I came here to meet a friend for lunch and literally had the hardest time trying to figure out what I was going to eat. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, because they were all available. The service for lunch hour on a work day was actually pretty quick. I went with the salmon wrap and was completely satisfied. They also let me get fries without an extra charge, holllller. Main takeaway: killer black bean burger! This burger was served with a perfectly melty slice of cheddar, with fresh spinach and tomato piled on top. The chipotle aioli gave it a nice spicy, smoky, creamy kick. The ciabatta bun was so perfectly fresh and soft. Honestly it was the best black bean burger I have ever had. The only way it could have been better was if it had bacon added, but that defeats the point of a black bean burger LOL. I also enjoyed the house-made kettle chips that came on the side. They had lots of seasoning, which I enjoyed. Clark's Fork has lots of beverage options and so I branched out and tried a kind of sparkly beverage from their case called Bai Bubbles. Apparently Lewis & Clark were early foodies. No, really! The quotes from various L&C expeditions are reflections similar to a Yelp review. :) I am impressed with this spot. The place is clean with plenty of seating. There is even a convenient bar at the window with plugs on either side that include USB ports in case you need to charge your laptop, phone, tablet, or pet robot. They have a little nook with toys that makes me think those of you with kiddos might get a respite while enjoying one of the fresh, delicious menu items. So far I have had the club sandwich and the black bean burger. (Don't worry, two separate visits!) Both hit the spot. Amazingly delicious!!! I had the Reuben and it came with a deli pickle and homemade potato chips. Sandwich was so freaking good, I'll be back tomorrow before I fly out of town! Nice place right off Hamilton in Spokane. Good variety of food options between breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Clark's has a bakery with good items such as cinnamon rolls, brownies, etc., a lunch section with sandwiches, a salad bar, and more items for dinner. Lunch chips are homemade, but you can also get fries. There are also a couple soup options near the salad bar. I ordered off of one of the meal service delivery sites. I had the Hot Mess which is biscuits and gravy, two eggs, potatoes and bacon. The biscuits and gravy had very little gravy, it didn't even cover the biscuit. The rest of the meal was ok. So a month or so later I decided to try it again thinking maybe it was just an off day. The counter folks are helpful, and offered menu suggestions. The restaurant is directly across the street from Gonzaga University, obviously geared to students, but welcoming to everyone. A delicious and welcome addition to the neighborhood! Clark's Fork has a large variety of freshly-made soups, sandwiches, and salads in a fast casual setting. Everything looks to be really high quality (homemade potato chips and croutons just show you a little bit of how much work they put into their food). Me and my boyfriend have ate here multiple times, both dining and take out and never have had any issues until recently. After this last trip, we won't be attending this restaurant any more. We had ordered delivery some food from UberEats, my boyfriend ordered a "Hot Mess" and I had ordered a "Create Your Own" sandwich with fries. I added avocado on mine. Once the food got delivered, the items were barely warm. I understand food loses temperature when traveling, but the fries were cold, and soggy. The avocado I received on my sandwich was EXTREMELY uninviting... to say the least, picture is included. I understand that avocados oxidize and they turn a gray-ish color after awhile and they can still be eaten. But this was past the point of being able to be ate. If you look at the picture over three quarters the avocado has oxidized. I called the restaurant and because I ordered through UberEats, I was unable to receive a refund for the sandwich. I've emailed Uber and have yet to get a response. I'm mainly just disappointed in the chef who chose to slice the avocado and place it on the sandwich and SERVE IT. I hope they're more careful with food quality and this is just a rare occurrence. read more

Great food! This is a great little restaurant when you want a home meal without cooking. We luckily found this place across the street from Gonzaga. We had a one trip salad bar with 1/2 sandwich and a drink for $14.99. The salad bar was great with very fresh greens and many things to put on it. Then came the sandwich, nicely toasted and very well made. We had the BLT and the club. Both were great. This place is simple and very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered eggs, bacon and toast with a chai to be delivered. Once I received my order I was given a cinnamon roll and a chai instead. I was hoping they would fix it but every time I call the phone goes straight to voicemail. It doesn't even ring. Dang, this place was pretty bad. I'll be the first to admit that their branding is "on point." They use color, design and art to create a mood and story. You really feel like you're right there beside Second Lieutenant Clark, bouncing through the conifers, sipping on Diet Pepsi, catching a gorgeous sunset over the state emissions inspection station. But that's where the good vibes start and end. Over a 20 minute wait for a couple sandwiches and kid's meals!? The awfulness of the long wait was compounded by sub-par food. Look, it's basically a good hospital cafeteria. Not a great one. But a good one. Items will lazily hit the mark as "food", nothing is outstanding, and you'll come away both a little hungry and slightly annoyed at having been taken for $12. The kid's area was so grimy. And when I say grime, you really have to picture that stuff thick. Just... black gunk matted into the playmats and in all corners, soiled kitchen rags on the floor, dried chunks of matter splattered everywhere etc. Of course I sent my kids in there anyway. To be honest, I'm grateful for the play area but the space needed a real deep clean. Prices are high for the quality and portion. Service is serviceable. Oh, and they have Pepsi on tap. Pepsi! I guess I've turned into some kind of Coke snob but it's just so weird not to have Coke Zero coming at me out of every orifice in the universe. It's a little unsettling and frightening to be honest. I had a business lunch here this past week. It was my first time in the restaurant and I was impressed with how easy the parking was and the nice and modern, yet homey, interior. I had the greenfield, their vegetarian sandwich, with chips. The food came out promptly and staff were friendly. The issues I had with the place were the execution of the food. I'm not sure if my sandwich didn't come out with all of the veggies that were supposed to be on it because I couldn't taste the green onion or the cilantro and there were way too many sprouts. I did like the flavor of the dill havarti cheese though. The biggest disappointment was with the homemade potato chips though. They tasted stale and not crispy. They were hard to eat and chewy. I would have much rather had a bag of premade chips that were the right texture. Overall it's a good spot for a quick and decent bite to eat. Their homemade baked goods looked very tempting. We came in and it was pretty busy. But everyone had their food (i.e. The kitchen shouldn't be backed up anymore). We had to wait 30 minutes for our food (1 sandwich and 1 French toast). In that time, at least 1 other table ordered and was served before us. I asked at 20 minutes and was told 5 more. When our food came I saw that my sandwich had been in the window for 10 minutes. I had the turkey blt, it was fine, but the menu said it had garlic aoili and mayo, there was only mayo on it. My husband had cinnamon roll French toast, which tasted like normal mediocre French toast, and you couldn't taste any cinnamon. He also had a side of scrambled eggs and bacon, which were excellent. He said the eggs were amazing. Overall, the food was okay, but the service was horrible. After 20 minutes we were told that the rush really backed up the kitchen, even though you could see there was no one in the kitchen cooking for a good 5 minutes. read more

I'm not in spokane often, so i went looking for a healthy place to eat and settled on Clark's fork. Appears it hasn't been open long but people seemed to love it. The restaurant was very clean fresh and new with exception of our table needing to be wiped off. Theres a kids play area with toys and a chalkboard. I ordered the chicken salad sandwhich and it was fantastic! Very fresh tasting and came with in house made potato chips. The staff was very friendly and prives are reasonable! I would probably give this 2.5 stars if I could, but between 2 and 3 stars, I'll take the under. I came here at around 4 PM on a Monday and was one of only two tables at the time. I ordered a bacon and cheddar burger, which proudly advertised as featuring "organic, grass-fed MT beef." I sat down, knowing that I was the only order being worked on by the kitchen at that point, and waited... and waited... and waited. I heard one cook ask another "so wait, does this get cheese on it? Don't we always put cheese on burgers?" 20 minutes later, I finally got my burger, served upside-down on ciabatta bread. The patty was placed on the top-side of the bread, which was faced down, and the condiments were stacked on the bottom piece, which then became the top. Sloppy work. The burger itself didn't taste like much -- it was as if it hadn't been seasoned at all. Honestly, a really mediocre burger, that took way too long, and a $10.50 pricetag, I expect much better. Also, it seems very peculiar that the burgers come with chips instead of fries. I'd much prefer french fries, or at least the option to have them. It seems like they're pretty new so maybe they'll improve, but so far, not impressed. read more

They advertise fresh food but have no salads except a salad bar (which of course wasn't available). The cook ended up delivering my food because the cashier had disappeared and it took an extra minute or two to get a napkin, from said rude cashier. Then I ate the food I got. Not every town has a good salad bar, Clark's is great! The casual atmosphere is clean and pleasant, the hosts are smart and nice without being bubbly, I hate perky, lol. We had the soup and salad bar but the sandwiches and pastries looked wonderful, will be coming back.
