Went for lunch and enjoyed the steak tacos as well as the skinny 214 drink. The beverage was the highlight for me honestly, I enjoyed the tacos but they were not the best--I found the portion sizes of all the items pretty small for the prices of the menu. This is to be expected in Winter Park though, and the presentation was nice. I recommend the trio as an appetizer for variety. The servers were attentive and came by often to refill waters which I like. I think it's best to visit for a happy hour or an event here.

Stopped by Cocina 214 in Winter Park on a Saturday, and honestly... you can't go wrong with margaritas and chips & queso to kick off the weekend. The margaritas were refreshing, the queso hit the spot, and the vibe was perfect for a laid-back Saturday outing. I ordered the three taco plate and it did not disappoint -- super flavorful and very satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Pro tip: go on Sunday! Margarita pitchers are only $25, which is such a great deal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for good food, good drinks, and good energy.

We had a big party and they were very accommodating, great place and the prices were very reasonable for Winter Park.

It had been nearly 2 years since I dined at Cocina 214, so my husband and I decided to go back together. We made reservations well in advance for 6pm on a Friday night. Before entering, an older gentleman warned us that it was very loud inside. We didn't think much of it, but boy was he right. It was a mess inside. Parties of young children ages elementary to high school all over the place. We got stuck next to the table of middle school boys who were squealing and chanting. This was after waiting about 10 minutes for someone to seat us. Once at our table, 15 minutes passed by and nobody had even been by to take our drink order. My husband found someone to help us because it was getting ridiculous. A man took our order and helped us for the evening even though he wasn't serving in that area. The chip and dip trio was good. The guacamole very tasty. I ordered the 007 without beans and had a very small portion. The rice amount probably to half a cup or less. It was also supposed to be vegetable rice but you can see in the photos only about 3 pieces the size of my fingernail were present. I was disappointed. My husband enjoyed his chicken burrito though. We were never checked on while eating. After eating, we waited 15-20 minutes for our check and had to end up finding someone to give it to us. While it was crazy inside, the restaurant still had many tables open. It appeared they were short staffed because even with the large parties, there was no excuse for us to be forgotten. It was sad.

To know me is to know Mexican and I love trying New Mexican cuisine. I decided to do takeout for lunch here. I love that it's located in the heart of winter park, so I can grab a bite and then enjoy Park Ave. Inside was spacious and calm. The order was easy to place and it didn't take long to receive my food. I could tell they had hardworking servers and the staff was kind. Sadly I was a bit underwhelmed with the dish. I tried the veggie burrito and I would not recommend. Lacked flavor and veggies to make this dish filling.

The restaurant decor was nice enough. Nothing to get excited about. Our server was barely cordial. At one point I asked for a Diet Coke and asked him if it was actual Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi (I like Diet Coke with lime but I do not like lime in my Diet Pepsi) and he just barked out "it's Diet!" He brought us our food but there was nothing friendly or courteous about it. The food was absolutely bland and had no flavor. Everyone of our party of 8 was seasoning with salt and pepper. Something I rarely do at a restaurant. I will definitely not be coming back here unless I hear they have a new chef and staff.

My friends and I came here for Cinco de Mayo since they were having drink specials. It's a really cute looking restaurant (especially the outside seating area). We started off with the Queso Fundido with chorizo and nachos. The Queso Fundido was probably the best thing we had during our whole experience. Nachos were average. Our dinner came out and I could tell we were all visibly disappointed (I didn't snap pics of our dinner). One of our group ordered some veggie tacos. They were extremely soggy. I ordered some Mexican flag brisket enchiladas. They were COVERED in way too much lettuce for being $18. I think I would've paid $12 but $18 was def too much money for what I got. Another friend in the group ordered the carne asada, and he was disappointed with it (wasn't seared properly for being $30+). We waited longer for our server to pick up our check and payment so we could leave than we did for our food to get to our table after we ordered. Overall, it was a very mid experience. I probably won't come back here realistically speaking as I know better Mexican restaurants in the area. But glad I was able to take advantage of their Cinco de Mayo drink deals.

We went for "Happy Hour," and snacks! The chips and salsa were good, and the fried Avocado slices were amazing. Our bartender "wore many hats," that day, & did them all well! From greeting us at the door, seating us, and then making suggestions at the bar. We enjoyed their premixed lemon drink and margarita, both tasted pretty good! The ambiance is relaxing and pretty.

Located in the heart of winter park is this gem of a restaurant. I've been many times and haven't had a bad meal or service. The restaurant has plenty of seats both inside and on the patio. The service is always top notch as is the food. If there was a complaint it would be paying for chips and salsa. So I usually skip getting it at this restaurant.

It was okay, the queso fundino was the best part it was a meal in its self. I could've been great with just this and the cocktail. The spicy margarita was okay. So was the main entree. The service was great. The restaurant was beautiful inside and it wasn't too busy went around 4pm on a Sunday. My total meal was around 60/70 dollars.

Be tempted to walk off the main park ave for this restaurant! Super fresh and flavorful Mexican cuisine awaits. There is outdoor seating, indoor, and a separate bar area for those that just want to dive into the list of tequila. The house made salsas were great as was the guac.

First and probably last visit. Food was good, but service was awful. I ordered a chicken burrito. It was great, I'd definitely have it again. The problem was service. Food took way too long, even though the place was at half capacity. Our waitress was extremely unattentive of us. She took our order when we sat down, but disappeared until our food arrived. We were never offered drinks or appetizers. When our entrees arrived, she disappeared again for 10+ minutes. They got my wife's order wrong, so because our waitress would just vanish, we didn't know who to tell. They also have the gall to charge $4 for chips and salsa. We've been to much higher end mexican places and in the vast majority of cases they have complimentary chips and salsa. However, if you're gonna charge for them, they better be out of this world. Unfortunately, they were extremely underwhelming, so I would not pay for them again. For the price, there are much better options in the area if you want mexican fare.

I had a great first Chuy's experience with my girlfriend Holly in Pembroke Pines. On a recent trip to visit my daughter in Winter Park we passed Chuy's in Lakeside Crossing and remembering how much I liked it, I suggested we dine here for dinner. In addition to the multiple dining rooms, they also have outside patio seating. We were seated in my favorite room, the dog one. If you bring in a picture of your pup you can get a free appetizer so the walls are covered with pictures of people's dogs. This room also worked out best for us because it had two TV's and we could watch the Super Bowl. We started off with their complimentary chips that come with a spicy salsa fresca and a Chuy's signature item, creamy jalapeño dressing. It started out as a dressing and it is now a dip with a following. You can even purchase it to take home with you. Two dips can never be enough so we also ordered the queso that is a beloved menu item for good reason. The menu has a number of Tex-Mex favorites like burritos, tacos, and fajitas. Chuy's is especially known for their large portions. They also make all of their own tortillas and sauces. You can customize how spicy you want your food by pepper choice and sauce. I ordered my favorite steak burrito with double rice, no beans. I replaced the spicy hatch chili sauce with the creamy deluxe tomatillo recommended by our server. It was chef's kiss. My daughter and her boyfriend said they really liked their food too and with the large portion size, ended up having leftovers to take home with them. I love the quirky decor, value, and tasty food. We were in the mood for filling meal with a casual vibe and Chuy's hit the spot.

I added cheese and ordered them in soft corn tortillas (they come in lettuce). It was so bland and had an unpleasant texture. But it also had this fake smell to it. I added salsa, thinking it would help. It did not. The pinto beans that came with it were also pretty bland. I barely ate one of the tacos. It's been a long time since I couldn't eat the food I ordered. They should stick to beans and rice. I also got a cheese enchilada from the à la carte menu. That was good!
