It has been so long! I used to go to Oceanic Foot Spa when they were located in Foster City and I was excited to see that they were able to reopen in Burlingame. I waited till I was vaccinated to make my first appointment. Scheduling has always been easy with their on-line scheduler and I am glad that they are honoring all their pre-paid and gift cards from their previous location. I rolled the dice, since I didn't see any of the previous people on the list from their Foster City location and chose Doug. He was amazing and I was really impressed. Writing an updated review to weigh in on their Burlingame location and to recommend Jason. If you have trouble spots and need a deep tissue massage, Jason is your guy. He has a gift for feeling where tightness is on your body. He's also a great communicator - he'll check in to see if the pressure is okay and ask where you'd like to be massaged if there's a little extra time. He uses techniques that really get into the muscles and sensed tightness in areas I didn't even realize were tight. He's also super polite. For parking, I recommend the lot across the street. It's metered but there are usually spaces. read more

I bought a gift package of foot massages and tip in cash (as requested), and find it reasonable. It's not a fancy place, but the vibe is relaxed, the place is clean, and the front desk is pleasant. They reminded us of their 20% reduced rate for referring a friend that expired on Sept 9th when checking out. The atmosphere was pleasant not "fancy" in the waiting room. It was clean and it is nice to have a water cooler for a quick drink. We were seen on time. The massage was very professional. The room and table were comfortable. I walked in on a rainy weekday afternoon hoping to do the 1 hour body massage special ($40 on Wed/Thurs), but unfortunately they only have 5 private rooms so I was out of luck. I was able to do the 1 hour foot massage for $30, which turned out pretty awesome. But next time I'll be sure to make an appointment! Overall, it's very clean and very quiet. The foot massage act starts with head/neck/arms while your feet are soaking. Then a bit more than half of the time was spent on foot massage, which was pretty nice, and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep for a bit. Been here ever since it opened up a few years back. They offer a bunch of spa services but I say most of the business they make is from their foot massages. It's a great place to treat yourself after a long week. Pro: super afforable! It's $25 for a foot massage if you come for their special on Monday and Tuesday I believe or if you get a gift card bundle (10 massages for $250 - well worth in my opinion). Booking an appointment isn't too bad. Usually if I call in the morning they can schedule me in sometime in the day. Fridays and Saturdays are their more busy days. The staff is also pretty to themselves and don't try to talk you too much, which is what I prefer. But some of the women are nice and make conversation at the end. Con: it's near a bunch of restaurants and by the waterfront so sometimes you can hear kids running around and adults talking, which can take away from the experience. I say if you let the receptionist randomly choose a masseuse for you, you're chancing that you'll get someone who pats you instead of massaging. Unless that's your preference. A year later and I tried out their new renovated location in Burlingame today. I really miss Foster City location, I think mainly because the space was open and had a gentle breeze and you didn't feel closed in. I had a 10:00am 40/40 foot and body. I booked it with Amy in which I thought was the same lady I always had back in Foster City but it wasn't the same person and so I was a bit disappointed. The massage was nice but I really miss the old staff. There was a Sharon as well. My regular go to because they knew my body type very well and knew where I was tight. I didn't like the metered parking. I am so bad. Being honest about the significant amount we are already spending on food and basic necessities, especially to get a relaxing massage. I usually use the restroom before I start and it was weird to see a shower stall. I was thinking what kind of place did this use to be! I did not feel the atmosphere was inviting enough when you walk in. The flooring was not carpeted, just regular tiles. The rooms were quite small and I just didn't feel the same relaxing vibe. I think it would be nice to offer disposable slippers after the foot massage to walk over to the other room for a body massage instead of slipping back on my shoes again. When you leave, they usually wait for you and offer water but I didn't get that service today. It just felt different. Perhaps I'll bring my fiancé the next time to see what he thinks and give it another try. read more

She was very rough and i was squirming in pain for 25 out of the 30 min of my massage. I asked her 3 times to go lighter with the pressure and each time she seemed to get more aggressive i was counting the minutes until i was done, i was honestly in so much pain I'm so sad. I have read a lot of reviews on this place. I've been wanting to try this place. A couple weeks ago, I felt like my shoulder and neck were really tight. I really needed a body massage. I know that they have a deal on Wednesday and Thursday for their body massage. I booked about an appointment about a week before for a body massage. The online system was very confusing. It showed that there were a couple availabilities. I did my research and picked a massage therapist and successfully booked an appointment. On the day of the event, I ran into a little traffic on Hillsdale 101 exit. I got there and checked in. Since I was a little late, I told the receptionist that I had an appointment and she told me to wait. Someone led me to a general public area and had me lay down. It felt odd because, from my past body massages, you would be in a room and take your clothes off. I thought this place was slightly different then. At the end of the massage, I wasn't very happy because the therapist did not work on my back or shoulder at all. I asked the receptionist and she said that I booked a foot massage. WHAT? Maybe I should have check when I checked in, but the confirmation did not say anything about whether it was a foot or a body massage. And the worst part is, I did not even get a full hour of massage at all. After the massage, there was an automatic email sent from them asking for my experience and said that if I had a problem, please let them know first before writing a review. Well, I did, I responded to their email and I have not heard back since. tl;dr - don't use their online booking system. did not have a good experience. read more
