After bookmarking this for a long time, we managed to have a lunch here this holiday season. Thanks for a great experience and food. It is expensive but we found the food was delicious and portions are generous for the price. Server was very welcoming and attentive. Cocktails were good. We ordered a crispy potato & Brussels sprout appetizer. For main course I ordered the swordfish piccata and my vegetarian husband ordered a pasta. We were happy to find a few vegetarian options. I was hoping I could get someone from coachman to read my previous review but no answer so I will add again my husband and I brought my mom there for Mother's Day food was terrible we ordered and 2 minutes later our food came out seriously my husband got the steak medium rare and I got the baked chicken. mine was so dry I knew it had to of been sitting there and I think my husband got a previously cooked steak sent back my chicken for another meal no one came and spoke to us about this left feeling we do over paid for the most crappy meal too bad because i usually love going there not anymore read more

My family and I had a great time, everything was excellent for Easter but they refused to provide my sister with a side of French fries because she didn't qualify for the kids menu. My sister is gluten free and couldn't eat the other sides. It just didn't make any sense why they couldn't spare a small plate of French fries. We went here from an ad on TV first mistake. We ordered 3 bottles of wine until we found one they actually had. The calamari appetizer was like rubber bands and dinner was not any better. We made an early reservation for outside. They shoved us in the bar. We asked to move closer to the water but that area was not opened yet. We ordered drinks. They were not good. We ordered two steak dinners..... They were horrible. The potatoes were old and cold and the veg was not cooked. The service was hodge podge and not appropriate for the price point of the meals. I would warn anyone not to dine here. The chef is not good at his craft and the waitstaff was untrained. Shameful to charge people the rates you charge and then underperform on every single level. Updating it again. Not sure what's going on with them. We did Thanksgiving with them and obviously with inflation I was expecting them to go up - but was surprised the ham we get every year went up only a dollar. It was now 27. We booked the reservation after that like we do every year. Christmas, I don't know what happened. Our waitress was a sweetheart- so she did nothing wrong. But they literally in one month went up on the same ham we had on thanksgiving roughly 6.00. It was the same ham. In fact it was fattier and saltier-- and not a good cut like thanksgiving. Also they over-seasoned the roasted potatoes and every year for that amount of money - they'll give you a small side salad. They did on Thanksgiving and for the last 5 years we've been doing BOTH thanksgiving and Christmas there - so I'm not sure what went on for Christmas. We were told they had many reservations for thanksgiving and not that many for Christmas so I'm not sure if that was the reason for about 6 extra per plate last minute or not. We booked thanksgiving on Christmas as they always have the same prices for the limited menu. So wasn't happy with the bait and switch it price tactic at the last minute. Don't think I'll be doing my birthday there now. Not worth it. I really liked this place because you felt valued as a customer, but now I feel like they treat you like the chain restaurants do. I do hope they realize that I've seen hikes in all food at many restaurants we go to on the regular- but never a 6 increase last minute per plate. Even the Chinese restaurant we went to tonight went up 2.00 on everything for new year's limited menu - but it wasn't 6 and it wasn't a downgrade in how the food tasted as well. read more

This rating is strictly value for the dollar. I found this to be overpriced for what was offered. My family and I, party of 7, chose to have our Easter dinner here due to crazy work and travel schedules. This would be out first dining out for a holiday experience. The function hall we were brought to was beautiful albeit very noisy, it was hard to hear others at our large round table. Our reservation was mid afternoon, and both wine options I asked for were sold out, just simple white wine options. Our waiter was very personable but not nearly attentive enough. We had to flag someone down for everything including water, table bread and issues with entrees. When we did get bread there was not enough for everyone at the table. The busing staff were young and very inappropriately social and loud while performing their duties. To the point that their goofing off while setting up a table beside us was so loud we needed to halt our conversation while they were "working" as we couldn't hear over them. One of the teens then dropped and broke a glass and loud goading followed. I don't think I am the only one that believes that wait staff socializing while working should interfere with diners experience and their own table conversations. I wish this was the worst. Three people ordered a very expensive $44 NY sirloin, all requested medium rare. One was cooked as requested and 2 of the 3 were over cooked and incredibly tough and nearly inedible. Another person ordered the Salmon which was cold when it arrived. I, myself, had to wait for another wait staff person to arrive to inform them I was missing my entrée entirely. Having said that, they replaced the cold Salmon, offered another entrée for the inedible sirloin and my entrée was delivered. However at $32-44 per person, should we have to return food? or remind our waiter that not all entrees have been delivered? He never came to check or to see if anything was needed. Another basket of rolls were delivered, with no butter. Massive bowls of sides arrived, pasta with sauce, veggies and roasted potatoes. All were tasty and acceptable. In the end everything that was wrong about our meal was corrected or at least offered to be however their was so much to detract from our experience it just made it not worth the price and overall not an enjoyable experience at all. We were excited to try The Coachman's Lodge for dinner...but we were very disappointed. Three of us ordered different items, Veal Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Harvest Salad with Ahi Tuna, and an appetizer Escargot. Veal Parmesan - was over cooked and actually burned. It would take a hack saw to cut through it. Chicken Marsala - Chicken was good but the sauce was more like gravy instead of the typical sweet taste. Harvest Salad - The Ahi Tuna was fatty and only one of the several pieces was edible. The Ahi Tuna was also served warm rather than the traditional chilled presentation. Escargot - The Escargot was average but the toasted bread slices were burned. We asked our waitress, Cassandra, to take back the Veal Parmesan as it was not edible. We also let her know that the Ahi Tuna was fatty and warm and the Escargot toast was burned. She had the manager come over and we explained to her of the issues, particularly the Veal Parmesan. The manager left to work on adjusting the bill. Our waitress returned with our bill and the only adjustment offered was to reduce the Veal Parmesan by $20 dollars. We were told that is the maximum allowed per the restaurant owner, who was not there. Our group of three enjoy dining out and almost never complain. As a matter of fact, this is only one of a few reviews I have posted to Yelp. It doesn't take much to win over unsatisfied customers, just a little compassion and customer service. That did not happen. Our waitstaff was wonderful and they were very apologetic, the reason for 1 star rather than zero. We will not be returning. read more

Excellent food and excellent service! Sherry was out server and she was terrific. The cocktails were delicious as were the apps. We had calamari and the Tuscan wings which are TO DIE FOR! Our dinner portions were very generous which required us to take home leftovers and the next day, they tasted even better. I recommend going on the weekend so you can get one of the specials - they are awesome but not served during the week. We can't wait to return in the summer to dine outside -- the setting is simply beautiful! read more

Service was absolutely fantastic. Sherry (not 100% sure how to spell her name) was so friendly and enjoyable to have as a server! Very attentive. My party and I ordered a ton of appetizers, but we really enjoyed the baked feta and coconut shrimp. Chicken parm was a very hefty , large serving. lol this place is not worth it for holidays. What a joke. Don't reserve a table in the banquet area because it's so loud from all the people. We were right near the fake wait station and it was so loud from the throwing of dishes. Food took forever. There's a separate menu for holidays that of so overpriced it's laughable. anyone been to the Coachmen's Lodge recently? We have been there many times and had a great experience. But, our most recent visit was absolutely HORRIBLE! We want to go back there, but based on our last visit, we don't want to waste our money. When we were last there I was told by the wait staff they have a new manager and she is horrible. I am hoping they got that straightened out. However, they never responded to my negative review which makes me think they really don't care about their reputation, which is the vibe I got from the manager on our last visit. read more

We have enjoyed the Coachmen'Lodge for many years. We have celebrated Easter and Mother's Day numerous times. This Easter we were very disappointed. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were delicious but the drinks were terrible. A Cosmopolitan may have just as well been vodka and cranberry. A Bloody Mary was horrible, made in a rocks glass and had no vodka. The peach Bellini was flat Prosecco with a shot of peach schnapps. Just awful! Our salads and entrees were all brought out at the same time as our appetizers. Our salads were not dressed and our meals were cold. We were so disappointed as our meals have always been so delicious. read more

We were very disappointed in our experience last night. First we had a reservation for 4 at 5pm for outside seating. After many apologies we were sat 35 minutes late. Our meal started out ok. We ordered drinks then appetizers then our main course. 2 hours later we noticed people who had been seated after us had ordered and were paying their check. We asked our sever what's up and they apologized and said they were really busy. When we pointed out that people near us have been fed and were seated after us he became agitated. We then asked for a manager. The manager came over and apologized and said he'd check in our meal. 15 minutes later we see him bring meals out to other tables. He never came over to explain where our food was. We called him over and we said we are leaving. I reserved the outdoor space for my mother's 80th birthday dinner celebration. There were several issues that lead to the low rating. We were a party of 20. Upon arrival, I was informed by the wait staff that our party was moved indoors due to the weather, a light drizzle that cleared within minutes. My hope was to move the party outdoors as the garden area was the reason the restaurant was chosen; however my request to speak to the manager was denied, nor did he extend the courtesy to explain the change in reservation. There was a wedding party outdoors which may be the reason we were ultimately moved as our function would have been next to the wedding. While the manager declined my request to speak, he was often observed standing around. Another concern is with manager's choice to assign a very inexperienced server to our large party. The server shared that he started two weeks prior which was evident in how he was able to manage the table. Other tables with far less patrons appeared to have more experienced servers. However, our server tried his best and apologized throughout the night, clearly overwhelmed. He made basic errors such as touching food and blowing out candles on the cake. Finally, as a group we did not feel welcomed. I was so embarrassed at the lack of courtesy by the manager that I initiated a goodbye as we passed the manager who was at the booth near the entrance. In my heart I question if we would have been treated differently if we were white, though I hope I am wrong. Although the food was okay, I will not be returning because the poor service and treatment. I have sense informed the manager of my feelings who offered a gift card. The offer was declined as no monetary offering could repair the damage. If you are looking for good service, this is not the place. read more

Beautiful atmosphere! I have to say that the outdoor area is the most beautiful we have ever seen! Andrew provided excellent service as our waiter the fist time we went. I took my granddaughter out to dinner last night expecting great service and lovely ambiance. We received neither, We will seated next to this Family with four children who thought the place was a playground. My server finally showed up after sitting for about ten minutes without anybody offering us drinks, I ordered a cup of coffee and and a drink for my granddaughter, The waitress brought the coffee With most of it spilt in the saucer and my sugar packets soaked wet. She never offered to get me another cup of coffee. The food was passible, the ribeye she ordered was overcooked and brick chicken was not worth ordering. Really a second rate restaurant. I took my 8 year old daughter here for dinner last night, such a beautiful place. We were shown to our table straight away and got a great seat in the lodge. The service was quick and very friendly. We had an app and main course, the portions were large and delicious. When the desert tray came out, they all looked so good we got 3 desserts! The servers put candles in the desserts since it was my daughter's birthday earlier that week. The cannoli bread pudding was our favorite, you have to try it! The outdoor seating open up at the end of May so we will be going back to sit outside for sure. There is a beautiful lake to look at, and lovely flowers in the back. *** update *** We just went back to Huntsman to sit outside on the back patio. It was such a beautiful day and amazing view. Karen was our server and she did a stellar job, very friendly and prompt service. We got the steak kabobs, which were super yummy. The watermelon sangria was just what I needed on this beautiful summer day. We got the lemon tart for dessert and my daughter ate it before I could get a bite! Coachmen's Lodge has a beautiful atmosphere, but the food, service and prices do not live up to the ambience.

I want to give Coachmen's a perfect 5-star rating because their outdoor grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the ambiance is perfect for couples, families, friends and even the service is pretty good (considering every single restaurant around here is short-staffed). The only reason I'm rating it a 3 is it's way over the top expensive. Totally understand the situation, just basing it on other restaurants. Beautiful place overall! read more

I love this place for a nice romantic dinner by the fireplace, it's also great for a family dinner. The food is very good and the atmosphere is great. I would def recommend this place. I have been many times and will go many more times. Side note, if you go for a holiday meal, ask about seating, last year we went for Mother's day, we were seated in the basement, it was cold and stark, I will make sure we ask for a table in the restaurant part itself next time. read more
