My lease was coming up and I was looking for an upgrade in vehicle without an upgrade in payments. Nick and Amadou at City World were fantastic. I was able to upgrade from my 2013 Ford Edge SEL into a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium for almost the exact same payments on my current lease. I was out of my old car and into my new one within a couple of hours. They were really nice and accommodating and even topped off the gas tank for me. this place is very unprofessional!! there could be 10 salesmen and no one will notice one customer. do not buy any used car that is not a ford car here. you will not get the proper warranty or guarantee of proper maintenance for that used car. they will promise that financing will be low cost. not true at all. the saleman will jack up the cost to pocket their commission!!!!!! make sure ask for a carfax! i'd finance a bmw x5 2011 in 2014 cost $36,000 when i got through the financial process the total sale amount came out to $60,000 like if i was purchasing a new car from bmw. a few months later the car start to have issues. when i went to tell them they gave me the run around and i should call the warranty number to see what they can do. i started paying out of pocket for the passed five year i've spend over $10,000 on fixing issues on the car that the warranty didn't cover. plus the note!! they send me to an auto shop d&m auto repair in zerega ave in the bronx that states the have a bmw specialist not true. the guy does not know anything about handling bmw. adding for issues to fix the car. i'd eventually went to bmw of manhattan. buyer's remorse is written all over my face. i'm in debt and have gone bankrupt!! i was a first time car buyer, i was naive and let my mind wondering just by looking at the car and cheap price. i was con by the salesman, the finance guy, to the dealership that carries the ford name there at city world ford. i will recommend to anyone who is looking to buy or finance a car not to buy from this place. i hate this place!!!!!!!!! read more

This dealership is really unprofessional. We bought Toyota Sienna there, it was good deal I can say. Later we found that the car had minor accident which was never reported. It was minor, however, the dealer should know and told us about it when we asked. The real issues started after we get the car. We supposed to have 30 day warranty for any issues. We found one issue with under-engine cover being broken. When we called them about it, they said as soon we drove out, we cannot bring it back with any issues. We called to the boss, he was rude and said he doesn't give... about it. Next issue. We paid for the to issue registration. We still waiting for it. And the temporary one expired a week ago. We call them a few time. They said "You'll get it when you'll get it", so we asked how we supposed to drive without registration, the answer "It's your problem not ours" If I could I would give them one star. read more

Their employees uncaring, "blow-you-off" attitudes are extremely unprofessional, and they never seem to stock anything you need, and you have to always wait days to get it, plus YOU have to call THEM (not the other way around as with most businesses) to find out if they have what you need. Plus, never have I had to wait a day and a half to get 4 tires and a balance done (this usually is done at most auto/tire shops in a couple hours tops!!), only to have the service rep give me an attitude when I asked about why it takes so long (c'mon, a day and a half???? I would of gave them a one star but my sales rep was very professional dealing with me. The issue took place after the purchase. I trade in my vehicle for a Ford Escape 2017 last Monday. My payoff balance for my previous vehicle is a little over $3700. I was told by my sale rep that it takes ten days via mail to reach my bank. Last Wednesday I received a phone call from the Customer Service After Purchase Rep and she told me if I have any issues give her a call. So yesterday, I call my bank to see if they receive a payment since it's getting close to the ten day mark. Not only that my bank stated that they didn't receive a payment, but Ford never contacted them about the pay off balance. So, I call Ford Dealership to find out what's going on with the payment. My sales rep wasn't there. So, I decided to speak with the Customer Service Sales After Purchase Rep and that's when things got a little interesting. This woman got on the phone like I ruin her day. I told her what my bank informed me. She told me it takes 30-45 days for the paperwork to process for the pay off to go to my bank. This is my second time doing trade in. The first time was with Sanders Ford in North Carolina, which it took a few days to complete the payoff process. So, I'm not a rookie dealing with this process. Then she told me to tell my bank that I trade in my vehicle and that I'm not making another payment ,which I informed them since the day I did the trade in. Then the funny thing was when she was telling me that Ford cannot tell my bank to stop payments on a loan to a trade in vehicle. Of course it's not Ford's job to do that because I made the payment arrangement with my bank. I called Ford for my pay off balance status nothing else. Then when I was trying to tell her that my bank is interesting in the payment for the vehicle because I'm still responsible for that loan. And that the next loan payment is due in the middle of April. And that my bank has access to my checking account to make this payment. She was telling me to give them a copy of the bill of sales and that I traded in the vehicle. That's when I realize after a good five to ten minutes that it was pointless to explain it to her. Why would she care? It's not her checking account that my bank has access to pay off the loan for a vehicle I do not have. I strongly believe that this Ford Dealership should seek professional advice from the Ford Dealership down south. read more

I have been coming to this service shops for several years and there have been several management changes..This management is the worst I have ever encountered..They have bad communication skills. The staff and mechanics sit around and laugh and talk..They give you appointments and your car is still not seen..Gilda is the worst worker I have ever encountered..I had a heat issue.. She tried to keep my car for three days due to their incompetence.. The people who answer the phone don't know anything. They tell you they will have someone call you back..no one calls..My last visit they broke my key off in my ignition and never said anything..They were going to send me home to try and figure out how I was going to turn my car off of get the key out..I wish I was unable to give minus stars because they dont even deserve 1 star..This will be my last time coming here..and I would never recommend anyone to this service shop read more

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! Customer Service sucks!! They know everything and the customer is never right!! I bought a BMW from them last year and as soon as I drove off the lot it has the same issue. Spark plug burn out. Before my 30 day warranty was up I already been to the service department twice ‍ they tired to fix it at the service location on Boston Rd. ** I wish they woulda just said they didn't know what they was doing cause. They supposedly fix it. Few weeks go by ... same problem so I i took it back to the dealership and spoke to the manager. He confirmed what I thought they probably don't know how to fix BMW they specialize in Fords. Ok cool no problem but I bought this car right here. So fix it!! Proceeds to send me to a location on Zerga Ave. And reassures me that if they can't fix the problem they will trade in my car and put me in something reliable. The manager Anthony is a fat lair!! They fixed the spark plug again on Zerga Ave so I thought . My spark plugs burned out a few weeks later. Dealt with it for awhile now even saw my own mechanics. Spending my own money. The problem is the car has the same issue and I think they knew that when they sold it to and now I want to trade it in it's a problem. Researched a quote online for a car, and was given a quote by phone by a person who was not a sales person. When I got there with the printed quote, I was told that it was not for the car I had discussed, and that the person who gave me the quote was not a sales person and was just trying to help. Also, while on the phone with the non-sales associate, I could hear in the background the other associates laughing about someone calling in to speak with the broker. Once I arrived, an actual sales person wasted my time now looking for the car which I called in about. Why mislead me in the first place and claim you had the car and color available? Worst car dealer experience ever. Went to look at a car and they said I couldn't test drive it that day because it needed to be serviced. They told me that I would be the first to know when it got back from the shop in a few days and they wouldn't sell it before I got a chance to drive it. I called back a few days later, then a week, then 2 weeks and they said it still wasn't back yet. I was then told 3 WEEKS LATER that it was back on the lot and if I could come in that day. Unfortunately I was out of town and said I could be there tomorrow morning. I called them before I left and was told by another sales person that the car wasn't on the lot and was still being serviced. When I called back the following day I was told that it was sold. When I spoke to a woman, claiming to be a manager, about how I've been waiting 3 weeks to see this car and was told it wasn't going to be sold she was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak to a manage and she said "Well what would you like me to do about it, we sold the car" and refused to put me on the phone with another manager. We are a small company with about a dozen or so vehicles, from all companies. We had a vehicles engine die easily within the extended service plans mileage. When I who runs my company called the service department, the service manager told us too bad they were full till next week. That's not a way to do business. I called the Ford Motor company and they told us this dealership has had major complaints. Worst experience! I called them regarding a Subaru BRZ used I asked them questions regarding the car all seemed great to me. Exactly what I was looking for And I specifically asked them if a its an automatic or Manuel they told me auto. I set up an appointment to test drive the car. I drove an hour to the dealership. Once I got there the dealer takes my information. And says he's going to bring the car from service. Cuz it was there for inspection.... I waited half hour. Then I asked him where's the car. Oh. It's still going to take 20-30 mins. So I asked him to run the numbers and figure out a price. So after giving me a price that we both agreed on. I asked him speciation sod the car. Color, clear title etc. and I asked him is it a Manuel or automatic. He said automatic. Then he stepped away and got back to me and said "I never saw the car yet but the other sales man told me he drove it and it's an automatic" I got so pissed. Really??! I received an ad about paying off my current lease, with incentives to get a new 2017. I went into the dealership today and discussed the car I wanted with a sales representative. He went into his inventory and told me the car I wanted was available but he had to go to another lot to get the car. I sat at his desk for 40 minutes while he went to get the car and was ignored by everyone that worked there. There was no inquiry to see how I was doing, if I wanted or needed anything. After close to 90 minutes I finally found out that he was on his way back but on the meantime the sales manager took me to another building to show me a 2017 Fusion. When i asked why they didn't show me that to begin with, it was because it didn't have all features I wanted. I was ready to pack it in there and leave when I was asked to stay for about 10 more minutes. The rep then finally came back without the car, saying it was suppose to be where he went but it wasn't there. So 2 hours wasted with no show for it, not even a test drive. The Rep told me he would work up numbers and get back to me with a deal I would be happy with, doubt it, but I'm not expecting to hear from him or anyone at the dealership. This was an entire waste of time, while the Rep seemed to be a nice guy, the whole place seemed very disorganized. I recently purchased a 2015 SUV for $33,000 from City World Ford that had bubbling and chipped paint on the hood, a defective media hub and defective front rotors. After purchasing the vehicle, I asked City World Ford to address these conditions and they agreed to do so. After taking my car to the Bronx twice--once to see a service representative who had been fired two weeks before my appointment and the other time for fake VIP treatment when no one knew of my appointment and I was given a bill for the repairs City World Ford agreed to address. I purchased two Ford SUVs from City World Ford totaling $63,000 in a 3 year period and I was shown deception, unprofessionalism and distain. At first I was reluctant to purchase a vehicle from a car dealership in the Bronx because Bronx dealerships have a reputation for dishonesty, bad customer relations, deception, and, in some cases, out right thievery. Now, City World Ford has given credence to the complaints and warnings that Bronx car dealerships are dishonest, deceptive and down right unprofessional. Perhaps the worst aspect of my experience with City World Ford is that I dealt with minorities who already carry a presumption against them that they provide less quality service, less professionalism and are generally less honest than their white counterparts in other car dealerships. read more

Im in the market to buy a 2016 Ford Explorer xlt and I looked thru CITYWORLDFORD.COM and found what could of been the truck i was looking for. I called, spoke to Shaniqua (very pleasant ) she told me the truck i was looking for was in. I drove to the dealer ship, spoke to Latisha in sales walked me across to the lot and there she was she checked all the boxes in what i was looking for. Truck was a trade and wasn't ready to be shown. Latisha couldn't find the FOB key and said "It'll be back from service soon" weekend past and no truck but, i left a deposit for it anyway. I had a run around all weekend with different answers all the time. Finally today July 3rd 2017 I stopped by with my wife and kids.. Latisha said "its still inservice and wont be available to later this week.. Wife and i decided ok, lets talk price... that's when it all went down hill.. Latisha said she spoke to ASM John who said "internet price is the sale price " I then, went inside the dealership and I spoke to John. John said "that is the price and there is no room for negotiation and quite frankly did not care about a potential customer standing in front of him wanting to go ahead with the paperwork.. He compared the car to a large TV at Best buy and soon after that dumb remark from City World Ford ASM I said so no deal?? he said no. I showed him my down payment in cash and he didn't care. At this point I'm in disbelief that this dealership, after all this run would let me walk out without a purchase. Very bad for business. I'm shopping and will find my truck. This was the worst service station in the city. Their customer service left little to be desired. I called in advance if they could service my car on a Saturday. Every time I was transfered to the service department no one answered the phone. WAlso I had called two days before and a woman said that the service area was open until 730 pm and that I could drop it off Monday through Saturday. When I got to the service department they said that there was nothing that they could do because it was a Saturday. Also the man at the service department said that it was open until 6, and I had to get there at 5 to get any work done on the car. Absolutely horrific experience. First of all, we were there for 6 hours. And then for the car, we wanted they wouldn't show the carfax until after we signed. And that's where we found out the car had an accident. And then when we got to the financier ROBERT he was absolutely slimy and unprofessional he was talking to us with a smirk. Then he added a 4k warranty without our approval and when we refuse it he was very belligerent about it. and then he said that the car does not have any warranty whatsoever. FYI ALL CARS UNDER THE LEMON LAW IN NYS HAS A WARRANTY and not to mention he tried to charge high apr and would not finance through Ford Credit. Before we refuse it he said we can take our car home the night but now when we refuse to pay 4k for the warranty he made a lame excuse for us not to take it home that night. And then when we were there to pick up the car 2 days later the car we only got one key. And we found the previous owners information. we contact them and they said the car was traded in with TWO keys. this dealership is not good for the brand they are absolutely unprofessional and Ford should take action against them. I walked into this life-stealing death trap because I saw a car for $3,000 advertised online. Judging by the awesome photos they took, I figured it was worth a looksee. (They have some good photographers) After talking to a salesman about the car and dodging his verbal attempts to show me any other, he finally show me the polished turd that appear to be sitting on wheels. The car looked unbelievably terrible. It was like a scene outta a slasher film. Looking around I did see a car I liked. The dealer told me (here's the scam) that he'd knock $2,000 dollars off the vehicle dropping it down to $8,995, bottom line. It was a hell of a lot more than I came in there for, but how could I resist. After talking a lil' and pulling me in with date-rape sweet talk and promises up the ass, the gentleman would not stop saying "Don't worry, I'll take care of you". Every question that I uttered was also followed by these words. None answered properly mine you. I had nothing answered. After dealing with this cornball scam artist. I went to the financer who looked up which bank will give me a loan. Since it was late, I had to come back the next day. When returning, I couldn't find my financer, so I talk to my sales associate. He told me that the loan searching looked dim, and that if I gave his $300 dollars, he'd take care of me. I felt weird about this and the way he was very careful about who he said it around n' to keep it hush hush. I was a lil' crushed because I really didn't want to pour anymore money that I didn't have. After pondering it for a minute, I bumped into my financer who asked me if I was ready for paperwork. It turned out that he DID find me a bank and the dick salesman just wanted to make a lil' money off me. Who knows how many victims he's conned already! While there, another salesman recommended that we shop for insurance and directed us to a computer. Being that my fiance' and I are new drivers, insurance was super high. We were then given crooked advice like, add _______ to your insurance to lower it! "Can you get a friend in another state to use there address. You can use ________ state, it's cheaper". WOW! We finally found an insurer, but i'll get to the later. While signing, I kept asking questions along the way. My finacer was a lil offput by this, because apparently these were questions that should've been answered by the salesman. Here's one of the scams. The reason they take $2000 off the car, is cause the FORCE you to buy an OPTIONAL warranty for $2500 which is repulsivly limited on top of a OPTIONAL $1400 maintainece program which also is a must. These are things discussed after you've loaned the bank n' signed 1 or 2 papers already. the car came upto $15,000 with taxes, legal fees, warranty, etc...Farcry from $8,995. We also were forced to buy license, n registration from them which was a nightmare. And severly expensive compare to if we wanted to go to the DMV ourselves. Then insurance came from the state, paid off buy a 3rd party, and we'd pay back the 3rd party. This is what the insurer recommended was best for naive new drivers. We keep getting notices from the Insurer, stating that if we don't pay soon, they will cut our insurance. We've sent 2 check monthly (which have been cashed) to the 3rd party creditor, along sade a $700 signing premium. The Insurance company hasn't received payment yet. Then 1 month and a few weeks into ownership. we still hadn't received our registration. I work in the city and cops are adament about giving tickets to expired temp tags or expired tags. I called 40 times, and spent 40 mins accumatively being transfered back n forth. Went in, and the said they still didn't have mine. I finally got my registration 3 days and 2 tickets after my temps tags expired. During the whole time, my insurance company kept sending letters threatining to cancel cause my car hasn't been registered with the state as of yet. The timing could not be worst, unfortunately right before Christmas. I stopped by City World Ford, and explained what was going on, Mike Hannah whom made all the promises is now trying to sell me a newer vehicle," well lets put you in a new car " after consulting his BOSS Jay, It was concluded that such act could not take place until the vehicle breaks down 3 times for the same problem. I said OK, how are you guys going to accommodate me, with this being such an inconvenience right before Christmas ? Very rudely that said " SORRY ABOUT YOUR SITUATION, WE ARE SALES MEN, THERES OBSOLUTELY NOTHING WE CAN DO FOR YOU, THATS YOUR PROBLEM NOW, YOU NEED TO CALL FORD!!! they repeated. They where NOT HELPFUL at all. BE ADVISED "DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE OR THIS DEALERSHIP" THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET THEIR SALE!!! I reached out to the ford leasing company, they directed me to Ford Relations, After complaining to Ford relations customer team, about the unfortunate mishap and treatment at CITY WORLD FORD, they said because I am a10 year plus valued customer they would Pre-approve a rental vehicle, I was instructed to contact the CITY WORLD FORD service manager, 20 Minutes after hanging up the ford relations specialist. So I did, the service manager who's name is ARMOND said, no such thing was authorized!!! He stated I should recontact the Ford Relations, Knowing that by this time Ford relations was gone for the Holiday, and I ended up right back where I started!! Inconvenienced, and frustrated the day after Christmas, early in the morning I contacted Ford Relations, had them review the case, and reiterated what the Ford Service manager said, the young lady placed me on hold, contacted the Service facility, and was told, although a rental or loaner was authorized, they could not help me with this situation, due to the holiday, and this service is not provided by CITY WORLD FORD, therefore it is my problem not theirs!!! Ford Relations stated theres nothing we can do, I should check back with them monday, december 28. Thanks to this Unfortunate mishap, this is by far the worst christmas I've ever had! I always thought as an AMERICAN, I should Buy AMERICAN, but the Treatment I endured here, has totally changed my mind about FORD, I am probably stuck with this vehicle for a few more years, but I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FORD EVER AGAIN! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! If you want a vehicle there the last place you want to go to, poor communication, they call you 24/7 to get you in there but once they think they got you, once you put that money down they treat you like you don't even exist. No phone calls, no emails no updates NOTHING! I ordered my Ford Explorer 2017 from the factory plant to be built, was told it was going to go in right away, I go to the dealership a week later and John tells my mom that he just put the order in, but it was their loss because I went to Scarsdale Ford and they are so wonderful and their ratings don't lie. Scarsdale was very professional and I walked out with my car 2 days after I made the request, I got all the features that I wanted in the car and MORE!!! They practice bait-and-switch, and were deceptive when challenged (They couldn't get their stories straight) They confirmed multiple times that the vehicle was ready on the lot. When the buyer I was helping (he has limited English) arrived, they switched salesman, showed him a car that was a year older and had 46,000 more miles FOR THE SAME PRICE. And they were pressing the buyer for a deposit, despite knowing the vehicle had been switched. Of course, when challenged they tried to make up stories. Antwana fold me that the buyer had been told immediately when he got there that the car was "out to have a broken mirror fixed" and that the buyer requested to see different models. 100% untrue. The salesman had a different stoty, and said he was "confused" because the cars were "so similar. Then he said the car was out being detailed. Then the supervisor - -Zuedi, tried to go on the offense, screaming and yelling. Her story was even more incoherent. Stay clear. AVOID !!!!!!! WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!! I found a nice car they supposedly had on carfax.com. It listed it as being the base model, but showed a pictures of the top end, fully loaded model. Throughout the day I explained I was coming from another state & I would love for someone to send me a picture of the car via text or email. They went completely quiet for the rest of the day!!! All they would say is "go look on the site it's really the car" and "just submit the credit app"...NOT. The description of the vehicle on their site said cloth seats, yet all of the pictures showed leather! I decided to call & ask for the sales manager. He said to me "it's impossible for someone to send me a picture". Ummm really?! Impossible?? I could do it in 30 seconds & would happily do that to get a sale!! ...that is if I actually had the car I claimed to. I politely said thanks for your time but I'm going to look elsewhere...he then hung up on me!!! This place should never ever be in business. I went to city world ford in april of 2012 to test drive either a ford edge or an explorer. When I spoke to the salesman, I could tell he was eager to get me into a car that day. I told them that I had just previously paid off a car loan and was not looking to get into another 5 to 6 hundred dollar a month payment. I had about a thousand dollars to put down but told them I was willing to come back in 6 months with a greater down payment to to get my monthly payments down to about 300 a month. The rep then tells me that he can get me into a car with that day no money down. He says that if i make my first 7 payments at 600 dollars a month and come back in 7 months they can refinance me at 325 a month. When I asked if I needed this in writing, I was told no. When I asked if this was guranteed I was lead to believe that they had a deal worked out with the bank already as long as I made my 7 payments of 600 dollars on time. I paid all 7 payments on time. when I went back in nov of 2012 to refinance, the new rep I spoke to now tells me that he can refinance at 440 a month. When I told him that I was told 325 he tells me that was a best estimate and that no bank ever really takes half the payment away. He gets back to me 2 weeks later and tells me that I have to make an additional 3 payments of 600 a month. I make an additional 4 payments and come back in april of 2013 a year from my original purchase date. When I speak to the rep he now tells me that he can refinance me for 500 a month because something came up in my credit. so now I have to make an additional 6 payments of 500 a month and come back to get refinanced. The car I bought was used by the way. It is a 2010. So now I'm going to have to refinance for a second time and tack on more years for a used car. I left a review on another site and they responded with "the banks have been tightening up on their criteria and it has been difficult to get refinancing done lately" If that was the case or if my credit didn't warrent a better deal at a better rate in 7 months then I should have been made aware of that so I can make a proper decision. I was told that this was all done deal as long as I made my payments on time. I was swindled into a car and flat out lied to. Now I'm stuck in a car with payments that I told them I did not want to have to make. The fault is my own for taking city world ford at their word and believing that had listened to my needs as a customer and taken my best interest at heart. I asked if I needed any of this in writing and they told me no. Next time around I will be a more savvy buyer, but I will not be buying at city world ford. I will be trading the car in next year and even though I will have to eat some of the money on the value of the car, I am just eager to make city world ford a distant memory and never have to deal with them again. read more
