I have gone to this salon several times with great results for manicures. However, I spent $45 for a pedicure for my 18 year old daughter for her graduation. The next morning one was chipped and she thinks they forgot to put a top coat on. I called 2 days later once we go through graduation and they said she could come get it fixed. I asked for a new full pedicure or credit for future services. They said no. That is a terrible way to treat your clients. They just lost 2 customers. read more

I have been to this salon many times and I was hopeful that this time wouldn't be different. I was greeted and told it would be a 30 minute wait. About 15 minutes later they said that they could fit me in. Fast forward 18 minutes and my $35 hot stone pedicure was complete. I had a 5 minute foot massage (guaranteed 10), no time for my feet to soak and he was extremely rough on my feet. As soon as I sat to dry he tapped my shoulder and asked for my credit card... extremely unprofessional. I then sat to dry for 25 minutes. Terrible experience and not worth the money. Cinderella Nails? More like Cruella Nails. Worst pedicure experience in my life! I'm fuming writing this as I bolt out. I'm so done with this place and it's overpriced generic pedicures that I've come to tolerate when I can't get into my regular girl. I've come here many times though. Never had anything bad happen really however today was enough to push me to the edge. It started out when the girl tried offering me a more expensive pedicure like they always do there after I told her I wanted a basic. I get it they always try to up-sale you it's part of business, however she looked kind of annoyed but whatever. When it came time for polish I simply asked her to test two polishes. She did it on plastic I said no can you do it on my toes I can't tell on plastic obviously. So she huffed at me. Girl, bye. You don't huff at me Like the big bad wolf then start talking to your work buddy in Chinese, obviously, about me. Mind you the owner is watching the whole thing. Big mistake. Huge! My first reaction was to go all NY on her like I normally would since I lived in NYC for years. Well I decided to kill her where it hurts most. She comes up to me asking for me to pay now. I slam down my VISA not even bothering to look at her. She soon comes back asking me to sign. No tip for you obviously!! She stomps off yelling in Chinese and looks at me as if I'm the Jerkoff.. I give her the look of death and walk out. News flash lady you don't make tips by being a see you next Tuesday kind of gal.You wanna tip? You better work or at the very least fake it. By the way I consider myself a good tipper if not too generous but u know people work hard for their money and shouldn't have to tip for an over priced generic $35 pedicure. The man stood over me and watched to see what I was going to tip, it was very uncomfortable. The lady that greeted me at the door was also extremely rude and very dismissive. I've been going to Cinderella Nails for about a year. Every experience I've had was great up until a month or so ago. I was getting a pedicure, and a sweet lady was sitting next to me. Unfortunately, the staff decided to talk about her, specifically her weight. They weren't speaking in English, but you could tell they were speaking poorly of her based on the reactions from other technicians and how everyone was staring. It was very disheartening to see and hear. People come into businesses like this to relax and get away from their problems, and to have the staff be SO disrespectful to someone was sickening. I was told about this place by a coworker and decided to give it a try. I went with a friend and made an appointment for 630. We waited for 30 minutes before they sat us. My friend had a good experience with her nail technician but my guy was hands down the worst I've ever had and that's saying something since I've been getting my nails done for over 7 years. I sat at one desk waiting for the nail technician and as I'm talking with my friend the guy randomly comes up, grabs my wallet and keys and starts walking away and the. tells me to follow him. The next desk I sat at still had nail clippings from the previous person all over the arm rest and on the paper towel that was on the desk. So that means the desk was never wiped down and he couldn't even put a new paper towel down or take the old one away even after telling him. He was very rough while filing my nails and with the tool they use to clip away dead skin. He never really gave me a proper manicure and didn't even push back my cuticle or cut it with his tool. Every time my hand wasn't in the position he wanted it he would roughly twist my hand and swat my fingers hard with the nail file to have me get them out of his way. I swear I'm not kidding and wasn't lying when I said it's the worst manicure I've ever gotten. Here's the best part! While he was waiting for my nails to dry he spit a huge disgusting lougee in the garbage can right behind the desk right in front of me. I almost threw up on the desk and I'm a nurse so I've seen it all. When he used the lotion to "massage" my hands he was rough the entire time and it felt like he was going to pull my arms off and scratched me with my own rings because he wouldn't let me take them off. After all that I went to pay and asked for two $5s for change and he just handed me only one of my $5 bills backs. Yes I was going to tip him the other but still. I usually go to places based on reviews and I always look at yelp but I decided to give it a try anyways. Never again will I go to this place. read more

I have to start this review by saying I have tried my fair share of nail salons in Rochester and its surrounding towns. I have yet to find a place as clean and welcoming as Cinderella Nails. I called today at 10 to see if they had openings- the woman on the phone was very polite and scheduled me for 10:45. I arrived and saw what was one of the cleanest nail salons I have ever encountered. They do everything by the book, they line the pedicure basins, they don't re use files and are just all around sanitary. That was an A+ already for me. I got a hot stone pedicure and a gel manicure. By the time I left I was so relaxed and felt so pampered I needed a nap! The man that did my nails was gentle and and had an eye for detail which I appreciated a lot. Another woman helped me pick out colors and chose the colors that best matched the pictures I showed her. At the end I was left with soft relaxed feet and lovely nails. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality clean nail salon! Also any brides looking to do bridal parties with photos taken- this would be your spot! Lovely decor. read more

My friend and I went to get the dip powder done and it was the worst nail experience I've ever had. I've gone to a lot of nail salons around Rochester and have never been treated so aggressively and hastily. The manicurist didn't speak to me just flicked my finger if it wasn't in the right spot, used the electric file directly on my skin, and never shaved down the dip powder at the end so I had giant globs of paint on my finger tips. The manicurist who worked on my friend's nails actually broke her skin and she had small cuts around her cuticles. A for ambience, F for execution. Would neva eva go back again. read more

I went today with my two family members and it was a horrible experience. $80 down the drain for an 8 minute pedicure for the 3 of us and to be talked down upon and about in another language. Incredibly rude service, demanding that we get the more expensive pedicure, rude glares and dirty looks were given after a full tip was not given due to the horrible service. I will not be returning due to the terrible service and how uncomfortable these workers decided to make me and my family feel. You call yourself service providers but laugh at your clients ? Once we got home and called to understand the basic pedicure we were supposed to receive, they did not care about us being unhappy. Went in for a toe polish change, left with the new polish on my skin and not cleaned around the edges, and the old polish color (hot pink) smeared/stained all over my toes from being removed. Big toe was smudged while putting the pedi sandals on after application which should have been done first. When reapplied the tech only did one coat to fix the smudge and it's streaky. Felt very rushed. If i wanted polish all over my skin I would have done them myself, hence why I didn't. read more

They were extremely rude and pushy and since I'm not very confrontational, my nails were nothing at all like what I asked for. the first time i went to them a nail tech named James did my dip gel manicure and did a nice job. the second time I went 3 weeks later he did an okay job. after 1 week three nails and chipped. I called 6 days later and spoke with Adam. he said James no longer works there and had gone back to his previous hometown. I explained what my nails looked like and the chipping after 6 days of having a powder gel manicure. Adam said dot return and he would have all my nails done for half the price. I returned the following day. Needless to say Adam was not in but the female who greeted me was rude and couldn't understand why Adam would only charge 1/2 price to all my nails redone. I said due to 3 chipped nails and that 2 others were done incorrectly. I don't know the name of the person who did my nails, but he did a complete AWFUL AWFUL job besides he was extremely RUDE!!! He file them unevenly, and applied layer upon layer to the point i look like i have growths on each nail bed. This manicure for both times cost me $80 plus i tipped both times to the tune of spending $100 for an absolute awful job. Will never go there again and i hope whomever reads this will consider going someplace. Hopefully my bad experience will help someone else not fall into having an awful job done on your nails that cost so much. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at Cinderella. I had a 6 PM appointment and was there on time. However the technician did not get to me until 40 minutes later. They were very busy, however they should have told me when I arrived that although I had an appointment they were running well behind. Once the technician got to me she rushed and was done in 20 minutes. The worst part was that the whole time she was working on me, she was coughing. I used to love this salon. However now I have several issues. The owner, Linda said she hurt her finger. She led me to believe it was a short term issue. Now she says she won't be doing nails except if they are really busy. Why not be honest? I think she doesn't want to do nails anymore. She was really good at gel nails and pedis. I have gone back recently for pedis and have had rushed jobs. Not up to Linda's work at all. Planning on going one last time to see if I can find a good technician. This is sad as the place itself is clean and lovely. But the people who work there are not friendly and several are very rough. Several of the males who work there are esp rough... esp Gene. I've been going to Cinderella Nails for a year now and they are a good salon. Yes, there has been some dissatisfaction with a few nail technicians -- not all are the same. But this is the same no matter where I've gone. Most are non-English speaking -- but even American technicians are "iffy" when it comes to getting a good mani/pedi. Some of them talk so much while doing my nails rather than concentrating on their job. At Cinderella, I make a point of remembering who I like and then I make an appointment with that technician. Walking in without an appointment will get you whoever is available. The owners, Adam and Linda, are wonderful and really care about the feedback they get. Horrible customer service. I booked a service on line Saturday at 5pm for a Sunday morning 10 am appointment. I tried calling at 930 to make sure it was all set but no one picked up and I couldn't leave a message. So I showed up at 10 and the receptionist told me I had no appointment. I told her I booked on line and she gave me a sarcastic laugh and said She hasn't looked at the on line appointments and I probably booked it late last night. I showed her the confirmation and said no I booked it at 5 pm yesterday and you guys were still open. She then answered a phone call and then came back to me and said it will be at least 30 minutes and there were 4 people ahead of me. I would have waited if she was polite but I left. It's not my problem you didn't check the on line reservations, if the other people were walk ins then I should have been next since I made an appointment but she wasn't even trying to make things right. There's no "hello" from the person doing my nails or any acknowledgement whatsoever. Ridiculous. I have NEVER experienced this kind of disrespect, in an environment where I was paying for a service. At the rate this place is going they should be closed by the end of the month. First of all, I have never had a man do my nails well, because of this I requested a woman paint my nails when I made my appt.. I showed up for my appt. and had to wait 20 mins to even be put in a chair. On top of this, when I finally was put in a chair for my pedi, a man came up to do my toes. I kindly informed him I'd rather have a woman do them. So the woman comes up and doesn't say a word to me at first then asks my what pedi I wanted. I told her I only wanted the $25 one, I was planning on doing one with more services but at this point I knew I didn't want to spend my money here. She seemed very offended that I didn't choose the most expensive one. Next she started to push back my cuticles without any cuticle oil, which was very painful and from what I've heard from my normal nail lady, bad for your nail beds. Next she filed my feet... two times per foot. After painting my toes she got up and walked over to a chair and after a couple of seconds standing behind it yells at me to go sit in it like I was supposed to know what to do. So I go sit down and she reaches out her hand for me to give her the money, without saying anything. Normally if I didn't like a nail salon I'd tip and just not go back but I couldn't even bring myself to tip so I gave her $25. She said to me "This it??" Asking if that was all I'd be giving her. I replied "yes it is, thanks." She gave me a look, and huffed away. No one came up to me for the rest of the time I was there so I had to take my toe separators out and check to see if my nails were dry. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. This place is very clean and very sanitized. Certainly the best inexpensive Mani/Pedi in Pittsford/Brighton. Most technicians have been very friendly. Today was my first bad experience. The technician was a very fast to get my pedicure done, was irritated when I put my feet back in the water when I wasn't supposed to, irritated when I didn't have my feet placed right in the polishing stand. The entire service took around 20 minutes. I tipped her almost 15%, more than what I thought she deserved. She was clearly upset threw my card and the receipt on the table and ignored me when I asked her if I was done drying. Boo! read more

went in for a pedicure and a dip manicure. the pedicure was nice but it seemed rushed, not much time was spent on each part. the massage in the spa pedicure was rough and basically just applying pressure on my legs up and down in the same location. the color i picked was lighter than i expected and the gentleman rushed and quickly did two coats when I think adding more would've made it nicer and a darker color. as for my manicure the dip part itself is very nice and I am pleased but I left with bleeding cuticles. the nail tool they use left my cuticles bleeding and all rough. now about a week later my cuticles look terrible. the gentleman i had was also very rough with my hand placement and didn't I like the way i would position my hand. he kept trying to get me to relax my hand more but was rough when doing so. he also seemed very rude and like he didn't enjoy what he was doing. overall i am pleased with the manicure but disappointed in the cuticles. next time i would try and find something that did a better job and didn't leave me with hurting cuticles. read more

Absolutely do not waste your time and money. I bought a gift certificate here for my daughter to use for her prom this month and after buying it I then read reviews for the place and they were very negative so I used the gift certificate today with a good attitude to see if the reviews were exaggerated. What a terrible experience. I had the basic pedicure and the nail technician was done in about 15 minutes at the most. It was basically soak your feet in water without soap, fast yanking on the cuticles without any cuticle softener, literally 2-3 swipes up the leg with exfoliator and a brief massage to the lower leg. The technician was incredibly rude and then at the end of the "pedicure" after just getting up to move to the dryer she comes up to me with a miserable attitude and says, "can you pay me now". Those words were the some of the few she uttered to me the entire 15 minutes. This woman clearly doesn't like her job and the entire culture while observing the other technicians seemed to indicate that it is a pervasive problem. I've never had worse service anywhere. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I'm shocked they are still is business. read more
