I've been coming here for awhile and thought I'd finally write a review. This is a legit place and the prices for the massages are really hard to beat. It is clean and comfortable and the therapists I've had have been excellent. I was a regular for Amy (I don't think she is at this location anymore) and am a regular for Cindy and they are outstanding in deep tissue. Cindy is a master at her craft and as a distance runner she is able to effectively work out all the knots and bring my muscles back to life. I really think both Amy and Cindy are among the best massage therapists I've had (and I get a lot of massages because of my running). Both of them were very good at checking with you on the pressure and she really spends time to work your muscles. I highly recommend and I will keep coming back! Thank you Cindy (and Amy)! read more

Better than I expected! It has been many many years since I have gone to this foot spa. While there are others in the room while you receive your treatment, the setting is very relaxing. Yes, everyone is wearing a mask. The facility is clean and the environment serene. Easy to get an appointment online or you the mind-body app. My service was provided by Amy, and she was fantastic. Ummmm, YES. Go here. As often as you can afford (hint: they are very reasonably priced). I just had a foot massage yesterday with one of the newer gals. It was literally the best experience and much needed. After hours in front of a computer screen, you don't realize what happens to your neck, shoulders and upper body. So yes, this business says "foot spa" in their name, but think of it like this . . . all things are connected and good clinicians realize that. I came home yesterday and my husband saw how relaxed I looked (I also felt 10 years younger) and he said "please get me their phone number so I can make an appointment. I want to feel/look like you." We are back in the Bay Area. Both my husband and I grew up here, and get back when we can to see family. This week we get to hang with my brother and sister-in-law. After an afternoon of visiting two gardens, and a Cuban restaurant lunch, they planned a surprise visit to the foot massage spa. It was a gift for Dear Hubby's birthday. What a wonderful treat! I haven't been for a foot massage in years. This is the best experience I've ever had at one of these types of establishments. It was roomier than what I've tried in the past, and more nicely appointed. Upon checking in, I saw discreet signs asking guests to whisper only. It definitely was a tranquil experience. My brother and husband were shown to two adjoining tables on one side of the room. Sister-in-law and I were on the other side. I explained to my masseuse that I have a broken toe. She wanted to know which one, and did a great job of working around it, while still providing a very thorough massage treatment. Statting with a foot soak in warm, soothing water, my temples and scalp received the first attention. Shoulders, arms, and hands were next. Then the feet came out of the soak, and calf massage began, followed by lots of attention to the feet themselves. A soothing lotion application added to the relaxation. The most challenging part of the hour was finding enough strength to turn over. The last part of the treatment is back massage. Though it's over the clothes, it's still effective and swoon-inducing. I had been very stiff and sore from riding in a small car before getting to Oceanic. After an hour of pampering, I felt so much better. What an effective treat! read more

I was a walk-in and was able to get an appointment right away. I got a 60 min foot message with Tim. It was in a room with about 6 massage beds. The beds appear new & clean. I booked two 90-min foot massages for my boyfriend and I and our masseuse was an older lady named Maggie and a younger one named Helen. The masseuses led us toward a larger room in the back and Maggie pretty much didn't care for our existence because she let the door close on me while I was following her from behind. The massage room took place in an open area with multiple beds so it was spacious and very cold. Throughout the massage I kept tucking my arms underneath my body to stay warm and I was wearing long pants and a turtleneck. After the massage, my boyfriend told me that it was cold and he almost never says that he is cold. Maggie was my masseuse and she had a good amount of strength and was very thorough with getting my kinks out. I fell asleep a couple times because I felt so relaxed. However, my boyfriend did not enjoy his massage at all with Helen. I'm not sure if she was half awake during the massage or had thought that my boyfriend was asleep so she was trying to conserve energy, but my boyfriend said he didn't feel anything on his feet or body. He basically just felt her touch with no pressure at all. The only time he felt some strength was when she was using her elbows on his back. Although the prices were quite reasonable, he felt that it was a waste of money because he felt like he didn't get a massage. We normally go to Deluxe Foot Spa in SF, but their prices went up so I wanted to try a new place. NEVERMIND! Despite the slightly higher prices and loud surroundings, we'll most likely stick to getting our foot massages at Deluxe Foot Spa. read more

have been to the foster city location years ago before they relocated. just revisited for the first time at the burlingame location and it was nice. did a 60 min deep tissues couples massage and my boyfriend said his was a bit too harsh and the massuse didnt have good english to communicate that, but mine was just right. at the rate, i think i will make it a monthly habit. i will say that theyre pretty pushy with their tips and to make sure you bring cash!! read more

I can't believe I'm just not finding this GEM!! It's right next to the UPS store and I've passed it many times... finally in an act of desperation, really, I found it and I'm a believer! I had "slept wrong" and kinked my neck the night before, then hurt myself at work (I've been a nurse 15 years but did something I never should have and I knew it- I pulled a patient up in bed by myself ) ... I woke up hardly able to get out of bed. I searched online for anywhere near me and open early- I was able to make an appointment at oceanic online for that morning, and the practitioners have little bios- I chose Jerry because of his bio, and he was FABULOUS, but I'd wager every person there is great. COVID APPROVED! They had a super easy online booking system. I was greeted politely and seen right away! Everyone was wearing masks and the facility was very clean and smelled nice. They had markers on the floor, had me sign a waiver regarding Covid symptoms and heath and took my temperature. All these safety measures really made me feel comfortable in this environment. During the massage, mask on! Don't worry- not the worst in the world, you'll get used to it. When you're face down, you can slip the mask off. I saw Cindi and she was great! She checked on the pressure a few times and I left feeling so relaxed. Worth the 25 minute drive up from Sunnyvale and the price is a steal. So glad I found this place. I've been here twice, once last year for a Swedish massage with Amy and another time more recently with my boyfriend when we got a couple's massage. He got a Swedish with Helen and I got a deep tissue with Eva. I had a positive experience both times and so did my boyfriend when we went together. We were both very much in need of a pampering massage, me especially because I have a lot of chronic back stiffness from desk work every week, and we came out very relaxed and happy. If you are looking to book a couple's massage, I recommend calling to book instead of booking online. When I called to inquire about a couple's massage, the receptionist told me they only have one couple's room and recommended making the reservation over the phone and specifically asking for the couple's room to ensure it's available at the time you want it. You unfortunately can't reserve the couple's room online, you can only choose your massage therapists. I called back to book and had no issues with the reservation. I will say the only thing my boyfriend and I had mixed feelings about was that the spa very much expects you to leave a cash tip and a pretty hefty one at that (they suggest a $15+ tip for a $60+ 1 hour body massage). So not only is it expected, but I was worried about coming across as stingy if I tipped any less. My boyfriend felt he shouldn't be expected to tip so much if he felt he wasn't satisfied with the service. Thankfully, we didn't have any issues with our experiences and so were fine with the tips we gave. And this spa already has the lowest prices for massages that I've seen, so I feel you get a pretty good deal overall. read more

1st time to try Oceanic Foot Spa since we didnt want to drive all the way to our massage spot in San Leandro. It was okay as I felt more "shakened" than being massaged. Idk why, but I think the massage technique he used was like that? And also, he was very harsh when he wiped my body with wet towels. When I get massages, I always check what time they start massaging. The time slot we booked was 6:30 but they started massaging us at 6:45pm. But they ended exactly at 7:30pm. Luckily, the receptionist was nice enough to give us 10% discount. Me and my family's been going to one massage place in San Leandro. Not as fancy as Oceanic's Foot Spa but will definitely still go to San Leandro. This is an average place for me, if you're not getting massage regularly. read more

Oceanic Spa Manager, I and two friends visited your spa last night for a 60 min Hot Stone Foot & Body Massage priced at $40 on your website. I called in at 10 am and asked for specifically that and was booked accordingly. My sister then called several hours later and also booked in for the same service. Our service was not as expected. We each received about 5 minutes of hot stones, and I personally never received any sort of foot massage. They never once touched my feet. Upon departure, we were notified by the receptionist that our charge would be $45 each not $40. We showed her the photo from your website and she proceeded to call you. However, you were not willing to honor the mistake that you have made as a business. This is called false advertising. Legally, you must honor your advertised prices. We have been loyal customers of yours and we enjoy your services, which is why it was shocking that you would not honor the listed price. Mind you it was just $5.
