If I didn't live so dang far I'd be by this place erryday! This place had a bright and welcoming vibe. Lots of gorgeous greenery and the space was open and airy. Our waitress was super sweet and we did the unlimited drink add-on option with our midweek brunch meal. Read that one no time! Midweek brunch! Okayyyy. The food was banging, the drinks were delightful and wine and my friend had such a good time. Don't walk, run to Claudia's. You won't regret it!

I do like Claudia's, however it is quite pricey. While it's good for vegetarians, adding meat or even avocado is another $5-7 which is so crazy to me. The item that is the most bang for your buck and will leave you filled is the pulled pork bowl. The green sauce on top with the pickled onions is l good. However, my friends and I were seated at the bar and the food took almost half to 45 minutes to come out, even though it wasn't that busy (only half the seats were filled in the restaurant for 1-2 pm on a Sunday.) We all got the same dish so not sure what the hold up is. I probably won't be going back soon just given the price point alone.

The food, drinks and service was amazing! We sat at the bar - always sit at the bar - and got amazing and fast service. Happy hour was in full effect so I got two cafecito martinis (espresso) for $6 a piece. The best deal in town! My husband got a dirty martini and then a spicy passion fruit martini. For food I got an omelette and French toast and my husband got the tostadas. Highly recommend Claudia's

The food is just incredible. I had taquitos y huevos. I loved the variety of items on the plate, and each was cooked to perfection. The beans were packed with flavor, the taquitos were crispy and a little spicy, the cheese added a bit of a salty note, and the eggs and rice helped bring everything together into a hearty meal. For just $18 before tax and tip, it's also a really good deal. Definitely worth a visit.

I went to Claudia's on a Saturday for a birthday brunch. Thankfully, it wasn't too crowded considering I went with a group of 6 people. Karen was so sweet and attentive. She made my family and I feel welcomed.My sister got the chai latte and absolutely loved it. Cappuccino is my go to and this one did not disappoint. For my meal, I got the brunch tostadas and they were packed with toppings. It was a little messy to eat but super yummy nonetheless. My sister got the traditional breakfast and mentioned it tasted like a home cooked meal. Great experience overall. The bathroom was also pretty cool!!

I enjoy trying a variety of breakfast dishes and this is an absolute must to try! It's a Guatemalan restaurant that offer an amazing variety of brunch dishes that are modernized version of classic breakfast dishes. I usually come first thing in the morning or afternoon since it does get quite lively with larger parties enjoying their meals. When I do arrive, it's a calm and relaxing space to start your morning or continue your day with some delicious food with amazing plating. The servers are very attentive when it comes to getting our orders but make sure you enjoy your time while at the restaurant. So make every bite count and sip of your coffee or drink count. It's an amazing place to see and eat at. Bring your friends who loves Guatemalan food as well as your friends who should be introduced to this spot!

Oh boy! This is a great spot! What an incredibly welcoming space with a super kind person working the entire restaurant. It's a small restaurant but it was very full and our server was on top of everything. The food...oh the food. It was so visually appealing and even tastier than that! This is a hidden gem in Williamsburg that you need to make a plan to get to asap!

Solid brunch spot. I came here with friends . We ordered the French toast, steak and eggs , traditional Guatemalan breakfast and the breakfast tostadas. We also ordered 2 cafe con leche and a coffee and a tea. My friends were very satisfied with their meals. I ate the breakfast tostadas which were delicious with the eggs perfectly runny. They weren't the easiest things to eat but were delicious. The cafe con leche was big and flavorful. They stayed hot super long which made it nice to sip on throughout the meal. We left full. Service here is friendly and with a smile

This was the perfect place for a spontaneous early dinner. The ambience was perfect, our waitress Kat was attentive, welcoming and gave helpful recommendations about food and drinks. There was a $6 happy hour which is a great deal not to mention the drinks were amazing. The Salmon was fresh and vibrant. We had the pleasure of talking to the owner, Dennis and it's evident he puts a lot of thought and care into his restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Great cozy and welcoming brunch spot! Make sure you get here early, because tables fill up quickly. Service is always good and food comes out quickly. Here is a rating of all the dishes I've tried: * Churrasco Con Huevos 10/10 - The chimichurri sauce is so flavorful and they give a large portion of food * Guatemalan Traditional Breakfast w/ Chorizo 8.5/10 - Nice balanced meal with good flavor and I recommend adding the chorizo * Carnitas Bowl 9/10 - Slightly spicy with tender meat * Horchata Latte 7/10 - Adds a nice sweetness and pairs well with banana bread, but can be a bit grainy * Banana Bread 8/10 - Moist on the inside and great banana flavor Overall, all the food I've eaten here has been very flavorful and delicious. I will say the only complaint I have is there are sometimes inconsistencies. I've ordered the Churrascos Con Huevos a couple times and sometimes they give you a lot of chimichurri and sometimes they just put a little bit. Also, the horchata latte is kind of hit or miss. It can be a bit grainy or bitter.

The food is plated BEAUTIFULLY, this is truly an "Instagrammable" brunch spot. I went with 3 new friends and tried different plates and drinks; everyone seemed happy! My tostadas were hearty and filling but lacked a special punch of flavor. Nonetheless, I enjoyed them and loved the melon agua fresca! The service was timely and accurate; not much else to be said. Although this restaurant is on the smaller side, the space is used very well and fits a great amount of guests. Overall, a lovely place to spend a surprisingly warm spring Saturday!

Really good! I had a great time. The food and ambiance are great and service is good too! I really enjoyed the traditional Guatemalan breakfast. The tortilla was so soft. The avocado was fresh. And the beans were flavorful! Yum. I wish I had also tried the yucca fries. I also loved sitting outside. The location is good and the chairs are fun. I also loved the bathroom! It has bird wallpaper and also bird noises that play when you walk in!

We got the traditional breakfast and the banana deep pan cake which I am now forgetting the name of. We also got some passion fruit juice and a few cocktails and a guava Mamosa. Everything here is excellent. The staff was really kind and accommodating. The ambience is really nice and doesn't feel like a gentrification vibe That I'm finding in the rest of Williamsburg. I felt very at home here, and the food was fresh, healthy, Rich, flavorful. read more

Awesome little café in East Williamsburg. Coffee is completely on point. Service is very friendly! The staff here is chatty and easy to relate to, very curious about what you think of the place and their food / coffee. They've got a cool breakfast thing going on during the week. I've been for both food and coffee and have yet to be disappointed. The place never gets too crazy either, which is cool, makes it a safe option when you're thinking about a midday brunch on the weekend! read more

I have been here a few times because I live in the area and it is a really solid quick brunch place. I have had the Brunch Tostados and the House Brunch. They really accomodating with adding extras. I really like their pico de gallo and I always get it on the side. My boyfriend always has the burger and he really enjoys it. The service is pretty consistent but it is really small so it fills up fast. Sitting by the window sucks in the mid-morning because it tends to be a bit hot and too much light. The cocktails are also really great. They are always adding and subtracting from the menu so we go back every so often to see what's new. read more

Great food! The baked eggs were so fresh and the cilantro, tomatoe and onion were refreshing flavors. The french toast was light and flavorful. My boyfriend had the steak and eggs. The steak was a little bland and the potatoes were delicious. Overall, great food. We would go back! read more

Food and drink was great. The only problem I had was when I asked the young lady for lemon, she used her hand to grab it. She then returned to what she was doing while she played with her hair. That left a bad taste in my mouth. I dont want anyone using their bare hands on my food. That's not hygienic. read more

In keeping in step with Madonna as I am ought to do- just like a prayer, oral stimulation.. and Guatemalan breakfast can take me there. If anyone else struggles to find a weekday brunch spot like I have (honestly one is hard pressed to luck out in finding a spot these days, what has this weekend-only brunch life come to?) I highly recommend C Lo. They stop serving breakfast items at 12, a reasonable time to arrive before on a weekday. Mondays are half-priced Mojito day! Happened upon this last week and it was a true blessing. The weekday breakfast choices here are also on point. I ordered the combo plate of sorts- came with a fried egg on toast with cucumbers and tomatoes, a Greek yogurt with honey and granola, and small arugula salad. Also got the side of avocado mash and sprouts toast to satisfy my basic side. The fresh breakfast made me feel extra good about ordering multiple mojitos. read more

I like the ambiance of this place. Really quiet and calm and relaxing. The waitress was really nice hooked up my cappuccino. It was pretty good. I had the shrimp tacos which were also very good. And I'm an avid taco critic so I was pleased. I'm definitely coming back to try breakfast. Even my boyfriend who never likes anything liked his pulled pork sandwich. Woohoo! read more

C. Lo is one of the most underrated brunch places in Williamsburg. Fantastic food but never have to wait for a table. Probably been 40-50 times in the past two years and never had a bad dish. I've been waiting two years for a website/blog to blow up the place in a "best brunch in Brooklyn" list but somehow it's remained under the radar. Which is great because I've never had to wait for seat, ever. Now that I've left the neighborhood, I feel comfortable sharing the secret ;) Personal favorite is the Pancakes topped with cheesecake filling and berries with a side of the breakfast chorizo. You come for the salmon toast and stay for the alcohol infused coffees. The service is great and the baristas always understand what you are talking about. Could be a bit crowded on weekends so try and get there at a reasonable hour. read more

I'll spare you the Gnarls Barkley lyrics and just share that this is a sit-down spot that would do very well if it added some inviting takeout area. Brunch was pretty slow, with the bar/cafe space pretty empty and yet the service was still slow. read more

I really enjoyed the BELT it was simple but the sauce really brought it all together. The grilled cheese French toast was really over whelming, way to many conflicting taste between the sharp cheddar cheese, the bacon and the maple syrup.The coffee was terrible. For claiming to be a Spanish inspired restaurant the coffee taste like dirty water (especially the Caffe con leche). Hope they can improve the coffee quality read more

I loved this place so much , as you can see from my review from three years ago, but it has gone DOWNHILL. New ownerships, and terrible kitchen staff. The food made me gag today. We have been going here almost 4 times a month and more for coffee and it's just not worth it anymore. New ownership also made it look really urban outfitters, which wouldn't matter if the food was good. Such a sad day for the neighborhood but it's definitely not good anymore. (Also service has never been great, but I love the crew there.) read more

I come here very often; the food is amazing. Healthy, aesthetically pleasing, delicious, and very filling. The staff is friendly and down to earth but very attentive and precise. The coffee is smooth and addicting. Today I ordered food to go and waited in the car with a friend. As I opened the door to go pick up the food, I noticed the server was already running it out to me. Excellent service. Overall great experience each time. UPDATE: new item, Caesar Salad. I decided I can live off of this salad for the rest of my life. read more

LOVE C.LO! My partner and I come here at least 1x a week for brunch. The food is always AMAZING. Like every single time, they never disappoint. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I really like the latinx vibe here as well, and the music is always really good. Recently they added the option to buy champagne by the bottle for mimosas, so I am definitely ordering that next time I am feeling like a boozy brunch. My favorite order is the Brisket Grilled Cheese. I literally order this EVERY SINGLE TIME. Mainly because I am a creature of habit, but also because it's my fave. My partner has also gone in during the week to get some work done. All in all its my favorite neighborhood place! read more

I visited C.Lo Cafe on a Sunday for brunch. We ordered the avocado toast, the apple cherry pancakes, eggs, home fries and two guava mimosas. The toast was ridiculously small. I don't like big portions, but this is the tiniest avocado toast I've ever seen. The apple cherry pancakes were ok. The home fries were good. The guava mimosas were good. The prices are average. The place is clean and bright. The bathroom was somewhat clean, could use a touch up. We had to wait a bit for the home fries. We were almost done eating by the time they were ready. Somehow the order was not put in. The waitress was friendly. It seems like a family run restaurant. The music was nice. Overall, this would be an okay spot to visit if you live in the neighborhood. With so many great brunch spots in NYC, I would not go out of my way to eat here again. read more

Love Claudia's. Came here several times when it was C Lo Cafe and I think it is even better now. I don't know Guatemalan food but I have had several things from the menu and all have been delicious. The carnitas bowl is probably my favorite. And they have great coffee which is huge for me. The staff are really friendly and attentive, and the place is very clean and comfortable. Favorite breakfast spot in Williamsburg. Order the Guatemalan Traditional with a Turmeric Latte. Service is great, everyone on staff is super welcoming and friendly. If I'm ordering lunch I'll get the Vegan Tacos and Chicken Tortilla Soup. It's never too busy, so I hope more people discover it. Such a gem. read more

We wanted to get a quick bite to eat without a wait, and this place was the perfect choice. There was plenty of seating around 3pm. I also really like how brunch is available until 4:00. It's a cute and clean place with a relaxed feel. If you sit at the bar, the countertop is marble(or something like it) which is a nice touch. There are many options on the brunch menu. I enjoyed a michelada and the egg carnitas with pulled pork/home fries. I also got a bite of the burger and chorizo which was also very good. I regret not trying any appetizers or adding any sides. It's safe to say that they do Brunch well here! read more

First of all ... the bacon was $3 for 2 pieces . Let that sink in . The French toast was dry and had zero flavor ......... I didn't even eat it . That was a really underwhelming $30 breakfast ......... never again . The waitress should also try to smile at the customers. read more

Let me tell you that I am officially obsessed with this place. When I say they have a customer in me forever..I really mean forever. I want to live here. In their kitchen. Awesome drinks! Watermelon lemonade is my new summer favorite drink! All of the drinks I've had are delicious. The scones are awesome! Banana bread is YUM! Everything is really delicious! My husband and I ate here for the first time since it opened, he had the bbq burger (well, he had two because he thought the first one was so yummy and wanted more!) and I had the Carnitas. Oh emm gee. Best plate of carnitas I've had in my life and I've had a lot of carnitas. Served on a wooden plate, so you could "build your own" tacos with all of the fixin's. So yummy. Everything is really fresh and made with love! The mimosas are strong, hubby had Mango, and I had watermelon. REALLY GOOD! The staff are all wonderful and very sweet and attentive. I absolutely love this place! It's definitely a good addiction.... I mean addition... to the neighborhood! Keep it up, C.Lo! ;) read more

This spot is so cute and in the heart of Williamsburg ! I'm sure if I tried more things I could give it a 5 star. I wasn't too hungry so I got the yogurt,fruit, and granola bowl. The yogurt was seriously so delicious, extremely thick. Think cream cheese texture. I shared a scone with my friend and it was really bad, no flavor/dry. They don't make the scones there so it's not their fault. But the drinks and food looked amazing ! Would definitely come back to try more things! read more

The style of the restaurant is so modern and calming. The vibe this place gives off is amazing. They play awesome music, the lighting is perfect. The food is sooooo good. Especially the C.Lo burger. I love when restaurants and cafe's aren't stingy with avocado. The Cold Brew is so refreshing. They have wifi and have outlets all around so you can stay charged. Very customer friendly. Also the staff is very nice. Justine was very welcoming and sweet, and recommended great items from the menu. read more

Love this place. Just had the churrasco with two sides...plantains and salad. The boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich, Popeyes has nothing on Claudias. Drinks were perfect, the bartender is serious about her cocktails. Overall a great experience! Loved the signs in the bathroom, and the design in general. read more

This is right around the corner for us and it was a very welcome addition. Their coffee is excellent (we get it here almost every day). The cold brew is extra awesome, but be careful you don't get addicted, the withdrawal in the fall is no joke. The breakfast is also very good. Great restaurant with a simple yet perfectly executed menu. I've only been here for breakfast but I'd be excited to return to try other things. I ordered the Veggie Avocado Bagel that came with mashed avocados, sprouts, cucumber and tomatoes. I added an egg white for a surcharge but it was totally worth it. The sandwich was very substantial yet light at the same time. Delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Located very close to Grand Station (L). I'd return to try more of the menu! read more

The food here is consistently good. Sometimes it's actively excellent. It's charming and a nice local lunch spot, BUT... Why three stars? The service is frequently lacking. The lunchtime server is incredibly sweet, but often gets the order wrong & never checks back on the table after food is dropped off. And getting the bill at the end is always a challenge. Do I think this is enough to skip this spot? No, but it makes me hesitate sometimes, and keeps the place from being much, much better. Still, it's a bummer when you have to decide between eating an incorrect order & not getting service vs. simply going somewhere else. My hope is the owners see this review to make some basic, much-needed service improvements (and getting a better ranking). Totally side note: they should offer fries, and a few more sides on the menu, even as an add-on. It would be nice to go with their great pork sandwich, in particular. read more

A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. This review is a long time coming. This place is EXACTLY what this part of Williamsburg needed. Great coffee, bagels (the best I've ever had and I'm a New Yorker), and the friendliest service EVER!! The beef dobladas are soooo good. I can't thank them enough for knowing exactly what kind of place we needed here and hiring such a great staff. A family run place and they nailed it!
