[[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoy the outdoor seating when bicycling around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is friendly. Potions are a good size. Come hungry!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]50's style diner. Enjoy your meal with music from the 50's playing at a low volume in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had linguica, eggs and country potatoes.Restaurant is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Food was delicious and service very good.

Props to the chef. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. It was amazing. Simply not overdone. Liquidy. Perfection. The sauce was excellent. Can't say enough about the hash browns as well. Perfection. Nicely browned where it needed to be. Some crispy, some not. Just the way it should be. The coffee was nice and strong. The service was quite excellent. Attentive, but not overly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was pleasant. Typical of a busy diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be back soon!!!

I don't know how pre-scrambled egg product, canned gravy (possibly a mix) and spongy food service biscuits resemble a 50s diner but here we are. I'll just talk about what was good. The bacon was great - irregularly shaped bacon slices perfectly rendered with chewy and crispy parts. The single pancake I ordered for my girlfriend was excellent. I loved the malty background flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was "worn".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent. I won't be back but if you dine here, maybe get a short stack with bacon?

My boyfriend and I like coming here when we're running errands in the Fremont area. The service here is really good! They are very friendly and your food comes out quicker than other diners for sure! The quality of the food is also great however the last time I came here I tried their French toast & I felt like it was missing more cinnamon & egg. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also decided to dine outdoors as the weather was nice and since they had tables outside with umbrellas which was convenient but we noticed that the table was very dusty[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. (Not sure if they probably forgot to clean it that day since not everyone dines outside.)

A snapshot of the 50's diner

Hello, 50's diner is a hit if you love Americana and Mexican cuisine. They have a menu that has classic dishes like pigs in a blanket, or chorizo and eggs just to name a few. They have lunch items that are a favorite and are full of fresh ingredients. They have a well rounded menu, that will delight your appetite, and the service that is on par too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you love the 50's classic music and retro flare you will dig this diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed pigs in a blanket which was a huge dish that you could share. Hamburger and fries, our milkshake was creamy and sweet. Give them a try for some diner fair in Fremont.

This spot has a super friendly staff, and attentive. The food was great. They had a green salsa WOW. That is a must have on your plate. A solid 4.7 in my books. I need to tr a few more things on the menu. Updates incoming.

Pretty good parking. Definite diners vibe, diner tables and seats, photos of actors and cars and locals. It gets pretty packed but the flow is pretty good so you're not waiting long. Once you come, you seat yourselves. We only found tables that were just vacated but someone came over quickly to clean it up for us. They are always coming around to fit your coffee mug. There wasn't really a kids menu that we saw in case you're coming with kids. You could always do a bunch of sides though. They've got a senior citizens menu. Food was great. Big portions. The cornbeef hash is made in the style I like. It was delicious! Pancakes were nice and fluffy. The aisles are pretty tight so not necessarily that accessible, but they do have tables outside that are accessible. You go up to the counter to pay. Love this local staple.

Love coming to this establishment with my gal. Food is cooked the way you would want it always tasty and scrumptious. Will I be back you know I will probably next week. See ya there

I've probably ordered that exact combination over a thousand times, and Country Way in Fremont makes it better than anyone. The bacon is thick-cut, generously portioned, and cooked exactly the way I like it--crispy without being burnt. The country fried potatoes were outstanding--crispy and golden on the outside, yet soft and almost creamy on the inside. They're the kind of breakfast potatoes that are so good you end up finishing every last bite. The staff is warm and friendly, making the place feel like a neighborhood institution rather than just another breakfast spot. One thing I also love is the building itself. Country Way is housed in a wonderfully preserved vintage A-frame that feels like a trip back to a different era. Instead of chasing trendy, it embraces its history, and that charm is part of the experience. If you judge a breakfast restaurant by how well it executes the classics, Country Way absolutely nails it. Sometimes simple food, done exceptionally well, is the hardest thing to find

Menus haven't changed (except for prices of course) Ordered their Steak and Eggs, and added sausages for sides. Love how the servers make sure to keep my coffee cup full, almost all the time. This place really gives me memories of my childhood, and other memories.

It doesn't hurt to smile!…read more Firstly, I'm happy to say that the food and portions are amazing over here. If you want to eat at a place that has good quality and a big enough portion to either share or take home for leftovers then this is the place to go. There were some notable things that we stumbled across in our dining experience. I had noticed that one of the utensils wasn't washed properly so there was a dried up piece of vegetable or something stuck on it. Also I requested my burger to be cooked medium but when I received my order, it was more so well done with no pink in the middle. One of the two pork chop was cooked great, while the other was a little dry and chewy. Regardless, these were things that didn't warrant calling over a server. The thing that mainly put a stain for our restaurant outing at Skillet'z was the service. Upon walking in we were not greeted with a friendly welcoming and when seated they quickly walked away. The lady who took our order did not even look like she wanted to be there, granted I understand that nobody really enjoys having to go to work but if you need to interact with customers, maybe this isn't the occupation for you. While we were eating there was not a single time that anyone came up to us to ask us how we were doing, if we needed anything, or how the food was. There was a moment where it was someone's birthday at another table and I don't think I've ever heard a more unenthusiastic and monotone announcement for a birthday and a lame excuse for a birthday song. They're not going to bother with dropping off a check/bill for the meal so you need to go up to the counter to pay for the food. Once you step up to the counter keep in mind that more than likely you will encounter a rude interaction and a feeling that you were inconveniencing them. Overall I'll more than likely eat from here again, primarily for the food. But maybe next time we'll consider just taking out to go.

Walking in, the place had that classic Black Bear Diner feel -- cozy, welcoming, and full of that hearty breakfast energy that makes you feel like you're about to leave happy and full. As we have our dog with us all the time and visiting your restaurant for the first time allowed us to have a breakfast date which we haven't been able to do in a while & it was nice to sit down and talk. The staff was incredibly friendly and created a warm, family-oriented atmosphere - I believe we met all of their hosts and even the owner Alex who introduced himself and spoke with us. We truly appreciated being checked on, although the only thing I'd advise is that once your customers get their food and you have asked if everything is OK 1-2 times, to please allow your customers to enjoy the food.. We were approached almost every 2 minutes by different hosts, the owner and another maybe co-owner Fidel - constantly being asked if everything was OK or if we needed more coffee which was asked in total about 8 times (not exaggerating as we were asked by different people lol). We felt as if we were being monitored the entire time and couldn't enjoy our time to eat and talk. Again this is just a feedback & advice to allow your customers to enjoy the food and the company or family they are with. If they are not looking for staff or any help -- Maybe check back every 10 minutes. Otherwise, we appreciate all of your service & kindness, and we will be back soon to try out other dishes from your menu. Thank you!

No lines and no crowds on a rainy day morning with plenty of available parking spots in the huge lot. Nothing attractive on the outside in this old popular plaza. The place turned out great with the old fashioned retro red color style interior and the experience was wonderful. Good vibes and positive feelings when walking into it. My lady server provided excellent service and the Hispanic male worker was quick and efficient. Place is clean and menu had good variety of selections. Breakfast is served all day while lunch items start at 11am. My breakfast was very fulfilling and total was $25.30 with everything included. I paid in cash and tipped them $5. Loved my sweet lady server. There was another older woman at the cash register. She's a local as well. I really enjoyed the stop. I had the Fajitas Omelette breakfast and the steak meats in it were very generous. Delicious breakfast exactly as I had expected. My onions green peppers potatoes were perfect with a side of salsa. Sourdough toast was delicious with the garlic butter taste. I really came for my favorite hot chocolate with whipped cream in the morning. I do miss big American breakfasts, especially in these old fashioned and traditional retro spots. Love it. Why didn't I visit this place much earlier? Because they're always busy or full inside and the plaza parking is usually congested with heavy traffic here. Overall, I love the vibes and the service. It's one of those places where you can just have normal casual conversations with the staffs working inside if you are open to it. Beautiful diner. Yes, I will be revisiting in the future. We moved to Milpitas about a year ago and my son started going to Mil's and is a current 'Regular'. They have good food. So after a while, my husband and I started going there and we too started going there pretty regularly for breakfast, at least once or twice a week. All in all, between the family we drop a few hundred a week. And we do tip well. Most of the wait staff knows us. Today, my husband had to stop on his way home to use the restroom. He doesn't look homeless or unkempt in anyway. When he asked, they told him he couldn't unless he's a 'paying customer'. This was to a newer employee he hadnt seen before. He proceeded to explain that we eat here regularly and she still said no. He asked to speak to the manager, who does know him. He too said no. I find it ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that for a supposed family atmosphere restaurant, they couldn't extend a small courtesy. What exactly was it going to take away from them? As mentioned, we drop a good chunk of change there, and they didnt want to help out a patron that frequents the restaurant? Well, have no fear, we will NEVER darken your doorstep EVER again.
