Apparently I totally missed the "massage" because I turned my head to the side. Now that I'm home I can see polish on my skin in many spots. Also had to ask him several times to file/cut nails short. I've been here a few times to get manicures in the past. Last time I decided to get a pedicure. It just looked ok, but I was going out of town and figured it was good enough. When I took the polish off my toes, my big toe had a huge fungus and my toenail had split in half! Do NOT go to this place and expect to get a safe pedicure. They use plastic liners and supposedly disinfect the tools, but the clippers she clipped my toes with came from her little bucket and she seemed to use the same ones on everyone. I just got my nails done today and I should've worn my glasses because when I got home, I was able to see how terrible they look like the shape is awful. I wish people would stop hyping this place up I can't come here and get a decent manicure without the GEL POLISH PEELING OFF less than a week or if I get gel dip the nails r coming off 3-4 days after I get them done. Today was the last straw I came in to just get my toes done and the woman who did my pedicure left my toes looking lopsided and the polish was not dry when I finished I stood up and it smudged terribly. The service here depends on who does your nails. The staff is always so friendly but the quality is not consistent. Sometimes they're great and sometimes I leave very disappointed. My last manicure was uneven, the gel was bumpy, the shape was half square half round, glue was left under my nails, and cuticles were still hanging. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want your nails to be completely destroyed. I went in because of the good price and its proximity to Tulane campus, and my nails will never be the same. I take great care of my nails, they were extremely healthy and strong. My nail tech(Tracy) brought a bowl of pure acetone and made me soak my nails for twenty five minutes nonstop. Every time I removed my hands because my nails were BURNING and bending in ways they shouldn't, she shoved my hands back in. I've had this set of Gel for less than two weeks and my nails are breaking left right and center. They also told my roommate that they didn't offer tips but then did it on a client next to her. We went here on New Year's Eve in 2023. Let me just rave a little. We got a hot stone massage, leg and foot exfoliation, and regular polish for $34. This is an excellent price. The massage chair was spectacular and we felt great after!!! This is great for hardworking medical professionals who "people" all day and want to get a pedi without having to socialize. The workers were happily talking among themselves while working. It was refreshing to see them having a good time at work, and not have to worry about much interaction. 10/10 recommend. read more

It was a problem when I mention that my nails doesn't look neat for a French manicure because it was sloppy. I won't ever come again. If I could give no stars I would. This place is OK. I came here due to reviews from recommendation from a Facebook group. I am new to New Orleans, and have been to a lot of nail salons throughout the years. I got a simple manicure and pedicure. Everything was just OK, in my opinion. I had one lady doing my toes and another lady doing my nails. The lady doing my toes was on the phone most of the time she was doing my toes. The lady doing my nails turned off my massage chair while doing my cuticles, which I understand it's difficult when a client is moving around, HOWEVER, why do my nails on the massage chair then if I am not allowed to use it? I picked 3 different regular colors. I asked if they have any samples/ swatch of the colors, they said no. Which is FINE. But, I also asked if I could swatch it on my nails quickly so I can pick which shade I like best, they also said NO. I've never been to a nail salon that doesn't allow me to swatch the different colors, so that's weird. Lastly, when they were done, they didn't say a thing, just gave me a receipt and walked away. Didn't fan my nails to make sure they're dry, didn't ask if everything was fine, and didn't check on me at all. The quality of the polish is OK, nothing that I couldn't do myself, the only "Good" thing they did was probably the cleaning portion of the mani and pedi. I really appreciate how consistent the service and quality at Cindy's has been over the last year. This second location was definitely needed as their original Carrollton Street location is always full, and I never feel like I get the best service. On the other hand, the Magazine Street location is always empty with technicians waiting to serve you. I've only had pedicures here, and I've never been disappointed. I don't go to a particular tech because everyone is stellar. Both locations offer a frequent customer card, so after ten $10 or more services you receive $10 off your eleventh service. The pedicure chairs provide great massages and their nail polish collection is unmatched! The location is handicapped accessible with an automated lift to assist those in a wheelchair. read more

This is definitely my new go-to nail spot! I've gotten my nails done twice here now, and the service and quality of my gel manicure was great both times. The service is always quick and the staff is always friendly. In addition, the polish on my nails is flawless and lasts much longer than the nail salon I used to go to! Atmosphere, aesthetic, color options all are a 5! The place is stunning, as soon as you walk in it's super bright with a huge chandelier and are immediately greeted! You look to your left and the color options seem endless, more than anywhere else I've been! Pedicure was a 2! The massage was great, but the color didn't last. In pre-COVID times, I traveled around the country frequently, and thus, had opportunities to visit a ton of nail salons along the way. This is, by far, the cleanest, friendliest, and most professional salon I've experienced. Before and during COVID, workstations are frequently sanitized and everything is wiped clean throughout your visit (e.g., they don't throw your nail trimmings on the ground like some dirtier salons do). They also offer beverages and a stamp card that rewards you with $10 after 10 visits (which is a nice bonus if you get your nails done on a regular basis). read more

Cindy's is good. This location (Magazine) in particular- the original S. Carrollton spot is closer to the universities and can be more overrun, but there's always a seat at the Magazine location, although it has gotten busier. It's always very clean. The prices are reasonable and on par with other basic nail salons in the area. Definitely splurge and get the deluxe pedicure- it's not much more $ than the basic, but has the bells & whistles that make it worth it- hot stones, scrubs, etc. I don't think they do any nail designs, but I've never asked. You can get a complimentary cup of white wine, red wine, or soda with your service. read more

If you go anytime except right when they open, you will wait 45 minutes to an hour before they start. So you have to make an appointment? Wrong. You can call to make one and they'll accept it but won't start working on you until 30 minutes after your scheduled time. The owner (or manager I am not sure) is always rude. He is at the front and will shuffle you in. If you have the common sense to ask how long, he says "20 minutes" no matter what. If you have 3 hours to waste on a manicure and pedicure, then this is the place for you. read more
