Rancho has a handful of local spots to eat which are not part of a larger chain of restaurants. Cluck n Pollo is original, its locally owned, and the food is amazing. I've been coming here since they opened up and believe me when I say that this is the best chicken around. The meat is marinated perfectly. The chicken is slow cooked and literally falls right off the bone with little effort. The beans and rice are great sides as well but the star here is the Pollo. I've recommended this Cluck to numerous friends and family including some who are 99% vegetarian and they all love it. I like the combo meals but on Tuesdays they have whole chicken specials. So glad I had a lunch date here. I have been driving across town when this delicious spot was down the street all this time. The chicken is full of flavor, moist, and the skin has a slight crisp to it which I absolutely adore. Love the chicken rice and potatoe salad. The chicken burrito at this spot is everything here is cooked rotisserie style, so the flavor is off the charts. They offer two types of pico de gallo with the burrito. Ordered chicken combo was $45.99 was charged $47.60 plus another tax. When asking them they didn't know how to explain and the older lady was flustered, and was grabbing receipt out if my hand. It's the principal, should charge what is displayed on your ordering screen. When she tried explaining it to another associate, he just said thats how the guy set the machine up. If that's the case they need to update pricing and not display inaccurate pricing. i just feel that every time I come here I always have some issue, not sure why. What a bummer. read more

I'm pretty shocked to see the overall 4 out of 5-star reviews so far from 76 reviewers. Similar to Tasty Chicken, but with more items on the menu, so with a Mexican restaurant added in too. Save your money and just go to Tasty Chicken, Juan Pollo, Chipotle, Qdobe, and/or Cafe Rio...or heck even Taco Bell or Del Taco or anyplace else. Any of those places taste significantly better! I ordered quite a variety of food. The chicken isn't quite as good as Tasty Chicken or Juan Pollo. The rest of everything else is extremely bland and pretty dry. My burrito didn't even have cheese in it. They say they're a family-owned business since 2005, so if you like that homemade-type feel with meals that look and taste like you made them yourself at home with some of the dishes on styrofoam plates wrapped in plastic wrap, then this is the place for you. In fact, I'm sure many of us can make better-tasting and better-looking food ourselves at home. I ordered a good amount of food (low $40s) and they still couldn't throw in ANY sauces, I still had to pay extra for them. Their prices are a tad higher than Tasty Chicken. Customer service for me personally was the most minimal possible without completely ignoring the customer. No showing that they value you as a customer whatsoever. It's just a quick Hi, I pay, and I don't even recall them saying bye and sure no "thanks for coming". And that's when I was the only customer in the place. No smile really either and we all know that a smile goes a long way. There are way too many better chicken, Mexican, and overall other eating places in general right in the same vicinity, so I don't know how long this place will last. Guys this place is so good. I bought the two piece combo and the chicken I got was very hot and fresh and it tasted amazing with the rice, potato salad, flour tortillas, and the avocado sauce. For the combo meal it comes with a drink, and I chose the Horchata and I absolutely loved the Horchata, it wasn't super sweet or grainy. It was perfect for my taste. First time here. Had a similar vibe as Juan Pollo, but with way more menu options. Pros: 1. Way more menu options 2. Very clean 3. Customer service was good 4. Order completed in timely manner (I was the only one there at that hour, that may have helped) Cons 1. No TV to keep one entertained while waiting or if eating there Food: Now to the most important part. I ordered 2 items that were new to me there. 1. Chicken enchiladas with red sauce. These were surprisingly pretty good. You get 3 per order. I would order this again. 2. Chicken sope- this was meh. Bland, not allot of chicken, and the refried beans were bland. Even put their salsa on it and that didn't help. Cheese was skimpy and cheddar. Should be cotija cheese I'd pass on this. I'll give it a 3 because of the sope. Finally tried this place. It was good. The rice was undercooked. Just overpriced for what you get. Got the mini meal for $27+tax. What I didn't like is the 5% credit card fee. I would understand for a minimum. So, the mini meal came out to $31 w/tax & fee. I think I'll stick to Juan Pollo for food like this. Advise to owner, by the reviews here, a lot of ppl have issues with the prices, lower a few bucks & do not charge the credit card fee. It makes a customer not feel welcomed. You know when you had enough of chicken bowls and 8 piece meals for $22 and the chicken isn't crazy and basically the food isn't Mexican it's just mexi-American well I guess I got tired of El Pollo Loco and decided to try something new. And I must say the food was good. It felt like I was eating at my Tias house that had real plates and not the plastic plates and she marinated the food like a few days ago and it had actual flavor. Saturday I went in to do a large order fir that afternoon the woman in the register by the nane of Celia had no customer service at all. She was very rude not friendly at all. I asked if I could have paper plates for my guest she said snd I quote "no because with my ridiculously cheap prices I am not giving away plates go buy your own. I was like "ok"!!! When my husband went to pick up the chicken in the afternoon she also had an attitude with him. This place needs to get rid of this old hag and get someone with excellent customer service.
