I'm not sure how this company managed to high rate, but my experience was not that good. First, they only schedule appointments for a specific day without informing you of the time, so I had to stay home all day waiting. Second, I've told them several times about ants in my kitchen and bathroom, yet they repeatedly performed outdoor pest control, which was frustrating. Lastly, last year, we paid ~$1500 for Rodent Control, but they failed to catch a single mouse. They claimed to have sealed off all entry points, yet two weeks later, we found fresh mouse droppings in the garage. read more

As a long-term customer of Citra Pest Control, this review is wicked-long overdue! Many years ago, my then local mom-and-pop pest control service was absorbed by Citra Pest Control and I am extremely pleased with the then transition and level of detail/service since. For each service call (every two months), I receive a text message and an email notifying me of the service date and whether any special service is needed. On the service date, the service tech *always* checks in with me in person to review the details of the service call and to remind us to close our windows until about an hour after treatment. During the service calls, I notice the technicians *carefully* moving trash/recycling bins and any other items away from the periphery of the house, wiping off any and all spider webs from underneath soffits/eaves/rain gutters & downspouts as well as brushing down all fences for bugs and webs. Following the service calls, I receive a confirmation of the service call and a request to leave a review. Furthermore and more importantly, we don't see any critters in the form of silverfish, ants, spiders, and the like! The service's attention to detail is extremely noteworthy and all the service techs demonstrate a great respect for property. We have been using Citra Pest Control for years and they have always been consistent with their treatment of our property. We have them come out once every two months and every time, the technician rings the doorbell, asks us if we have any concern areas and then does the treatment. I would recommend this company time and time again. The customer service is unmatched, the exterminators are not only knowledgable but empathetic, and very friendly. I will continue using them for prevention but I will say they're an amazing company. From the day I called in about an issue with springtails in my tub, Tonya was very knowledgable and reassuring. She made she I knew how to manage them before my exterminator was able to come out. She also eased my anxieties and made me feel so much better. First of all, I do have to say we have little communication issues at the beginning, we were little bit frustrated to try to set up appointment and followup appointments by messages or phones. But after talking to Mike and meeting him finally in person, I feel more confident and more happy. Mike contacted me 6am this morning to respond to our emergency request last night for follow up appointment. He showed up on time , early in the morning , explained to our tenants what has been done and what need to be done . Mike and his team already came to the property three times , they will come for another follow up appointment at the end of the week for the cockroaches and rat , and yet, he hasn't even charge me a dime yet . I think that's a sign of trust , in return, He gain my trust. I really appreciate his efforts and hardworking . Scheduling might be hard at the beginning , once we get the communication issue resolved, I think this should be the company I always want to go with. I will come back for more details in the future. My wife and I had great experience with this company in general. Hope our review helps. On 1st DEC 2020 morning, we leave message through yelp asking for the Rodents treatment. Mike replied in 15 minutes with a quote, and he arranged same-day visit in the afternoon. We appreciated for Mike's super prompt help. Our technician is Abraham Rico, we have no issue to give him 5-star review because he is professional, polite, and patient. He has lots of job to be done that day, but he is always patient listening our questions and replied one by one. When he was doing the inspection, he is very careful, and he is always try to avoid his ladder hit anything inside your house. Even after we told him "Please go ahead, we just have basic & cheap IKEA furniture, don't worry we won't blame you if you hit anything", he is still very cautious. He inspected the roof, the attic, the crawl space, and put traps for us. Abraham found out we have 3 broken vents need to be replaced, and 2 needs to be patched. On 7th DEC 2020, I messaged Mike for the quote of the 5 vents. He didn't reply immediately but within an hour somebody in their office responded my request. The price is reasonable so I retained their service. On 8th DEC 2020, Abraham did the second inspection and we caught a rat in our attic. Abraham did the inspection again, check all traps, and he fixed all the 5 vents for us. Well our vents are tricky due to the pipes there, but once again, Abraham is very patient----He will never rush to finish his job and go home. Instead, he spent lots of time replacing our vent and do the patch. He stopped by around 3:30pm, and leave around 6pm. I respect both his professional knowledge and skills, as well as his patience of doing his work. He treat our house like his own house, and he checked all the vents are sealed before he leaved. We still have some trapping visits to be done in the coming weeks. But Abraham and Mike deserve a full-score review. I am not sure why somebody is complaining that they didn't get the response in the former review, but our experience is, if you call/text their office line or use email, there are always somebody to reply your requests within 2 hours. At least they are always responding my messages. I believe our rodent issue will be solved by Citra, and if I have future needs I will call Mike and Abraham again. Their quote is not the lowest but competitive from those I received from yelp, but, most important thing is that their service worth every penny. read more

I live near a levee so critters are common and so are bugs of various kinds. I've been with Citra for about 4 years now and they're always really helpful and take their time with my questions n dramas. Even when booking appointments I never feel rushed or like I'm annoying them which is kind. Today, Alex came and helped me find where a new influx of spiders was coming in!! He cleaned the spider webs so so well, and detailed, he got everything, all the corners, the very high tips of the areas near the roof, and exterior. His job was clean, and detailed, and paid all extra attention to the details. Ab also did a very nice pest control job. All the areas I pointed out to him with ants activities are well handled. I own a 4-plex, multi-family property in San Jose, and it has been always a challenge trying to orchestrate the times all tenants could receive the treatment service at the same time. Tonya worked with both me and my tenants with patience to make sure things are in line with my expectation and they even provided preparation sheet in Spanish because all of my tenants were not English proficient. I had to deal with one specific tenant who wasn't too happy getting the treatment because of the time inconvenience and complained to the company with ridiculous reasons, but the office staff worked with me and accommodated the service despite the issue.
