    Steak frites
    Jarrod S.

Second trip here and came both times. Great location right outside the ball park and the bar tenders were very friendly. Came right before the game let out at tried the steak frites. Steak was well past what I ordered but the manager was already getting smoked by some guests being unreasonable so I just enjoyed. Great flavor and was shame I did not have room for their dessert.

Nice classy spot to have a tasty meal and some drinks after a long day walking the St Louis convention center floor. Even though it looks fancy here its also a casual vibe and ambiance. Also, its right near the stadium all lit up at night. My boss took us out for a team dinner here and since the place was packed we grabbed seats at the bar which we didn't mind as the service between the bartenders and waitstaff was terrific. Nothing like a cold craft beer, perfectly seasoned and cooked steak with veggies, along with sides such as Brussels sprouts and mac & cheese. Everything was delicious!

Here's the gist of it, I didn't sit in the actual restaurant and I didn't try any of the food, just a drink at the bar. The bar has a different (way more limited menu) than the actual sit down restaurant. Keep in mind this is a hotel restaurant located inside the Loews right by Ballpark Village in downtown St Louis. I think my issue may have been that a cardinals game just ended because it was loud and rowdy. Not what I usually search for in a hotel bar that markets itself as quite classy. The service wasn't great either, it took quite long for any staff to notice me and for me to order my cocktail as well as collect my check. But, the drink itself was very good and I still would consider coming back since I'm always looking for new places that are walking distance to where I usually stay in downtown STL. I went with a smoked lemon drop ($18) the smokey touch of the lemon slice was very aromatic and cut through the sweetness of the drink. It was well balanced and easy to sip on, not usually the type of drink I go for but, I wanted to try something new and exciting. I would give a 3.5 stars if I could because even though my service wasn't great it seemed like the female bartenders were all being heckled by a group of very drunk guys who had just left the game so they were overwhelmed. The drink was nothing extraordinary for the price but it was an adequate sweet sipper that reminded me of spring/summer. Like I mentioned, I would probably be back but, I would choose to sit in the dining room where it seemed to be much more quiet and the menu excited me a bit more.

Outstanding. We arrived at opening and there were already parties just steps ahead of us as we walked into the building to be seated. (Good sign!) Mark was our server and he was so friendly and attentive. He made me feel like a VIP! Bread service was delicious. I hadn't had a lot of bread with pepper, but it had just the right amount of kick to it. So warm and poofy. The butter may have been on the harder side but it immediately melted perfectly on the bread. I ordered a burger that was so filling. I didn't even eat half because there was so much! It made for great leftovers the next day. I loved the mood lighting at each table that made it feel like it was just the two of us. Across the way from us was the bar and that had a sports bar vibe which was very casual but didn't lower the standard of class by any means. Love it! It' was definitely a drive for us but well worth it!

I got the wagyu burger and it was so delicious and everyone was so sweet! Highly recommend this for a date night out!

Smoke fish dip I think...the chips were perfect

Took a quick trip to St. Louis for work, stopped here for happy hour and it was a good look! Loved the bar area, indoor and outdoor. Started with the Gold Rush cocktail and a couple of appetizers - cheese curds and I believe it was a smoked fish dip. Both very good! A huge thank you to Ashlynne the bartender. At one point, the bar got very busy, she was the only knowledgeable bartender behind the bar. She was over worked and overwhelmed with no help. I believe a member of the front desk staff tried to help her, but it just slowed her down. Some of the bar patrons were extremely rude to her, which killed me to hear and see. She held her own, took time to walk away and take a breather. I commend her for that. Her service to us was great and she thanked us for acknowledging her and just saying "hello" to her when we sat down. Once she came back, some of the bar patrons clapped for her, which was extremely rude, but she kept her calm and stayed professional. When she came back, another bartender finally showed up and helped her out so much and I loved that. I say all that to say, Ashlynne, you were amazing. So good at what you do. Keep being you and Clark & Bourbon is lucky to have you!

Clark and Bourbon in the Loews hotel downtown St. Louis is such a vibe. This place is a staple, especially in the winter when the fireplaces are cranked up, making it so cozy. The whole place is red, giving it this warm and intimate glow. The drinks are excellent--my go-to is always the smoked old-fashioned, and it never misses. It's always a little busy in the best way, buzzing with conversation, and the games are always on. It's the kind of spot where you can just settle in Perfect for drinks, catching up, or just vibing.

Corn ribs. Just get them. Thank me later.

Outstanding service and all around meal. The filet mignon was like butter. The corn ribs had me in a chokehold and their complimentary bread may have a cult following. Beautiful establishment and ambience.

Go Here ! Right by the stadium, Ellis was awesome and directed my wife & I towards some great ideas for our stay in St. Louis. Food & Service was top tier.

No matter if it's for Valentines Day, a solo date, or a girls night out, Clark and Bourbon has got you covered! Between my first week in nursing and my brother having a rough week as well, I decided a sister-brother night out was what we both needed and was long overdue. We started off with lamb empanadas with an aji amarillo aioli (these were James' favorite of the night!), followed closely by the 'oyster lobsterfeller'. This was an appetizer consisting of oysters with lobster, creamed spinach, bacon, beer, and grana padano cheese. This was James and I's first time trying oysters and all we could say was 'wow'! Next up, for the entree we got the Delmonico Ribeye, steakhouse mashed potatoes with bone marrow and mushrooms (my favorite), and the U10 scallops. Scallops were also new for us and James described them as, "if chicken and a sweet cloud had a baby" As soon as we thought we were too full for anything else, a warm fresh gooey butter cake with vanilla bean ice cream, strawberry purée, and pistachio crumbles came out and, to make a long story short, it didn't last long. (We may or may not have ordered a carrot cake for home too) While the food was absolutely divine, the great staff made the whole night one to remember. It was James's first finer dining experience and he hasn't stop raving about it since we left I have a video review on @breakfastatlaurens on Instagram if you want to check it out!

Food was pretty good, service was 100% lacking. When you order a $75 meal you expect someone to at least ask how it is tasting.

I think it is the proper place to sit when dining alone. No need to tie up a larger table for just me. Let the server have a larger party and make a bigger tip. Once I had, The HOB Chop with Truffle Fries and a Caesar Salad. My salad was typical fare, Truffle Fries were crisp on the outside and the inside was hot and fluffy. The star definitely was the chop. It was super tender, juicy and seasoned well. I'd order again. I have also stopped by a couple of times, just for a cocktail and appetizer. Once I ordered the, Prince Edwards Island Mussels with Garlic Bread. I was shocked to see the mussels were prepared out of their shells. It was a nice switch and the side garlic bread was perfect for dipping and scooping up the mussels. The last time I stopped for a Boulavardier, OMG it was delicious and refreshing. I've learned to ask a bartender if they know how to make one, because so many of the young ones do not. This bartender told me it was the owners favorite cocktail, so it definitely knew how to make one. He nailed it. As my appetizer this evening I choose, Calamari. I have never seen such large pieces of Calamari. I breading was light and crisp. I'm not a dipper, so I really didn't try the sauce. I just simply enjoyed the Calamari. The service is attentive as you'd expect at an upscale steakhouse.
