We have traveled the east coast trying different FroYo's along the way. We feel like this is one of the best ones! The yogurt is creamy and the flavors are diverse. They have over 50 toppings, including fresh cut fruit. They also have some experimental toppings like homemade marshmallows (who knew you could make them at home), along with 4 mason jars of other toppings like peppermint. They also have bubble tea and hot chocolate. You can get the bubble tea as a smoothie. (I must confess, I still am not sure what bubble tea is...but they have it...and people seem to like it.) For their hot chocolate, they have 3 types of marshmallow topping...regular, toasted and scorched. The ambiance is very clean and peaceful. They charge $.45 per ounce. Don't forget to get a punch card. After 8 yogurts, you get one free (up to $6). Citizen Yogurt is not a chain/franchise. If you have to choose, please choose to shop locally.

Just tried Citizen Yogurt for the first time, and I was super impressed! I've been to at least seven or eight different frozen yogurt chains, and this is easily one of the best. This is definitely not your average, run-of-the-mill yogurt shop! The favors are fresh and unique-the apple pie, cappuccino and pomegranate raspberry were some of my favorites, but their simple vanilla and original tart are equally awesome. And the topping selection is insane! So many choices you don't see anywhere else-like pop tart pieces, pistachios and tons of fresh fruit. Also, don't miss out on the experimental toppings, which are great! The store itself is clean and modern, which is refreshing compared to some of the cheesy too-bright colors you see decorating other yogurt places. Overall I loved it and can't wait to go back!

More toppings than any other yogurt shop...legit.

Not too much to say about Citizen Yogurt. Great flavors, extensive and unique topping selection, and family friendly (including dogs!) environment. Best place in the Triangle to enjoy some froyo with friends and you'll try some new and exotic flavors at the same time. Yogurt is spot on, flavors taste as they should and don't have that residual "chemical" taste that many froyo shops seem to have. Overall, this is a great place and one I will definitely recommend to my friends.

Satisfied my fro-yo cravings at Citizen Yogurt!

Just had a wonderful experience at Citizen Yogurt! This place has crazy delicious yogurt and sorbet (I had the thin mint yogurt and pomegranate raspberry sorbet), tons of tasty toppings, AND great customer service with a peaceful atmosphere. The ambiance is classy, but homey-- a very different feel than the neon colored, bright fro-yo shops I've been to. There are nice benches to sit on with comfy pillows and the lighting and decor add to the relaxing experience. The woman helping us was very friendly and welcoming as well. Overall, the peaceful atmosphere combined with the huge selection of yogurts and toppings earn this place 5+ stars. I'm definitely recommending it to friends! This is a high quality local business that deserves support! :)

Beautiful yogurt shop with the best assortment of toppings EVER! (I only wish the almonds were toasted). I go to Citizens most every day. Addict.

Although the space is tiny, the desserts and cocktails more than make up for the line out front, and the noisy nature of downtown locations! There were 4 of us and we enjoyed the strawberry pretzel pie, derby pie, ice cream, coffee, and old fashioned. First of all, AMAZING cocktails- and an epic list of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches. They've also got some custom beverages that you cannot find else. Super thumbs up for originality of cocktails, creative menu presentation, and speed of service! The derby pie was good- but I like mine with a denser filling. My friend enjoyed her strawberry pretzel pie, and the fact that not many places offer this on their menu. But, she said it was not as good as homemade. The gents in our party RAVED about how great Bittersweet's old fashioned drinks were! They said that these were definitely in the top three beverages they had ever had! This hole in the wall had a bridal party, some goth appearing folks, and suits too. In short, no matter what you like to drink, what you enjoy eating for dessert, you will find it here!

She has such a wonderful personality and knows her ice cream. I was one of the first to enjoy her Gluten free Coffee ice cream with chopped up chocolate-covered espresso beans throughout. Then George took the cup of this delicious ice cream and torched it for a brulee finish. Amazing, indescribable, and I will be back for more soon kind of flavors! I have since checked out her flavor options and kick myself for not visiting her shop soon over at Iron Works. It is so close to where we live in downtown Raleigh. No more excuses. We are heading there this weekend for a Valentine's Day treat of one of her many boutique flavors. Plus I love that Andia truly cares about the Gluten Free population and offers so many wonderful-sounding flavors for them.

We decided to get ice cream in waffle cone since we couldn't get the milkshakes. I got the Cookies N Cream in a waffle cone My wife got the Cotton Candy in a waffle cone. The cookies N Cream was good but, the waffle cone was not. The waffle cones are the "softer" ones, i was expecting the classic crunchy waffle cone. I just ate the ice cream with a spoon out of the cone. The cotton candy was not good. It tasted like sugar free ice cream. Same thing with the waffle cone as I previously wrote. The service was great! The ambiance was nice. Not sure if we would go back, our favorite ice cream shop is in Durham and I would prefer to drive 30Min to that place. I would rate Andia's ice cream shop 5th in the Raleigh/Durham area for ice cream. *I would say give it a try I may love it.
