I went last night for my best friends 21st birthday for both of our first time here. I wasn't even in the facility for 10 minutes and the bartender was very rude. We ordered two whiskey sours which the bartender did not make correctly. He made whiskey w soda water which was trash. My friend got a beer and I told him we are all paying separately. I was holding my card in my hand and he grabbed it and swiped it for all of our drinks. I was so upset and tried to ask him if the $15 charged was for all of our drinks but mid sentence he walked away to help someone else. What kind of customer service is that?? I've only been to Club 54 three or four times but each time I go it is always a fun time. The pricing on drinks are decent, it's the typical price you would get charged for when you go out. I love how there are three levels with each level playing a different kind of music. The security guards and bartenders are friendly and the GM, Alex, is wonderful. Last time I did go to Club 54, I lost my phone. I emailed them and Alex was quick to respond and help me. Turns out, my phone was turned in during the night and Alex made sure it was safe. The next day, I was able to pick it up. Club 54 is the place to go if you are looking for a place to have fun, go dancing and enjoy your night. read more

I went here on a Thursday night for a girl's birthday and it was not turnt up. Other floors were closed down because it wasn't packed enough. It's probably a matter of preference because the girl who celebrated her birthday really likes this place but I don't. Layout of the 1st floor was like one long room with a dancefloor at the end. The place seemed like a bar that's a wannabe club. There's tables opposite the bar but I can't imagine anyone who'd want to get table service here. Music that night was hip hop from the last decade - old stuff and new stuff. Drunk arab guy tried flirting with me and my friend, ended up spilling some of his drink on me. Please, hold your liquor. My friend wanted to include in the review - "Ok may I include How the bartenders try to lure ppl to come buy a drink.. I mean com'on!! How anxious is this place with paying their bills on time?" We were approached by one of their promoters while walking around Old Town Pasadena. With his pitch of no entrance fee and drink specials we were in to check it out. Free before 10:30PM and drink specials. Not sure what the drink specials were but we ended up with 2 jameson on the rocks for $16, which is pretty standard. We were there for about 45 minutes and the music they had were pretty much hip hop and a bit of edm. I saw people vaping inside the venue and the staff were just hanging around. Didn't seem professional at all. The venue is nice though. It was well kept with a spacious dance floor. The place was dead when we were there but got crowded and a line started forming. Came here on a Saturday on a first date. We arrived at about 8 pm. It was a great time to sit by the bar and talk before it got too crazy and loud. I was afraid I was going to hate the 20s crowd and music, but I was pleasantly surprised. They played a good mixture of 90s to today. The top floors both played mostly hip hop, but the downstairs played mostly salsa. The drinks were not bad. Maybe a bit more alcohol, but overall ok. Not sure about cost though, since I didnt pay. What a night....I left this place fearing for my life. We've been here before and had a great time, the Cover is usually $10 to get in, the place seemed like it was overfilled and over capacity. Everyone was a drunken mess! There's always a creepy old man wearing a sailor hat hitting on all the young girls, funny to watch. There are 3 floors, the top floor was OVER CAPACITY the security wasn't enough, the exit stairs were blocked! I took a quick peak in and saw that it appeared to be a nice lounge where we could sit and catch up. Impressed, we took note of it and said we would come back the next day when we had time for a drink. On the way back to my friend's apartment we passed this place again. I came here to drive one of my friends that just turned 21. It's his 21st, so I figured, why not? The bartenders were cool, the dance floor was poppin and the bathroom line actually ran smooth (as opposed to most lines in LA). Vibes in general were chill, but that changed when I stepped out back. One of the bouncers in the back was treating me like I was just some random drunk idiot even after I explained to him that I literally JUST got there. Obviously, in any club, it gets pretty hot inside because of the massive body count; so I decided to take a breather out back past the bathroom. As soon as I take a couple of steps off the stairs in the back, one of the bouncers approaches me and says, "Hey! I told you three fucking times, you can't be out here!" Clearly, he mistook me for someone else, so I calmly explained to him multiple times, "I just stepped outside to take a quick breather. I literally just came outside a few seconds ago." He completely ignored me, and continued to insist that I was the person he apparently told three times not to be outside. Continuing to ignore me, he kept repeating that he saw me multiple times and was about to kick me out of the club until the birthday boy came up to him and told him that I came in with him not even half an hour ago. He didn't even apologize for his massive mistake. If Club 54 (or any club/bar, for that matter) wants to kick out the people who can't handle their liquor, that's fine; that's a standard for any club/bar so they can let more people in to have a good time. But don't treat people like they're insanely intoxicated if they're not showing any signs of it. I barely stepped outside for a few seconds and was being treated as if I was chucking bottles, puking or being a belligerent individual. I came here for the first time recently because a close friend of mine is leaving his work place for a new job and decided to have a fun get together to say goodbye to his old coworkers. I arrived around 11pm on a Friday night, the place was already popping. I see tons of people inside and the line is still getting longer. I realized there was a cover charge, $10 for women, and $20 for men. I think there's three levels here but I only went to the ground floor and upstairs. The music on the ground floor is hip-hop. It was pretty fun, but there was a really elderly man harassing people around him trying to dance with them... but I guess if an old man is still willing to get down at 60+ years old... then good for him? It just sucks cause it makes the other customers uncomfortable. The upstairs had more hip-hop mixed with EDM and I think more people liked that because the dance floor was more crowded than the downstairs one. There are stripper poles but you're not allowed to dance on them or else you'll get in trouble... why are they there then?! I liked that they had go-go dancers, they were hot and danced really well. There's also a restroom attendant that's really nice. My biggest con was the inconsistency with the drinks. I ordered one vodka red bull and one screwdriver downstairs and the bartender watered it down so much I couldn't even tell what I was drinking. However, when I went upstairs, the bartender there was able to make me a decent screwdriver. But, I still wouldn't say the drinks are strong. The price per drink is around $11-13 for a mixed drink. A little pricey, but that's how these places make money I guess. I think a fight almost broke out, but the security people quickly resolved it before it turned into a serious altercation, explaining why I barely noticed anything was wrong. The crowd was nice and the staff was friendly. I thought the bouncer at the door was funny, because he was staring at my friends ID for a really long time because he was skeptical that it was really her since she had a different hair color from the one in her photo. There are three areas with dance floors (3 levels), but I feel like they should close one of them on most nights since it makes the dance floors seem a little empty at times.
