I love stopping by for take out when in the area. The Hainan chicken is super good with great sauces. The Hainan chicken noodles is also good but the soup is a little bland and the soup amount could be increased. The portion is ginormous-- kid you not, me, my two sons 11 and 17 all shared one portion and we're all stuffed. Love the Napa it comes with. They are Chinese speaking. Service is good when you talk in Chinese. Typical Chinese hole in the wall. Pretty cool that they were featured in the LA times!

Flavorless and mediocre Hainan chicken rice

I miss ManChan Hainan Chicken. Cluck2Go can't compare. Flavorless chicken, flavorless dipping sauce flavorless pickled vegetables & flavorless broth. Everything was mediocre. The restaurant was clean but feels like it should be a cheap togo place, they don't even have real cutlery or plates. Instead it was so expensive for nothing tasty. At least the servers were nice.

Singaporean style Hainan chicken. Has the option for dark and white meat which is a plus and just overall is a great meal with a bunch of different textures for those wanting different textures. Also does not accept AMEX

They have the perfect solution if you like Hainan Chicken but not the rubbery skin. Cluck2Go offers an option with the skin fried. Simple menu, simple place with tables and chairs with efficient. quick service. There's lots of to go orders coming in and out. I ordered a side of steamed broccoli with oyster sauce and it was fresh, perfectly steamed still snappy, not soggy. A cleaned and simple meal.

When craving Hainan Chicken, this place is pretty solid! They have a limited amount of indoor seating, but not too long of a wait to dine in. Inside was clean and although service was not the kindest, they still got our orders quick and were attentive. Chicken is tender for the most part, clean, and boneless! We ordered the Combo B that came with a whole chicken, 4 rices, 4 hearty chicken soups, delicious five spice string beans, sugar peanuts, pickled jalapeños, spicy mala cucumbers, and carrot ginger and scallion sauce. Some of the string beans were not that fresh, but the flavor was still really good. Total came to around $50 for this combo, a good size to feed a family of 4-5! They do charge extra for their sauces if you want more, but you can always exchange one of their sauces for more orange or green sauce. Everything was delicious and I'm so glad they have a location in RH :). They opened another location in West Covina Haven City but pricing may be slightly higher there since it's located inside of a food court.

Cluck2Go is my go to spot to get my Hainan Chicken fix. For under $15, you get a generous portion of boneless chicken (your choice of regular with white/dark meat, white meat only, and dark meat only), rice, a cup of broth, and sauces. Drinks are available for about $2.50 (sodas, bottled tea, herbal tea). They have indoor seating available but most of their orders are primarily take-outs. Service is good and prompt. Chicken is moist and filling. Definitely think it is better than Savoy.

Our first time trying out this Cluck2Go at this location. It's located inside a strip mall on Nogales and Colima (at the JJ Bakery parking lot). We always like to have Hainan chicken rice. Many people order to go instead of dining in because it is a small place with simple decor. The menu looked the same as the other Cluck2Go such as Pasadena. Hubby and I ordered two Singaporean-style poached chicken with chicken rice, one with dark meat, and one with dark and white meat. It is served with pickled veggies, ginger scallion sauce (1), red ginger chili sauce (1), and a hot soup. I liked my dark-meat chicken because they were very tender, juicy, and smooth. They were perfect with the ginger scallion sauce rather than the spicy red ginger chili sauce. I also added some sweet soy sauce to the chicken because they tasted a bit bland. The soup was warm & hearty. However, we did not like the rice, the fragrant rice had no flavor and was not a bit oily and it was dry. Honestly, we liked the original Hainan Chicken Rice Cluck2Go in Pasadena more than this location. Overall it was 3.5 stars (I round it up to 4 stars). We like the other Hainan Chicken Rice cuisine on Nogales in Walnut and we've had better Hainan Chicken rice.

They use "walking" chicken which is a different flavor from regular bigger chickens. 3 sauces came with it - all average. The scallion ginger sauce is mostly oii and scallions. No ginger flavor. Shrimp eggrolls were small easy crunchy bites but little to no shrimp. Rice and porridge were below average. I expected more flavor in the chicken rice. And the porridge was very watery and lacked salt. Come and buy chicken only. (But even then, it's pricey for a small portion.....)

Hainan chicken 3/5 I felt like the chicken amount was fine and had nice texture (soft but not overly). The green onion ginger and sweet soy sauce I liked. If you pay extra for the mushroom chili oil it enhances the dish, but the flavor wasn't my fav. The rice doesn't stick together as much and it lacked some chicken flavor for me. Cucumber in chili oil 2/5 Not my fav from other spots I had. Wish it had more garlic/flavor lol as you keep eating, it gets spicy. It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.

For $17.50, the special comes with a French-style roast beef panini, shrimp and fish ball rice vermicelli in creamy chicken soup, plus hot coffee or tea. Honestly, it's a pretty good amount of food for breakfast. The roast beef panini was really good. The bread was nicely toasted, and the roast beef was tender and flavorful. Simple, but everything worked well together. The rice vermicelli was also better than I expected. I wasn't sure how I would feel about noodles in a creamy chicken soup for breakfast, but it actually worked! The soup was creamy and comforting without being too heavy, and there was a good amount of shrimp and fish ball to go with the noodles. I also have to mention the service. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and we were taken care of throughout the meal. Nothing felt rushed, which is always nice when you're trying to enjoy a relaxing weekend breakfast.
