Came here for dinner. You can make reservations on resy. They also have a free parking lot in front. The space was well decorated and modern. I ordered the chicken Parmesan which came with an arugula salad and fries which I thought was a strange combination in addition to a pesto sauce on top of the chicken. Overall I thought my dish isn't your traditional chicken Parmesan. My biggest peeve was that there was so much olive oil on my plate either from the pesto sauce or most likely the salad. So much so that my plate was covered in olive oil. To make matters worse as I was packing up my leftovers to go I spilled some of the olive oil liquid onto my jeans. My boyfriend ordered the chicken cutlet which had a side of Caesar salad. However they placed it on top of his meal which made it very awkward to eat. Overall the food tasted fine and was a large sized portion. read more

This place takes reservations, but I was able to walk in Saturday morning and got seated right away. The place is really cute and there was plenty of parking in the lot. I got the cast iron chorizo baked eggs and they were fine. They came in a cute little pot with bread to dip in. Don't sleep on the nitro salted caramel latte. It was delicious! Lots of options on the menu so will definitely need to come back and try more. read more

Citizen All Dayi is an Austin Gem. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place after I saw it on yelp as a place that was close to me. We had never heard of it of course and we were very impressed with the ambience, food, drinks and especially the service. I tried to make lunch reservations but they were booked at the time that we decided to go, yet we went anyway. When we arrived the wait was more than 30 minutes as we expected. It's a quaint place with an amazing vibe. They play great music and the service staff is upbeat also. There were two available seats at the bar and we decided to sit there while we waited. We ordered drinks from a bar server that comes around to take orders from people sitting at the bar. They do have bartenders that are amazing I might add. I can't recall any names and I do apologize for that. We went on last Saturday and here it is Thursday that I'm leaving this so I will just reiterate that everyone that we encounter as a wait staff and bartenders went above and beyond by taking care of our every need. We ordered wings, a mocktail, and I got another beverage. Everything that we had was perfect. One of the male bartenders told us about Martini specials that they have everyday for happy hour and the first one is 99 cents. I've never heard of such a thing. We got one of those also. Then finally our table was ready and we got another amazing server that explained a lot more to us about the menu. We then ordered a salad to share along with two entrees. The bar server gave me two free appetizers coupons and I used one for the salad. The food was great and we enjoyed the vibe and the staff as well. This says a lot about the management also who thanked us as we left. We will definitely return and highly recommend Citizen All Day any day of the week. Immediately we were enamored with the interior design of the restaurant, with quirky space wall paper and thoughtfully planned furniture. The servers were friendly enough. The blueberry pancakes were so fluffy and easily devoured. What I ordered originally wasn't available so I went with a breakfast sandwich that came with arugula salad. It was all delicious. read more

We went on a Saturday about 1;15 and it was hoppin busy~ we did get seated in about 15 minutes, inside so worked out fine. My daughter ordered the Greek salad & a Michalada (beer & tomato juice) her salad wasn't really a salad as it had NO lettace...., lots & lots of cucumbers, Greek black olives, chicken, onions , feta etc. quite large however all the veggies were different sizes as an example the cucumbers were served skin on & cut 1/4 discs sooo kinda odd cutting these into bite size pieces. The flavors were all there in plenty of dressing just more time prepping would have made this a more pleasant dining experience ~ the Michalada was very good served with Modelo beer My order was the Avo Smash on a chive biscuit, (which was undercooked doughy in the middle) scrambled eggs, avocado served on a plate with beet hummus schmere. I am not a beet fan asked for it to be omitted the server mentioned it as a light pain on the plate~ it was beautifully presented but I should have stayed with my first thought to omit~ it wasn't a complimentary flavor imo. Lots of avo choices when I return ( and I will) I will order the Avo smash on 9 grain bread . Come with greens or hash browns somehow I got both ‍. My drink order was the " Fluffy " pineapple margarita" also quite nice, maybe a bit sweet (also a bit spicy as it had a slice of red pepper in it) but that didn't bother me either. We did share a side order of fries (chips if you're Down Under) and these are served with chicken salt & yuzu aioli =EXCELLENTLY prepared Some hits & misses on this visit, but we'll be back for sure read more

The pancakes were very thick and somewhat fluffy the blueberry compote and maple syrup made the combination great. I did realize half way through that it was entirely too much food and these are enough to split amongst three people! The pancakes seemed a little too dense and not as airy/ fluffy as I would have assumed but it was a nice time to try them. The service was excellent the staff cleaned up and placed orders and brought food out promptly. The restaurant had a nice diner like scene kept clean. Music was great and plenty of seating inside and outside with covered areas. read more

Stopped In randomly while visiting Texas. I'm still thinking about how good my / our meals were. From the way it was handled, ingredients and all were handled perfectly. what a fun experience! sat out on the patio during happy hour and it was the perfect vibe--beautiful weather, great atmosphere, and the best way to unwind. shared some light bites with friends which were delicious, but the real highlight... 99¢ espresso martinis (!!). insane in the best way--so good and such a steal. definitely would come back for happy hour. read more

This place has a really nice vibe that gives diner but more groovy and natural and modern. I love breakfast all day so I was excited to see what the Australians had to offer! I had a green goddess shakshuka which was presented beautifully but lacking in flavor and didn't quite feel worth the price. I didn't really feel full after eating it either. My husband had the banana bread French toast, which was really tasty and definitely one of the highlights on the menu. My sister-in-law had the eggs Benedict, which she liked, but felt that the biscuit that is supposed supposedly housemade fell a little flat. We liked the blue lavender Matcha, go a little sweet for my taste. I would likely come back again and try something different. Just because I really liked the vibe, but I wouldn't get the shakshuka again. At the end of your meal, you also put a coin in to some selected charities that they have out front that they will donate some money too, which is a nice gesture. read more

After shopping at Central market with a buddy, I treated him to breakfast at the new Citizens All Day on Burnet. It's pretty new and attractively decorated inside. Originally from Australia, this is the first one in Austin. Not sure how many there are in the United States. Service was prompt, although the coffee took an awful a long time. I ordered the Pastrami Benny which is smoked pastrami, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, on cheddar biscuits.. The smoked pastrami was very difficult to cut and chew. Not a great combination for me. The coffee was excellent, however a refill took forever. Give it a try and see what you think. read more

What a cute brunch spot! They sat us right away on a Sunday without a reservation around 9:30. The service was great!! The fluffy juice is a must(think orange julius). We got the blueberry pancakes to share which were very thick but delicious! I got the chorizo and egg bake with beans, it was just okay. But the French toast and Benedict I tried of my friends was fabulous. Overall great addition to the Austin breakfast scene. read more

Overpriced dinner. I felt that I was paying for ambiance. Maybe I picked the wrong thing. Had the harissa salad but replaced chicken with shrimp. The shrimps were the shitty little frozen that had just been steamed with no flavor, not the usual kind you'd expect on a saladx The flavor profile was not my fave - too spicy. It looked pretty but I basically powered thru eating it since I didn't want it to go to waste but didn't want to finish it. The juice was fine. Not sure why it need to be called fuzzy. I would not come back and would definitely never wait in a long line for this place. Maybe ppl like it for boozy Instagram brunch and sweet pancakes? No one else there seemed to be enjoying their time. It seemed like couples and families in the neighborhood who didn't care it was overpriced who were there, or ppl like me who it was there first time. The waitstaff was not engaged but not bad. The kitchen messed up my order the first time. Weird vibes. Maybe just not for me ? I don't get what people see in this place. read more

I will start off saying that the ambiance is 10/10 and the espresso martinis are some of the best I've had. Downside: while the variety on the menu is initially appealing, the food is lackluster. In Austin's incredibly strong and diverse food scene, people have access to so many diverse and authentic options that this spot may have a hard time standing out. read more

This is 2.5 stars for average ... We had a reservation, but they won't seat you until ALL of your party has arrived (which means if 1 person in your party is stuck in traffic, you get to watch all the other people coming in after you get seated before you, then you wait until the next available table after all of your party has arrived). It's a little aggravating when 3 of the 4 in the party have arrived yet they won't seat you. Food ... out of 4 of us, 2 had dishes that were decent but the other 2 in our group had dishes that were mediocre at best. I had the Rueben which was not very tasty - it had very little meat, the rye bread did not hold together & the slaw seemed oil-based (not mayo based) - slaw shouldn't be oil based esp. if used for a Rueben which is generally made with sauerkraut. We also tried the biscuit flight which sounded good, but the biscuit was super dry or stale - not sure which. Drinks ... they were out of 1 smoothies we ordered, but the smoothies we were able to get were very tasty. Service ... to the table was decent. However, I witnessed one employee leave the restroom without washing his hands (the sinks are outside of the restrooms - note there are only 2 restrooms for staff & customersto use, so there was a line) & another employee, who was using gloves as she delivered food orders, help to clean up food from a plate that had dropped on the floor & then proceed to deliver other food orders with the same gloves on. I doubt we'll go back to this (Burnet Rd) location again. read more

Their menu is a hot mess and misnomered. I ordered the pulled pork gluten free sandwich but they've since removed it from their menu and haven't updated the menus hanging at the cashier. I ordered a gluten free smoked turkey sandwich to go, and the bartender gave me a hot honey turkey sandwich instead. I tried calling and no one picked up. I think the smoked turkey sandwich has since been renamed to turkey pesto sandwich but they haven't updated their menus. There definitely wasn't any pesto in my sandwich, just a spicy red spread. Plus there was provolone in my sandwich, and the turkey pesto didn't list any cheese in its ingredients. I don't know why the pictures have a side of potato chips with their sandwich. My sandwich didn't come with any potato chips. No one offered me a glass of water while I waited fifteen minutes with a baby. I'm not sure why I tipped 15% for lousy service. read more

I loved the food we got at Citizens All Day! The steak frites special was a great price and cooked fabulously. The steak was topped with a generous amount herb butter and the fries were crispy and plenty salty and went really well with the aioli. I really liked the ginger beer too - it was half lemonade and super unique. Lastly, the tiramisu was amazing with mascarpone filling and topped with pistachios which added a nice crunch. Staff was nice and the restaurant was really cute with a deli area and goods you can buy! read more

Enjoyed hearty and tasty breakfast with coffee. Amazing friendly service. The downside is potentially long wait to get a table, and a bit of a challenge to find parking in the free lot. The Cosmic Saltillo location is our go-to because it's walking distance from our home. This original location is amazing. Love the both so much. I like that there are food truck onsite, lots and lots of outdoor seating, koi pond, chickens, certified green spaces, and so much more. It's like being at the greatest campground ever. My first drink, a traditional coffee drink called Jubani ($6) contained coffee but was watery like a tea. It had also ginger and cinnamon. I was not expecting it to be like a tea. I immediately told the cashier I didn't like the drink and would like just an Americano, double shot espresso. I was charged $9 for a 12 oz cup. No cream or sugar, no added flavorings. If I were in charge I wouldn't have charged for this second drink, since it comes at almost zero cost to them and would show good faith and ensure repeat business. Disappointingly, the Americano was also watery and sort of "lemony", but I still drank half while sitting with my friend. I'll say that my friend had some sort of an iced latte that she enjoyed. I might try a second visit and order a Turkish coffee, but I will make sure to have had a full meal before.

We had a reservation at 8 am right when they opened, and when we walked in, we were seated immediately. The place looks like a modern twist on the old-school diners your grandparents love. There's also an upstairs and downstairs patio. Plenty of space! We were sat at one of the two-person tables. To start, I ordered their house drip coffee while my girlfriend got their "Lil Remi," an iced cappuccino with salted caramel. The black coffee was excellent and flavorful, while my girlfriend thought her Lil Remi was like a milkier shaken espresso that she really liked. From their starters, we ordered their Blueberry Lemon Pop Tart to share. I am a sucker for a homemade Pop Tart, and the jam on the inside was extremely fresh, and the icing and crust of the Pop Tart itself was sturdy and full of flavor. For being an upscale diner in the prime area of Austin, I knew Paperboy was going to be pricey, but I honestly thought that it would crack $100 before tip between the two of us. I was very happy to see it was not even close to that and cost us about $80 with tip. To me, that felt fair for Austin, and I would pay that price any day of the week for a breakfast like we had. I had mixed feelings about my recent visit. I made a reservation expecting that it would make the experience smoother, especially when it came to parking. Unfortunately, the parking situation was very limited, and having a reservation didn't seem to make any difference--there simply wasn't enough space for guests. When we checked in, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, though we were seated after 15, which I appreciated. However, once we were seated, the first thing I noticed was how loud the music was. It completely took away from what I hoped would be a relaxing brunch. My husband and I had to practically raise our voices just to have a conversation, which made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. The food and coffee was really good, which is why this experience felt so frustrating. There's clearly potential here, but the environment made it difficult to fully enjoy it. Service was also a bit confusing. We had multiple servers throughout the meal and weren't sure who was actually assigned to our table. At the end, a different server came by to handle the payment, which caught us off guard. We even had to ask whether the tip would go to our original server--it all felt a bit disorganized. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the loud music, limited parking, and inconsistent service made it hard to have a pleasant dining experience. If this is the kind of atmosphere they aim to provide, it would be helpful to give customers a heads-up beforehand so expectations are set. I dont think I'd go back. I visited Citizens All Day today and had a disappointing experience with both the service and the food. As a solo diner, I was seated at the bar, where the bartender served water to three other parties but didn't even greet me. I had to ask for water only after I had already placed my order. It felt dismissive -- whether because I was dining alone or the only Asian guest, I can't say, but it left a very poor impression. I ordered the avocado toast with an extra poached egg, assuming it was a safe choice. Unfortunately, the sourdough was just average, the dish overall felt unbalanced, and the poached egg was inedible -- it tasted so sour, as if it had been cooked in vinegar. For a $30 brunch, the experience was underwhelming at best. With so many better options nearby, I would not return or recommend this place. read more

It came with what looked like half a slice of toast and one tiny egg for around $18. I asked for an extra egg, but it never showed up, even after waiting another 20 minutes. Speaking of the wait--service was extremely slow. We waited a long time for both our food and any follow-up. That said, the staff was really friendly and welcoming, which made the experience feel a little less frustrating. This place was a stop as I was leaving Austin and it was worth it. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The pancakes were delicious and the vibe was very welcoming and family friendly. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the staff and they had a amazing attitude towards me and my family. Paper straws and tiny water cups with no ice = automatic deduction of stars. Keep this influencer nonsense out of Austin - we're the butt of enough jokes as it is. Very cute place for brunch, the only reason why it's not 5-stars is because of how many flies there were the entire time. Especially on the display of pastries. I really recommend their nitro lattes with a scoop of ice cream for only a dollar more! Both are from Ukraine (not siblings, despite my being completely convinced they were). Their warmth made eating alone feel like having dinner with friends. Lana's was having an amazing night. Apparently not every restaurant in the area had that same luck tonight. "Somebody burned some food," Anton said. "We need eight fire trucks for that?" Me. "Slow day. Not us--them." Nods to some other restaurant outside the doors. I laughed so hard. Anton also introduced me to the Hugo Spritz. Think somewhere between a mojito and an Aperol Spritz--but lighter, sparkling, and finished with elderflower. Unfortunately, I can't tell you much more than that because I was thirsty. It was fantastic. Clearly. Ten minutes later it had disappeared, and somehow I was ordering a Cosmopolitan. Friends, how did I make it to forty eight years without having a Cosmo? Won't be making that mistake from hence forth and forevermore. As we talked, Anton shared that he fled Ukraine hoping for a freer life. Lana's is a woman-owned business, much of the staff is Ukrainian, and many have over fifteen years of culinary experience throughout Europe. Every dish reflects that level of care. Just a suggestion :) I ordered the tuna tartare which is layered with mashed avocado, mango purée, shallots, capers, chives, parsley, cilantro, a citrus-soy dressing, and finished with extra virgin olive oil. This dish made me irrationally happy. The tuna tartare was incredible: hand-cut sushi-grade Ahi tuna with avocado, mango purée, capers, chives, herbs, and a citrus-soy dressing. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I also learned the "chopsticks" were actually toasted crostini after one snapped in my hand. We both got a good laugh out of that. Every bite somehow gets sweeter, saltier, brighter, and richer at exactly the same time. I didn't even need to reach for the salt. Which if you know me is HUGE. Anton insisted I come back for the traditional Ukrainian borsch, served with all the traditional accompaniments because, as he put it, "It's home." I'll happily take him up on that. Probably next week or the one after. Grandkittens always need to be cat-sat. One tip: don't leave without your receipt. The QR code on it gets you out of the parking garage with three hours of free parking. Ask me how I know. Finally, Lana's reminded me of my daughter Maddie, who lives nearby on South Lamar. Lana would adore her. Then again, most people do. If you can't make it to Lana's, I highly recommend having a daughter like Maddie--just be prepared for a three-year-old to snatch your Barbie and announce, "No, Mommy...that's not what your Barbie says." It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.
