We arrived about 20 minutes before closing, and they were already shutting everything down and basically closed, which was frustrating since the posted hours said otherwise. On top of that, we spent over $50 for just three frozen yogurts with no toppings, which felt insanely overpriced for the quality. The yogurt itself honestly wasn't good. One of them was so frozen it was difficult to eat, and the flavors didn't taste accurate at all. The vanilla tasted more tart than vanilla, and the strawberry was sweet but didn't really taste like actual strawberry flavor. Came here with my mom and i was very excited! We served ourselves and they had many flavors to choose from. I of course mixed a few of them and they had a variety of toppings. Has a decent topping selection it's all self serve. Was pretty bare bones services wise. Think there was 7-10flavors didn't think to count. Updating my review since it has been a while. We continue to recommend Yopop to others. This frozen yogurt shop is not as modern/updated as similar places in the area. However, it is still serve your own toppings. On one hand this is nice since you can control how much of each topping you want. On the other hand it is less sanitary and increases the chance of cross contamination. Plus, it offers unique frozen yogurt flavors (like taro) and toppings (like mochi). The tarwas running out and one of the toppings was missing a spoon. The employees are friendly and they immediately fixed the taro and got an extra scoop. Prices are about the same as other self serve frozen yogurt establishments. These places are on the pricier end, but okay for the occasional treat. I highly recommend the coconut fro yo and I like that they offer dairy free options. Overall, we continue to have positive experiences here and recommend it to others! read more

Super artificial Asian frozen yogurt. Pretty expensive too, for two people with average sized portions, it ran me $15+. Self serve frozen yogurt with unfriendly service, didn't think the cashier said a word the entire time, just weighed it and rang it up. All the chairs and tables stacked up to the side because they don't want anyone to eat the yogurt in their store so we had to take it to our car to eat. Fairly confident this isn't real frozen yogurt because there are no signs about live and active cultures, and most of the flavors are vegan or dairy free meaning no real yogurt. The original is just plain, not the tart taste you expect from real frozen yogurt. Strawberry didn't taste like real strawberries, it had that fake artificial taste, probably flavored from powder imported from China. Pineapple was ok, tasted similar to Dole Whip, was a sweet dairy free flavor. Two stars instead of one because at least the payment system didn't ask me to tip. Fantastic frozen yogurt with the usual toppings you'll find in self-serve froyo shops. My tastes lean towards more tart & less sweet, and this goes down as one of my top froyo places to visit in terms of personal taste (I've been to the whole shebang: Local Yogurt, The Skinny Dip, Marmalade Skies, and Tutti Fruitti, which is also a top favorite) . Most of the fruit flavors are not fake-y tasting or oversweet, and taste natural. I prefer Tutti Fruitti's original tart flavor, but Yopop seems to do its fruit flavors better. Definitely give it a try, since the lovely thing about having so many different froyo places in the Triangle is that you'll eventually find one that fits your taste best. Decided to drop in for some frozen yogurt. I've passed through here through the years. It's very clean and bright. You have about 14-15 flavors to choose from. This place appears to be very well maintained and honestly, I would probably love this place if I wasn't so particular. This place is great! They have a huge variety of different yogurt flavours and a lot of fresh fruit toppings. Not CANNED fruit toppings. They also have those fruity juice balls (heh). I am not a huge fan of their original tart because I don't feel like it was "tart" enough. They do have taro, which is a huge plus. I like Yopop. Don't get me wrong. I'm starting to sense a theme here though. The whole "do it yourself" froyo thing is fun and cool and everything, but I wish there was something that set Yopop apart. From the bubbly font of their logo, to the mod colorful decor, to the fresh fruit/syrups/candy topping bar, to the pricing, to the flavors on offer (I did like that they had taro but everything else on offer was just so standard- "chocolate, vanilla, coffee, tart, red velvet"? Way to go all out on the creativity guys- /sarcasm!) it's just so generic. There's absolutely nothing to set it apart from Pink or Tutti Frutti or Marmalade except that their yogurt is, for lack of a better word, light. I know frozen yogurt is not ice cream, but it should have a certain weight, and a certain creaminess. I have to agree with Mimi, this tasted almost water-based, almost sorbet-ish. It was also not as heavy on the "frozen" aspect as I'd have liked- I think the machines were nearly empty or something, because the yogurt was slow coming out and only semi-solid. It melted very quickly. I do like the small triangle of grass off the patio that provides a nice play area for kids and the outdoor seating, and if I'm in the area, I may give them another go. For now I just can't justify a rating above 3 stars. I'm starting to think this froyo trend that's causing all these shops to pop up all over town needs to stop. Great selection of toppings from the normal of fresh fruit, candies, to the more exotic like rice balls, fruit gummy balls. It's been awhile since I had some froyo. The first thing I noticed was how clean and neat the toppings and fixings bar was. What I don't like is being handed sample cups. I never over do it with samples because I never like all the flavors. Plus I always have the intention of getting something. If there is a 3 sample minimum..then leave the cups out.. I was in Crossroads shopping over the weekend so had to stop in and try Yopop. I love how bright and cheery it is, it just seems so clean. They also had quite a few options in yogurt flavors. I went for the mango, pomegranate and had to try a little of the red velvet cake. I was so excited to see fresh kiwi as one of the toppings too. I went with my usual all fruit toppings - kiwi, blackberry, mango and raspberry. The yogurts and of course the toppings were all tasty. The red velvet mainly just tasted like chocolate to me, I don't think I need to have the one again.
