Class Auto Center is a class act. If you have a high end auto that needs body work I highly recommend Erik Sumen's (General Manager) team. On Nov 30 I purchased Porsche Boxster. On Dec 1 an in-duh-vidual backed half a mile down a parking aisle and t-boned my car striking it directly on the hinge pin of the driver's door. I had had the car less than 24 hours. I took it back to the dealer and got a preliminary estimate from their body shop. Then I stopped at another dealer and they recommended Class Auto. I drove by the Class Auto shop and was placed in the expert hands of Tom Nachreiner. Tom and I discussed the repair process and together we contacted my insurance (State Farm) to begin the repair process. The front fender had to come off in order to assess the damage, which soon showed that the door hinge had pushed in the frame member right at the front driver pillar. State Farm then started to screw me over big time. They nickled and dimed claiming Class charged too much per hour. State Farm recommended just putting the vehicle on a frame bender and start yanking it into position. Working with Tom we went through te entire Porsche Approved Collision Center process with State Farm and finally convinced them of the need to follow Porsche procedures to repair the vehicle to OEM standards. However, State Farm would not agree to the hourly rates. This took three weeks of dicking around with State Farm - and Tom patiently worked it every day for those three weeks acting as an ombudsman on my behalf. We finally gave up on State Farm - they were just not going to repair the vehicle to Porsche standards. So we went after the insurance of the woman who hit me and had admitted 100% fault to the police and to her insurance company. Anchor General insurance company then came out and inspected the vehicle and prepared an estimate consistent with Class Auto's estimate and repairing the vehicle to Porsche standards. So after about 20 days they finally have go ahead to start repairs. By this time Class is ready to go and things happened fast. When additional damage showed up on the alignment machine, Tom called me immediately and had me come over to see what additional work was required. Throughout the entire process, Tom remained this island of calm fighting two insurance companies, getting the work done, and reassuring me. Finally the repairs were done and the results look fantastic. The body panels flowed smoothly into one another, the colour matching was perfect, the gaps and seams around the panels were all uniform and even. The car was spotless inside and out. That week we drove up to Napa and Sonoma wine tasting and the car tracked perfectly, the alignment was perfect, and the steering nice and tight. It was a perfect repair and the throaty rumble of the flat six boxer engine filled my garage. In the interim the insurance companies were still jerking me around and Tom and Erik continued to provide solid advice and support on how to recoup my money from both companies and the under insured in-duh-vidual that hit me. I highly recommend Class Auto Center for any upscale vehicle: they are certified repair shops for Audi, Porsche and Mercedes Benz and back it up with excellent, friendly, and available customer service. FOLLOW UP - about a month later I took a Porsche Club of America High Performance Driving School. Skid pad, high speed slalom, accident avoidance, sliding through corners at 60 mph on an autocross course. Everyone there was driving Porsche's from 914s to the latest 911 GT3 RS. Not one person could spot the body work nor could the tech inspection required before participating detect any problems with the frame or chassis. The car handled perfectly through everything the driving school threw at it and that includes me spinning it out about 5 times. The body and frame work done by Class Auto is perfect, runs great, feels great, and looks great. Excellent job. read more

It is a mistake to listen to your car dealer to take your car here. NOTE! Don't take your car here if you want to be ripped off from Tom (estimator) or Ray (owner). Not only will they overcharge you for a "quality" repair, he'll report your car to CARFAX!!! So you'll find that they'll report your car having a "diminished value" and as being fixed for thousands of dollars through them. Good luck trading in your car after taking it to this place. Another note, I paid $2500 in fees to pull my Audi back from them to get fixed through another body shop that was more ethical than this one. Classless Auto was so kind to leave my car in parts and pieces. read more

Please run from this repair shop. Save yourself the stress and anger of dealing with these people. This repair shop has had my car for 2 1/2 months. They dragged their feet and always had an excuse for why my car was not ready. Kent more specifically was a nightmare to deal with and had a general apathy toward my situation. He does not seem to care one bit that I was paying out of pocket for more than a month for a rental car, and took his time with my car. Kent you are actually doing this repair shop and the people who come for help a great disservice. Even after my insurance company issued the check, he was going to force me to wait until the check actually arrives to the shop before I was able to pick my car up. As with any car insurance company they will tell you this is completely out of the ordinary, and I'm covered by a very reputable car insurance company. Thank God, the supervisor Luis intervened and informed Kent I would not need to wait. Please do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else. Read the reviews a great deal of them mention Kent specifically.  None positive.  I wish I read the reviews before I brought my car there. But I trusted the dealer when they recommended bringing my car there for collision repair. Please take your car elsewhere, unless you're ok with your car sitting for 2 1/2 months, dealing with a shitty and apathetic estimator (Kent), unreturned phone calls, and more. Also, if you're a woman, be prepared to be given excuse after excuse and the run around. You will not get any results until you have a man speak on your behalf when dealing with Kent. I'm an educated Nurse professional and certainly know how to articulate myself, but, I didn't feel like I was being taken seriously or treated as an individual until a male representative mediated. Thank you to Luis again, but I couldn't wait to be done with this place. My whole experience was just reprehensible, and for that I blame Kent Garland 100%. read more

Caveat: I did not pay for my repairs. Thank you, USAA. Class took pretty great care of me and, more importantly, my car that had been assaulted by a minivan when it was less than a year old. They took care of the insurance details for me, set me up with the rental car place and returned my car to me looking brand new. That missing star is because it did take them a good two weeks longer than quoted to get me my car back. Luckily, I didn't care too much because USAA was paying for my rental car. As they say, socal/OC drivers have auto insurance... and they're not afraid to use it! After someone backed into my parked A5 (ugh, Prius drivers..AMIRITE?!), I was determined to have repairs completed by an Audi certified repair center, and submitted a couple online RFQs to centers in the area. Ted from Class Auto replied quickly and was flexible (unlike other places) in allowing me to bring in my vehicle for an in-person estimate. Everything was pretty easy. Updated repair estimates were sent via email and authorized over phone or email. Only thing was the repairs took longer than expected, and I kept having to check in since I got very few updates unless they needed me to sign something. However, I am THOROUGHLY impressed with the quality of work. My car looks better than before the collision; They also checked alignment, dealer check, etc.. and the paint job is fantastic. Great attention to detail. I didn't have any issues with pricing since everything was handled through insurance, and Ted had given me a pretty accurate estimate upfront. Nothing was missing from my car (I left some Yelp tissues in the middle console!), and the interior was clean. I've never really been pleased with an auto repair shop until now! Usually it's like a DMV experience... you're just happy it's over. Barring any issues that may arise in the future, I would HIGHLY recommend this body shop if you have a German/luxury car. (1-star deducted for the completion deadline being pushed out multiple times, and my needing to follow-up every week.) THINGS TO KNOW They love repairing German cars. I found myself having to use their services again due to a piece tire that hit the front of my car while I was on the 405. There was some miscommunication in the beginning because they were super busy, but after we were able to straighten out the issues they were able to meet my needs and even went above and beyond to provide me with top quality service and customer service. I just had such a great experience with Israel at Class auto. I had a minor run in with a parking pole and popped out my front bumper so I search for auto shops that are certified to fix teslas and found Class. When I called, they told me to come on over so they could check it out. When I got there Israel took a look and said he could fix it in 10 minutes. The shocker is that he did fix it in less than ten minutes including buffing out the scuffs in the clear coat. The bigger shocker is that he didn't charge me! When I thanked him profusely he just smiled and said"no problem, it was easy" I haven't dealt with a lot of body shops but I can't imagine that it is this easy elsewhere. I hope I never need to, but I will definitely bring my tesla here if I need any body work done. read more

A bicyclist-fool fell into the driver's side of my brand new Audi S5, making long scratches through the clear coat and two dents. I called Circle Audi of Long Beach where I bought the car and asked for a recommendation. They said Class as they are "Audi certified". The appointment was easy to make and the guy did the walk-around, explaining the damage and process to repair. Cars basically have to be ripped apart and windshields have to be removed for this repair. He said it would be a lot of work and expensive. He estimated between $4000-6000 in repairs. The amount made me ill. But, I needed my car fixed and I trusted Circle Audi since I had a good experience with them. An employee was going to drive me home, about 25 minutes from the auto center. I was in a mad rush to remove my belongings (yes, I should have done this prior to arriving) and forgot my iTouch in the glove box and to lock my glove box. I didn't remember until days later when the car was ready. The car looked great. When I turned it on, the radio was blasting to a station I don't listen to. When I got home, the odometer reading was higher than needed for the drive between the auto center and the dealership where the clear coat was also reapplied and the iTouch was gone. Of course. I called them and they said they would ask around and that I should have called them to hold the iTouch for me. Yeah, really?? You think?? The final repair cost was $4500 but they would not reimburse me for the iTouch which their tech stole. While the actual work was good (too pricey), I cannot recommend anyone to a bunch of thieves. read more

I found this place on here and figured since the Porsche club guy liked it so much it was certainly good enough for my $100k BMW. Boy was I wrong. I am thrilled about the workmanship and service I received. Someone sideswiped my Mercedes E350 on the side in the rear. Mario Escalante held my hand from estimate to pickup. He explained all the work that had to be done. The lady who hit me paid out if pocket instead if using her insurance. I did get one other estimate, but I went with this authorized Mercedes repair shop to guarantee the work would be done right. I dropped my car off Tuesday at 11 and it was ready Thursday at 4:30 just like Mario promised. He also pointed out a nice size ding in my door. He said they contract that work out and it could be pulled out for $75 which I agreed to do. They cleaned my car inside and out, more like a detail. The wax they used looks great. This shop never return calls nor do they make any contact or give updates. Dropped a vehicle with them for over a month and no one ever called until I had to call to find out whats happening. My car eventually got picked up by another shop to repair. This same shop also repaired another vehicle for a dissatisfied customer too. They lost parts taken off the vehicle and will not assume responsibility. Be warned. Don't take your vehicle there. You will be sorry you did. Unfortunately, I am a return customer because I was involved in my second car accident in less than a year. The last time Class Auto made my Audi Q5 look like brand new. In fact, they detailed every corner of my Audi from front to back. They had to repair my entire front end and I was so concerned that it wouldn't be perfect when I picked it up. Referred to this shop by the dealership, but received horrible customer service. The initial intake of my information was speedy and I was able to reach services agents via phone and email. I was given an expected return on services within a normal time period, after explaining that I would be dropping my car off while I was out of town. They assured me that it would be plenty of time. After a week of having my car in the shop, I reached out via email while overseas with no response on the status of my vehicle. Returned home on a Monday, when my car was expected to be ready for pick up, only to find out that my car service had not been completed and that my insurance agent had not approved the cost of damages. After reaching out to my insurance agent, I was informed that my insurance agent had not been contacted for an approval and that this was classic behavior from this shop, extending wait times and the estimated times did not account for the purposeful two-week delay due to a back- log of work. A week goes by and I reach out to the auto shop for an updated on my vehicle. At this time, the front office of the shop refuses to give out any information without directing me to the adjuster. An individual by the name of Isreal, who was assigned to the service of my vehicle, contacted me a few hours later. This individual was rude and unprofessional, claiming that he would not fix a "screw" on my car until he received "his money" for the services. And that if I was not satisfied, my car was washed and ready for pick up. He explained that my insurance company had yet to approve the cost of the vehicle after requesting more evidence. After a weeks lapse in time, I asked him why had I not been contacted with any delay or progress on my vehicle. Isreal explained that him contacting me was not of importance and the fact still remained that he would not fix my car until "he" was paid. Contacted my insurance agent again and was informed that an initial estimated of $1500 had escalated to $5300 once in the shop for superficial body damage. He explained that this was textbook price gouging, usual of the shop in his experience. Overall experience, would be a zero if that rating was available. My car has been in their shop for 3 weeks without any repairs besides a car wash, which seems like efforts of stalling and price gouging. Terrible service read more

When I needed to find a body shop to repair damage on my 2015 911 Turbo S caused by flying debris, I asked the management at my Porsche dealer in Long Beach (my favorite) and I read online reviews. If you're looking for feedback from a previous customer, please read on for details about my terrific experience at Class Auto in Long Beach. Our car is GT Silver and I had always dreaded having any body work done because I thought that matching a metallic silver color would be impossible. The repaired sections match the rest of the car exactly!! The color is perfect and the degree of metallic flake is perfect. Furthermore, there is absolutely no evidence that there was any metal work on the panels that had been damaged with scratches and a gouge/dent. BWTM: I live in Newport Beach. Class Auto made dropping the car off and picking it up very easy. The work was done quickly and faster than I had expected. Work began as soon as the car was dropped off and I was sent an email with photos showing the work in progress. Great customer satisfaction wasn't limited to an excellent car repair. There is a nice employee culture at Class Auto as I observed among managers, office staff and body shop employees. After meeting the owner, my main contact was Bobby, a manager at Class Auto. He was great and I appreciated the opportunity to work with someone very knowledgeable about cars and racing and who took a personal interest in assuring that the repair was perfect. For a car guy like me, having confidence in a repair shop is important. Very rude service. Was rear ended in a car accident and was bringing car to the location my insurance company recommended. Called Class Auto the Friday before to assure the process would be smooth. I was told that I can bring the vehicle in Monday and everything would be fine. Came to drop off my car at lunch time. The receptionist was very unfriendly. She told me that " We only service imports." I told her I was referred by my insurance company. She then got on the phone and called someone who confirmed what she said. I said, " Maybe you should inform the insurance company, so they won't make this error again." She said, " Oh, they already know." Well apparently not. I can understand errors are made. CLASS is an absolutely topnotch operation. They're expensive, but they do flawless work. I've been taking my Mercedes' there for almost 20 years and have always been pleased with both the service and - most importantly to me - the incredible quality of the work they do. Those who gave CLASS negative reviews seem to have several common denominators: 1.) They were unwilling or unable to pay for the quality of work CLASS does, 2.) They were unhappy with the fact that this body shop has standards that it will not compromise to rush a job to completion and 3.) CLASS works with stubborn insurance companies as a service to its clients. The shop is ALWAYS overwhelmed with work, so your stubborn insurance company is actually a pain in the neck for them. To you who gave negative reviews: It's OK to be on a budget. Just accept that CLASS is not a shop that does budget work. Don't slam the shop because it's not what you want it to be. It's a place where one can take ones car knowing that one will pay a fair price for absolutely flawless work. There are other body repair shops that do bad-to-OK-to-good work for less. If you don't demand an absolutely flawless product, be OK with doing business with those shops. read more

Love this huge high class place!!! I would bring my cars here, this business was my second place to bring my car for another estimate and insurance claim with my Allstate Insurance vandalism claim. Kent was awesome, he was dealing with the insurance company and tried to have them repair my car but Allstate ended up totaling the car due to a 9K paint job, Lexus of Cerritos Collision Center had a similar estimate and informed me the bill would be around 11K out the door. Ted Sanders the manager gave me a call and said he tried his best to have Allstate repair my car. Ted did not bill me for the tear down, he worked it out with me, and let me walk away without a bill and storage fees. Nothing but high end cars goes here. I've seen Tesla, Porches, Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, Hummers, Ferrari, Lambos, Range Rovers, etc... these cars come to this business for a reason. This place is not for bullsh*t workmanship or Mickey Mouse sh*t. I would definitely bring my high end cars here if I ever need work done. The two buildings are enormous for a Autobody repair shop. If u ever have to take ur car to a body shop for repairs after an accident do not take it to CLASS AUTO in the city of Long Beach on cherry st they are a complete rip off they jerked me around like an idiot for a month saying they would convince Sate Farm to pay for certain procedures that needed to be done per MBZ standards all lies in the end they refused to fix my car n turned around and charged me $1907 to give me my car back not fixed and in pieces I had to get a tow truck to pull my car out of there in pieces cuz the $1900 did not cover putting it back together....now my car is at a State Farm Shop which should fix it soon I hope now I'm kicking myself in the ass cuz I should have done that from the get go.....The only reason why it has one star is because I can't put none read more

After 4 months of repair of a simple frontal accident, with supposedly using original Porsche parts, Class Auto could not perfectly align the hood of the 911. I had to return for another adjustment. Didn't they see the misalignment before giving the car back to me? Quality control was blatantly ignored. The parts were not special order to take this long. My hunch was that they give priority work to their bigger dealership customers. As a business, I understood these priorities. But the repair was not perfect, which is furiously disappointing. At the end, the hood had a small bump on the seam. Makes you wonder if they used original Porsche parts. Could also be the reason they are not triple A accredited. Nonetheless, recommended by Circle Porsche. The computer was not working properly as well when I picked up the car. Supposedly they have given the car to Circle Porsche to reset the computer and check the car to put back to factory specification. Did they? I think Circle Porsche did not give proper attention to my car as well. My insurance, Triple A paid about $29K to Class Auto. Again this was a simple frontal accident. But the repair was not perfect. Dissatisfaction! And Circle Porsche resetting to factory specification did not give my car the proper time and attention to do it correctly as well. read more

I was in the Long Beach for some business and when I arrived at the location, my car door would not shut. In a panic, I searched for a Porche mechanic in Long Beach and found Class Auto Center, Inc. I called and Erik tried to troubleshoot with me on the phone. He was very patient and provided specific things for me to look for. I tried but couldn't fix my car door. I asked Erik to come to my location, he was so nice and helpful. He said he could be there in 15 minutes. In less than 15 minutes, Erik showed up. He introduced himself, was so courteous and professional. In less than 5 minutes, he fixed my car door. I was so relief and asked if I could give him some money, he said no and that he was glad to help. He made my day, I got done with my business in the Long Beach area early enough to get on the road without traffic. I would have been stuck in the area for longer if it wasn't for Erik. This car shop really took care of my needs. I contacted them for a quote on a scratch on the side of my car. They immediately took me in without an appointment and provided me with a quote. On the day I took my car in they provided me with shuttle service back home and contacted me when my car was done. When I picked up my car they had it parked up front and even gave it a rinse. read more
