Best chicken sandwich ever. They are in the midst of trying to merge this place with their new full restaurant Tonye's on Main Street in Fairport. Some building issues have forced them to close temporarily but still serving in the original Cluck if you Buck space. Also the wings can challenge any established claim best wing in Rochester. This is probably the best fish fry in Rochester! You can ask for extra sides of sauces and their sauces are pretty delicious. They don't put a lot of sauce on their chicken sandwich so I would recommend getting extra. The fries were cooked nice and crispy but not burnt. I love their lemonade as well. The mac n cheese (not pictured) was pretty flavorless though. If they added some kind of hot sauce to it, it would probably add a nice flavor. The ambiance is very casual so don't expect a nice sit down restaurant. There are tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the view of the canal. read more

Great food and fun place to hang out at the canal. Both the Nashville sandwich and wings were devoured instantly.

Overall, the food is quite good, but they have serious quality control issues. I've tried a lot, from the breaded and smoked wings, tenders, lemonade, sliders, mac and cheese, and once, the brisket taco. Smoked wings are what I want to like the most, and when perfect they're the best thing, but are frequently overcooked and dry. Breaded wings are fine, and also the only item that I've never had overcooked. Seasoning in general is good, very black pepper forward. Good variety of sauces. Mac and cheese was subpar, the cheese broke into a greasy oily mess, no velveeta or bechamel like cheese sauce to speak of. The spicy chicken sliders on the game day special ($2 a pop) is prob defiantly one of the best values, but their normal price (4$ a pop) is honestly quite awful. And I know that you're probably here for the fried chicken but don't sleep on taco tuesday or their other bbq specials. The brisket burrito is peak 2am food cravings grease bomb, unfortunately you cant get it then. I like the place but they have to tighten up. I really wanted to like this place based on what I had been told. The location right on the canal in Fairport is stunning. What killed it for me is there were 5 people in front of me and I was told it would take 20 min for my food to be ready, which seemed reasonable. I was there for nearly 50 min waiting for my food to come out. I had the smoked wings and tender plate with fries. Each wing looked like they were cooked differently some were black and others were golden. The fries were not crisp at all. Unless they figure out how to speed up the process I don't think I would be returning. If I had to wait 50 min with only 5 people in front of me I can't imagine what the wait would be with more people there. read more

Amazing customer service and the food us great. You also get to sit by the Erie Canal which us beautiful. Free games like Nintendo 64 and darts. The fries are SO GOOD. My husband wanted fried chicken for dinner and we decided to try this place. We got the chicken tender family meal. It came with 3 sides and we got Mac and cheese, fries and Cajun corn. It also came with 3 "hand squeezed" lemonades. This order came to $50 and I have to say, we were disappointed and will never eat here again. The chicken was all white meat, but it had a weird and dry flavor. I couldn't get over it. The Mac and cheese was grainy. The fries were a dark brown color, they weren't crispy and they certainly had no flavor. The corn was pretty good. Oh....my.....GOODNESS!!! This was the BEST food I have had in ages!!!! Collard greens were tender and tasty with a bit of zip, not oily, not too garlicky like some can be. Mac-N-Cheese creamy, flavorful, addicting! And the Spicy Chicken Sammie, well, beyond ridiculously good, juicy, tender, absolutely PERFECT. If you are debating the hand-squeezed lemonade, don't...just order it. Totally worth it. Unfortunately, after all the hype and newspaper article, I tried this venue recently. First impression was when 3 people were preparing my meal and none of them was wearing masks nor hand protection. With their bare hands they are applying tomatoes, fries chicken to my order. I thought this was a health dept requirement, at a minimum, for hand protection, let alone in the age of Covid. Once home the meal was average at best. It was not hot, even before the 2 miles drive home, and the fries/mac & cheese, corn were tasteless. Chicken had OK spices but nothing to support the "rave" reviews. My husband and I just ordered here for the first time and it was AMAZING. We ordered smoked wings, sliders, corn, mac n cheese, fries, and the spiciest chicken sandwich. My husband loves everything super spicy and the spiciest sauce did not disappoint. We're definitely full and still have leftovers. I dont even where to start. Person that answered the phone to take my order seemed like i was bothering him. He told me to wait and put the phone down so you hear background noise. Finally came back to take my order and was told 45 mins which seemed like a long time but ok fine. I arrived to pick up my order was greeted by a nice younger woman. As she is checking me out all I can hear is this guy behind her in the kitchen continously dropping F bombs. I really think he is the owner. I have my 10 year old daughter with me and told the woman that he needs to watch his language. She tried to smooth things over by stating he doesnt realize other people are around. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. When the man came out the kitchen and was standing right next to the woman I asked him to watch his mouth. He told me " I will get right on that" and kept walking. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. Lucky for me I'm not missing out because the food wasn't that good. The chicken was pretty good but the mac and cheese was a red pepper flake pasta side. It had no taste just heat.
