    Single pancake $4
    Cin-Yee S.

Very fun to sit in the sparkly pearlescent pink booths, listen to oldies, and admire the decor. I love diners and always want to check them out especially for breakfast and burgers. My French toast (two halves) was the standard Sysco or Krusteaz, but nicely griddled on the flat top, and eggs and bacon were done right. I also ordered a single pancake because I like crispy pancake edges and generally leave the pancake middle (admittedly, this is not normal behavior). This time I basically left the whole pancake. Will have to come back and try the lunch items. Service was wonderful, and not just to me (I was very impressed with the server's patience as this elderly woman tried to brag that she was "fluent" in Spanish and wanted to order and converse in a language for which she did not have the words for things like "decaf," "another plate," or "check." Her Spanglish had me rolling my eyes internally but the server was kind, supplied all the missing words, and played along.).

Props to the chef. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. It was amazing. Simply not overdone. Liquidy. Perfection. The sauce was excellent. Can't say enough about the hash browns as well. Perfection. Nicely browned where it needed to be. Some crispy, some not. Just the way it should be. The coffee was nice and strong. The service was quite excellent. Attentive, but not overly. Atmosphere was pleasant. Typical of a busy diner. Be back soon!!!

I don't know how pre-scrambled egg product, canned gravy (possibly a mix) and spongy food service biscuits resemble a 50s diner but here we are. I'll just talk about what was good. The bacon was great - irregularly shaped bacon slices perfectly rendered with chewy and crispy parts. The single pancake I ordered for my girlfriend was excellent. I loved the malty background flavor. Atmosphere was "worn". Service was excellent. I won't be back but if you dine here, maybe get a short stack with bacon?

50's style diner. Enjoy your meal with music from the 50's playing at a low volume in the background. Had linguica, eggs and country potatoes.Restaurant is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Food was delicious and service very good.

Great place to get breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee very good. Service excellent. And not too crowded. You get your food fast. I give this place a 5 stars.

Hello, 50's diner is a hit if you love Americana and Mexican cuisine. They have a menu that has classic dishes like pigs in a blanket, or chorizo and eggs just to name a few. They have lunch items that are a favorite and are full of fresh ingredients. They have a well rounded menu, that will delight your appetite, and the service that is on par too. If you love the 50's classic music and retro flare you will dig this diner. We enjoyed pigs in a blanket which was a huge dish that you could share. Hamburger and fries, our milkshake was creamy and sweet. Give them a try for some diner fair in Fremont.

This spot has a super friendly staff, and attentive. The food was great. They had a green salsa WOW. That is a must have on your plate. A solid 4.7 in my books. I need to tr a few more things on the menu. Updates incoming.

Pretty good parking. Definite diners vibe, diner tables and seats, photos of actors and cars and locals. It gets pretty packed but the flow is pretty good so you're not waiting long. Once you come, you seat yourselves. We only found tables that were just vacated but someone came over quickly to clean it up for us. They are always coming around to fit your coffee mug. There wasn't really a kids menu that we saw in case you're coming with kids. You could always do a bunch of sides though. They've got a senior citizens menu. Food was great. Big portions. The cornbeef hash is made in the style I like. It was delicious! Pancakes were nice and fluffy. The aisles are pretty tight so not necessarily that accessible, but they do have tables outside that are accessible. You go up to the counter to pay. Love this local staple.

    French Toast was so delicious

Love coming to this establishment with my gal. Food is cooked the way you would want it always tasty and scrumptious. Will I be back you know I will probably next week. See ya there

My boyfriend and I like coming here when we're running errands in the Fremont area. The service here is really good! They are very friendly and your food comes out quicker than other diners for sure! The quality of the food is also great however the last time I came here I tried their French toast & I felt like it was missing more cinnamon & egg. We also decided to dine outdoors as the weather was nice and since they had tables outside with umbrellas which was convenient but we noticed that the table was very dusty. (Not sure if they probably forgot to clean it that day since not everyone dines outside.)

I've been here a few times already, but heard that this restaurant has been here for a long while now. The vibes inside the place gives me the 80s look since they used furniture that are more classical. It is a small restaurant, but also serve good food. The service is top notch since the staff are able to serve me food quicker more than I expected. The pancakes taste good especially the sausage. Also like the other food too. I don't think I had lunch there before, but next time I come back, I'll have lunch there.

The food came in what felt like a few minutes after we ordered and everything was hot and comforting. I ordered the country fried steak which comes with toast, potatoes and eggs your way. The gravy was so smooth and done well, the potatoes are sweetened which was interesting. The only reason this wasn't a 5 star for me was the country fried steak wasn't the tastiest, it was okay but the best that I've had in terms of texture and seasoning. I am very opened to returning to try their omelette. Portions are big here.

step foot in country way and you'll have your patriotism (or any remainder of it after the past…read moreyear) tested. it reeks of cigarettes and buttcheeks and the dishes presented look like all american slop. does it taste good? no! but in some ways you'll rediscover your love of america right in this little establishment. it's the place of memories, whether you want to reminisce or create new ones. this is the place you go when you're hungover, or when you're a broke teenager looking for a place to loiter with your massive friend group (there's only two girls, you have a crush on one of them, she's probably gay), or when you come back from a trip abroad in a country that does not have enough grease in their local cooking. you come to celebrate your 95 year old grandma's birthday (by the way she doesn't remember your name), and to go out with your football team (apparently your team has done well this season; coach naively offers to treat, so everyone except coach orders three dishes each and complains of hunger an hour after eating), and to meet up with random friends of your parents (you didn't even know they existed, and they spend an hour commenting on the following: your height, love life, and college applications). either way you want some cheap, easy, horrible food. you choke down your dish that's got oil puddles on the side and mysterious radioactive sauces because the portions are huge and binge eating is nigh. you save half, or a quarter, or maybe none of your dish for later, knowing that you will most definitely forget about the leftovers and trash them when they turn moldy. this is a true diner - arguably one of the most waffle house-esque establishments in fremont, and thus a quintessential american experience. you have to live it to understand it all: the questionably quick service, the servers stacking full plates on one arm, the pile of smuckers jam on every table, the chattering in multiple languages, and most importantly the trashy food. so would i encourage you to come here? ideally not at all! you will be disappointed beyond measure. but if you're like me and disillusioned with your american-ness you can come here and renew your patriotism. 3 stars for the experience.

The Bravo omelet was super soft and fluffy, loaded with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, and bacon--really fresh and not heavy at all. Luckily there was no line at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Rating Breakdown: 1/2 Stars for Taste -- The menu is HUGE and it was difficult to pick just one thing to order. I ended up choosing the Tio Pancho because I can never resist biscuits and gravy. The scramble itself was good, I'm a big fan of their chorizo as it's not overpoweringly sour/tangy like some other places. It was also mild enough that my kids were able to try a little. I opted for the hash browns which added a nice crispiness into the mix. I would actually skip the biscuits and gravy next time -- the biscuits are on the cake-y side and the gravy is a bit bland. My husband ordered the Mexican chicken fried steak. The steak itself was also bland, but it was fine paired with the chorizo and sauce on top. Their hashbrowns are crispy on the outside but made thick with a more mushy inside, not our favorite. My husband's sunny side eggs were also a bit underdone, the egg whites were still runny. We were both fans of the salsa that came on the side. For the kiddos, we got one pancake. We're glad we only got one because it was literally the same size as the dinner plate it came on. It was super fluffy and thiccccc, just how I love it. It was also not too sweet by itself so I felt less bad about giving it to the kiddos. I would say the dishes are served "rustic", it's not the most instagrammable if that matters to you, but it is a mountain of food and a veritable feast. 1/1 Stars for Value -- It's about $20 per entree and the serving sizes are humongous. Definitely enough to share or take home as leftovers. Coffee was $4 but it was actually good coffee, not the watery stuff diners sometimes serve. It only cost $3.95 to upgrade the side of toast to a pancake, which is a steal...I mean, why wouldn't you do it? 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- The food came out unbelievably quickly. We literally said "That can't be it" when we saw them bringing it over. This place is optimized for efficiency -- everything from seating, serving, coffee refills, to bringing the bill was streamlined yet not rushed. Bonus star because we would come back when we are craving brunch. We would come early to avoid the lines.

The food was good and reasonably priced, but the space and ambiance wasn't what we hoped it would be. Another downside is the parking lot. There are so many shops in one small plaza, they didn't plan enough parking spaces for customers. We noticed people having to park in the plaza next door, which I wasn't sure if we were allowed to do. So we just had to drive around the plaza and find whatever spot we could. After being there twice, I don't think I would eat at the restaurant again. I would maybe order to go, but since we don't live in the area it's not likely we would drive all the way there to pick up food.

No lines and no crowds on a rainy day morning with plenty of available parking spots in the huge lot. Nothing attractive on the outside in this old popular plaza. The place turned out great with the old fashioned retro red color style interior and the experience was wonderful. Good vibes and positive feelings when walking into it. My lady server provided excellent service and the Hispanic male worker was quick and efficient. Place is clean and menu had good variety of selections. Breakfast is served all day while lunch items start at 11am. My breakfast was very fulfilling and total was $25.30 with everything included. I paid in cash and tipped them $5. Loved my sweet lady server. There was another older woman at the cash register. She's a local as well. I really enjoyed the stop. I had the Fajitas Omelette breakfast and the steak meats in it were very generous. Delicious breakfast exactly as I had expected. My onions green peppers potatoes were perfect with a side of salsa. Sourdough toast was delicious with the garlic butter taste. I really came for my favorite hot chocolate with whipped cream in the morning. I do miss big American breakfasts, especially in these old fashioned and traditional retro spots. Love it. Why didn't I visit this place much earlier? Because they're always busy or full inside and the plaza parking is usually congested with heavy traffic here. Overall, I love the vibes and the service. It's one of those places where you can just have normal casual conversations with the staffs working inside if you are open to it. Beautiful diner. Yes, I will be revisiting in the future. If you love huge food portions, there's great value here. One plate can easily be shared between two people. Nice.

After we ordered our food, I switched ketchup bottles with the table next to mine because I wanted a fuller bottle, and the fat lady worker scolds me - "hey don't just put an empty bottle on another table" with a snarky attitude. Hey you trashy haired lady, I don't work here, don't tell me what to do. Most of the workers are nice but that old bag had some self-righteous attitude. Seen it a few times before too, with her gross ass make up. If you're so concerned about the ketchup bottles why don't you do your own damn job and make sure they're full, you lazy cow. She kind of ruined my meal, but I'm glad to hear other people complain about her rude behavior. She's probably a miserable sack of potatoes that's mad at herself because she doesn't know how to put down the fork.
