Monte Cristo Sandwich

We've been to brunch at Citrus a few times and have never been disappointed. Their menu is expansive and truly offers something for everyone. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and delicious. The beignets come with a tasty dip that's always changing - recently we had a peach-raspberry. My husband is a big fan of the count of monte cristo, and I like the lemon blueberry French toast.

I was super excited to do brunch at Citrus for Mother's Day and I'm glad we went on Saturday because I bet it will be packed tomorrow! The weather was gorgeous, so we sat outside. That was beneficial since the kids can be messy too. The food was delicious and they kept the coffee coming. I had the Inca-Mon Bowl recently, but needed to have it again. My husband loved the special omelette with prime rib, and my mom loved her bowl too. We highly recommend for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Maybe one day we'll have room for some of those delicious looking desserts!

We came here for brunch on a Sunday. Our was busy but we were say fairly quickly. We ordered the kids meal first and that came out quickly. Our lunch/ brunch was tardy, fresh and hot! The Dirty waffles and fried chicken was flavorful and crunchy. The Buffalo chicken wrap was delicious and the guacamole was a nice twist. Great service. Our server followed up a few times and do did the host/ owner. Parking available in the Plaza.

Owner is CIA trained and it shows in the menu and flavours Menu is bright , quirky, variety Alisha was our server and the avocado toast named for her. She was very helpful, informative, pleasant Ambiance very comfortable , music light and pleasant. Outside seating available. Limited hours. Check this place out. No regrets. The owner was upfront cleaning and setting the standard and part owner chef in the kitchen. Definitely coming back to have another dish

Food was great - mimosas even better with the fresh squeezed orange juice! Fluffiest biscuits you've ever seen!

Prime rib and eggs your way

We had an AMAZING breakfast on Father's Day of Prime Rib, eggs your way, home fries and not pictured a giant biscuit. It was "phenomenal " as my husband stated. Prime rib was super tender and flavorful. Put that in the full time menu!!!! As always, the service is wonderful and attentive. If you haven't been to Citrus, stop by and enjoy the regular breakfast items or go for something different. There are plenty of choices.

The selection of food here was insane, there were so many different options, including several eggs Benedict ones alone. It felt like a classic diner, but it's as good as it gets for this area. Super packed and ambiance wasn't amazing, but the food was good and it's definitely peak diner.

Traveling through Denver NC today and Yelp lead us to Citrus. It was a wonderful experience. Our server was attentive but we were also checked on by a few servers. The menu is extensive with really unique options. Our meals were delicious. The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and is decorated with cute citrus murals and colors. Loved our experience.

You're a dirty bird!

A must stop for both dinner and Southern breakfast enthusiasts…read more On my way home from Charlotte, I used Yelp to find me a classic diner to start my day off right. I choose the Crack of Dawn Diner in Concord. I am so glad I did. Crack of Dawn Diner is the real thing--a local Concord breakfast-and-lunch spot serving traditional Southern fare at reasonable prices. The menu caters to local tastes, the dining room is filled with regulars, and the atmosphere is comfortable rather than trendy. Parking is somewhat limited. The private lot surrounding the restaurant was fully used so I parked in the lot next door that had signs that said private property, but it looked like other patrons were parking there also so I took the chance. As it turns out, it was safe to park there. The entrance is very welcoming, as well as the staff. Amanda was my very efficient and nice waitress. There is great teamwork here, and Amanda was well supported by, I believe, the owner who ran my food out and talked a bit with me. The menu is fascinating. A distinctly North Carolina menu. Several things jumped out: * Breakfast special for $6.59 weekdays * Breakfast plates mostly under $12 * Grits included as a side option * Livermush available * City ham and country ham both offered * Pork chops available for breakfast I ordered the country-fried steak with white gravy (essentially chicken-fried steak), along with two sunny-side-up eggs, perfectly prepared grits, a large buttermilk biscuit, and a delicious diner coffee. The restaurant occupies a stand-alone building with a warm, "come on in and rest a spell" atmosphere. Inside, you'll find counter seating, an open kitchen, and tables throughout the dining room. I chose a seat by the window overlooking the parking area. This was a great breakfast, that was reasonably priced, in a great atmosphere, with very nice people. It stuck to both my mind and ribs all day long. After breakfast, I continued on to downtown Concord and spent some time exploring one of North Carolina's most charming revitalized downtown districts. The breakfast was the perfect start to the morning. Crack of Dawn Diner has earned a spot on my repeat list whenever my travels take me through the Charlotte-Concord area.

If you like bland and straight from the chef store ordering, this is the place for you. I ordered a…read morelazy nacho salad thinking it would be like a taco salad, well it was canned unseasoned corn, 8 overly fried tortilla chips, dry preshredded cheese, thick cut lettuce but the white parts, and chili which was alright but could have also been from a can. I also ordered a side of green beans, they were also straight from the can. I also received a sweet tea, which was good but also how do you mess that up? And the kicker, $18 for that... should have stayed home. I was really hopeful for this place but after trying it twice and it was just as bland, I unfortunately will not be back.

This diner was an awesome Yelp choice. Old school look with amazing service and food…read more My eggs were fluffy as well as my pancakes. The chicken wings were huge, fried just right and juicy. Kudos to the chef. Only negative is they offer a whipped spread instead of real butter. Delicious pancakes deserve good butter. I asked for real butter and all they had was honey butter. Do not sleep on asking for it. While it still spread, the honey makes it much better.

When we pulled up, there was a police outside, which didn't bother us. If anything, it made things feel more secure. They also use a metal detector when you walk in before being seated. Don't let that scare you off though -- this place is a well-oiled machine and everything felt organized and under control. Our server was fantastic: calm, attentive, and never pushy. I ordered the country fried steak with collards and mashed potatoes with gravy, and my husband got a burger. My meal was excellent, and it came with a perfectly flaky biscuit. The tea was Southern SWEET tea, too. My husband said his burger was good for a diner, fresh vegetables and the fries were seasoned well. The diner itself is adorable, full of character and charm. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely come back.

The restaurant had a good number of patrons, with about four tables available. I ordered, and my food came out in less than 10 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, the tea, and the pancake. The bacon was thin and overcooked. I ate it, of course, but I will not order it should I return for breakfast. Service was quick and cordial. Once to food came it was ok...but not worthy of the 4/5 stars that others have offered or the ranking as a great brunch place. She had a special with poached eggs, sausage, and one slice of French toast. Sausage seemed like it might have been fresh from a supermarket frozen package. French toast came super late. My omelet and biscuit were good enough (but not hot enough...did they sit around waiting to be expedited...short servers?). As for the grits. They ran out. How does a breakfast place in NC run out? They finally came after I had finished the omelet. Sigh. THEN the single slice of lukewarm French toast came. After the grits. After she was long finished with her eggs. It WAS delicious though. Perhaps an off day? Happens. Again, servers were delightfully polite. But food was only average, and the kitchen...well...read above...
