Ours had a full kitchen with tons of counter space and cooking utensils provided, a dining area, a living room, two TVs, a washer/dryer, and a huge master bedroom + bathroom. Although there was no AC in our unit, there were multiple screen doors throughout which made it breezy indoors. Check-in and check-out was also super easy! Aloha! This was our…read moresecond stay in #104 at the lovely Prince Kuhio. Unfortunately, management knew our toilet was broken before we arrived and did not fix it after we requested it on day 2. For 8 days, our commode would not flush properly, and the seat was sliding as if it would fall off at any moment. Then the sliding screen door kept blowing open because there was no latch or lock mechanism. Geckos, lizards, grasshoppers, and crickets were constant guests in the condo. Not only was my partner scared to death of these creepy critters constantly roaming the room (a gecko in bed), but the crickets chirping in the wee hours of the morning inside the condo kept us up, and me on the hunt to give my girl peace of mind and some shut-eye. We either kept the door closed (which kept the room hot/no AC) or propped it closed with something, but it always seemed to find its way open. I chose #104 after a lovely experience during our first stay in 2025. In May of 2026, to celebrate my 60th and my partner's 50th birthday in #104 at the Prince Kuhio made perfect sense. After all, it was a very special occasion, as two milestones were to be celebrated. We may as well have slept on the beach. I asked for some compensation, and all we received was an "I'm sorry." I asked for a follow-up and received none. If this were you, how would you feel? Exactly. We provided Kauai Exclusive Management plenty of time to respond before letting them know I'd leave a review, because it was the right thing to do for a business to make something that was wrong, right. They did not care. And of course, they will likely reply with some, "We're so sorry you had a bad experience during your stay and... blah blah... blah blah blah. We've all been there and know the feeling of frustration afterward when their words subtly mock our words to smooth things over, reassuring future customers that they really do care. They did not care, and they don't care now. If I were the owner of #104, I'd be ashamed to have this place manage my condo. Next year, we're staying at the Prince Kuhio again, though in a different unit, booked through VRBO. In fact, I already booked the room! As I said, The Prince Kuhio is a lovely place, and I encourage any visitor to stay there. But I will never use Kauai Exclusive Management LLC again. The person on the phone told me they would allow us to move our dates if needed. Of course, 2 of my young kids came down with a virus 3 days before my trip, I called to change dates, told them we were flexible, but they would NOT let us change dates. The manager, Sean, told me "All of my staff knows our policy and they would not tell you that." Essentially calling me a liar. They had no compassion or empathy and said "We aren't doing anything wrong, this is our policy." We were going to lose out on $3000 so we ended up still going but it wasn't the easiest or most enjoyable. We also called to request a late checkout the day of leaving but they wouldn't honor that either, 10am sharp. Update: After reading Sean's response, I would like to make it clear he is incorrect in a few details. 1.I did not ask for a cancellation, I wanted to move dates. Prior to booking, I called and the person I spoke to said if I had a sick kid they would be able to move dates. This led me to book, feeling I had insurance from them. 2. I was not upset on the phone when they told me I couldn't late checkout. I told them I understood, but I just wanted to mention on the review that there was no late checkout. 3. I did not have 3 separate people call and threaten them with bad reviews. The other person who called was my mother in law who was going to book with them if they let us change our dates. Even after reading Sean's response, I still feel no empathy from him or the company. I really wish we could have changed dates. This was my 40th birthday, and having to deal with 2 sick kids on vacation was tough. They were not able to enjoy the beach or pool at all. Not to mention, I was shaking and in tears on the phone with him and he just kept saying "this is our policy."

We snorkled at Poipu which is a beautiful scenic 25-30 min drive and saw incredible fish, turtles and monk seals and the complimentary beach chairs and towels were wonderful from the hosts. Four suites in the house overall, and it's right across the street from the Big Save Supermarket and several restaurants, plus within walking distance to other eateries and points of interest. Plus, next door to the beach. I stayed in the Hibiscus Suite and it was a great value overall and very clean. One bedroom, one bathroom, and then the living room with a mini-refrigerator, a sofa, two soft chairs and a TV (which I did not use the majority of the time I was there because I was out and about during the 2 days/nights). There is on-site parking available and also out in front right off the road. To check-in, you will want to go to the West Kauai Lodging offices located at 9600 Kaumualii HWY #MC2, Waimea, HI 96796. It's right next door to the only traffic light in Waimea Town. They will give you the keys to get into the main entrance and then into your room. For security reasons, they want you to lock the bolt every time you go in and out. If I stay in West Kauai, I would certainly consider staying here again!

The parking lot would get full at times, but we were always able to find a spot. They have quiet hours posted, but honestly, noise was never a problem here. Located right on the ocean, we had a remarkable view of Hoai Bay and Prince Kuhio Beach from our living room/dining room as well as our Lanai. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai, listening to the waves and watching for sea turtles, which was saw many! Locals would come to the beach to fish and even that was fun to watch! There's also a ton of roosters and chickens, and the roosters crow all day, not just in the mornings lol! We also saw thousands of rose ringed parakeets flying into the area in the morning and flying out at night! Showers and foot baths were located in the parking lot to rinse off prior to returning from the beach. We had to take our trash out a couple of times during our stay, and that was located at the end of the parking lot near the BBQ area. The staff was friendly, although our interaction with them was minimal. One kind gentleman on staff offered to take my trash for me and told me to go enjoy my day, that taking out the trash was a horrible thing to have to do on vacation! I only wish the facility had a pool, but based on the fact the backyard of the grounds in literally the ocean, I get why they don't offer that amenity lol!

I picked this specific condominium because it looked great and they advertise it. There was air-conditioning in every room. If you've been to Kauai, you know it can get very hot. I reached out to the property manager, whose name is Simone and she flippantly told me that the owner here specifically said it cannot get lower than 76°. This is false advertising and another reason you should read reviews. I guess there's been a lot of issues at condominium number seven. Next time I'll stay at the Marriott where they allow AC to get to a livable level. Do not stay in unit 7.

One star for the breathtaking location…read more Zero stars for: the upstairs plumbing that was dripping directly into the kitchen light fixture, which was full of water (and dead and dying fruit flies) when we arrived. Zero stars for the offsite property manager, who didn't tell us the deck banister was under construction during our stay. Zero stars for the incredibly loud, erratic buzzing sound in the walls that prevented us from enjoying our rooms OR SLEEPING. Zero stars for the careless and probably high maintenance people who took hours to respond to all of the above. And finally, zero stars for the kind of falling-apart condo complex that churns visitors through so fast that all these issues go unfixed basically forever. Stay literally anywhere else.

We spent 5 days at MaP, specifically in unit 2308, and enjoyed everything it had to offer. The unit…read morewas two floors - clean, air conditioned, and tasteful. Kitchen was well equipped. We even got a nice welcome package (tasty Kauai coffee, chocolates, chips, a pineapple, etc)! The lanai overlooked the pool and the very blue ocean could be seen from both floors. We even saw whales breaching and spouting from the lower floor on the first day. We checked in at 4pm and met the very friendly cleaning staff who were helpful with their advice. Parking was plentiful. Unit had beach accessories, and even a pair of tennis rackets & balls for the court nearby. The grounds were well maintained. An incredible vantage point near the southern tip of the property guarded safely by a secure metal fence and shrubs - to view immense crashing waves against the lava cliffs, as well as the colorful evening sunsets. Our unit came with a washer & dryer. Bath towels were super soft. Lanai railing will undergo repairs at some point but felt secure to me. I fell asleep a few times here with a book in my lap. The sound of the crashing waves from upstairs bedroom at night was so relaxing. The MaP is close to Poipu Beach - we walked there many times. Same with Shipwreck Beach. MaP is highly recommended!
