next up was the Parma Burger, topped with prosciutto... While this burger could've used some seasoning, the freshly ground beef mix was excellent. If I remember right, the burger contained ground brisket. And as if I hadn't ordered enough carbs, the Fettuccine Siciliano was described so well on the small plates section of the menu that I tried this also... Made with pesto, sausage, and plenty of shredded parmesan cheese, I was glad that I ordered it... Tomorrow is Whiskey Flight Wednesday.... I hear that a special guest will be there tomorrow..... I'm so happy to see this place up and running following COVID. I have been here several times over the years for dinner and drinks, and I have never been disappointed with service or the food itself. This past weekend I tried Cinder for brunch for the first time (I didn't know that they served brunch!). The menu was really diverse, and offered a multitude of brunch favorites for both food & drink. It was peculiar to me that there wasn't a single salad on the menu; sometimes you just want your greens for brunch! We didn't order any drinks, but I was quite excited to see a lox benedict on the menu, as that's my go-to brunch order. I understand that it's common for restaurants to poach their eggs ahead of time for efficiency sake, but I would expect them to warm it before putting it atop a benedict. The potato latke was perfectly crispy, and the salmon itself was delicious. The Hollandaise sauce was okay at best, but the coldness of the egg was really a big turn off. It made it almost unpleasant to eat. My friend enjoyed her personal favorite, the Conte Pizza, as much as she always does. Our service was as good as usual, even though we ate outside. I will say that the restaurant seemed pretty packed for only having been 25% capacity indoor dining, but that was just an observation when I went to the restroom. read more

The times listed for brunch are inaccurate. Online it states brunch is between 10:30 and 2:30. Only pizzas and small plates will be served between 2:30 and 3:30. Apparently, brunch ends at 1:30. Sunday, August 13, 2023: My wife and I frequent this establishment somewhat regularly for dinner. We very much enjoy it. We decided to try their brunch. We opted for a later brunch so we could stay a while and watch the Phillies' game. We showed up at 1:30 thinking brunch was served until 2:30. Between 2:30 and 3:30, it would be pizzas and small plates. This sounded fine to us. We were seated and given brunch menus. After a decent amount of time, our waitress introduced herself, and we placed our drink orders. The waitress came back with water for both of us and started to take our orders. As my wife was about to order, the waitress told us she forgot to tell us that it was only pizzas and small plates at this time. We quickly adjusted our order thinking we would order from the normal menu once the kitchen was ready. The beer I ordered was not what I received. Not a big deal. Once again, we planned on staying for the Phillies' game. I'll drink this one and order another beer when finished. Our food arrived promptly. As we started eating, my wife finished her strawberry mint smash. She was never offered another drink. I then finished my drink. I was never offered another drink. In fact, we didn't see our waitress until we finished our food. At this point, being there about an hour, and being offered only one drink, we decided to leave. As I stated, we often visit for dinner. This was our first time for brunch. We understand there may be mistakes listed online. For example, the times being inaccurate. On an afternoon that didn't seem particularly busy, we would request more attentive staff. We will continue coming for dinner. I started with the serenity now, it had keyed one vodka, st germain, lemon, lime, cucumber mint. I'm a BIG cucumber fan so this was right up my alley and it was great! Super light and refreshing, I could drink a few of these. For apps we had sriracha deviled eggs, wood fired wings with Korean bbq sauce, bada Bing shrimp. The deviled eggs were the perfect amount of spice, topped with red pepper chopped up and chives (as you know I don't like any type of onion but I was able to take it off). I wasn't a fan of the wings, we ordered them naked with the sauce on the side, not sure what breading was used but wasn't a fan of it or the sauce. Next time I would do it with the bada bing sauce on these. The bada bing shrimp was AMAZING, the sauce was so good! First off any time I see a wood fire oven I HAVE to try their pizza, we got the margherita with burrata and the four cheese pizza (mozz, fontina, parm, romano) and added sausage. I wanted to give this place a 4.5 because it isn't perfect however it is pretty fucking close. The drinks are fabulous with their rotating taps and the white tropical sangria was to die for. They use one big ice cube in beverages which seems to cut down in the water down beverage taste. The food here was delicious and came out rather quick. They have plenty of "small" plate offering which are good to share. I personally had the empanadas, cheesesteak egg rolls, and candied bacon as the small plates and the prosciutto cotto & mushroom calzone. Not a thing came out cold and I would totally re order everything eaten tonight. In addition to all of this the server was fast, efficient, and answered all of our questions. I will 10/10 be back. I've had many gf deserts and this was bleh. Had two bites and then tossed the rest. I could be picky about some other things but, overall I think they have improved over the years.
