I had been going to another salon every couple of weeks, but I always felt like my nails looked sloppy when I left, and I wasn't happy. So yesterday, I decided to start looking up other salons. I don't remember the name of the guy who did my nails and toes, but the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. My biggest gripe with my old salon was that my nails were never shaped evenly, and the polish around my cuticles always looked like a mess. I like my nails short and simple, but I still want them to look nice. I left beyond happy with the service I received. I requested a specific nail tech based on Yelp reviews. When I arrived, I was assigned someone else (there were just two techs present, the other with a client). This person did my pedi and SNS manicure. The pedi was fine. My nails and the process were unimpressive. Despite gentle requests throughout my experience regarding editing the shape and lengths to be neater (multiple times), I still thought they looked VERY amateur as the lengths and shapes are inconsistent and they are thick. A few days later, I can now see where the gel was removed from my toes as the polish is separated (as if it wasn't smoothed before application), the powder is showing lines like cracks on most of my nails... and some of my nails have chipped along those cracks. I still tipped appropriately because of the amount of time spent, but I'm disappointed that I spent my time and money on the quality of service I received. All that said, they got the job done. My mother found this place while running errands after she moved to Rochester in 2018. She has been raving about the powder manicure for months, so yesterday we had a girls day and I had my first ever powder manicure. I'm usually a gel manicure girl. I like knowing my nails stay fresh for 3 weeks, plus I despise sitting under the fan and waiting for my nails to dry at the end of a regular manicure. We had a 5:30 reservation with Toby and Mary, two amazing manicurists who took my nails from beastly to beautiful in under 45 minutes. There were a ton of colors to choose from which was an overwhelming experience for me. After picking a color, second-guessing that choice, making a new decision, and doubting that choice as well, I sat down in Mary's chair. My pre-manicure nails were embarrassing. I'm a stress nail-biter and nail-picker, so I'll leave the rest to your imagination. My nails were gorgeous after 3 dips in the powder, a shiny glaze top coat, and a dip in the paraffin wax. Had a callous pedicure $38. They were very quick, and the pedicure turned out nice. The salon is very large. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, and it was quiet and calm for which I was quite happy. The only real complaint I have was all of the TVs were tuned to a woman's soccer game and the sound was extremely loud from the game. Who wants to go to get their nails done and listen to a Sports game. I didn't mind that it was on the TV. I recently had a mani and pedi and need to say what should have been a pleasant experience turned out to be painful and unpleasant. I have gone to this salon for years and will not return. I made a phone call to the salon, was told my call would be returned and it never was (5 days ago). My fingers are still sore although the infection seems to be getting better. I was unable to communicate with the technician. She cut cuticles way to close, causing pain and infection; used the wrong polish, causing smearing and uneven finish. I left after over 2 hours extremely unsatisfied. I would never recommend this salon. read more

I had the worst experience here last night. I walked in for a pedicure. The women was nice at first, she was about 5 feet skinny with short hair, older women. I proceeded to tell her that I wanted the callus removal pedicure ($38) and she continued to try to up sale me to the Spa pedicure (55$) mind you it's an additional $15 for gel. I told her what I wanted at least 5 times before she gave up. Before the start of the service I told her I wanted a SQUARE / STRAIGHT look on my toes. She went ahead and cut the corners of my toes and also rounded them out, I told her I was not happy that she did that and wasn't happy with the service and she continued to say "ok,ok" I asked her to fix it for me but she acted like she didn't understand me & continued to brush me off. My toes weren't the same length on each foot smh. She then made fun of how much callus was removed from my feet she pointed to the scrapper & said "see, see" and laughed. After seeing how upset I was, she walked off for a little over 5-8minutes, while I sat there she started to massage another customer. I said excuse me! What's going on? she told me to wait a minute, at this point the entire salon could tell how unhappy I was and someone else came to paint my toes. I asked him if I could get a discount off service because I was not happy with how my toes were shaped after specifically asking for them to be squared, he then proceeded to file them down even shorter, his paint job wasn't the best- I had paint on my toes and was left at the pedicure station to take off my own toe dividers. I didn't get an apology nor a discount - the lady cashed me out & had the NERVE to wait for a tip. This is the first time in My life I haven't tipped for service. My experience here was horrible & I'll never come back! I waisted an hour & a half for a gel pedicure that wasn't relaxing at all! My nails grow so well with the dip powder. I love that they can use the dip to make an ombré design. Celine has done my nails the last few times I've been and she's good. The price is pretty reasonable for dip powder...$33 if you pay with cash. They last like 3 weeks...maybe sooner if your nails grow super fast. There's a rewards program so you get small discounts here and there. They give you water bottles or soda cans.
