Heard about this place for awhile. This review is written after my second visit. Service was awesome very attentive, prompt and friendly. The restaurant is small and always full but both time we got seat pretty quickly. Food is delicious, both visits I ordered their tomato soup and Oh my gosh it's amazing. Hot, creamy and chunks of tomato in it. My first visit I also shared a patty melt with a friend and my husband ordered the steak sandwich. All the food was comfort food at its best. On my second trip the the special was soup with fry bread so that was what we all ordered. Holy moly the fried bread was as big as a bear paw st least 4" around and a couple inches thick. Wowza it was massive but a great accompaniment with the soup. Probably one of my favorite place to eat now in Kalispell!! read more

My son and I had lunch here. We had less than 5 minute wait for a table. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was open and clean. Lot of people yet not too noisy. I ordered the turkey club and my son ordered the American breakfast. The portion sizes were large. I had too much deli turkey on my sandwich. I saw that they have prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays so decided to try it. While the decor is lacking the prime rib I received was a generous portion and very tasty for a very attractive price. The servers were very efficient and friendly and checked on me several times. Like me, a lot of gray haired seniors but a few families as well. We had a group of eight stop in here after a long weekend in Glacier National Park. We tried a few spots before Cislos with no luck but they were able to sit us right away (we got pretty lucky). The service was stellar. We each got a coffee and I don't think any of us ever had less than half of our cup full at any given time. With eight of us, we had a pretty large order. Some of us needed brought back from the brink of a deathly hangover and the food here did just that. Everything tasted fresh, came out of the kitchen hot, and left us filled for the rest of the day. If I am ever lucky enough to be close to Cislos' again, I will be stopping in. Great experience from sit down to checking out. read more

Lucky Stop on a road trip! While driving we challenged our Navigator to find us a spot to eat on our way through Kalispell. He found Cislos and we decided to stop. We ordered take out and while we waited we watched a steady stream of locals go in and eat (usually a good sign). When the hostess brought us our to go order, we asked for plastic silverware (already in there), condiments, (already in there), sweetener for the tea (we are from the south after all; already in there). This is our new favorite restaurant. The place was packed on a Friday night, but we got a table right away. Don't expect beautiful ambiance- but if you are after EXTREMELY great service, amazing food and decent prices, this is the place for you. The table tops are fun too and provided a fun diversion for my four boys while waiting for the food. Pickle fries were great, clam chowder was delicious and the fries were perfect. The bacon avocado sandwich was huge and filling and yummy. Every thing we got tasted great. Pies were locally made and large slices. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant at all. read more

Fast service, great food and friendly staff. The Salmon special was cooked to taste and the salad was more than ample. We came towards the end of the dinner hour and although the place was full, we were still able to get seating quickly. Clean and well bussed tables. My last day at Kalispell and I'm grateful that we found this place. We had such an amazing experience during the days in Montana that it couldn't end any better. The restaurant is cozy, the servers are super nice, hospitable, good to be around. They sat us right away, brought coffee and water super fast, the lady taking the orders was amazingly hospitable with everyone at the table. All the 7 dishes we ordered tasted delicious! We order chocolate chip pancakes, eggs Benedict, biscuit and gravy, corn-beef plate and burrito breakfast, regular pancakes and eggs, hash browns and bacon. I just took a picture of my eggs Benedict, but everyone loved their food. Really good spot, good food, awesome service. Anytime I'm in Montana I will make sure I stop by it. read more

We ate here with our family before heading back home to Indiana. We had a large group and they were quick to put together seating. The service was amazing. The food was "typical" diner breakfast options but delicious. Never ending coffee. I will say that everything seemed pretty tight/cramped given the Covid situation but at no time did I feel uncomfortable about our distance from others. Great place to stop on the way to the airport! This was really a treat. We went on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, arriving around 9 AM. There were at least 6 or 7 groups ahead of us patiently waiting for their tables, so I knew right away the place was a local's favorite. The wait was surprisingly short, maybe 15 or 20 minutes, and once inside I could see why. The place was bustling. The patrons and staff were wonderfully polite and respectful and friendly. There were many young families and an equal number of older couples and quite a few groups of younger couples as well. Obviously, this place is enjoyed by a very diverse group of people, and clearly, the bulk of whom were regulars. We were promptly seated, asked if we wanted coffee and in no time, it appeared. There were four or five wait staff circulating about, taking orders, bringing coffee, setting carafes of ice cold water, filling orders, etc. It was the best choreographed mayhem I've seen in a long time. I could see into the kitchen and there were four or five short order cooks who seemed to be constantly smiling despite being inundated with orders. Clearly, everyone on staff was fully invested in making the customer's experience the best it could be. My wife and I both ordered the corn beef hash and egg and a biscuit. The restaurant even has an "over 50" menu for those with smaller appetites (us), for roughly $5 less than the big boy breakfast. All around people were piling in their pretty enormous portions of pancakes and omelets and such, and just really relaxed and engaged with each other. The wait staff seemed always at the ready with more coffee and water, I hadn't been treated this well since a very fancy brunch at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona some 10 or so years ago. Our plates arrived and contained the largest biscuit I've ever seen, could have been used as a nice fluffy pillow. The hash was delicious. The egg and hash browns perfect and the pillow, er biscuit, was large enough to split into a nice half for then, and a nice half for the next day's coffee and ... A major plus for biscuit lovers was a small container, complete with lid, of beautifully soft and spreadable butter (which accompanied my to go half of biscuit home). The hub bub of the restaurant, the friendly and professional staff, the food and the pricing (including the AARP menu options) made this an unforgettable Sunday breakfast. BTW, the restaurant was closed the next day, Labor Day, with all of the staff receiving a paid holiday. That's the way to run a family business, treat your patrons and staff as family. read more

Every time we go there (and we are there frequently!), the servers are consistently friendly, efficient, and seem to truly be enjoying their work. The food is always good, and the atmosphere is like having your meal with a large family: Everybody knows everybody, and that makes for a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. What I like the most about Cislo's is that it's a local diner that has been in the same spot, well...forever! It is frequented by locals and has a local vibe. Lots of old timers and regulars. The food is ok. It's your typical 'old diner' menu. Their breakfast is good. They still serve meatloaf, grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken fried steak, and liver and onions! All comfort food. The waitresses are great and the whole staff are happy and always smiling. So friendly and 'Johnny on the spot'. Your order appears quickly. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and prime rib on Friday nights, which is good at a reasonable price. The inside was recently renovated and has brightened up the place. They did a nice job! The parking lot is always full when I drive by and it gives me a sense of comfort and neighborliness just to see it still there after all these years. read more

Wow a great place for a homemade breakfast. I had a taco omelette that was awesome. Now I know what to do with left over taco meat from dinner the night before. The biscuits where Hugh!!
