Well, friends, another strip restaurant that is overhyped and overpriced catering to tourists who are either enamored with the name or else are visiting who will never return. Again, I will be comparing Cipriani to restaurants of the same ilk, expensive and flashy restaurants in casinos (think Sinatra, Cut, Craftsteak.) We made reservations through Resy and arrived 45 minutes early. The hostess directed us to the bar to wait but did note that she would talk to the manager to expedite our seating. The bartender was knowledgeable and prompt. My partner ordered an Old Fashioned which was tasty and based on her preference for certain bourbons the bartender was able to glean and offer to her a second Old Fashioned with a choice bourbon that was novel to her but did indeed have a distinct character that changed the complexion of the drink but suited her tastes well. The drink was a nice pour but the ice was simple cubed ice. No fancy clear ice or single cube/sphere. The glassware was simple. We were seated pleasantly 25 minutes early. The decor is meant to simulate being in a cruise ship and the layout along with the faux portholes with a screen showing ocean waves did indeed remind us of a cruise ship dining room. The servers were dressed in white double breasted frocks and the managers wore single or double breasted suits. The noise level was just on this side of loud but we were able to have a conversation without shouting. As another reviewer noted, the menus were cheap, printed in brochure fashion, on poor paper stock with some of the worse font imaginable. The lettering was thin and small, and the descriptions were undecipherable. We started with the Doge salad and this showed promise. The greens were fresh and varied and the tuna cuts were large, pink and tasty. The dressing was very light olive oil. The bread selection was meager. Four slices of thin sour dough that barely qualified as such along with bread sticks that were probably found at Costco. The olive oil was uninspired with a lack luster tint of green and the primary taste was bitter. No floral notes or savory hints. The balsamic vinegar in contrast was bright and cheery with fruity notes. The entrée. Ah, where to begin. Let me say that the presentation is why I have given this restaurant a 1 star rating. My partner ordered the Australian Ribeye "Wagyu". Regardless of price ($125), this was a travesty. Go to Burger King; you'll get better meat there. To describe the dish as a slab of meat would be a compliment. The grill marks were cross hatched and symmetrical. That's about where the good description ends. There was no garnish; the salt was terrible, and the meat was bland. The wagyu is renowned for it's marbling and the texture of the meat is supposed to be almost akin to butter: it melts in your mouth. This "steak" was fibrous and cloying. I have eaten Playdoh that is better. The side dish of spinach (substitute) was a serving of wilted and boiled leaves. Not even Popeye would touch this stuff. The meal was served on plateware that was about on par for a cruise ship buffet (commodity) and the silverware about the same (not even a steak knife.) I ordered the veal over rice pilaf. If anything, my partner's dish was more appealing. Four slices of grey matter, drowned in a grey-yellow sauce, served on a plain white dish, accompanied by grey, homogenous rice. Prison cafeteria food has better presentation than this, and more color. $65 for two sallow colored pieces of food. If I didn't have depression, I do now. See the attached pictures. My description doesn't do it justice. On a brighter note, our server, Jonathan, was exemplary. I told him flat out: he needs to find a better place to work. His talents are wasted here and the food will ruin his career. The bathrooms were above average. Oddly there is a staff member posted because people continually make the wrong turn and he directed everyone away from the kitchen. The bathrooms themselves were clean but unlike the dining room very dark! I mean pull out your cell phone and use the camera light dark. Nice, I suppose. We concluded with the chocolate garnish cake. Clearly another chef was in charge of the desserts. The chocolate had an excellent balance between dark cacao with hints of woody bitterness versus sweetness and the texture of the icing and sponge was a perfect contrast of soft and moist. Including tip, our meal came to $400. We had three drinks, a salad, chocolate cake and a three (and a half) color entrée which came out to about $100 per color, and one of them was grey. 1-star. read more

Okay so this place is located at the Wynn Hotel and i must say this is too fancy for my taste but it's not bad. The prices were a bit steep for my liking but the service is actually really good. Dont come here unless you plan on spending a good amount. The ambiance and environment is rich. The free bread and bread sticks is good. 5/5 The calamari was tiny but the tartar sauce was really good. Wish they gave more for the price they charge 3.5/5 The pizza: got the spicy meat and the regular cheese pizza. The cheese kept falling off, but the crust is really good. 3/5 Got some meat appetizer with brick Parmesan cheese: 2/10. The main entree was some rigatoni with meat sauce and that was a 5/5. I'm in total disbelief that this restaurant has so much hype around it. Honestly this has to be the worst restaurant I've ever ate at in Vegas. Safe to say I will never try any of their other locations since apparently Vegas' is better than the LA one. I don't even want to imagine what the LA one is like. For my Birthday we went to this fantastic ship inspired high end restaurant to cure our hunger after the mesmerizing Awakening show. The iconic restaurant brings classic glamour, impeccable service, and Italian and Venetian recipes to the Wynn Plaza, continuing the history and four generation family tradition of "to serve is first to love." The service here is top notch and we quickly made friends with our waiter who helped us along the menu. We ordered the classic margarita pizza, pesto fettuccine and the chef's special of slow braised beef with mashed potatoes. Over all, the food was fresh and well made. The beef was a bit plain, it was covered in caramelized onions and a sauce which I felt that I could have made at a slow cooker crockpot at home, but sometimes those chef's specials can be hit or miss! We had a disabled person in our group. They have no waiting area seating other than the bar, which has high stools which also don't accommodate someone with a disability. Our table was ready so I explained the situation to the manager. He was aggressively rude to me at the request. We join the others mystified by the three star rating. We had an excellent meal and will definitely return. We went at the start of dinner on Monday and were immediately seated. Our server Vincenzo was outstanding and very attentive. He definitely enhanced our dining experience. He was very knowledgeable about the extensive menu. I ordered the grilled Tuna Steak. What a treat! It was delicious and perfectly prepared. My wife had the Langoustine Scampi, also off the grill. Another hit. Both dishes came with a salad. A tomato salad with the Tuna and mixed greens with the Langoustine Scampi. Both were delicious.We shared an order of Gnocchi, which was recommended in a previous review. Totally worth it! Really good food! I'd say the only caveat would be the drinks are not the best. Unless you're getting something in a bottle or can, maybe skip on the mixed drinks here. I wasn't overly impressed with everything but it is conveniently located in the Wynn and the food was quick enough. The gnocchi is very good, the salmon was very good, but overall I would suggest heading to another place in Vegas if you want a really exceptional experience. The gelato was my favorite part! The location wasn't very busy, a lot of servers around, fairly intimate but definitely not accommodating with larger groups of people; we basically had to seat on each others laps for a group of 8. read more

Surprisingly, it's a tall order to a restaurant (1) in a nice hotel on the strip that's considered (2) fine dining but still casual enough and (3) one that's open for a late lunch/early dinner (4pm-ish). Our concierge recommended Cipriani's, and we were a little hesitant at first: we had been to their other properties and loved it but we didn't want anything "stuffy". We walked by it first and thought it looked great, so we decided to make the reservation. What a nice surprise! Our wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the decor was understated (especially by Vegas standards), but chic and beautiful, and everything we ordered was delicious -- the veal tonnato, the spanish sardines, and the calf's liver were all very craveable. The service was pristine: professional, friendly, and perfectly timed. I had the Mediterranean Branzino with Broccoli Rabe and it was chef's kiss--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For appetizers, we shared the Burrata, Shrimp Tempura, Calamari and Shrimp combo, and Tuna Tartare--every single bite was delicious and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to the balsamic vinegar served with the bread--seriously, the best I've ever had. I could've made a meal out of that alone. While waiting at the bar, I enjoyed a Mangorita--smooth, tropical, and super refreshing. Great start to the evening! Cipriani stays true to their fine dining reputation. I very much appreciate a space that respects a dress code, especially when you are in a luxurious setting. Service was a 10/10 for me, great recommendations, and accommodating to our request for off-the-menu items. Their martini glasses are quite unique and rather small for what it costs, but you do enjoy a well-crafted cocktail. I would suggest sticking with wine. We enjoyed the steak tartare, very tender and decadent. The ham tagliolini was our favorite. A delicious layer of crispy cheese with spinach pasta and ham, it is a must indeed. The bolognese was an off-the-menu item, definitely hearty and satisfying. We'll be back to indulge in some pizza and that infamous vanilla meringue dessert. read more

We ate at Cipriani's and were sorely disappointed. The food was simply not good. It was very bland. For the price, the food should be good as it's quite expensive. We ate here several years ago and it was delicious, which unfortunately is no longer the case. I wrote an email to them about our experience, but three days later not even the courtesy of the response. We complained about the food during the experience, and they did replace the dishes. Even some of the replacement dishes were unedible (a crazy amount of salt). We were fully charged for our meal, despite the wait and bad food. We asked the waiter if there is a discount for locals, he said he would check but never did. The two stars are for the desert and because the waiter and manager were friendly. read more

Don't go here. Very snobby host. I was hosting a work dinner and his treatment of my guests was embarrassing and hurt my business interaction. Plus the food was not good and they have a weird rule about not putting the wine bottle on the table-- so then you buy a $225 bottle of wine, but then wait for it to be poured. We waited and waited and only had two glasses of it since our food was done by the time they poured more ... I'm sure someone there enjoyed it! I've never been to a restaurant where I spent over $250 for lunch for two and was greeted so poorly. The door greeter looked us up and down, rolled their lip in disgust, and acted as if we couldn't afford to eat there based on how we were dressed. We're locals, it was a rainy day, and there is no dress code, yet we seemed to receive noticeably different treatment compared to other guests -- which felt influenced by the color of our skin. Once seated, the service lacked the same ambiance and attention others around us received, and the drinks were extremely small for $20 each. Overall, this was a disappointing and uncomfortable experience, and I'll be letting friends, clients, and other locals know that this is not a place I can recommend. read more

Had not been to a Cipriani before our visit to Las Vegas, although I have enjoyed many fine Italian restaurants, especially in San Francisco. We arrived on time for our 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly, while others without reservations were being told there would be a 45 minute wait. The host took is to a back room which was smaller than the main dining room and nicely decorated without a lot of Vegas kitsch. When we were seated the room was just over half full of patrons. The wait staff was attentive and responsive however that was the best part of the meal. Now I realize Las Vegas is expensive and we are used to fine dining costs, however this place seemed a bit much. We started by ordering sparkling water, which came as a large Pellegrino bottle and showed up on the bill for $12, compared to the less than $3 per bottle I pay in a case of 12 at Costco. Just a little mark up there. Next were the drinks, a glass of wine for my wife and non-alcoholic beer for myself. No issue with these. They brought a basket with bread and breadsticks, along with olive oil and balsamic. The bread was pieces of ordinary sourdough and okay focaccia. Unfortunately they took away the olive oil and balsamic before we could refresh our bread plates for the remaining bread. We split the spinach salad for $26 which was fine, nothing special, except for the huge lump of ricotta cheese in the middle. Moving on to the entrees, my wife ordered the Cipriani Rigatoni "Alla Genovese". It came out on a metal tray and the waiter transferred her serving to the plate and placed the metal tray on the table with the remaining pasta. While the rigatoni was cooked al dente, the sauce, which was a veal broth reduction, was weak and thin. There was no meat as a normal Genovese sauce would have, just pasta sitting in sauce. This entree was $38. As for myself, I ordered the Veal Piccatine. It arrived as 4 pieces of thin veal lying in a lemony sauce. The veal was not as tender as it could be and was very salty. It was not an appealing looking plate. It came with a side dish of rice pilaf which was, hmm.. just rice, what can I say? It did nothing for the veal. This bit of chef's expertise was a cool $65. Unfortunately I don't gamble so I couldn't pay for this less stellar entree with winnings from the house. By this time in the meal the room was full of diners with a number groups of six or more. There are no soft surfaces in the space so noise levels were such that conversation was difficult. It was time for dessert and I love Tiramisu so this was hoped to be a good ending to a mediocre meal. But no. We ordered one and it came in a round cup with cocoa powder liberally sprinkled across the top. Expecting a treat we dug in and found mostly whipped cream, with a few ladyfingers clustered at the bottom. Turns out this dessert was as lacking in good execution as the rest of the meal. Basically a cup of whipped cream for $22. I guess since Cipriani's is a chain of 30 restaurants around the world, it thinks it has a cache of exclusivity due it's locations and high prices, but it is perfect example of a restaurant that has an attitude of let's bang out mediocre food and charge a lot so the tourists think they are getting wonderful fine dining when they pay a big bill. My advice, forget the high brow chain restaurant attitude, save your money and find a real Italian restaurant. read more

I almost never leave restaurant reviews, but this experience was SO FAR from what I anticipated that I cannot keep silent. I CAN say two positive things about this restaurant. The staff were pleasant, and the desserts were good. Beyond that, the experience was simply the WORST "fine dining" experience I've ever endured. To begin with, the ambient noise levels made enjoying the meal impossible. I watched the meter on my Apple Watch hover above 80 dB for almost the entire meal. When we were greeted at our table, the waiter who took our drink orders knew what single malt scotch whiskys were unavailable, but hadn't a clue what WERE, and there was no menu listing to guide him. We were provided a basket of breadsticks, sourdough, and focaccia. The latter was good, but the sourdough was stale. When my spouse asked if she could have a bit more focaccia, she was told they were "out" (this at 630 pm in a city that "never sleeps)." The provided olive oil for dipping was bitter, and there weren't enough bottles for the tables (waiters were constantly asking if they could take ours away). I ordered fusilli alla putanesca; what I was served was fettuccine! The noodles lacked any remnants of "al dente" status. One would think a "fine dining" Italian restaurant would at least know its species of dried semolina and how to prepare it! Beyond that, the red sauce was so undistinguished that it could easily have been sourced from a jar on isle 10 at Whole Foods. In the past two weeks we've had better (MUCH better) dishes at strip mall family restaurants in LV ((Roma and North Italia). My wife ordered a small dinner salad, for which we were charged $20, for something inferior to what we assemble from our refrigerator each night at home. The restaurant didn't waste any of its financial resources on printing its menus. I dined at Cipriani with a group and had a lovely experience from start to finish. The room has elegant decor and great energy. The staff is attentive and keeps the table tidy. We were at the Wynn and wanted to have lunch because we were starving. We hadn't made a reservation but luckily we were able to get seated. It was so tasty the food was great. We ordered the margarita pizza and it was so fresh, tasty, and light. We also ordered the carpaccio, cucumber salad, the gnocchi with vodka sauce and the ham pasta. The gnocchi was super soft and you could tell the pasta is fresh. The ham pasta was good but it's very cheesy so if you don't really like strong cheese like Parmesan I don't recommend. The salad was fresh citrusy and refreshing. I would come back next time I stay at the Wynn. read more
