I highly recommend Clean & Done. The owner, Samantha, is professional, kind, and thorough. We had been playing phone tag for a couple of days, but she never stopped attempting to coordinate a time for service. Eventually we connected and she was able to get me on the book, even with short notice. Apparently the original house cleaner bailed out last minute, but what's great, is that I had no idea! Samantha (the owner) arrived and followed through on the service with an outstanding and approachable attitude. She listened to the cleaning priorities that I wanted, and respected my requests. Singlehandedly, everything of priority was completed and then SOME!! Samantha went above and beyond. I'm so grateful for how she handled her scheduling--even with her no-show. I made the mistake of buying their Groupon deal before reading Yelp reviews. Sure enough, I had a bad experience, just like many reviewers did. I clicked on their website to complete the booking, and it offered cleaning slots for that same day. However, it wouldn't let me click a time period for that afternoon or evening because the message said I had to phone them because it was less than 60 hours away. I left a voice mail & told them to call me on my home phone but no one called me back. Two days later, I gave up waiting and got Groupon to give me a refund. So much for same day cleaning! read more

I would give 5 stars for Denise. She was friendly and hard working. The reason for the 3 stars is because on their website, it states that all I would have to provide is a vacuum. The cleaning supplies were not professional grade as I would expect from a professional service. Fabuloso was provided. I had to provide any other cleaning agents (cleaner with bleach, etc). We had a terrible experience with this company. Honestly, the house looked worse than it did before they came and my wife had to go over all of their work again. The cleaners were supposed to bring their own tools and products but they brought one rag and a bottle of spray for the whole house. This meant they cleaned our coffee table with the same cloth as the bathroom - gross! What they did "clean" was streaky and careless. When my wife complained about the quality of service the owner was incredibly rude. We have never seen such poor customer service. That's why I'm giving them one star. read more

I'm not someone who takes great pleasure in criticizing people/businesses, but - honestly - the sooner this business is 'done,' the better. Their cleaning service is pathetically poor, & their so-called 'customer service' is antagonistically atrocious. About a year ago, I purchased a Groupon voucher for a 2 hour *deep* cleaning of my one bedroom apartment. I have a small kitchen, & a small bathroom, so I figured 2 hours would be enough time for a cleaner to *thoroughly* clean at least those 2 areas, if nothing else. However, the cleaner who showed up was quite disappointing. For the entire 2 hours, she listened to uber-obnoxious, grossly misogynistic cRap music in her headphones - which was so loud, that I could hear every dumb-a$$ lyric, no matter where I tried to escape to in my apartment (it was slightly less noisy than being in a nightclub, basically). Well, I thought, I don't blame her for wearing headphones to pass the time while she cleans - but GOT D@MN! TURN THAT S#!T DOWN! I kept assuring myself: I bet she does a fantastic job, & this will all have been worth it (almost)... Alas, my mediocre dream did not come true... She moved at a snail's pace, & seemed annoyed when I (kindly) asked her to do basic things that she - obviously - missed, but couldn't be bothered to clean (or clean thoroughly). Seriously, my kid neighbor would've done an infinitely better job...in less time... Shortly after the 'cleaner' left my apartment, she returned to ask for payment. Apparently, her supervisor told her that I didn't pay, so she needed to go back to collect payment. (Good thing I wasn't running around my place butt-naked at this point.) I explained to the 'cleaner' that I had purchased a Groupon (something she should've already been aware of, hello?!), so then a back-n-forth between her & her boss ensued for 5 minutes - via text - in my doorway, until she finally just took a picture of my Groupon voucher with her phone & said, "that should take care of it." Gee, I hope so! At the time, I decided *not* to write a negative review of C&D - because, hey, perhaps one unsavory experience shouldn't color my opinion of the whole company, right? Oh how WRONG I was... Cut to - several weeks ago, I see that they're offering a Groupon for a 2 hour (regular) cleaning, & so I think: What the heck, let's give 'em another try. I carefully scoured the Fine Print, to be certain that this deal did not apply to 'New Customers Only.' It did not, so I bought the voucher & set up an appointment. A few days before my appointment, I was emailed a bill for their cleaning services. I immediately emailed C&D, explaining that I didn't owe this amount, because I had purchased a voucher. Someone from the company emailed me back to say that, since I had purchased a voucher for their services a year prior, they would not honor the most recent voucher I had purchased. HUH? I wound up having to engage in a fruitless back-n-forth with a representative from C&D, who made every attempt to obfuscate their position, which included the ridiculously contradictory claim that they "welcome new and *repeat* customers," but that their Groupon voucher's Fine Print specified '1 per customer' and '1 per household,' therefore, I was not eligible for their service, because I had already redeemed my *one* voucher (last year). YES THEY REALLY PULLED THIS S#!T. As if they didn't realize that *every other business that has deals on Groupon* specifies 'NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY' if they don't want previous customers to buy multiple vouchers, over time. '1 per customer' and '1 per household' are NOT the same as 'valid for NEW customers only.' '1 per customer' simply limits the purchaser to buying no more than one - of that SPECIFIC voucher. '1 per household' just means that the SPECIFIC voucher being purchased can only be applied to one household. As a merchant - that frequently utilizes Groupon - they should be well aware of these critical distinctions. What's worse - after I'd finished entertaining their incessant BS - another representative continued to antagonize me, via defensive emails that I had not solicited. Here's what I suspect: C&D know previous customers (based on their misleading fine print) will buy their vouchers again, so by telling these customers that they're "ineligible" to redeem another voucher (just a few days prior to the scheduled service) - that they'll need to pay C&D directly now (so C&D can avoid sharing those profits with Groupon, of course) - they know that, odds are, at least *some* of those customers will acquiesce, rather than trying to find - & schedule! - another cleaner at the last minute. Trust me, you're better off just picking up the next down-on-his-luck dude who offers to wash your windshield at a gas station - taking him back to your apartment/house - & paying him to clean it. Unlike C&D, he'll probably be ethical, straightforward, & grateful for your business. read more

Purchased a voucher through Living Social. They up sold me on another deal so I didn't get a chance to use my voucher even though I asked them to combine it with their deal. They reassured me that my voucher never expires. While the woman who came to clean for me was very sweet, she was super slow and was only able to get through my kitchen. When I tried to use my voucher for additional services, these people wouldn't pick up their phone or answer my texts. They are avoiding me so they don't have to refund $60 for my voucher and Living Social says there're nothing they can do about it. I warned Living Social that they appear guilty by association and that they should consider not marketing for this business. I SAY STAY AWAY!!!! I am pleased that my place got clean, I will tell you that. It was a process to get an appointment. It goes by a bidding system, which I didn't know until my preferred time wasn't being filled so I had to change the times and then I got someone. Tip: texting the company will get you faster results than calling, they usually go straight to voicemail and then they will call you back after a while The man who came to clean my place was very friendly and brought his own cleaning supplies. Clean & Nope!! If you want to pay someone to talk on the phone, go for it, otherwise... I really needed a deep clean of 2 areas. The kitchen and the living room window area of my small apartment. I made this quite clear when I booked the appointment. I had a credit from an unused Groupon and paid an additional $90 so I could have a full 5 hours to deep clean those areas. The young woman they sent was very sweet.She was not a house cleaner. She was also 15 minutes late and took an additional 15 minutes to park her car and go back for her supplies. I basically paid money to have my dishes washed and stove top cleaned. Most of the time she cleaned holding her cell and talking. Even when I started working on the windows myself and asked for help she stayed on the phone. Only in the last hour did she put some energy into helping me. The windows would not have been touched had I not been so frustrated I had to start them my self. I notified the company via text and voice message. I missed their return call. I was busy cleaning! They text me and said they reached out to her She took 2 additional phone calls after that. Before she left I opened the refrigerator and it had not been touched. I asked her and she said it was too dirty. I cleaned it in 20 minutes. I say this because she left about 20 minutes early or rather spent the last 20 minutes going through magazines I was giving away to take home. I was exhausted (I am recovering from cancer). She said there wasn't anything she could work on for that period of time. My kitchen which is tiny was left with a dirty sink, dirty floor, the refrigerator and oven not touched, not one cabinet or drawer wiped down. She spent 3.5 hours in the kitchen. As far as the windows, I took down the screens and washed them. I took down the curtains and drapes and washed them. I sprayed the windows from the outside to take the initial layers of dirt off them. All the things I was paying them to do. She did wash the window sills and help put the curtains back up. She did help remove some of the cob webs, albeit one handed while on the phone, so I had to get the rest. She did change 2 light bulbs after I asked her twice which meant she needed to get off the phone. Again she was very sweet, I bought her food when I ordered take out. I reached out to the company from 4pm to 7pm via text and frustrated voice messages. It wasn't until after 7pm when I sent a text asking if they were going to send out another cleaner the next day to actually clean or if I should cancel my payment and hire another company, they responded. We closed at 6, someone will get in touch with you first thing. And yes, it needed a deep clean that is why I overpaid for 2 areas. I gave her a meager tip as she did help hang the curtains and she was sweet. If I had not been so exhausted before she left and gone into the kitchen I would have noticed the dirty, floor, sink, oven and refrigerator. The fact that no one from the company had the decency to call me back after 3 hours of trying to reach them only added to the disappointing experience. Lastly they won't send out another cleaner to at least give me what I paid for or refund me my money AND they are contesting my attempt to recoup my money from Paypal/Chase. Good thing I have witnesses & documentation. RECAP: 15 minutes late (documented on my phone log) 15 minutes to park and then go back a second time to get her supplies 2.5 hours on personal phone calls Last 20 minutes looking through magazines to take home because she didn't want to start or work on anything else. $150+ (groupon plus additional $90) time & money wasted Company never addressed or apologized or rectified lack of professionalism for employee on phone. I rarely leave yelp reviews but feel it necessary to proceed with caution. I first came across them on Groupon. I paid for an additional two hours on top of my Groupon charge. I was hosting a birthday party that day and needed assistance cleaning prior. On my actual birthday, the cleaner was suppose to arrive at 9am. She did not show. I called, the company tried to rearrange. It wasn't until 3pm she showed. Not only that but poor time management, awkward social interactions and insufficient cleaning services left me calling the manager the following work day in which I received only a $30 refund. My friend referred this cleaning service. She spoke very high of the company because she knows the owner. I purchased 4 hours and told the cleaning lady to focus on the kitchen, the bathroom, living room and dining area. She was slow she did the kitchen and bathroom. I helped her with the kitchen. The day before my Thanksgiving guest arrived I was struggling to get the house in order. This was a very disappointing experience. I will never use this cleaning service again. I purchased this service with a Groupon. Setting up the service was very easy. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. I was having an empty, remodeled apartment cleaned for a new tenant. A lovely person arrived a bit after the scheduled 8 am time. (I was made aware she was running a little late). It was really just a very small kitchen and bathroom. Interior windows and fan. She comes down at exactly 10 am a bit short of the two hour time. I go upstairs to take a look. I peek at the toilet and she had forgotten to clean it. Overall, it was a very mediocre job. Sub par cleaning products were used (Fabuloso). I had to go up to the apartment and clean the refrigerator/kitchen thoroughly. It was a very surface cleaning. THE WORST CLEANING SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!! The technician arrived late, appearing high and wreaking of marijuana. I prepaid for 5 hours of service and half way through she called me to say she was overwhelmed, and that I should purchase more time. I arrived later to find my 2 bedroom, vacant, unit had not even been swept, vacuumed or even had the counters wiped at all. It was clear that she took off after maybe an hour or less worth of cleaning. I complained to the owner who first tried to disguise her voice with a phony British accent, then when I told her that I recognized her she immediately became extremely belligerent and defensive. She didn't offer to personally assess the job or look at before-and-after photos. She began cursing and screaming after I demanded she rectify the matter or refund my payment. First off I would like to apologize for this novel of a review. But unfortunately there's a lot to say. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I've used them twice and the first time my "cleaner" left my service 30 mins earlier (which I paid for) to do my neighbors apartment. The second time I used them I tried booking almost 2 months in advance and they continued to tell me that I would be fine that they would get back to me. Which they never did. I continued to ask if I should just go somewhere else because they were so busy and I was reassured MULTIPLE times that I would have the "BEST" cleaner and extra time. ETC. Well The day of my appointment, that I had to fight for, my "cleaner" did not show up. I had to wait 2 hours before they could take care of things. Which was obviously too late because I work like everyone else. Well I asked the "cleaner" to call me when she got in so I could walk her through what I wanted. She didn't of course. I had to track her down. Then she didn't listen to me. I specifically said I need the base boards and floors cleaned. It was the most important thing to me. If she didn't do anything else on my list, btw I gave her a very detailed list that was even prioritized, I wanted the floors done. Guess what was behind my trash can? Old food bits, dust, dirt, etc. The base boards are dirty and I'm on MY hands and knees scrubbing my kitchen floor right now. I wish I could add pictures to show you. But what would be the point? It would still be dirty which would defeat the purpose. On top of all this. She did clean under my couch and stuffed whatever she found behind my couch. BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE.
