Haven't been back in years and I forgot how good the food is here. The slightly fried ground beef and potato tacos are some of the best. They sure do pack a bunch of ground beef in those tacos. And the fish tacos are huge too. This place was my favorite for years but ever since the (boss lady) isn't there I have seen it getting worse hospitality wise so tonight my wife and myself stopped in ordered a drink and waited at least 20 minutes and never asked if we were ready to order and never offered chips and salsa I sadly have to say I will not be back! read more

The old location on Archibald is closed and so is the one on Ontario. Very sad to hear, but luckily they still have this one which I just went to after years of not going and the chips and salsa are still very good and the service is still very good. The bean and cheese wasn't as good as it was before but the gringo tacos were still good. I will be back. read more

#13 for 2025 Noise level is up there with too many to count big screens. The music played above that. Big hits from the 80s and everything above. Place was pretty full. We did have to wait a little bit to get a table for 2. A few bigger tables were empty. Menus were brought out in timely manner but it took some time to place our order. Understandable. 4 waitresses were working quick to keep up. I ordered the $18 chimichanga since it's been awhile. My friend ordered the $10 fish taco and 4 street tacos; al pator, birria, canrnitas and carne asada. $5 each. The fish taco came out right away like within a minute of ordering. Impressive. It was laid on a flat tortilla with a nice thick layer of white fish then laden with onions, greens and cheese. That was well worth the purchase. It took time for the others to come arrive at our table. The chimichanga was a good size. That mozzarella was very cheesy, sticky and stretchy. The meat was a little dry but pulled apart nicely. Didn't have a knife so I torn it apart with my fork. I drenched it into the sauce then scooped up fresh crush avocado. I loved the flaky crust adding a different texture. It was a good to taste. The street tacos were almost double the size of a regular street taco with more meats. Some may think it's not enough for the price. My friend, who ordered them and somewhat a street taco connoisseur, felt the quality did not meet the level expected for the price. And felt the meats may have been over cooked because they were really dry. We also had the Mexican coke. Delivered in long neck Coca-Cola bottles. Enjoyed that. read more

I think I counted 18 televisions in here and that's just from what I can see sitting towards the front. They play really good music here, a lot of Barbara Mason & Motown, early 2000's R&B, Bebe Dame by Fuerza Regida & Grupo Frontera and even annoying Big Baby music like Morgan Wallen! Something for everyone and it sounds much better here because the sound system is CRISP! It's not abrasively loud, it feels like Smokey Robinson is sitting next to me and serenading me while I nosh on guacamole and chips. The service is good and everyone from the servers on the floor to the guy in the kitchen stopped by to check on us, but the bill took forever and our homegirl server just left and didn't say bye or that the other server was taking over. If we could pay by QRCode that would've made it better. I got the chilli relleno and shredded beef enchilada and they give you a lot of food for the combo plate so come hungry or plan to take leftovers home. I didn't care for the enchilada, I think you can get that anywhere, but I liked the chilli relleno for sure. It's big and tasty. We ordered churro fries for the table and they were good but I think it needs ice cream. If you have kids, order the churro fries they give you a lot. Taco Hut has been a city staple forever and I have friends that religiously come to Taco Tuesday here and even friends that worked here in high school. I tried this place for the first time for taco Tuesday. I ordered 16 tacos for 4 people not realizing that the size of the tacos were massive. I ordered 6 shredded beef, 1 potato and 9 chicken tacos that were lightly fried. Out of all the tacos, the potato was the best one. The chicken tacos were very bland and the beef was okay. I also ordered the carne asada fries with nacho cheese and i would like to say that it was AMAZING!!!! I will definitely order the fries again but I'm not too sure about the tacos. read more

Our drinks were perfect, food came out quickly, and we never once had to ask for anything twice. It's rare to find servers and bartenders who truly elevate your night, but these two absolutely did. We had a great time at this place on a Tuesday. We arrived around 4:30 and found plenty of open tables. But just thirty minutes later, the place was packed! Our waitress told us it was happy hour, so we decided to try the Cadillac margaritas, which were on the happy hour menu. We also ordered tacos from the Taco Tuesday menu. You can get soft or lightly fried tacos with ground beef, shredded beef, chicken, or potato. Each taco is $2.50. I got two shredded beef and one potato. They were pretty big and tasty. When it's full of people, the music and TVs can get a bit loud, but it's still a fun place to go. I'll definitely be back! read more

Welcomed by the jovial and lovely miss Randi taking good care of our group as we made our thorough decisions. Their taco specials were our choice this time around. I chose shredded beef, fish and potato. I definitely enjoy a good crunch in a taco. Both the potato and shredded beef were hard shell and the fish had a soft corn tortilla. I enjoyed them all and would go back for seconds in a heartbeat! The shredded beef was tender and juicy, fish was a good sized piece, moist and full of flavor. The potato was a good veggie option with all the same toppings as the shredded beef. We also ordered a layered bean dip (which they customized due to food allergies) and cheese curds for the table. Cheese curds had a good garlic kick to them which I love nice and cheesy! Also comes with a dipping sauce to smooth things over. The lovely miss Jessica took over during the intermission of our meal. A seamless transition into dessert. A trio of deep fried Oreos topped with whipped cream chocolate and caramel sauce & a cherry or two (thanks Ray). My first time actually trying a deep fried Oreo! Now I see what all the hype was about all these years. It hits all those flavor profiles you crave in a dessert in one bite. Service was awesome by all the staff here. It let us truly have a chill, home town atmosphere. Kinda like you're back in high school just enjoying the company of friends without a care in the world but which taco you're gonna eat next. Met a few friends for taco Tuesday on October 1, 2024. Outddoor and indoor dining options. Great place to catch up on sports with the many TV screens along the wall. Randi !! Wow!! I am impressed with her friendly excited personality, . While Randi went on her break, Jessica continued serving us. We were equally impressed by both the ladies . As I observed both ladies seems to recognize their regular customers , if not they sure have an ease of familiarity with anyone walking in. Do stop in for their happy hour specials Monday-Friday 3pm-6 pm and 9 pm to closeing . The cheese curds here is a must order , flavorful and crunchy texture. I personally liked the shredded beef tacos and fried fish tacos , both were delicious . They definitely are not stingy with lettuce and cheese . Mixed drinks, desserts and full bar available . 10/1/24 Happy (official) Nat'l Taco Tuesday everyone! Give where credit is due, dear friend Ray recommended this place and it did NOT disappoint !!! Randi (our server) welcomed us with a wonderful & energetic greeting like we're long lost friends from years before, love her vibe! She definitely made today a great dining experience. The outdoor patio was inviting because there's actual "huts" for shade but it's well over 98 degrees today (that's for another time). Randi brings out iced waters for us and complimentary chips & salsa--yum! Once we ordered, we chit chat & try not to fill up on the apps. Got the 7 layer dip with guac & onions on the side. I've never had cheese curds before & wanted to try it here-- served in a cute metallic mini french fry frier- it was adorable! It arrived nice & hot, well seasoned & tried it w/o the dip first-so so good! I t is what I expected AND MORE. We shared it and it's a good size for sharing. Not before long, our tacos arrived, we all took our photos & quickly dug in. I tried the fish taco first. Love, love, love it! Fresh & delicious! Then the potato-good but could've used more seasoning. The ground beef was pretty great too but I was beginning to get really full. My favorite was the fish, enjoyed it immensely. When Randi went on break, Jessica took over and she is also wonderful. She made sure we were satisfied with everything and loving the experience at Taco Hut. We informed her we all checked in & wanted to redeem the special dessert today. She took care of it & made sure the order was in on time. I met three other friends here yesterday for lunch on National Taco Tuesday! I have eaten here many times before. I was surprised not see a review by me on here. I could have sworn I did a good review already, but may have been deleted somehow (possibly put as a non reviewable review). I just wanted to point out that first and foremost, Randi and Jessica both gave us the utmost greatest waitress service!!! My group of four was so glad to be here. It was great to see these waitresses so happy. It was like having six people in our lunch party instead of four!!! Secondly, it's nice to come into a restaurant where the inside and outside are so clean. October is always my roughest month for personal reasons, but between my friends, these waitresses here, and the restaurant atmosphere, October started out so right for me this year already! We had just come from another place where we had a late breakfast coffee and burrito. So I wasn't sure how much we were all going to really eat. I think we did pretty darn good! Since I already had a couple of sweet drink items before noon by this point, I just drank plain iced water since it was such a hot day again. We ordered a bean dip with onions and guacamole on the side (my onion allergy). My one friend ordered cheese curds as she never had before! We also had the normal chips and salsa! All these items were spectacular to start! It was great to have so many different flavors going already! Now, finally what we really came for, besides great conversation and being funny together. Tacos are my game and National Taco Tuesday was the Day! The three ladies all ordered at least one fish Taco each. We all had at least ordered 3 or 4 tacos each. On my end, the magic Taco order number was three. You can always order more! Four kinds of tacos here on Tuesdays are $2.50 each. The fish tacos are $3.50 each. The three that I ordered were the potato, the shredded beef, and the Chicken. (The only $2.50 taco I didn't get was the ground beef). All three of my tacos were mouth-watering great taste!!! Everyone seem to really enjoy our awesome tacos! As full as we all got, it was cool that I was able to point out that on the Yelp app we could get the free dessert of the month for checking in! For sure, we all did this and showed Jessica. So we each ended up getting the orange deep fried Oreo with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and a cherry on top. With more wonderful group convo, a neat October themed dessert treat, and the waitresses approval to relax and stick around as long as we needed, we all had the best time!!! Overall, this was a visit so beyond belief! I am so glad my friends too me up on this recommendation. Taco Hut and it's employees did not disappoint and exceeded all expectations!!! We went to the Taco Hut on evening of 4-3-26. I ordered the chicken flautas & a beef taco. The beef taco was good. But the flautas were very salty & spicy. I have diverticulitis at the moment & the spicy flautas were too much for my stomach to handle. After eating 4 bites I informed the staff & the manager came over & told me the flautas weren't spicy or salty. And that they had never had complaints about them before. So, that meant they were fine & she was not going to take the flautas off of our bill. She was very rude & dismissive of my complaints & my health condition. I had to get a second taco to replace the flautas I couldn't eat. Eventually, she did tell the waiter to comp the taco & take 20% off the bill. But, she couldn't bother coming to tell us that herself. Also, my husband said his flautas were salty & so did our friend. My husband didn't finish his flautas either. When we left the bar I saw the "manager" seated at the bar with a bunch of customers having a great time socializing. What kind of manager does that? Our waiter was very kind & helpful & sympathetic, but I can't remember his name. He brought us extra chips & a to go cup for my drink. I will never go back there again that's for sure! read more

My favorite dish is the shrimp diablo. This dish has so much flavor that I crave it. BUT it is also so spicy that I cant eat it without Horchata. I usually order to go so I haven't dined in many months. But tonight I went in and Reanna took one look at me and knew my whole order. All the way to what tortilla I wanted. She is someone who enjoys her job and makes those around her enjoy their visit. Always smiling and always moving around providing great service to everyone. Great food, good service, and nice atmosphere. I really love their mini seafood taco platter. They have a sauce on them that is truly addicting. It's basically a spicy aioli. My boyfriend also loves their breakfast burrito. We've come here almost a dozen times since we first came back in March with 15 people on a Saturday with short notice and no wait for my boyfriend's birthday. Bravo Taco Hut Rochester! TH is our go to for delicious Mexican food here in RC. Always a lively atmosphere in restaurant with sports on the big screens. There's also a small patio that's a little quieter but still had the Dodger's game on. The front of house is always busy, but incredibly down to earth and friendly. Chips and salsa, 100% always on point. Salsa is just the right heat level, freshly made and seasoned to perfection, chips are fresh and crispy. My husband and I split the chile rellenos combo with two big rellenos, beans and rice. The ranchero sauce has big pieces of onion and bell pepper. Delicious! The kid got the California burrito with nacho cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese. He loves this burrito. Chile verde is also amazing and spicy. TH never disappoints. read more

I came to complain about the price hike. I get prices went up everywhere but it's ridiculous. We ordered 4 carne asada street tacos, mind you they are street tacos so they are small, anyways we ordered them for pick up and I was shocked to pay 26.10 for 4 street tacos! That's a ridiculous price gouge. On top of that when we got home the tacos looked like someone just threw it in the box (picture attached). Fuego Cravings right down the street has their tacos for 2.75. We also ordered 1 chili verde plate and a 2 carne asada taco plate to go no drinks nothing extra that was almost $50! So many new Mexican places have opened here, there's no need to be taken advantage of. This economy ppl are struggling. read more
