ClickAway on Winfield did get back to us about our issue; however ... they want to charge us more money to fix the problem that we were told was covered when we purchased a desktop and laptop directly from them. The personnel is clearly not the same personnel we dealt with when we purchased the desktop and laptop. Our tech back then (Alan) was so helpful and not about the money. The people/new management/new owners (don't know which) are now all about charging more and not about the quality of their service. read more

We've been using Click Away for many years now for all our computer fixing needs. We're consistently impressed by their great pricing, efficiency, and excellent repair skills. Yesterday, we dropped off our daughter's computer because all of her college work had accidentally been deleted. You can imagine the state we were in! The employees, and particularly the manager Anthony, were so good at calming my daughter down, assuring her that they would do their very best to recover her data, and promised to assess the situation promptly so she wouldn't be without the work she needed for her classes. If you're looking for a shop that can repair your electronics then look somewhere else... unless you're okay with waiting two weeks. Took them a couple of days to figure out what's wrong with my PC which is understandable but, one problem lead to another which caused me to have to run around the city looking for replacement parts. Once I was able to retrieve the parts needed to fix my PC, they still treated my PC as low priority. It doesn't take a whole day to install a CPU, CPU cooler, and install windows. I called them to ask if I could pick up my PC so I can do it myself but I'll still be getting charged $49.99 for installation that took the whole day apparently, what a great deal!! Basically, if you like getting robbed of your time and money I definitely would recommend this place for your repairs! On the other hand, if you prefer somewhere quicker without unnecessary charges then I would recommend looking else where. read more

**04/05/14** So My 2008 HP Pavilion has been acting up again. Slow boot times and other oddities. I don't have the time I used to have to do my own tune-up and other stuff on PC's. So I rely on Click Away for my PC needs. This time however it was discovered that my OEM Seagate 750GB Hard Drive is failing. My issues occurred after my vacation and that is when I decided to back my as much data I needed before I make a visit to Click Away. It took a while and with March being so busy personally this April weekend was the one weekend I had opened to do some important errands. The team was quick to have my PC replaced with a Western Digital 500GB HDD and it has since been running fine. Except that one time when it wanted to do a restore point after some internal repair. Odd? Yes? It's ok. Overall glad this company is around to fix PC's. Otherwise I would be cancelling alot of family time and for the reasonable price to have them do the repair. I find it convenient. Today I called ClickAway Computer to see if they could restore my Outlook email account to "send and receive" once again with my ISP. I talked to Edward Lizardo and he scheduled an on-site appointment for an hour and a half later. I was ecstatic to have a tech coming onsite in lass that an hour and a half later. My mothers computer was severely hacked by ransomware and I was unable to recover the home screen or get to a point where I could wipe it myself. I took it to Ashor at Click Away, who was very thorough at making sure everything was wiped clean. Additionally he helped me with a couple of specialized requests. Because I did not want to reinfect my mothers computer he assured me that installing the photos and documents on the computer would not reinfect my mother's computer but I was still hesitant on re-installing them. So to per my request I asked him to put these items on a separate external hard drive. I did not have a hard drive, so I went shopping for one on Amazon and he said that he would give me the same price as Amazon for the same hard drive Samsung 1tb. Additionally he re-installed Microsoft 365 and Norton antivirus. He sent all the software confirmations to my email so I was able to regulate the renewals of the software when the time came. He explained everything thoroughly (via -text - my request) and I felt very confident in what he was doing with my mom's computer every step of the way. The worst thing happened to me this week. I dropped my macbook pro in the parking lot. I knew it was bad, but later realized it was really bad news. I took my computer to a few places, one of which wanted to charge me $35 JUST TO LOOK AT IT. Another place estimated the repair cost to be $895, and was trying vehemently to sell me data recovery services. They told me my keyboard was water damaged, and the main board too, and the SSD hard drive crashed. Finally, on a friends recommendation, I took my Mac to ClickAway. I was skeptical at first but I was greeted very kindly and professionally by Ashor. I felt that working with this company, the customer's needs are first. Ashor took the time to explain everything, and even educated me on some things I did not know about my Mac. He called to give me the bad news. Drive failure. I mentioned that i might as well just go purchase a new Macbook Pro, and he was able to help me achieve a repair bill that matched my budget. So, long story short. Not only am I super happy to have my mac bac, I have a partner now for any issues that come up, and not have to pay dealer pricing at the apple store. I would like to single out the outstanding service I personally received from Store Manager Eddie Z. I'm almost 80, not tech savy, and had my older HP Windows 7 hard drive fail. Of course I did not have a current backup of data. The computer contained mostly word documents used to manage rental tenant info and communications. Very important to me. I paid my $99 dollars to diagnose the problem. Hard drive was defective, and data severely corrupted . Being retired, on Social Security and having a bad year, I was unable to afford the price quoted for recovery, and asked that I just pickup my laptop. . Eddie being kind, and sympathetic called me personally, and offered to substantially reduce the price, waiving the diagnostic fee, and provide the external storage device at no charge, Bottom line: Eddie did not have to do what he did, but he did. Click away is a large, competent company offering a multitude of services. They are also staffed with competent personnel. People like Eddie Z takes an efficient shop and makes it more than just a fair and trustworthy company. He makes it personal. I will continue to beat the drum of satisfaction every chance I get. This place is so full of SHIT that even Febreze cannot save it. They take extremely long to service your pc despite promising that they can fix it in a timely manner. Days became weeks as I continued to wait for a simple procedure to be completed by them. I called to see if they do free estimates. I told the gentleman I had a loose ground solder for an RCA. He said no problem bring it in. I dropped it off late on Thursday and told the lady checking me in the problem. I didn't get a call so on Saturday I called and was told someone would call me back. After several days of phone tag, someone told me they didn't open it up but it would be $495. $495 to solder a loose ground!!! I told them I would pick it up. WARNING!!! Do not go to this place, these people are either cheaters or unprofessionals (such level of unprofessionalism that they do not understand simplest things in computers). My computer suddenly stopped charging. I suspected that there is a problem either with a charger or some element where the charger is inserted (everything else was fine with my computer, it worked normally, except the fact that the battery finally died). I brought my computer to this company and after a day of investigation they said that the problem is not with the charger nor with the computer adapter, but some core modul is broken. And in order to fix it we need to order this replacement modul and the whole repairment process will cost more than a price of a new computer, around 500-800$ (!!!!). And it is not all. In order to recover the data from the broken computer we have to pay additionally 1200$. So around 2000$ all together!! However, if we buy a new computer from them, they will reduce the price of data recovering from 1200 to 900$. Fortunately, my husband understands something in computers, we did not do anything with them, just took the computer home. He just bought new adapter, tried to charge the "broken" computer and all of a sudden it worked! So now it is 100% charged and perfectly working. No need to restore data or repair it. If I would believe this people I would pay around 2000$. They probably get their profit such way, from people who do not understand themselves in computers and believe their words. read more

My Dell laptop stopped working so i took it here to see of it was repairable. I didn't think much of it because i though i needed a new computer so i was ready to ditch it if need be. I definately wasn't willing to put much money into it because i figured its probabily time for a new one. Anyhow, i get there as the owner looks at my computer, tells me it's actually a really good computer. He explains that if i expand memory and update the operating system the computer will last me another 6 years. Cost was extremely readonable and they had it fixed and ready to go in no time. Computer is running great! Its super fast; all issues are resolved. This place is the best! I highly recommend them. They're honest and good at what they do. I was told that a diagnosis would be free. I show up and then Ashor tries telling me it would be $195 to diagnose it. My computer is acting like it is getting 0 power. I asked him why it would be so expensive and he tried telling me he would need to trest every component individually. He said he would need to check the video card, ram, CPU, etc.. mind you, anybody who knows anything IT would know that a bad video card or bad CPU or bad ram would still act like it has power but would just fail to get past POST. I told him I tried swapping the PSU also so I just needed him to test the mobo, my connection, and the power button wire/connections. He said he cant test those things because he doesnt have the tools to test those things. Those are literally the only things it could be. So he was going to try to rip me off $200 to test a whole bunch of things it absolutely couldnt be but not test the things it could be. Waste of time and gas. Either they KNEW they were trying to rip me off or he was sincere about what he wanted to test but has no clue what hes talking about, and either way it's someone that shouldnt get any business of mine. read more

He said it was a failing disk drive, and gave me what I thought was a fair price to replace it. After changing my mind twice and a few more calls to Anthony, I decided to go with the repair.
