Okay.... As much as I love this place and their bagels, I haven't been able to get cream cheese lately. Every time I come now, I get food poisoning. I love coming here when I have breaks in between classes! They have a lot of stuff on their menu and they're all pretty good. My favorite bagels are the sun-dried tomato and spinach parmesan! I usually get it not toasted since you can really taste the cream cheese a lot better than if you do get it toasted. The owners are really sweet too! The lady remembered me even though I haven't been there for almost a year (dieting lol) but she gave me a Snickers and told me to come study there if I ever needed a place to study lol how cute I definitely recommend coming here, especially if you need a quick breakfast or lunch. read more

The bagels are super tasty and the variety of flavors is awesome. Later in the day the amount of flavors for the bagels decreases, so for the most variety I would recommend an early morning visit. The service is friendly, and seems to be a small family owner joint. Love the vibe and the food. Definitely recommend to check it out for yourself. read more

Before I moved away a few years back, i came here just about every other day for a toasted bagel and cream cheese. Delicious! Since being back I've tried a few other items- greenhouse, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Overall I like it here, there's not too many options in the area. But if you compare this to Noah's or Boston's Bagel World...well this is definitely subpar. Stumbled onto this place while visiting Mt. Sac and I have to say what a find. Delicious, affordable bagel sandwiches. I had a eggl bagel with bacon and cheddar! Nice place to sit and eat. So I came in this morning expecting to find the older asian man working behind the counter. To my surprise, I found this bagel shop to be under new ownership and with a very updated and aesthetically pleasing renovation. I miss seeing the asian man behind the counter, but I have to say, I really don't mind this change. It looks like the new owners keep their bagel baskets well supplied. You will find the usual bagels that this shop used to have. I ordered the lemon pepper and the lox bagel. The lemon pepper is always good. The lox bagel was equally as delicious with just the right amount of toppings. I remember when I used to order the lox bagel from the older asian man, it would have an overwhelming amount of onions on top, but today, with these new owners, looks like they know how to really balance the flavors. I actually ate an entire half including all the toppings they placed on there! They also have this new drink called "Soda Bossa" that looked intriguing to me. If you're a soda lover but want to try to stay away from the sugar and calories as much as possible, try this drink. It's $2.99, a little pricey, but I believe it's imported from Brazil, so once in a while splurge is okay. I liked it! I'll be back for more bagels and "Soda Bossa" for sure! This is the absolute BEST bagel shop I have ever encountered! There is a wide variety of selections but I asked the young man who works there what he recommended and he told me to try the super Breakfast, so I did. It did NOT disappoint! I had it on a jalapeño cheese bagel and I've been hooked ever since. The best part about this shop is the Service! Amazing service from both the young man and woman who work there! They are super sincere and just overall really care about their customers. When I told them I was a vegetarian, they would ask me if they could add avocado for me at no charge. When they ran out of jalapeño cheese bagels, they asked if they could add jalapeños on the side for me or in my super breakfast which I thought was super considerate. Also, when they ran out of Colombian coffee after closing, they asked me if they could brew some more fresh coffee for me EVEN THOUGH their sign says they are closed after 2:30 and they still served me at almost 3pm. You don't encounter great service like this just anywhere. Couldn't recommend them enough!! read more

Wow. I feel bad writing this review because I can see that the owners are making an effort to do things well but it just goes to show you if you are going to put a 17 year old on the counter that person better be mature enough to handle the work. OK so here it goes, me and my fidgety eight year old son walk into this bagel place and we are the only one's in there. I place an order for a bagel sandwich and another toasted bagel and we sit and wait and wait and wait. This was the first sign of trouble. About ten minutes later we get our order. By this time one lady had come and gone and gotten her order other people started to walk in and place orders. Stupidly I placed an order for my wife to go in the midst of this...Big mistake. As an owner myself I was trying to entertain myself, looking around for decorating ideas, checking out the menu boards, the prices and watching the service all the while watching my son fidgeting saying stuff like, "Its just a bagel how long can that take." "Good boy" I thought! Just then we noticed our young cashier, lets just call her Heidi, now sitting way behind the counter, and she was preoccupied with her phone, and she appeared to be texting away furiously. My son and I were watching her incredulously as she kept going back to her phone every time it would buzz and she would drop what she was doing and head straight for the phone as quick as a cat. So i continued to sit back and observe with my fidgety son. Did I mention how fidgety he was.? One customer walked in and ordered 4 bagels, toasted with some topppings, a pretty simple order for a bagel shop. About ten minutes later it was ready and they take off. This is where the fun begins. The cook brings out another order and she looks inside and there's a big "oh oh" moment when she realizes she had given this customer the wrong bag, a bag full of someone elses bagels. The customer is in the parking lot turning on her car and about to leave. Heidi takes off and gives chase, catches up to her and gives her the correct order. Yeah everybody is happy. She walks in and sighs. What a relief! Oh wait...not so fast. When she comes back she realizes she forgot to get the other bag back from the customer (mensa) Instead of the old Kentucky exchange she did the old Lousiana double dummy dosedo(the old ddd for short), giving away double the amount of food to one customer while making everyone else suffer for her stupid mistake. (OK I may have done this once or twice myself but i swear there were more than two tickets up). This is the owners worst nightmare, giving away free food to one customer while pissing off all your other customers by making them wait. But Heidi calmly walks up to the couple whose order went flyng out the door with a big carefree smile and says "whoopsi" or something to that effect. "We'll make it again." Its almost as if she's had a lot of practice saying that phrase. "We'll make it again." Id almost prefer if she had said "Hey you're in Walnut California, what you'd expect? Shit happens" Now the Chef has to make their order all over again and my to-go order gets delayed and delayed and delayed. My son's words are now etched in my brain and I keep replaying them over and over again, "Its just a bagel how long can that take?" i just want to get the heck out of there. AWWWWWWGHH! So now Heidi goes back behind the register and starts: a) Cleaning the counter, b) helping the Chef catch up with the orders, c) taking inventory ,d) texting. If you guessed (d) you are correct. As people are coming in and ordering she is going back and forth between the register and her phone. I dont know how I held back and not chewed her out for all the small businesse owners everywhere but this girl was having a text party, texting her friends, screwing up orders, apologizing. All in a days work. Just then I noticed the cook had placed two baskets in the service window finally this pooor couple whose order got bushwhacked would get there food but it just sat there, now mind you these were the redone, reformatted, new and improved corrected orders that flew out the door by mistake and they just sat there getting cold while this girl texted away. She has no clue how horrible she is, she has no desire to do her job right, she's just there in Walnut, California waiting to pick up a check. We finally get our bagel to go and we finally leave and much much later in the day my wife made a one of those scrundgy faces when I asked her how it was. "Eez allright" she said." She didn't like it, but I liked mine but then again I am a guy. Put toasted bread and mayo together and its like f'n Christmas I mean you can't mess that up. But here's the balancing act. Is this bagel so good to make me go back to Walnut, California and put up with that really really bad service again? Unfortunately the answer is drum roll please, uh, no of course. I love coming to Clearwater bagels when I need a quick bite in the morning. It's a small mom and pop store and the owner is so kind. I got an americano bagel on plain and a rosemary bagel with cream cheese and it did not disappoint! read more

This was my favorite place for breakfast when I was going to Mt Sac. I love their bagel sandwiches and the orange juice here. I remember I was just scared to eat inside sometimes cause there would usually be a few bees inside at the windowsill for some reason every time I went (and I've been here like 15 times during my one year of living in walnut). We usually make a detour when me and my bf are going to Disneyland and stop here and I think there is new management but the bagels and juice were still the same as I remember it. My boyfriend really likes it here too and he stops by when he's passing by on work days. The service is lacking and sometimes it takes a little while for the person working behind the counter to acknowledge you but otherwise than that I had a good experience with this place read more

I love this place! My friend and I come to this place about twice a week before we go to work and as we walk in Andy, the owner never fails to greet us with a smile. We also met his wife, a very nice lady. Clearwater has the best, freshest and delicious bagel, hands down plus service is great. This place reminds me of the theme song on a tv show that goes" Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came".
