Was quite disappointed. I ordered two meat plate with green beans and hush puppies. Got cold meat and baked beans. It was too busy for me to feel like going back after I'd already sat down. So I kept the beans but ended up tossing them because they were too sweet. Severely disappointed in the brisket which I had to pay extra for. The chicken seemed raw so I just brought it all home and will reheat the meat for a leftover meal. Can't say I would come back because I feel as busy as they were the food should have been hot.

We ordered the motherload since we were a party of eight. We also ordered the cobb salad. The motherload contained sausage, turkey, chicken, pulled pork, brisket and ribs. My favorite were the sausage, brisket and and ribs. For the sides, we ordered hush puppies, green beans, corn pudding and cornbread. The cornbread was okay and I am not a fan of hush puppies. This place is casual and we bussed our tables after eating. I enjoyed the BBQ sauces but I can't say I would go back if I am in the area.

Stellar service, decent food. Go on a weekend so you can see Miss Mo, she's the reason we come in. Ambiance is friendly and welcoming! Southern hospitality at its finest (with MissMo) We order chicken, cornbread, Mac n cheese. Brisket beans, and all the sauces! Triple Chocolate cake. We'll be back miss mo! Thank you

2 Two Meats, Two Sides (Ribs and Pulled Pork). So good.

This place is good for what seems like a good bbq joint. I just moved from Texas and I need my brisket fix. This place has really good brisket that fills that need . Everyone here is really nice and helpful. Everything here is smoked or slow cooked just like I found in Texas. Glad I came across this place.

5-3-25. St. Louis style ribs. One eaten and one seconds before eating.

5-3-25. Visited here before catching a flight home. Very happy I stopped in. Tasted a few different items......pork ribs were terrific, moist and tender with a nice sweet, tangy sauce. BBQ chicken was juicy and flavorful. Pulled pork and chopped brisket sandwich was excellent, as was the pulled pork nachos. The side of collared greens was also very tasty. The "naked" sliced turkey was decent but not as good as the other meat items. Hush puppies were also pretty good. Mac and cheese had a nice flavor but was a little on the mushy side. You order your food at the counter, grab your own table and they call you to pick up your order when the food is ready. A no nonsense, non pretentious place to get some good BBQ. Staff was friendly. I'm glad I don't live anywhere near this restaurant because I'd be visiting too often and that would be very dangerous for my sodium and cholesterol intake. Overall, a very pleasant and satisfying meal.

City Barbeque is a quick chain option if you are craving some BBQ. You place your order at the counter then wait for it and find a place to sit. It was the two meats with two sides sampler (brisket, sausage, baked beans and green beans) for my husband and the 3 sides plate (baked beans, 3-cheese baked mac and potato salad) with a modelo for me. There was a ticket printing issue was not communicated to a few of us until we waited a bit. I also really wanted corn pudding but they were out of it. My favorites were the beans and sausage.

(Great WiFi!) The interior is glass on two sides, so it very bright, and appointed with comfy chairs with waist-high dividers around the bar and small table area. My friend arrived at 5:15 as promised and we were escorted to a table further down the building. The bartender brought my bill to the table later, and I asked if it could be added to the total but he said no. I had read about the pimento cheese wontons, so we decided to try those as a starter. They arrived hot and dressed with a red pepper jelly sauce. (Not too hot, a nice foil to the pimento cheese!) My friend liked them as well. Neither of us are eating large meals these days, so we opted to share an entree. We decided on the NY Strip steak ($38) which comes with smoked potato au gratin and collard greens. We tried to sub the greens for anything else, and the only other option was Brussels sprouts. (Green beans? Broccoli? Asparagus? Anything else? Nope, just stinky stuff.) So, stinky veggies were the only option. (We asked the waiter not to bring them, but they arrived anyway, and we had someone remove them quickly!) The potato's turned out to be more a chunky soup, rather than a casserole, but were tasty. Just difficult to share. (No spoons were offered for the soup!) The steak was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection (rare/medium rare) with a nice finishing sauce, and was just enough. Somehow, that steak, the wonton app ($11) and a regular house marg were billed at $88 after tax, which meant over $100 with tip, but I was enjoying my friend's company too much to dispute the bill. After I left, I did the math and figure they charged extra for something in there. But I was gone and never take the receipt, because most waitstaff do a good job of putting info into the POS system. Maybe I need to reassess my trust of waitstaff data entry. Suffice it to say this will not be a regular spot I go to. Stinky veggies, poor data entry and sides that can't easily be shared made for a sour first impression. The steak was good, but I can't find that extra $30 in anything, unless it was the toxic veggie disposal fee.

It would be like renaming the Angus Barn to something like the Beef Shed. I'll start with the two desserts...we couldn't decide between the three desserts they had so we settled on two. Both were freaking amazing. Almost ordered the third to go. The Chocolate tort with Nutella gluten free was creamy and deeply rich in flavor. The Espresso Panna cotta with strawberries was lighter and subtly sweet and perfect. I also couldn't decide between one entry so I got the Vietnamese pork chop and the smoked wings in plum bbq sauce...the pork chop was just okay but everything else that came with it was really good...those vegetables rocked! Now the plum wings...that's unusual and was definitely something that was downright flavorful...I would get them again for sure. My girlfriend is gluten-free and picked this place just for the GF chicken and she was blown away. I tried it and I was blown away. We stopped by on a Sunday morning and the place was buzzing--I'm guessing many diners were coming from church. Thankfully we made a reservation because every table seemed to fill up quickly. The Shoestring Okra Fries were a fun twist on a Southern classic--crispy, lightly seasoned with chili citrus seasoning, and even better dipped in the tangy lime mayo. We also shared the Artichoke Dip, which arrived bubbling hot, creamy, and perfect for spreading on the toasted bread. For brunch, we went with two very different dishes, and both were excellent. The Asparagus & Mushroom Omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor from the goat cheese and pickled onions, while the buttery biscuit with jam on the side was a nice Southern touch. The Fried Green Tomato & Bacon Benedict was the standout of the meal. Crispy fried green tomatoes, perfectly poached eggs, smoky bacon, and rich hollandaise came together beautifully without feeling overly heavy. We couldn't leave without one more treat. The Strawberry Kiwi Margarita was bright, fruity, and balanced with just enough tequila and a zesty spiced citrus rim to keep it refreshing. To finish, we shared an Affogato, the perfect ending with creamy ice cream and a shot of hot espresso. If you're planning a Sunday brunch in Cary, make a reservation--you'll be glad you did. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked just as good, which makes us eager to try more on a return visit. It is a small space, and on a busy Saturday around 5pm it was quite lively and loud--which isn't negative, but more of an observation. There was no music playing and the TVs didn't have volume, so the room noise carried quite a bit. At times it was difficult to hear conversation even sitting right next to each other. That said, unfortunately, during our visit, some of the dialogue from nearby regulars was disappointing, very rude, and imo racist. It definitely made us uncomfortable, which impacted our experience and led us to leave earlier than planned. I'm hoping this was an outlier for what is otherwise a great neighborhood spot.
