I also really needed napkins and ran into this chicken spot where they were more than happy to supply them unlike the Chinese food place next door. I ended up ordering food here as a result of their kindness and was not disappointed. I got the Chicken quesadillas, 2 piece Chicken plate and the loaded chicken nachos. I came here after sons football practice randomly and decided to try it out. Came here with no expectations and was surprised when the 2 breast chicken meal came out. Best chicken rotisserie in the IE and maybe Southern Ca. But the most impressive thing about this place is the owner Oscar. Got to talking with him and all I can say is we need more men like him in this world. Best customer service I have received ever!! Not only that he gives the leftover chicken to the homeless around the area cause he only sells fresh cooked chicken everyday. Bowls were big and a very good size uf you go on mondays they give u 2 bowls for $10 They are usally around 7 dollars so thats a good deal. It comes with rice , chicken , beans , and cheese. The burritos are a good size full you up. they only have a red burrito but the can also make u a green spicy wet burrito. They come with shredded chicken bowl , salad , burritos , enchiladas , and tacos. Overall place was clean and smelled good. I want to start off by saying that the crew here is first class. They are always friendly, polite and helpful. I had to be at a different place outside the area and I wanted to take a Fiesta pack to the get together, but they weren't open the time that I needed to leave in order for me to get there on time, well they were kind of enough to open earlier so I would be able to be there on time with the goods (Fiesta Pack).Now that I said that, the food here is always delicious and fresh. Every time I bring home or to any gathering everyone loves everything. The pollo is always juicy, tender and flavorful . The rice,beans and potato salad are always delicious. Disappointed all the way around. I ordered a chicken bowl for myself and a soft taco platter for my wife. What I saw next was an utter disappointment. I saw a tub of shredded chicken being taken out of a microwave. My bowl was then placed into the microwave, and that was followed by the soft taco platter being placed in the microwave. I've been to my share of rotisserie chicken places and I've never seen food being heated up in a microwave. If I wanted to microwave food I could have done that at home. This place gives me very much knock off "Juan Pollo" vibes. Came on a Tuesday and got the Tuesday special, 2 whole chickens, tortillas, and salsa for 21.99. I also purchased a medium potato salad and a medium rice. The chicken was good, super fresh, very tasty, but the sides? Not so much. The potatoes had no flavor and the rice tasted like white rice with yellow coloring. Maybe that's the way it's intended but if I am comparing to Juan Pollo where the rice is seasoned so well and the potato salad is so bomb, well this place just doesn't compare. I did eat and have no issues with the chicken but if I was to come back, then I definitely would not get the sides. Oh, and the salsa? So flavor either. My husband and I came here Friday 10/12 and ordered the Mini Meal (which easily feeds 2-3 people). The meal comes with salsa, tortillas, rice, beans and potato salad. We ended up getting double potato salad instead of beans. They do offer other menu items besides their chicken meals like tacos, burritos, chicken salad, tostada, nachos etc. So yes, it's very similar to Juan Pollo, but since Rancho doesn't have a Juan Pollo then I would compare it to Tasty Chicken on Baseline & Archibald (LOL). Overall, everything was really good. The chicken was tender, but not juicy. The rice did not have pieces of chicken in it but it was decent and nice consistency. The salsa had pieces of carrot in it and potato salad had small bits of black olive; just like Tasty Chicken. The potato salad was a tad on the bland side. A perk for the Cluck N Pollo is probably the location; interior is nice, plenty of parking as everything is new and spacious. In conclusion, I wouldn't hesitate on returning to eat here again if I were already shopping in the plaza. I may have to try a taco or burrito. However, on the actual chicken.... I think Tasty Chicken's skin has more flavor and I still like their potato salad better. read more

I ordered a chicken and rice bowl and a two piece meal which tasted bland. The chicken is dry and not much flavor. The rice was under cooked and again not much flavor . The rice and potato salad portion sizes are (ridiculously small). I would compare it to a kids size scoop of ice cream if that. I tried to eat my 2 piece meal only because I was hungry. Rancho has a handful of local spots to eat which are not part of a larger chain of restaurants. Cluck n Pollo is original, its locally owned, and the food is amazing. I've been coming here since they opened up and believe me when I say that this is the best chicken around. The meat is marinated perfectly. The chicken is slow cooked and literally falls right off the bone with little effort. The beans and rice are great sides as well but the star here is the Pollo. I've recommended this Cluck to numerous friends and family including some who are 99% vegetarian and they all love it. I like the combo meals but on Tuesdays they have whole chicken specials.
