Thad and Conrad were fantastic in helping us with our move. Not only did they arrive a half hour early, they were able to complete the entire move in two hours and 10 minutes. They were kind, efficient and kept all of our things in pristine condition. It took three weeks for delivery, but when I requested an expedite they stop taking my calls. They also gave me the run around and wouldn't let me speak to the supervisor. Although a friend had recommended another place, City Movers was available on short notice and things really worked out quite well. It got off to a bit of rough start, as I scheduled the move, but the reservation came through multiple times via email without the information plugged in, making me worry that it was a bit disorganized there. However, we were able to work through the kinks and get things lined up. The day of the move, Thad and Conrad showed up about 15 minutes early, came in and checked things out, then got started right away. I actually have some experience working as a mover, and to see these guys work was impressive. They were organized, efficient, and took excellent care of our furniture and items, especially given the fact they had to go three floors...certainly not an easy task. They loaded up the truck in about 90 minutes or so, then followed us to the new apartment about a mile away. Once we got there, they got started on unloading and did so pretty quickly, helping organize the furniture and boxes where we asked. In all, the move only took 2 hours and 10 minutes, much less time than I thought. Both men were very cordial, professional and a pleasure to have helping us. I would highly recommend booking City Movers and request Thad and Conrad. If you can't get them as a team, see if you can get at least one of them. They're great, and the pricing is reasonable, especially with how quickly they work. I hope I don't have to move any time soon, but I'll most likely use these guys again when I need to. read more

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the movers that came to pick up my furnishings. They took the time to sit down and talk with me about everything they were going to be doing, each step of the move. When they wrapped my furniture, they took extra special care in blanket wrapping and shrink wrapping on top of it. They even took the time to disassemble my kitchen table. I have moved previously with other major moving companies, and they did not take the pride in their work, and consideration for the customer like your company does. Another thing that I did like is that you do not hire outside helpers upon pick-up and delivery. As he explained to me they do not like having strangers coming into someones home. They made me feel that I was part of your moving family. You can rest assured that I would highly recommend your company to anyone that I know that may be moving. My experience with this company has made me feel more at ease with this move. I was moving from the Bay Area to Sacramento. I contacted City Movers and spoke to Anthony. He scheduled time to come to my house the very next day to look at everything and provided a written estimate within 24 hours. Anthony was great to work with. He was availalble anytime before, during and after the move for any questions or concerns I had and always responded very promptly. The price was very reasonable for what I was looking for, which was packing all my belongings, loading and moving, then unloading. And I liked that it was a flat fee so there were no surprises after the move. I can't say enough good things about my experience. The movers I worked with were extremely professional and so nice. I had my 9 month old son there with no help while they were packing and loading, and they made what could have been stressful very easy by working quickly and efficiently. When we arrived at the destination, the unloading of the items went just as quickly and smoothly. Everyone was so friendly, nice and took such careful care of my belongings. They even allowed me to take my time to unpack and came back for the reusable containers a couple weeks later. I would definitely recommend City Movers and will definitely be using them again next time I need to move. Moving in general can be a pain, especially if you have a baby there at the time. I chose this moving company because of the reviews on Yelp, and when I was shopping around there was one thing that impressed me. I called for a quote and the customer service I received was excellent. I called other companies who just did not know how to deal with a potential customer. So moving date was here, July 19th. They showed up on time. They inspected what needed to be moved and proceeded to wrap all wood furniture in blankets and sofa stuff in wrap. All of my stuff was treated so gently and the attention to detail was impressive. They were not only careful with my stuff but they were making sure they were not damaging walls or hallways. I was impressed by how these guys were detailed, efficient and just pleasent to deal with. Getting to my new building and unloading was a breeze. My stuff was placed where I wanted it, and they were open to me asking to maybe move something a bit etc etc. Again great customer service skills. All and all it was a great moving experience, proibably the best moving experience I have had in 12 years in San Francisco. I will recommend them to anyone, and will of course use them again! Really great service at a reasonable price. No gimmicks or random fees. Movers were on time, very quick and efficient, and even finished with my move before the 2 hour time limit (granted it was an easy move within San Francisco). I had a great experience with City Movers LLC, and was so glad I found them via yelp. I was moving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and just had a few items to ship. I wanted to get next day delivery so that I would go no more than 1 night without a bed and some of my necessities, and City Movers LLC offered the best price for that service. Other large moving companies charged almost 2-3 times the amount. I felt that I was cared for, as well as my stuff, by City Movers LLC. I spoke with the manager himself when I first called, Casey, (it's a small company), and the same person who came to pick up my items (Joe) was the same person who drove my stuff and delivered my stuff the next day, with his brother Jacob. I couldn't have been more disappointed in my experience with City Movers. This company came highly recommended to us, but really failed to deliver. Although we had booked 4 movers, only 3 arrived to do our move. Within minutes of starting the job, they dragged a heavy piece of furniture along the hardwood floor, leaving a scratch. This prompted us to talk to them about being more careful. They clearly didn't take our concerns seriously, telling us that the scratch would just wash right off, and unfortunately, they did not proceed with any additional care. We then called Anthony directly to discuss our concerns. His response was to tell his crew to abandon the job. Lucky for us, we were able to secure the services of a rival company at the last minute. Zhang's Moving Company came and worked quickly and carefully, exhibiting a professionalism completely absent from the City Movers' crew. If you want professionalism and reliability you won't find it at City Movers. Based on our experience, they deliver sub par service and then flee if they assess that their client is unwilling to accept that level of service. read more

After a rocky start of miscommunication with the office on trying to schedule the move and the need to move my moving day back I was not feeling so confident. I had been recommended City Movers by a trusted friend who had a great experience I decided to stick it out. I am glad I did! Because of the mix-up in the moving day they sent (2) extra movers out at no charge to help withe move and expedite it. They guys did an amazing job they were quick,efficient and courteous. They took the time to ask questions and make sure everything was packed properly. They were running late in due to city traffic and called to let me know. The follow up after the move Anthony was great. He definitely took the time to listen to my frustration about the initial move process and acknowledged the issue and provided great customer service to turn what was a lack of confidence to a definitely use them again if moving is in the future. read more
