However, I got very upset today because of two employees. 3/21/26, 3pm, I went to my usual Cluck2go in Rowland heights, on Nogales st. I ordered hainan chicken dark meat "togo". But i decide to "dine in" later. When I asked "can i change it to for here?", the cashier just looked at me and say nothing. I asked again "i can right?" And she started talking with other girl behind her. It seems like that girl was dealing with the food behind. But anyways i just needed answer so waited. And later cashier said no. I asked " why not? you guys serve the dine in with the same plastic dishes anyways. Just no lids. Why can't i eat in here?" And she didnt say anything but giving me a look of 'get out'. I told them to respond to ur customers properly. And left the scene with the food. I am a normal person with a job and i also deal with customers daily basis. So i know services matter and it starts with warm greetings and smiles. That is freakin basic. Cashier here has no fkin emotion. Same with the other employee she was talking to. This is America not China. I know ur culture is like 'Idgaf about u', but come on! Not when u r serving in US! Fkin rude as hell! Great casual spot for Hainan Chicken! I had tried the Pasadena location and now can also say that I've eaten at the Rowland Heights location. Like the Pasadena meal, we ordered the fried chicken and dark meat chicken combo A. All chicken are boneless which is what I prefer. As for the sides, the peanuts are really good with a hint of sweetness and the cucumbers are not that spicy. The fried chicken here came with the thai red sweet and spicy sauce which does pair well with chicken. But, the green sauce with lots of ginger is still my favorite sauce. There's plenty of parking in a private lot. This is my go-to whenever I'm craving hainan chicken rice! The price is really cheap considering that the portion is good enough to share between two people. I always order the dark meat version and the chicken is sooo juicy and tender. I normally don't really like rice but they cook their rice in chicken broth which makes it so yummy and flavorful. Basically you waited for table without any reservation system and no wait list. You will just wait for tables to be empty. Most of people just order to go because it's a small eatery. You order at counter and don't expect much service. We order one Hainan chicken white meat, two fried chicken rice. Each rice set comes with small cup of soup. The fried chicken rice set comes with soup, sweet and spicy sauce. Pickles. It is highlight of my lunch, dark meat with tendered, juicy meat and semi crispy skin. As for Hainan chicken with white meat, it comes with ginger sauce, soup and pickles. The chicken is dry and bland. For both rice set, soup is okay but rice can use more flagrance by cooking with extra ingredients. I have had many Hainan chicken from San Gabriel and Southeast Asia so the taste to me is 3 out of 5. For newer generations which never had better ones this is solid fast food, to go eatery. Cluck2Go has moved to a new location so make sure you go to the right spot. It is not too far from their original location. Cluck2Go specializes in Singaporean-style poached chicken. I was craving some Hanian chicken for some strange reason and decided to stop by here since I was in the area. I really wanted some veggies so I opted to order Combo B. Combo B consisted of a whole chicken, stir-fried string beans, spicy cucumber salad (this was not spicy at all), four individual sizes of rice, fried peanuts, and soup. I thought combo B was a great option. It said it would feed about 4-5 people and I think the ratio is accurate. I love everything about this meal. It tasted fresh and everything went really well together. I love that the chicken has no bones and it is cut in pieces that are perfect for dipping in their sauces. I didn't enjoy their red ginger chili sauce as much as I do at other places but I did enjoy it more when I combined the red and ginger scallion sauce together. They do sell individual rice plates, you can pick between poached chicken or fried Hainan chicken. In addition to their rice plates, they also sell noodle soup. Overall, I thought everything was delicious, and will definitely be getting it more often for dinner when I don't feel like cooking. read more

This happened before at their prior Rowland location. Immediate indicators that they went bad, the ginger scallion tasted sour and the pickled veg is slimy. Been a die-hard fan for so many years, way before it became "cluck2go". This is truly one of the most highly-praised and protected joints in my heart. The rice was super fragrant and flavorful pairing well with the chicken. The sauces were great also adding another depth of flavor.
