I am changing my review from 5 stars to 2. Both pickups were flawless and the teams are Clutter's saving grace. Diamond, Rashad, Ulisses, Milosz, and Michael worked really hard - I have a lot of stuff. They packed everything expertly and quickly. They packed my things exactly the way I would have packed them but they did it in a fraction of the time. They were friendly, went above and beyond (Milosz helped me throw out items I couldn't carry), were really communicative, and just overall good people. I watched as everything went into the truck whole and unbroken. Nothing was thrown or dropped and heavy boxes were not placed on top of fragile items. My first pickup occurred two weeks before my first drop-off. I asked for all 60 items from the first pickup to be returned to me on Saturday. On the scheduled drop-off day, I received 40/60 items. I was told by the crew dropping my stuff off that there are all new teams in the warehouse and they have been messing up a lot of recent orders. I called the contact number in hopes of receiving the remainder of my 20 things and was first told that I received all 40 out of 40 things that I requested. They were insistent that I received everything I requested. I said I had the email that proved I had requested 60 things and they changed their tune. After several calls back and forth, I was informed that the warehouse was short-staffed and they just decided to stop working/leave things out of my order. But I was told that they were trying to get my items out same-day. After more calls, I was informed that I would not be receiving my things on Saturday but was told by two different people that I would be receiving my things between 7-10am on Sunday. Sunday rolled around and I called to confirm my drop-off but was told that deliveries have all gone out and I won't be receiving anything. After many more phone calls, I was finally told that everything should be arriving on Tuesday. I confirmed and re-confirmed that I would receive 100% of all of my items on Tuesday so we'll see if that comes to fruition. When I received my belongings - the things I actually received - many larger items were damaged. My desk was completely destroyed and rendered unusable but because I paid an extra fee upfront, I was covered if Clutter broke anything - if they break it they won't pay you for it unless you pay that extra fee. My coffee and side tables had bent legs but I was able to straighten them to be usable. Boxes were crushed in different ways - from the top, squeezed in from the sides, pushed up from the bottom. Glassware was shattered but I know it wasn't due to how it was wrapped - in both paper and bubble wrap. It doesn't matter how well plates and glasses are wrapped if the box they're in is crushed. Other than filing claims for my broken things, Clutter has not tried to remedy any of this. read more

I am definitely not a review guy. However the service I received from this company was over the top. Moving in general can be stressful, aggravating, and always takes longer than you thought. The day started with a text telling me who was coming and there exact arrival time. When Javier, Humberto, and Mike arrived ,I explained that I had decided that I would like additional things loaded and stored. It was a huge deviation from what I had originally outlined. I was fully expecting them to explain what a ridiculous upgrade that would be or even a flat no that couldn't be accomplished in the same day . This company had triple checked everything with me beforehand. At the very least I expected to detect some aggravation. That isn't what I received instead they told me no problem and reassured me it wasn't gonna be a problem. Then I watched the most professional and efficient day of work I've ever seen. At one point I indicated that if they were more comfortable not wearing there masks they could remove them, they politely refused explaining the health of there customers, as well as there company's protocol couldn't be compromised. I have hired movers in the past and have always felt that I must be in the middle of it giving instructions and essentially working all day . There expertise was so obvious , I didn't do a thing. Usually there are some things that have actual value or sentimental value , where you feel the need to point out . With Clutter this isn't necessary because they treat everything with that extra care . They come in with tool kits, a variety of packing materials, boxes and plastic wrap as well as moving blankets. Everything was wrapped and packed carefully. They put in about a 12 hour day and took a 20 minute lunch . The thing I noticed more than anything was there positivity and there pride . This is an extremely rare quality these days. Any businesses success depends on the people you have . Clutter ,Mike, Javier,and Humberto represent that you guys are the best of the best in the moving industry. They always say buy stock in company's that u use and think are gonna be around based on there performance. My last question was is clutter a public or private company. I was somewhat suspicious after this service was advertised to me through a Facebook ad, but we were indeed looking for a storage facility to move a large amount of art equipment into after shutting down a business. We had less than two weeks to do so, so we were seriously under pressure. I did a few quotes online and they seemed really cheap considering that the company does all the moving and some packing for you. Must be a catch, right? Well I called clutter up and spoke with Jason and had such a great customer service experience and was even offered a special deal just for calling them. Jason explained to me that the storage is by cubic feet instead of sq ft; we had a ton of large pieces to be put away and I had figured the 10x25 would be right. Jason quickly told me after my description that the 10x10 would be more than enough and they will automatically downgrade it if we can go smaller. I nearly didn't believe him but with cubic ft that makes sense enough. They didn't charge me beforehand and gave me ample time to reschedule after talking with my bf about the dates. Fantastic customer service throughout and after looking at the contract, there are seriously no hidden fees. On the day of the move they showed up with a huge truck. They accidentally only sent two people when we requested 3 (one item was super heavy) and quickly sent out their supervisor to help with the load. They wrapped, boxed, and packaged everything up so nicely, took pictures of every item, and carefully moved everything out within a couple hours. Everyone was so nice and we were just blown away by how easy it was. This isn't even the best part because..... Once they finished, they had only filled a 7.5x10 space 80% full of furniture and large equipment. They automatically lowered our space, the we whole thing only cost us $120 with 2500 in insurance. We were going to pay $200/month at public storage with no help moving, no cost for the truck included. AMAZING service that seriously saved us in a moment of desperation. Avoid Clutter at all costs. Our experience with their moving service was an absolute nightmare. We took the initiative to contact their customer service well in advance to confirm the move date. They requested that we verify our phone number, which seemed like a routine procedure. Little did we know that this simple step would lead to a cascade of errors and incompetence. You see, their internal system had the wrong phone number on file for us. Despite our efforts to provide the correct information, it was never updated or corrected. Consequently, on the day of the move, the movers called the wrong number. Did they bother to follow up with an email to confirm? Absolutely not. Feeling perplexed and frustrated, we called Clutter in hopes of resolving this issue promptly. To our dismay, they addressed us by our first names, implying that they had access to our account details. However, they had the audacity to claim that they did not have our phone number and therefore couldn't assist us any further. It was a blatant display of their lack of organization and disregard for customer satisfaction. But the nightmare didn't end there. Clutter, in their infinite wisdom, decided to cancel our reservation and slapped us with a cancellation fee. Can you imagine the feeling of helplessness and betrayal we experienced? We had put our trust in their service, only to be left stranded and financially worse off. Let this be a warning to anyone considering Clutter for their moving needs. Their incompetence knows no bounds. From their failure to update basic contact information to their refusal to rectify the situation, they have proven themselves to be utterly unreliable. Save yourself the headache, the frustration, and the financial loss by steering clear of Clutter. You deserve a moving company that values its customers and delivers on its promises. Sean and Drew, my movers, deserve a 5* review, but my experience with Clutter overall is not as great. The movers that Clutter hires are fantastic. I have had nothing but good experiences with them; they are efficient, communicative, and nice. I was less happy with the company overall. I initially scheduled delivery and coordinated with my building for an afternoon drop-off and was told my delivery 9 and 5. When I logged in the day before and saw my window had changed to 8-12:30, I requested it later and was told there was no way a delivery could be made after three. I had to leave my stuff in storage for a whole extra week (not money I was planning on spending). When I rescheduled, I preemptively asked for the delivery to come between 9 and 11, and was told this need could absolutely be met. I was told I was second for the day and my team would come closer to 9. On the tracker, it finally said they would come at 10:58, but that stopped updating and they didn't arrive until 11:49, even though it said they were heading to be at 10:30. Luckily I was able to reschedule my elevator this time, but I can only imagine that Sean and Drew were never told about the time constraint because they were fantastic and so nice. I would have appreciated the Clutter help team being more upfront about the situation with me and not telling me that a time constraint could be managed when it could not. I know things come up, but no one reached out to me, and when I called the helpline, they did not tell me about the unplanned stop. Had I not been able to reschedule the elevator, I once again would have had to cancel the delivery. I would be extremely hesitant to use Clutter again after this stressful experience. The movers I have met have been the most helpful and pleasant people ever, but there is an apparent need for better communication from people in the headquarters. read more

Read the updates!! They increase prices regularly I've had clutter come out twice since my initial visit. And it has been fast and simple every time. The last crew was so helpful. The whole company has made my moving experience a lot less stressful! Thanks guys!! ***Another crew came out with Matt as the team lead. This time to finish my garage. These guys were really on top of their game. They didn't mess around and were in and out in an hour, during record heat. Trust me, it was miserable out and moving sucks. But they were as friendly and as helpful as ever. Clutter is awesome. Thank you so much!! I haven't received any items back yet. So I can't comment on that. But the advice I've gotten is to request it back 1-2 weeks in advance. I guess I'll update one more ti once I move into the new house and we see the flip side ; ). **** UPADTE****It's been 2 years that I've had my stuff in storage. And let me tell you. The company has changed so much. Their rates keep going up and the service keeps going down. The last rate hike was a 70% increase!! I used to love them. Now I hate it. They nickel and dime me. And the contract I had is useless. They don't stand behind their words. They have increased their rates and come up with new charges every 4 months. It's a joke. It's going to cost a fortune to get a few of my things back when it was supposed to be free unlimited returns per my contract. I might sound bitter. But that's because I am salty. The guys have always been great. But the company and it's ever-changing policies has gotten horrible. So- word to the wise: be careful with them. Their contracts mean nothing. This is the worst company/business ever. Let me start by stating that after arrangements were made, the company canceled 5 TIMES. That alone should have clued me in that something was not right about this jacked up company. Secondly, after the cancellations, they made attempts to charge my credit card and claim that I had called in the cancellations. Charges were reversed with evidence from the emails sent. This business did not stop there however. When they finally sent someone on the fifth day, the 2 guys were two hours late for the 7:00am appointment, neither of them wore mask, due to COVID, and they were extremely unprofessional. The guy working upstairs, packed only 1 box of books from the upstairs office. The guy working downstairs was so high and inept that he broke an expensive entertainment center. After 25 minute, after arriving late, after breaking my entertainment center, both of these Clutter employees decided they were too lazy to complete the job/task and snuck out without informing me of their departure. When you call the company to complain, voicemail was all I got. After several attempts, I finally got a representative on the line who claimed that the guys stated that conditions were unsafe to continue. What a scam!!! This business employs unprofessional liars and idiots. The experience with CLUTTER MOVING & STORAGE was horrible!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. These professional Clutter movers /fine young gentleman packed my furniture and all my items sooooooo nicely and were very careful with my China and everything l had as if it was there own items!! I was truly impressed!!!!! Oh! I was especially impressed and thankful Anel and Alexander never complained even when they got HURT while trying to move my brand new couch out of an old three story building l lived in. I know if they hadn't wrapped/padded my sofa so nicely for protection... then my beautiful new sofa would have been ruined because of the of the walls and handrails in the old building l was moving out of. I'm so sorry Anel and Alexander had to basically break there backs almost and l mean literally break there backs in order to move my sofa/couche out!!!! This is by far the most responsible & fairly priced storage option around. When I needed to move to LA and store a studio apartment's worth of furnishings that was in the Bay Area I didn't know the safest & most cost efficient option. I called every Possible storage solution. I was living in Chicago & trying to make these California arrangements. Wally @ Clutter was so patient with me, explaining every detail of what my charges would be etc....I must have called him back 6 times over the course of 6-8 weeks, cross checking details and making sure there would be no surprise fees. The day of our move, in 108 degree heat, the Clutter Crew met my college age son and I and emptied a full moving truck, my sons "home" into safe packaging/wrapping for long term storage while he transferred into UCLA. They were very careful with his belongings, on time, maintained excellent communication with us the day the transfer. At the height of the heat on this August day, the Clutter fellas did not stop to take a break. I was thrilled that it all went so smoothly. They even took pictures of everything they were taking so they & we have an excellent inventory of what we have in storage. Shortly after this day and again 7 months later I received calls from the company checking on their customer service to make sure things were going smoothly with our storage solution. I HIGHLY recommend the team at CLUTTER. Do your homework like I did & you'll see; whether you need short or long term storage, & even if you will need certain items or boxes delivered to you at any point during the time your utilizing storage, this is YOUR BEST OPTION! read more

Clutter initially seemed like a good idea because it was a cheap way to store all my items and have all my items moved there easily. My movers were very nice, very helpful and very professional. I was paying $70 for a 5x10 unit which was perfect and fit everything I needed...or so I thought. Last month I contacted them to get my wardrobe box out, switched my clothes in there and then had Clutter come pick up that same wardrobe box. Once it got put back into their system it automatically upgraded me to a 10 x 10 unit for $125. I was very confused because this item was in there before. I contacted them about this to inquire why my storage space had been upgraded. They said they made a mistake on the initial intake when the movers were there and that I should actually have been paying for the 10 by 10 storage space this whole time. I asked that they honor my monthly price of $70 per month since this was their mistake and they declined. I asked that they send me back the wardrobe box for free since again, this is their mistake. They also declined. Their argument is that I have already saved around $300 from their mistake. The problem is had I known in the beginning that I was over my cubic square feet for a 5 by 10 unit, I wouldn't have put extra stuff in there. I am so disappointed in their customer service and I am very disappointed they could not at LEAST compensate me to ship back whatever stuff put me "over my cubic square feet". Just be careful with this business...they will NOT help you if they make a mistake. read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE! This is one of the most convenient ways for a person in the city, without a car, to move - and the cost is amazingly affordable considering the services offered and the awesome staff. From the first call I received from Alex Mayo to schedule my appointment, to the actual pick up appointment itself, I was treated with nothing less than respect - and that does not happen often with these larger companies who service numerous people. I was treated as an individual customer. Alex was great with helping me get my list of items together, but of course, I missed a lot. Great thing Clutter provides you the option to update your list through a customer portal as you get closer to your move (this portal is super convenient and makes everything easy for the customer in many other ways too). On the day of my appointment, Shaquille and his team (I wish I had caught all of their names so I could give them all the credit they deserve) were prompt, sincere, friendly, and very respectful of my preferences and with the way they handled my belongings. And even though I updated my item list many times, I still somehow had wayyyy more than I anticipated. Nevertheless, the team was very encouraging about my needs, reassuring me that they would pack whatever I wanted, even if it was unplanned. I just scheduled my drop off appointment online, and although it won't occur for another two weeks, I am certain it will go smoothly and the staff will be outstanding. So I'll be upfront my experience with Clutter didn't start the best but my team turned that around for me. I had a scheduled window of time for the company to pickup my items and reserved the freight elevator in my building. The morning of my pickup I received a text giving me my place in line for the pickup ( I was number 5 out of 5). As the team completed he 4th pickup, I receive a text saying they were in their way to me. Immediately after, I receive another text saying that team was delayed and that I would need to be assigned to another team that was an hour away. I called the customer service people to resolve the issue. They weren't that helpful and could you use better training on the distance between neighborhoods in Chicago. They were suppose to call me back with an ETA on my new team and never called me. Regardless, once the new team arrived (Anthony, Javier and Spidey) my experience turned from bad to great! The team explained the process and how everything worked and walked me through everything. They were great with my family ( we were all laughing and making jokes) and my belongings. The team was very organized with their packing materials and even loading the truck. I would love to request the Dream team(Anthony, Javier and Spidey )when my belongings get dropped off. That team made my experience Clutter great! read more

Wonder why Clutter loses your items? Well, their inventory system is built on QR codes, which are supposed to keep track of your belongings by linking each item's sticker to its digital record. When scanned, that code should show exactly what the item is and where it's stored. Clutter's system does not work correctly. The QR stickers on physical items often do not match what appears in their database. This mismatch makes it impossible to locate items because the record may point to someone else's property instead of your own. As a result, your belongings may never be found, or worse, could be mixed up, delivered to another customer, or even auctioned off if that customer fails to pay their bill. I informed Clutter of this serious issue and even contacted the CEO directly. There has been no response and no accountability. They have lost important family heirlooms and expensive furniture, yet continue to hide behind policy language rather than take responsibility for their own system failures or to compensate me fairly for their negligence. A QR system is supposed to create accuracy and transparency, but in Clutter's case, it creates confusion, negligence, and loss. Bottom line: Clutter's tracking system is broken, and their leadership refuses to address it. If you value your belongings, do not use this company. read more

STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. In March 2018 I had Clutter come pick up an upright piano and bench. Yesterday, they attempted to deliver it to me completely destroyed. I am truly at a loss for words here. First of all the movers showed up over an hour early for our delivery window.. for the movers to tell me my piano had been damaged. If Clutter had any accountability, somebody would have reached out to me and told me about this prior. Instead they blindsided me and tried delivering a damaged piano. Literally the wood has been ripped off and the legs have been snapped off. (I will attach photos if I can) I asked when or how this happened and their response was "because their facility is so small they had to move it to a 3rd party place and the 3rd party place damaged it." My question is... WHEN did this happen? I have been paying over $50 a month to Clutter to keep this piano safe. Nobody told me they were moving it or when. Instead they just let me keep paying my monthly fee until I requested a return. I have seen no apology or compensation for this yet, but will follow up if I do. The piano is worth over $3,000, but the sentimental value of it is beyond words to me. I've paid upwards of $1,000 to Clutter to keep it in a temperature controlled storage unit and they have completely failed me. read more

They couldn't have been better! From the very beginning booking via phone and internet to scheduling, pick-up, packing, storage inventory, and return delivery after 2 months of storage was flawless and very professional. I even had them deliver some unneeded items as a donation to Habitat For Humanity which they did at no extra charge. Every person I came in contact with was great and professional. All these services were done at a total cost that was less than half of other quotes that I had received from multiple local movers to just do a one day pick-up and delivery of the same items less than one mile distance. I was a little dubious at first and I kept waiting for a surprise charge or some sort of "catch" because it seemed too good to be true. But, one never came! I highly recommend their service. I just read a Yelp Clutter review dated July 30, 2019 from a "Jay P". I was a little taken aback because I could have written the same exact review as my experience was almost exactly the same; even down to his 100 year old chair as I had a pair of antique 100+ year old Chinese temple chairs and a very precious marble top coffee table. I could have saved myself some time and just said "See Jay P's July 30th review" To me, this is confirmation that Clutter really is that good on a consistent basis. read more

Please keep in mind that I am only doing this because of the gentlemen who work for Clutter. I am not here to say anything good or bad about the people who run Clutter. The movers that work for them need to be recognized, specifically, the movers I had on July 6, 2020. They had returned over 200 misc boxes I was storing. First off, it felt like the temps outside were at least in the 90s. Who wants to move anything in that type of weather? I had Humberto, Ivan, and Javier show up, on time, and all of them exceeded my expectations of them. These 3 really impressed me with how they conducted them selfs. Despite the temperature, workload, and low-pay they get from Clutter headquarters, they managed to keep a smile and get the job done in a professional manner. That's why they get my time here to highlight how great they were. I also want to mention the movers I had with the original pickup were exceptional themselves. I wish I could remember their names. To Clutter Corp, please understand how important these people are in the product you are selling. Compensate them for what they are worth and the hard work they do and keep them happy plus some. One day I hope these companies think less about their bottom line and more about the people they hire. read more

Wow! I cannot thank Jasmine, Mecca, and Gavontay enough for their incredible hard work today. From the moment they arrived at my apartment--right on time and ready to go--they wasted no time getting started. I was genuinely impressed by how quickly and efficiently they worked as a team. They handled everything with such professionalism, care, and attention to detail that it made what could have been a stressful day completely seamless. These three are truly the best in the company. Their positive attitudes, work ethic, and ability to communicate clearly throughout the entire process made all the difference. They made me feel like I was in good hands from beginning to end. Beyond convenient, my experience with Clutter was fantastic. With my lease end-date rapidly approaching and every logistical constraint imaginable, Clutter did nothing less than save the day. The gentleman who helped me with scheduling was incredibly thorough, leaving no detail uncovered. He was even able to coordinate a pick-up date for the *NEXT DAY* after submitting a special request to the field operations team, going the extra mile to help me after talking through my situation. I honestly couldn't believe they were able to make that work. Will, Chauncey, and Glen were an amazing pick up team. They were friendly and easy to work with, did a careful and thorough job packing, and made an already stressful day as seamless as it could be. They even went the extra mile to help me, packing up one small box of fragile items that weren't going into storage but I was nervous about transporting myself. All three of them said they had previous moving experience - that shone through as they quickly and effectively packaged everything up. My Clutter experience with the four man moving team of a Joshua Drew Jacquez and Matt was EXCELLENT. I was looking for an efficient packing and moving solution for my recent move from Lincoln Square to a new home less than 3 miles away. I had a fair amount of furniture and other things that were not fully packed. I was concerned about having a quality reliable moving service to pack and move me efficiently and cost effectively. I am relieved and delighted to report that I had an exceptionally good experience as a first time Clutter customer. My team was punctual motivated and very efficient. They carefully packed boxed and emptied my furniture and belongings from a 1300 sq ft unit in less than three hours. They then transported unloaded and moved my things into the new home in just under 2 hours. Price-wise was very reasonable for a four man team two trucks and myriad packing supplies. Total cost came in at about $1750 which is more than fair and equitable for this market. All told, they did amazing careful and efficient work. I could not recommend them more highly. I would urge anyone needing moving or storage services to contact Clutter. Thank you Clutter for the amazing job! read more
