These folks are serious about steak, says their menu and marketing materials - but are they really? Well - they are serious in terms of offering a great place for a meal that is conveniently located in Wadsworth, on the interstate corridor, adjacent to hotels and shopping and easy to get in/out. They are also serious in terms of a menu that offers flavorful choices and selections to accompany the steak of your choice along with appropriately friendly folks to wait on customers and make sure folks feel welcome while eating there. The steaks - yes, they're good too - but the other factors are a big deal to me when traveling like I am when I'm here. The steak is good and the the food hits the spot - is it a Ruth's Chris - that it is not - but this ain't Cleveland either! Nor any of those other populous spots where Ruth's Chris plants their carnivore loving establishments! Did I mention it's a chill and comfortable place that is clean and inviting. The Circle L Steakhouse which is part of the Galaxy restaurant in Wadsworth used to be a high end dining experience with top grade food. Well those days are long gone. The wife and I had dinner there over the weekend and were very disappointed. First off the whole restaurant and complex is in need of a make over as the decor is very gaudy and aging. The stains on the bathroom wallpaper in the men's bathroom in the main lobby are a beyond offensive and in needs to be replaced. I ordered the bone in ribeye which obviously was the most expensive cut on their menu. It was by far the worst steak I've ever had. Extremely tough and hard to chew. Had to actually spit out a piece of steak from the middle of the ribeye that was just too tough to chew. The amount of salt they put on this steak made my ears ring. I did not send it back as the wife begged me not to make a scene. For $65 dollars a steak that is a complete ripoff! $210 all together and left feeling completely robbed. Won't ever be going back to the Circle L Steakhouse. Upgrade the decore. Wash down your bathroom walls. Stop serving $10 steaks for $65. Every restaurant has a lifespan and I think this place is at the end of its. Very dissatisfied. Better options around to spend that amount of money. read more

Underwhelmed. Service was good. Wine was good. $31 prime rib. ‍. This is supposed to be the star of the show. It was the largest piece they had. Ordered med rare. Mine came out med To med well. Friend ordered same thing - his came out rare. We had to trade. I didn't say anything because I was so hungry. This is to say nothing of the "side" of mashed potatoes. It was the size of 1 regular spoonful. The table got an appetizer to share. It was pretty good. Ribs were star of that plate. Overall I think 3.5 would be my rating. The prime rib needs to be the star and here it was the undercard. read more

Thanks for a great thanksgiving experience....NOT Upon arriving and being seated our server got us water and a beverage, got us the salad and rolls and disappeared. Exactly 30 minutes later he re-appeared to inform us they were having problems with the roast beef portion of the family style and it would be a bit longer but asked if we wanted the rest of the meal then or when it was completed, we asked that it come out at one time.... jump forward another 15 minutes, now 45 minutes in to our thanksgiving dinner when everything finally arrived, the roast beef was fresh however everything else was dried out, luke warm to cold and obviously had been sitting out for some time....how does that happen? No excusefor this when nothing being made to order. Unsurprisingly we left, it might have been nice if our server would have stopped by the table to refill water or beverages during that 45 minutes..... I've been looking forward to coming to the Galaxy for a long time......what a waste of time. Oh and by the way, the frozen pizza rolls and potato chips I had for thanksgiving dinner were wonderful!!! read more

This place is fantastic!! I have found a hidden gem. The Circle L steakhouse is a part of the Galaxy in Wadsworth. The Galaxy includes a wine room (I'll be back to do a review there), a sports bar, banquet center and the Circle L). I went with a group which is always a great way to try a new place. So, started with drinks. Since they have a wine bar and knew we would have wine with dinner i decided to look at the beer menu tonight. I was happy to find a very nice craft beer list with a option for a beer flight. Seeing at least two that a friend recommended i decided to do a flight. Thumbs up. Great way to start the night. Next we were a nice size party, so we ordered a few sampler platters as appetizers. The platter consisted of (BBQ baby back pork ribs, grilled beef teriyaki skewers,Thai calamari and Tempura shrimp). I don't think anything was left behind. Entrees- Our waitress did an excellent job telling us about the Circle L cattle ranch just down tbe road that when she mentioned one of the nights special was a 32oz Bone In Ribeye from Cicle L about half the table ordered it- me included. This was the most tender and flavorable steak i had in ages. You could cut it with a butter knife - AMAZING!. A few people also got the Chicken Picatta and raved about it as well. One additonal note was our waitress. She served our table of 14 by herself and did an amazing job. So, when your in the Wadswortb area stop by and try and and it is worth the drive even if you are not. read more

Nice interior, friendly staff. Like most restaurants they are having staffing problems. However they bill themselves as a high end steak house. We dined there tonight and can look past slow service. It's everywhere. Our waiter was hustling. They had a good wine list and my wife's salad with chicken was great. The problem was my supposed prime, dry aged strip. First one was medium when i ordered rare. 2nd one came out about 20 min later. Cooked to temp but so tough. Really one of the worst steaks i have ever had. I asked my wife to try and she spit it out. Something i would expect from a $12 steak not a $44 one. Not close to a longhorn, much less a Redd or even a Ruth's Chris.. We went for their Sunday Brunch. They have a terrific variety of both breakfast and dinner options including a waffle station, omelet bar & a prime rib carving station. Our server, Sally was very attentive and got us everything we asked for in a very timely manner. Overall, the food okay. Unfortunately the prime rib (which was one of my main reasons for choosing this restaurant) was cold almost immediately after it was served. There didn't seem to be any signature dishes or desserts. While the decor was nice it wasn't enough to compensate for average buffet/wedding catered type meal. At $20/head I expected a little better quality food - or at the minimum, hot prime rib. I wouldn't say DON'T go, just limit your expectations. read more

If you ever find yourself in Wadsworth Ohio, this gem is amazing! I got a maple burger - a half lb burger with maple bacon, apple chutney and Sriracha maple aoli and sweet potato fries with a marshmallow sauce (seriously addicting). I was a little skeptical of apple on my burger,, but the taste combo was a-friggin-mazing. Service was on point! Side note their ceiling is made to look like a starry sky! We just had the pork chop dinner and it was overcooked and had a lot of gristle. We also had the London Broil and it was SO overcooked. My broccoli was hard as a rock. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were seasoned with half a jar of generic garlic powder. The ambiance is beautiful. The food was below standard. Very disappointed considering the beautiful setting I was expecting great food. read more

Our family of 11 adults went for a graduation celebration dinner this evening and it was perfect! Everyone's dish was delicious, the atmosphere was quiet, and easy for us to visit with each other and the service was spectacular.
