I came here a few times. The charbroiled oysters were delicious. I can go there and and eat that all day. My son had the wings which he said was also delicious. The service was great. My boyfriend phone was dying and he needed it charged because our basketball tickets were on it. The waitress charged it for him. She was very pleasant. When the bill came she told us there was no tip added because we spent a certain amount of money. This didn't sit right with me. We still wanted to give her something. Being a Houstonian who eats crab on a regular by some of the best boilers on our side of the Mississippi, "it's a no for me dog." The sauce was very thick and lacked depth. It was truly more of a curry boil and not a Louisiana boil. Also, we went for the spicy boil and it was heavy in cayenne. It took about a day for my mouth to fully recover. The soju drinks (adult Capri suns) were okay but could have used another flavorful liqueur to really compete as a craft drink but the garnishes were pretty and the packaging is fun. What a downer for the end of a wonderful birthday! We love seafood restaurants where you can get seafood boils (combination seafood, steam/boiled with corn, sausage, potatoes, etc.). The menu states Snow Crab Legs $38 per lb, Dungeness Crabs $72 for 2 lbs which I thought was odd. I asked if I could get 1 lb of Dungeness (half order), and she said yes. In my mind, just like the snow crab legs, typically 2 clusters equates to about 1 lb., and that's what I said to her, expressing that 4 clusters would be too much with the apps and soup we ordered. Never during our conversation did she say the menu price is for one whole Dungeness crab, not a per pound charge for clusters. That would have been simple and clear to understand. So my partner proceeded to order the same thing because we both love Dungeness. Don't you know we got the bill for $148 for Dungeness crab (I added sausage to mine.), plus all the other items (drinks included) totalled about $263.00. What???? So plus tip, this meal would have been over $300.00 for 2 people. What???? After lengthy discussions with the waitress and the manager, one order of Dungeness was removed. This was the worst case of miscommunication that I've ever experienced at a restaurant in my life. I felt really sad about this situation, but I was also mad at the same time when I know I was very clear about what I asked for. Please put in parentheses (one whole Dungeness crab cooked to order)! This location is ideal because of the seating available and the waiting area in the front where you can order drinks and even be seated if you like. Came here at about 9pm on a Friday night aka prime time! The dj was spinning smooth 90s r&b and really set the vibe. With only a party of two the wait was suppose to be 45 min but we only waited about 30. Their boil is the best to me hands down! I get the claw daddy special which is a blend of the all the sauces. This stuff is so good I could drink it lol. The charbroiled oysters are also delicious, the parm forms a crisp outer layer while the oysters lay in a bed of garlic and butter. I came here with my gals to catch up. I can't recall if we had reservations but it was an early Saturday afternoon and we were seated pretty quickly. We ordered a collage of crab legs, shrimp, oysters, clams, and crawfish with a side of potatoes and corn. Unlike your other seafood boils where each person gets their own sharing; at this location, they placed everything in one bag for the table. We then ordered the adult Capri suns and I personally feel like they weren't good. It tasted like sugar water and bottom shelf vodka; it almost tasted like syrupy medicine. Maybe if they mixed it a little better it would've had a better taste on the palate. I must say the fried oysters were really good; I think they had them as add ons on the menu for $1-2. Yesterday I ordered snow crablegs from clawdaddysnyc (Brooklyn). The food was SPOILED. I would love to know how something like this could happen. Not only that they had spoiled food in their possession but how could you prepare said food and send it to a patron? How does the chef knowingly bag this up to be sent out to someone? I contacted @clawdaddysnyc (Brooklyn location) and spoke with a manager who said he wasn't sure how this could happen. He didn't seem very apologetic, rushed me off the phone before taking my name or looking up my order. I had to ask him if he even knew who he was speaking to. I don't like the service I received regarding this serious matter. I really need answers from the kitchen manager at this point. I reached out to clawdaddysnyc via IG last night and no one has responded to me yet. This is disgusting and very unhealthy. Spoiled seafood can make someone VERY Sick. All of the crablegs arrived like this. After spending $70 of my hard working dollars I NEED ANSWERS! Maybe I should contact the department of health to look into this matter on my behalf. I did not try their seafood boil. This review is only for their appetizers/happy hour. I heard so much about their $1 happy hour deal and finally had a chance to try it after monthss of wanting it. The happy hour is the whole day until 7:30pm I believe and it includes $1/raw oysters, $1/plain chicken wings and $1.50/grilled oysters. I came specifically for the raw oysters since I'm an oyster fanatic and I'm always looking for the best places. Fortunately, the oysters were nice cold and fresh. The only problem was their cocktail sauce. It was just not it for me. I don't know what it was about it but I didn't like it. I was so disappointed. It's just not the same without a good cocktail sauce. The waiter said the chicken wings were cajun seasoned, but it was just plain chicken wings to me, lightly salted. The grilled oysters were good, I recommend that but it is a little greasy/buttery. We also tried their creamy seafood pasta. That was good. Overall, I think I just had way too high expectations coming here which led me to be disappointed. This was my first time to Brooklyn. We chose this restaurant as we were in the mood for seafood. We were seated in the outdoor area, which was quite pleasant. The wait staff were relatively nice and helpful. I chose to try one of their famous "boils", selecting the one with crab, shrimp, and muscles. The spice level is REAL so I would go down a notch than what you would normally have. I did the spicy level and my lips were tingling for quite a while after I left. This is the only place I will have grilled oysters and keep ordering. (they have $1 and $1.50 oysters during happy hour and early weekend days). By far my favorite seafood boil spot. I've been to my fare share of boil restaurants and Claw Daddy's is at the top of my list! I was just there on Tuesday for my dads birthday, it was my 5th time and my family's first time. They all really enjoyed it. The happy hour deals were good too. From adult caprisuns to oysters, grilled clams and wings as starters. I'm not a huge mac and cheese fan, but their crawfish Mac was really good my nephews enjoyed it. So I've been here a few times before with a variety of different people. Apparently Sunday nights are busier than I expected. (I've come on a random Wednesday night and a random Thursday night when the craving struck and it was full but not overly so) Tonight I wandered in with two of my favorite eating buddies L.C. and D.G.. We each ordered a boil (1 lb snow crab with sausage and potatoes, mild. Two orderes of 1 lb shrimp+1 lb snow crab, medium). As L.C. and D.G. are good eaters, we took advantage of the 1 dollar wing and 1 dollar oyster happy hour deal by ordering 10 wings and 3 oysters. Combined with a few pouches of drinks, we were pretty much set for a good night. The wings, very much like their Chinatown location, were crispy, fresh, and delicious. The boils were everything I expected, saucy, delicious mildly spiced (as I preferred), with red potatoes and sausage cut on bias for optimal sauce coverage. So where did my oysters come in? They came with the option of raw vs grilled and I chose raw. However, they came out just after my boil. And by just after my boil, I mean literally that we got our boils and then a plate of my oysters was delivered to the table. At this point the wings had come and went. They were blue point oysters, decently fresh, and at a dollar an oyster, a great value. All in all the food was good though I would have wanted my oysters to come out with the other appetizers. So why three stars? In the end, I did have to remind the server that I had ordered raw oysters and wasnt really given an explanation as to why it took almost 40 minutes for three oysters to get to the table. Additionally, our server was very nice but her co-worker was very rude when she came to collect our check. I guess if I were to separate, the food was four stars while the service was closer to a two. Maybe it was an unexpected Sunday night rush? Who knows. read more

TLDR; Amazing Cajun seafood boil to enjoy with friends. The drinks are pretty good, although they could provide more with the cocktails. They have good deals during their happy hour - especially on clams/oysters. I always enjoy getting the boil with shrimp and some snow crab legs, etc with friends or fiancé. It's a messy eat but they provide you with gloves and a bib to protect your clothes - It's totally worth it though. Spice level is good at medium for casuals who like spicy. The spicy option is legit if you are experienced. That's my usual. I highly recommend the Claw Daddy's Special sauce with the seafood boil. read more

Ignore the price; Claw Daddy's is worth it!!! I've been to this spot at least 8-10 times, and I've never been disappointed. I love boils and this one is my favorite in the entire country. For food we had Alligator bites, first time trying alligator. I'm really impressed! I enjoyed it. Crab cake fritters, really enjoyed the spicy ranch with these. I also love that they have outdoor seating but they use torches to keep the mosquitoes away and it makes it really hot outside on top of the summer heat if you're sitting near one. I really enjoyed my food. I had a pound of shrimp with the claw daddy sauce in medium spice. The medium spice is not that spicy if you are use to hot food. The corn was okay. Not the best. The potatoes I had weren't that good either. Unfortunately I didn't try the adult caprisons, which did look delicious but our wonderful server gave us a complimentary shot. If you want to take your meal up a notch, add salt, pepper and some lemon and whew! The ambiance was also great. Good music that keeps you moving while you eat good food.
