We hadn't been here in many, many years, so it was nice to reconnect. This is such a cool, historic building! We came here for lunch during the week and the place was absolutely packed. We put our name in and were seated after about 20 minutes. I had the turkey club, and chose to get it on a croissant. The turkey is made in-house and is fresh & flavorful. Overall, it was a fantastic sandwich. I also love that you get several choices for side items with your sandwich. I chose the broccoli medley, which was steamed broccoli, peppers, and sugar snap peas. A very nice change of pace from typical French fries. Went on a Saturday night in September. Had 6 people and wait was about 50min. Our server was awesome despite it being busy. Very attentive, checking on us frequently. The food was above average, but nothing to write home about. I had the chicken pasta, which reminded me of an elevated Chili's dish. I go often!! Many times I order the quesadilla with chicken. Per usual early Sunday I did and was sooo disappointed as they now use shredded chicken. Normally Clementines is amazing but this last time has been the absolute worst experience I've ever had. Fist the hostess was skipping parties and my wife had to ask what was going on. She was polite about it so that was good. We finally get seated after almost 40 minutes of waiting. The waitress came over and took our drink order and we also ordered onion rings as well. It took almost 40 min for the rings to come out. Then our dinner...what a disappointment. I got the Cajun chicken pasta and my chicken was cold. Like it was sitting for a long time. The fries i ordered also were like gummy in texture. My youngest son got mac and cheese and it was basically kraft Mac and cheese and it was cold! He didn't even touch it. My oldest got a burger he ate it but he wasn't happy. My wife her steak wasn't to her liking. We've never had a bad experience like this. They keep saying they got a new system that's causing issues in the back. They need to go back to the old ways. They used to have stellar perch and walleye dinners, which we both ordered for lunch yesterday and they were subpar to say the least. The wall light was overcooked and dried out, and the perch was definitely not fresh. The best thing we had was the steamed unseasoned broccoli. Also, it doesn't matter if the restaurant is half full, they will make you stand outside and wait so that it appears to be a place that is in high demand. Instead, go down the road to 3 Blonds Brewing. The food was excellent! I had the ribs with a side salad and truffle fries. Hubby had the chicken bacon ranch Panini with a side salad and we split the artichoke dip. Everything was lovely. I have had less expensive food that was better. The Reel perch was hard to eat with all the bones in it. The sides were okay but seem like nothing special or even homemade. Which if we were paying less I would take that into consideration. I think it's busy and popular because it's location and it's been around awhile. I don't want to see locally owned business go away. I don't know why we just didn't eat here the whole time. Oh. My. Gosh. We came in because we were told we had to try the homemade onion rings. And then we had butterfly shrimp and also walleye. Get the walleye. I've never had better breading on a walleye. The baked potatoes are also excellent. The onion rings are amazing. I don't eat onion rings and I ate three or four, and they're huge.
