This concept is something I would've dreamed of as a kid. Cinnamon rolls where you pick your frosting, flavor, and toppings. They also have brownies, cookies, cookie dough, and a few beverages and other items. But of course we went for the cinnamon rolls and they did not disappoint. I got the roll with amaretto frosting and raspberries and my girls got a cookie dough with chocolate chips and a Cookie Monster which was the same but with chocolate sauce and cream cheese frosting. Love the customizing you can do so everyone can get their dream roll and did I mention the original reason we were so excited, it's a vegan bakery so my daughter with an egg allergy could get whatever her little heart desired. Everything was wonderful and the raspberries really cut through the richness so I would highly recommend but that didn't seem to impact the girls as they ate theirs with the cookie dough. There was a pretty big line which we expected being day two but we're pleasantly surprised with how fast it moved. This place is incredible. I tried the apple pie cinnamon roll and my husband had the peanut butter roll. Both were delicious however I would highly recommend trying the peanut butter one first. The frosting is what dreams are made of. We will definitely go back. Like others have mentioned, there is no designated space for eating. Grab your rolls and walk across the street to Starbucks for some drinks. Not a major issue at all. This place is for non-vegans and vegans alike. Ask for a cookie dough sample. The concept is fantastic, but there needs to be some improvements. If you get a warm food bakery item, you need a place to eat it. It was cold by the time I was able to eat it and a microwave did not do it any favors. The line needs to be more efficient. I was in there far too long. Came here with a friend who is vegan. There entire menu is vegan friendly! The food is decently priced and absolutely delicious. Service is pretty fast depending on what you order. There isn't really anywhere to eat, so you either have to sit on the window ledge, or take your food to go. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sweet treat, vegan or not! read more

My daughter really likes this place. She and her friends go here all of the time. Today she asked if I would like one. She bought me back an Old Skool. It did not live up to the hype. It was doughy and undercooked. From what I could see, it wasn't even brown on the sides or the bottom (other than the cinnamon mixture). I was disappointed and told my daughter to inspect each one she purchases from now on to make sure it's cooked all the way. Front door is on Main Street across from Giordano's but their street address is actually Jefferson. I believe this is due to the building owner insisting on keeping a Jefferson address where his name is on the front LOL - not Cinnaholic's fault! Knocking a star off for that is wrong and irrelevant, people. Stick to a review of the product. Pros: Tasty; lots of options; price is right for getting a custom made cinnamon roll ($5 for a large roll, $.25 for each topping); staff is friendly. You will not have that bloated, full feeling you get when you get a mass produced, store brand cinnamon roll or a Cinnabon. Fresh, light and much better. Cons: Cinnamon flavor lost with overloaded toppings by staff - ease up on the frosting and it'll be perfect. I got to sample one of their cinnamon bread sticks, which was good but too light on the cinnamon and really didn't need frosting because the dough is so light and wonderful. Their day old rolls on the counter are $2.50. Can't beat that. read more

I am someone with a casien allergy, and it's so nice being able to eat at a place without worrying about if they have accommodations for it! Great idea, but unfortunately the execution is so fatally flawed here. Nothing about this place was good. I was running errands in downtown Naperville one evening and thought I would stop in and try this new place. The first problem is that they state the address as being on Jefferson, when it is actually on Main Street. So, it's frustrating just trying to find the location. I was the only customer when I walked in, and there were four employees visible behind the counter. The concept of Vegan Cinnamon Rolls is great, but removing things like butter from recipes create numerous challenges to the product, and unfortunately they failed. There are quite a few options to choose from, for both icings and toppings. Unfortunately, many of the options are "too much of a good thing" and do not make for great flavor or healthy eating. I chose a fairly simple combo of Almond Icing with Almonds sprinkled on top. The employee who took my order asked my name, as if there were a huge line of people behind me and they feared there could be a potential mix up. Somehow the name "Jim" became "Eldon" to her. When I corrected her, she changed it to "Gim", so even that was in error. Despite there being four employees behind the counter, it took well over five minutes to receive my order. Since everything was pre-made, it shouldn't have taken more than 30 seconds to complete my order. When my roll was ready, the employee called out my name and looked around as if there were several people waiting. The whole process was very impersonal and frustratingly long. Once I received my order, I realized there was no place to sit inside the establishment so I would have to find another location to try my Cinnaholic Roll. In early March, the weather isn't conducive to outdoor dining, so I had to walk to my car to get a bite of my roll. Since they only package their rolls in thin cardboard, this resulted in my cinnamon roll getting cold by the time I walked the block to my car. However, the worst of it all was the actual product. The basic pastry was bland and completely lacked any cinnamon flavor. They might as well have used a basic pound cake. The texture was chewy rather than soft. The almond icing was so cloyingly sweet that it really overwhelmed the flavor of the roll. All you tasted was such achingly sweet artificial almond flavor. The icing was also so thin, it looked more like soup than frosting. The appearance of the roll was absolutely nothing like the photos you see in shop. The almond slivers sprinkled on top of the roll did nothing to enhance the flavor or texture of the roll. It would have been better to skip having them. (Might I suggest toasting the almonds for enhanced flavor and texture?). The final result was I paid about $6 for a basically inedible pastry, and frustratingly poor customer service. This place honestly gets everything wrong. Their version of vegan isn't healthy or user friendly. read more

My first experience at Cinnaholic was not a pleasant one. My son broke his ankle and have been at his home in Naperville helping him out. On 6/29 we were craving something sweet. We're only minutes away, but to be sure I called Cinnaholic first. I called at 7:45pm and asked if they had smores and berry cheesecake. Woman replied "we have everything on the menu". I said I'm only a few minutes away is that ok if I head over? Woman rudely replied yes. Arrived at 7:49pm and same woman I spoke to announced they only had 3 rolls left. Please explain why "running low" was not conveyed to me on the phone or even if were close to running low, why didn't she mention that? I could have given her my order. I asked the two men in line in front of me how many they were ordering. They said 2, which means I could at least get 1 for my son. I placed the order and was instructed to wait outside. Not the friendly inviting experience I was hoping for. If your business is doing so well that customers are coming up to the last minute, consider yourself blessed!!!! Make more, but please don't be rude and short with me. Yes, amazing product but if your staff (I found out this woman was the manager and her name is M.C.) is rude and not pleasant and respectful to customers, that will cause you to lose business. read more
