I was in the Long Beach for some business and when I arrived at the location, my car door would not shut. In a panic, I searched for a Porche mechanic in Long Beach and found Class Auto Center, Inc. I called and Erik tried to troubleshoot with me on the phone. He was very patient and provided specific things for me to look for. I tried but couldn't fix my car door. I asked Erik to come to my location, he was so nice and helpful. He said he could be there in 15 minutes. In less than 15 minutes, Erik showed up. He introduced himself, was so courteous and professional. In less than 5 minutes, he fixed my car door. I was so relief and asked if I could give him some money, he said no and that he was glad to help. He made my day, I got done with my business in the Long Beach area early enough to get on the road without traffic. I would have been stuck in the area for longer if it wasn't for Erik. Thanks Erik so much for helping out a stranger. I don't live in Long Beach but I'm thinking to take my Porche to Erik for service. read more

Very dissappointed with the way my situation was handled. My car was kept here for two months. I made two car payments and no car! Class auto finally called to tell us the work was done, but since he didn't receive the final payment in his hands, he held my car hostage until he got the check in his hands! The insurance company sent him a copy of the final check so he would release my car, but he refused. Why would you take that out on me? I had to rent a car for a week while we waited on the check to reach his hands! Again, I was inconvenienced. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Never! read more

Took my tesla to class auto center and picked up my car today Dec. 31, 2015. It took 11 weeks to repair my car which is unheard of. They kept blaming tesla for not giving them the parts. So if you own a tesla and need it repaired, I don't recommend this shop unless you're okay being without a car for 3 months. The manager, Ted, wasn't even there when I picked up the car to apologize or anything. I think they felt like they were doing me a favor by repairing my car. So class auto recently became this preferred body shop, one of the only few for State Farm Insurance and I thought why not they must be good. This was a very bad mistake, they focus on fixing high end sports car and I brought in my Toyota, so I think they are just are careless if my sticker price is under 50K. They took 10 days to fix my car, who takes a week and half to fix a bumper. When I received my car back, something funny was happening and I had to get my car jumped 5 minutes after I picked it up, which was the first of two times in one night. Later that night, I was driving in the neighborhood and my car suddenly turns off, this could potentially have been really dangerous if I was around alot of cars. Class(Less) Auto definitely had something to do with this because this wasn't happening when I dropped it off. Sure enough the rich boys club over there on Cherry and Spring did not own up to the fact they did anything wrong with my car, which could have caused me to be in a potential dangerous situation. It is really hard to prove that they did something but I had this car for almost ten years and alot of other mechanics worked on it, and nothing of this sort has happened. To this day the cars electrical system is not working properly. DO NOT TAKE your car to Class Auto in Long Beach, especially if you have State Farm Insurance. P.S. State Farm if your reading this take them off your preferred vendors list!! read more

Mercedes of Long Beach referred me to Class Auto for work to be done after damage to my front end. This decision I now regret, but used Class Auto because I trusted my dealership. Class Auto gave me the run around well after they were fully compensated by my insurance company. The work on my front end had not been completed for 3 months and would have been longer had I not threatened getting my lawyer involved. The workers I dealt with at Class Auto were unprofessional and downright rude. I do not recommend this shop to anyone, and for those of you recommended by Mercedes to use them, BEWARE! read more

Hilarious! Yelp lets businesses remove bad reviews? Make sure you look at the removed reviews not the ratings. I took my car here and was quoted a ridiculous price and given the run around when I decided to not do the work with them. Then they didn't want to reassemble the car! After they finally put it back together I had to make them do it twice because of the half assed work- loose screws in the engine, a flap that took 2 seconds to connect that could have damaged the tire. I cant believe this is the shop Long Beach BMW sends repairs to. Oh, did I mention the run around they gave me cost 60$ a day in storage? I don't mind paying for quality, I do however mind being taken advantage of. Don't take your car here. read more

I have use Class Auto since 1995. They will not cut corners and will fight for you with the insurance carriers. Class auto is far from being inexpensive but if you own a BMW, MBZ or a Porsche they are the auto body repair facility which is certified and qualified to perform work on the higher end vehicles. I have a Jeep. It gets dirty all the time. Literally, I can run into Starbucks and 5 seconds later come outside and it looks like my truck just crossed the Kalahari. Which means I always need to keep it clean. I probably bathe my car more than myself, and I'm OCD. *ahem...LADIES* Anyway, I was visiting the parents who wanted to see that I have a spotless car. It helps distract from the overall schlubiness of the rest of my life. Which means the Jeep needed to be detailed. I literally looked everywhere for a decent detailing service, from the foo-foo ones at the mall where you park and they detail-while-you-shop (SO beverly hills) to the sketch ones where you hand the dude your keys and your car disappears, likely permanently. Eventually, I took it to Class per a recommendation from a close friend. "It...had...BETTER...be...good!" I huffed, considering I don't live conveniently close to LB ("the LB?" "Long B?" "L'Beach?") Boy, did this place blow my house down. The service was super friendly and courteous, which was really unexpected versus the gruff, blase grease-monkey service I'm used to at local wash/detail places I dropped off my mechanical child and was recommended local restaurants close by where I could grab a bite (coming in a subsequent review!) and sure enough, it was done on time. When I showed my parents, their initial reaction was shock. "HOW much did you spend on this?!" It was that good of a detail. Oh, parents. Can't live with em, will throw yourself into a dirt hole screaming "LAWD TAKE ME INSTEAD" when you realize you have to live without em. I was able to get a detail and pay for lunch and still spend less than I usually do when someone drives my car through a gas station car wash and takes an hour to do so, which is how details *usually* go with my truck. Class is the best--and now I can't wait to get my off-roader dirty again so I can come back. read more

Superb workmanship, value, courtesy, cleanness, attention to detail, honesty, professionalism, and friendly personnel (particularly, Kent, Ted, and the receptionist lady). I just picked my car last month after yet another repair at Class Auto Center. As always before, it was in like new condition, in and out. The repair and paint were flawless, and the car was perfectly clean -- even had the new car smell, inside. They did all the paperwork needed for my insurance (AAA) so that I did not have to lift a finger, not even to see a AAA adjustor. Took my 4runner here, it was on approved list through State Farm insurance. They do great work. It took about a week to get fixed, which is what they quoted. Not the friendliest of staff, but to me that doesn't matter too much--its the quality of work that matters. Not to say they were rude, because they were not! I brought my car here because it was a Mercedes Benz certified shop but what a terrible experience. As some of the other reviews here indicate, this shop is known for price gauging. They also do terrible work. My car some minor damage on the passenger door and side panel and after leaving there for about 3 weeks, they called me to say it was ready. I inspected the car and right away noticed that the door was closing right, i had to slam the door before it closed properly. Not only did they not alert me that this was an issue but they tried to say that it was the seal and they I needed to give it time to "let the seal set in". I knew that wasn't it but they (even the manager) assured me it was the seal and that the problem will be correct itself and if not, i can bring the car back, which was not the point. After charging my insurance 4K , the job should have been done right in the first place. This shop is a Mercedes Benz shop, how can they not notice this issue, didn't they inspect it before calling me saying it was all ready? I had to point out the issue for them. Again terrible service. I bring my car back weeks later because the issue has not resolved itself. Now they tell me, "it's not the seal but the hinge might be misaligned, we had asked your insurance for this repair but they didn't authorize so we are going to contact them again, wth...seriously. After much hassle, they did fix the problem. Do not bring your care here, not only do they overcharge for repairs but they do a poor job. read more

BEWARE!!!! What a racket! I'm am single woman who brought my car to get an insurance estimate. The mechanic assigned to me seemed like a nice trustworthy person. (Good front) He told me my car was not safe to drive and I should leave it with there while he negotiated terms with my insurance company (which he prepped me....would take a while). My car was there for the weekend and Christmas week. They did no work, at all. They didn't even give their own estimate. But, they quickly said they would not guarantee their work because of this or that reason. I told him, since they would not certify their work, I would like to bring my car to another shop. The service manager, Tedd, responded "That is fine as long as you pay $1,000 in CASH for "storing" your car here. What the?? They had not even looked at the car or done any work at all. And, on top of that, they were not open on the weekend or the holiday week.. But, still charging me to "store" it these days?!!!! WHA??? Bunch of thieves. read more

This place sucks! We brought our car in for a repainted job of the rear bumper. A month later, they didn't even finish the job. They charged over $4,800. And worst of all, my Mercedes was missing its rear spoiler. When we asked about it, they tried to change the subject, and then they admitted that they could find the part. That was totally a scam. We paid for the new spoiler and the installation fee, and ended up with no spoiler. Do not go to this place! Or you'll be regretting. What a scam! read more

Getting in a car accident is a traumatic experience in itself..... my last experience with the previous body shop I used was a nightmare so I crossed my fingers hoping this experience was much better and thankfully it was. I was referred to Class Auto from a friend who swears by them so I trusted her and my experience was nothing short of amazing. I was having issues coordinating the drop off with my car so they were courteous enough to actually come to my house to pick up my car. I couldn't believe the service they provided me. They kept me completely in the loop the entire time. Both Israel and Johnny were so great at letting me know how everything was going. When I came to pick up my car it was perfect. They detailed it better than anyone has ever done and it was done exactly in the amount of time they initially had estimated. Everyone who works there is so friendly. I will definitely be referring them customers and if I ever have any issues with my car in the future I, 100% hands down will be going there. read more

Very impressed! I crashed my 2006 Mercedes e350 and my mechanic recommended Class Auto and said they do all body work for the Long Beach Mercedes dealer. The first two places I had initially called endorsed themselves by saying, "Uhhhh, ya...we have a couple of (Mercedes) before" which left me screaming for the hills and into the hands of a shop that was actually certified. I worked almost exclusively with Ted, who was fantastic. I was a little uneasy when they initially didn't contact me for 24hrs after the tow truck driver dropped off my car and Class Auto wasn't sure who I was, but everything after that was perfect. The car literally looks brand new after having nearly $10,000 damage to it. It's been 2 weeks and the car continues to run perfectly, and looks brand new. When I arrived to pick it up (right when they promised it would be ready, too), Ted even took me into their garage to show me a couple similar cars and further explain what they did to restore my baby back to its original condition. They even detailed it, so the car was absolutely immaculate and smelled of fresh shampoo from all the carpet treatment they had done on the inside when I picked it up. The office was clean, professional, and the staff was helpful. In fact, they even called me a couple days afterward simply to check in and ask if I was happy and how the car was running. All in all, if anything (God forbid) were to happen again, I would definitely take it here. There are many situations in life where shopping around for cheapest prices is a good idea but, when you need your car fixed properly, this is NOT one of those situations. THIS is the place to go to for professional and legitimate work which, in turn, will save you interminable headaches down the road. Recently got a large scratch on the bumper on my 2013 Toyota Prius. I called Class Auto Center and Steve Vreeken picked up the phone. Steve was friendly and helpful. I left my car at the shop and Steve drove me home and also offered to pick me up if I needed a ride back to the auto center when the car was ready. Steve called me during the week the car was in the shop to tell me a new part needed to be ordered and offered to cover the cost. I paid for the part and Steve said that he would have my car detailed instead, wash, wax etc. The repair was excellent and car looked like it did the first day I bought it. Thank You! read more

Was given incorrect information and now they want me to pay for it (storage fees for the time wasted due to this incorrect info given to me by 2 representatives from their shop)!!! No follow-through (did not send in info to insurance like supposed to and said they did), no ownership (was told they don't care if I was given wrong information), total runaround (told one thing by one person, another by someone else--no one can give me a straight answer), and they want me to pay cash only??? Tom is horrible to work with! Very pushy, aggressive and intentionally misleads you trying to get as much cash from you as possible. Eric, the general manager, does not take responsibility for what his employees say/do (or say and NOT do). Check BBB and yahoo reviews--several complaints from others as well. If I could give them a lower rating I would. Please know this is even after they tell their past customers if they give them a positive review they will give them a full detail on their car. However, I would not wish this on my anyone. I wish I would have checked the reviews previous to taking my car here. The only reason I did take my car here was because this is where Long Beach Mini suggested. Huge mistake. It took them over 6 months to repair my car! I ended up having to pay for a rental car. In addition, they changed the technician dealing with repairing and dealing with my car 3 times. On the second time, and three weeks later they never informed me nor followed through with the paperwork. They have no sense of urgency. In the end, they left my car sitting there with bird shit for six months and offered to repaint it and make me pay for the decals. They tried to make it right, but making me come out of my pocket for their mistake upon everything else was not impressive. Did I mention I found my car unlocked too! It was a complete nightmare! When people get in accidents at my office the first advice I say is don't go to Class Auto!!! read more
