I thought that I'd have a great experience at this place due to a lot if the 5 star reviews, but this place is not good. Heres why: I was not informed of a last minute cancellation for the FEMALE massseuse only that I requested. They should've asked me before I got there if that was OK or not. I just had a bad experience with a male massage therapist recently, so that is why I requested a female one. The last one wasn't physically inappropriate, but he did make a rude comment to me last time & he didn't seem to concerned about hurting me. Anyways, this guy I got hardly spoke English. None of them do. I decided to try him against my better judgment. They give you a form to fill out to where you'd like to be touched & not touched. I did not fill out anything beliw the waist. My massage therapists name was Jack. He touched my butt 3 times. I said no clearly and even made hand motions! Then after the massage was done, he touched me on the shoulder when I was looking for the bathroom. I don't want to be touched after a massage. He needs to respect personal space & boundaries. I tried to get away from him, but either he is very clueless or just plain rude & disrespectful. I'm guessing it's the latter one. I didn't say anything at the time, but the mire I thought about it, the less I thought I was being to sensitive. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first which was stupid. That was NOT ok! I should NOT have to tell him Not three times! I was wearing pants & they supposedly told him where to massage me & where not to. Either he didn't listen or he is unable to follow instructions which isn't good. What a creepy weirdo! To make things worse, the manager is never there. I told them what happened & I received no apology. I just got a few lame ass apethetic ums & that I needed to email the manager. He should've called me back after two days. I won't waste my time with a manager who is never available. It's obvious that they can afford to blow people off as they get a lot of repeat business since they're cheaper than most places. The young people working there are apathetic. I'm not expecting them to be bubbly, but at least show concern for the customers! Don't just say um & tell me to email the manager. I booked a 90min massage with Coco and it was great! I didn't know who to choose since everyone seems to have great reviews so I chose the first available female and Coco did not disappoint! There's a diagram at the front desk where you can circle your pain points before your appt and I circled my back. Coco knew exactly where to work on just by feeling where my knots were, I didn't have to tell her anything. She spent a good amount of time on my back which felt great! As she was working on my back, she was asking me if I'm ok along the way. The front lobby, private massage room, and bathroom were all kept very clean and made it a relaxing environment. I've been to a few massage places and this one so far is one of the top ones in the area. If I could, I would go every week, next time I do go, I'll be sure to book with Coco again. read more

Now if you're looking for all the frills of a Burke Williams massage or something comparable, this ain't the place for you ...I've done both and much prefer my massages at Oceanic + the value is just insane. The place is clean, the front desk is managed well, and they make booking online so easy. My first visit was through a promo, went a couple more times after that and now I'm on my second 10 pack of 40/40 massages. Safe to say, I'm a happy customer and leave feeling so much better after every visit. I alway fill out the board ahead of my massage, sharing where I want more emphasis, areas I don't want massaged and what kind of pressure I want. There is no more bang for your buck and I tip well above the 20% given how labor intensive this work is and how great of a deal you get, treat your people right! read more

But I know, my last minute Appt idea only allowed a 30 min foot massage. 30min s should be 30+ to Allow getting supplies ready. Otherwise, clients are getting approx 20min massage massage. This review is overdue! I'm so glad I found Michael at Oceanic for deep tissue massage. I have always had a lot of chronic tension and muscle pain, especially in my upper back. It causes wicked headaches and limits my mobility at times, so it's a big deal for me to find something that really helps. Michael has been a true partner in healing my chronic tension and body pain, he is a truly outstanding masseuse. He targets areas with extra tension and works on them with determination, like he really cares about me feeling better. He is obviously very technically skilled but also seems to have a great intuition and magically knows how to help. Even though I've been going to Michael for months, sometimes he will pull out a cool new technique. I usually get a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and not a minute goes to waste, it feels like 3 hours. It's truly healing and being able to visit Michael regularly has made a huge difference in my overall quality of life. PS. I have been a faithful customer to Oceanic Foot Spa since they opened in the Almaden Plaza near Costco. Now, they are located on Union Ave. I loved buying their packages of 40/40 and the foot massage at the end of the year so I can keep coming for my 90 min foot massage (1 hr is too short, 90 min is perfect) . Wish they offer 90 min foot packages too!! I love having my 90 foot massages with Jack, Michael or Cindy and my 40/40 with Cindy . They are my to go masseuses! However, all masseuses are great there too.. So, if they are not available, I just go to one that's available. They able to identify what's needed for my body and work on that specific area (s) a little longer with diff strength or storks.. If you just want a good quiet massage without all the fancy stuff (steam room, hot tub, etc), this is the place for the value! I have been to other foot massages in the bay area as well but they are noisy! . For foot massage is in a big room but is quiet so you can enjoy a good foot massage with soothing music in the background.. Then they have private rooms for body massage with nice comfortable bed and cozy warm blanket. . The bed where you lay feels more sturdy. The therapists step outside the room fewer times, if at all. It's hard to find parking sometimes. It helps ease the mind when you go after Costco has closed so there's more parking and fewer cars buzzing around. The tables have heated pads and I am always asked if I am cold/would like the heated pad. I see Rita 99% of the time. She knows exactly where my injuries are and my tightness. She has warm, strong hands and does deep tissue massage better than anyone I have ever seen, anywhere. The pricing at Oceanic is the best pricing you will find, especially for what you get. I love that I can get into Oceanic with little notice. You never know when you'll get a tension flare up and I'm glad that I can get in here asap to address the problem. Pressure is generally deep/strong so if you bruise easily or it's too much for you indicate that ahead of time on the card you can fill out beforehand.
