Special heart-shaped eggplant pizza
Holly C.

Once in awhile you come across a business owner who takes enormous pride in their products, and makes them as though they are making it for their own family. I called Cioffi's and got Jerry the owner, who helped make my friend's birthday extra special by honoring my request for a heart-shaped pizza to be delivered to his house on his birthday. Jerry was in on it from the moment I explained what I wanted, as excited and joyful about the surprise as I hoped our friend would be! He was excited about our idea, excited for my friend, and excited to play his part in the whole thing. He even sent me texts as he was preparing it and just before he gave it to the delivery guy. I am so grateful for such a well executed (and delicious!!!!) surprise. Thank you, Jerry!!! Stay YOU!!

I found this place on my lunch break it is a hidden gem. They have everything. I mean everything. They have all types of salads pasta's, pizza, hamburger cheeseburger french fries. You name it. It's nice it's cozy fairly clean. A pleasure to visit here the salad I had was a kale salad with grilled chicken. I also had fruit salad. And a diet cream soda. The service was great. And the story behind a little place was cool. Even though it is out of my way I will definitely go back when I'm in this area

"Chicken parm"

Ordered chicken parm and got burnt grilled chicken over pasta and no cheese. So disappointed.

A great local deli in Springfield which offers you cold dishes and hot dishes mostly Italian, I was very pleased with their service and everyone was friendly, there is seating inside more like a bar a few chairs by the pizza stand but it seemed more like a pick up and go, I ended up enjoying the outdoor dining since the weather was great, recommend their subs, ordered the tuna and mozz and coming from Hoboken where we make the mozz fresh and bread it was delish! I have to go back and try their pizza they do offer vegetarian pizza and have an amazing hot menu, definitely recommend checking them out. T

Breaded shrimp 4 pieces Vodka ravioli 7 raviolis (watered down sauce) Water bottle Price $33

This place is average if that but what kills it is the price. I asked "what exactly are the prices?" I was amazed. The guy was making prices as they went, when I approached the register he's telling her prices to charge me. This is what you'd expect at a cheap deli, shouldn't be making up prices. This is some overpriced Italian spot with halfway decent food.... I would never return.... 33 dollars I could've ate at a way better spot. And got way more food... big thumbs down to them

When you want a local Italian deli, where you walk in and you feel like you've been there 1000x this is it. Cioffi's comes in strong with a great pizza, great sandwiches, and on top of it you feel like family. Some outdoor seating and one or two indoor tables, but most come in and pick up. 5 stars all the way

Roast beef sandwich just like the old days with less meat, but be careful the hidden new price without warning, may makes you become donkey fool of you, nice place , but if you want to be a donkey , it's up to you. Ready to get shock ?

Pizza not the best, hot food bar dried out, counter people need to sharpen English skills, expensive on most items, and a little pushy

Jersey does sandwiches right and this deli proves it. I got the Jersey Italian: ham, Genoa salami,…read moreprovolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, vinegar, olive oil, and herbs on an Italian roll. At nine inches it hit the spot. ;) In fact, it's big enough for two, and perfect as is. With a great balance of vinegar and cheese and a dusting of parm, it had that classic flavor you can't fake. If this sandwich ran for governor, it would win. We also tried a couple of their Sfogliatelle. It was flaky, crisp, filled, and way bigger than expected. My whole family enjoyed them so next time I'm getting four. A real neighborhood gem! NOTES/TIPS: **Family-run, fast service, solid food. Hot dinner entrées, catering, and antipasti platters available. **Grocery section has biscotti, pasta, olive oils, and spreads- good for gifting. **Order on DoorDash, ChowNow. The place is small yet mighty and very clean. I picked up a few essentials for my carbonara dish and they had not one, but several, guanciale alternatives as well as a variety of imported pastas, including gluten-free varieties. Thank you, Scott, and team, for continuing to offer such a great corner store with delicious foods!

Millburn has no shortage of delis, but Goldberg's Famous Deli is definitely at the top of the list…read more Goldberg's offers deli traditional favorites like fresh-baked bagels, lox, and sandwiches piled high with deli meats, as well as healthier options like salads when you want something lighter in an unapologetically casual ambiance. Goldberg's has been a local staple in Millburn since Tina and Marty Goldberg first opened the doors back in July 1977. The current owners took over in December 2022 and have done a fantastic job keeping the soulful and "old-school" Jewish-style deli spirit alive while making many subtle but meaningful improvements that today's diners expect and appreciate. However, it still has that authentic, "old-school deli" ambiance where you order at the counter then grab a table to wait for your meal and could end up with mismatched silverware. It's charmingly low-key and with a focus entirely on the food. The deli sandwiches are massive and the quality of the ingredients is consistently high. Unfortunately, that also means that the prices are somewhat higher than you might expect. A single deli sandwich served with a small bag of potato chips is in the $20-$22 range, which feels like a bit of a splurge for a casual lunch. That said.. You definitely won't leave hungry and the portion sizes encourage sharing or taking half of your dish home for a second meal. My dining companion and I split the West Orange sandwich, made with corned beef, turkey, russian dression, and cole slaw, on rye bread, which was excellent. We'll definitely be back. PRO TIP #1: Bring your wallet. I do feel obligated to point out that Goldberg's should be rated as a $$ / moderate price range (indicating $11 to $30 per person) rather than a $ / inexpensive price range (indicating under $10 per person). PRO TIP #2: While they don't have a private lot, there is plenty of on-street parking and municipal lots nearby. Use the mPay2Park app for the pay-by-plate meters ($0.50 per hour). Meters operate Monday through Saturday from 8am to 7pm; all street meters are free after 7 pm and all day Sunday. If the street is full, the Essex Street parking deck (24 Lackawanna Place) is a reliable backup.
