Don't be fooled by the photos on here. If you order take out you are not going to get what you see in the pictures. They skimp on the meat, the rice and the beans. My wife and son had burritos, my daughter had chicken soft tacos and I tried the Machaca plate. My daughter never got her tacos on the delivery (thanks!). My wife and son said the burrito was average. My meal was a sad excuse for Machaca. Take a look at the picture. They basically made it with 2 ingredients, a ton of eggs and a tiny bit of meat. It had no flavor because it basically was scrambled eggs with a bit of meat. I had as much beans as what the red sauce comes in. The rice was pretty good, but again not much of it. This spot is consistently yummy! I appreciate that very much. It's our go-to Mexican spot here in Fullerton. I'm originally from Santa Ana and was spoiled with prime Mexican grub spots, so finding this dime piece in my new neighborhood is a blessing They have the BEST wet burrito (my BF gets the Verdes one with asada or carnitas) and their Machaca plate is super delicious, as well! They also make hand made corn tortillas that really hit the spot and compliment the meals well To top it off, the customer service is supreme. Every time I visit, everyone is super nice and attentive. You can tell they just want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your experience. Hospitality goes a long way for me. read more

Good food BUT tell me why there's $1 charge for asada on top of their $9.29 burrito?!?! Nowhere on the menu does it say it's an extra charge. So $9.29 for rice, beans, and pico ?!?! = ROBBERY Additionally, I asked for no beans or rice, so if I didn't as for asada my $9.29 burrito would have been pico and a tortilla. Have been wanting to try Aztec grill for a while now. I ordered the flauta combo which comes with rice and beans. You have your choice of potatoes, chicken or beef. Ordered the potatoes flautas. The food was really good. The rice was flavorful, beans creamy, and potatoes flautas were crispy. My only complaint is that the serving size was tiny. For $14 I expected more. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try for lunch because we were craving some Mexican food. The guy working that day recommended the enchiladas and the steak picado plate and we were very pleased with our meals! The steak picado plate comes with handmade corn tortillas that are hot to the touch and soft, almost bread-like, which I liked. Cocina Azteca, I can't say enough about this place. We planned a graduation lunch for my son, and at the last minute our local caterer back out. Out of time I called Cocina Azteca and they were able to accommodate our lunch the next day. The hooked us up with a nice combinations of meats and sides. Knowing what I know now, I would have gone straight to Cocina Aztec for our graduation lunch instead of dealing with the first BS caterer. Beside the great service the food is also bomb. Visiting Valencia high school for a dance competition and happen to come across this restaurant. First time here and I am pleasantly surprised, we did not expect too much. Very friendly, feels like they are welcoming you to their home. And love their homemade tortilla!! We will definitely be back when we have another competition here. read more

This was a phone order. Customer service was great from the get go. When I picked up, I was immediately fretting at the door. He was friendly and asked for my name and order. My order was already ready, promptly as they said. I also ordered the nachos and a shrimp burrito. Before taking off, I quickly checked my order and was all correct. I live 15 minutes away and once I got home my food was still nice and warm. The nachos were my favorite and tamal with my coffee. Food was great and good service. Pleased with the service and food. This is one of the best hole in the wall Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. I am a big fan of Mole and they made me a chicken burrito with Mole sauce. Amazing. The place might be "hole in the wall" but the food is as good as any restaurant out there. The burrito was huge but more importantly the ingredients where very fresh. The number one give away for freshness to me is the onion. The fresh onion was still crisp.. I love onions. This is a must try place, you won't leave hungry. I can't wait to go back. Was extra hungry and came here for the lunch buffet. I think it was around $15 and there were a lot of choices. I was the only one in there at the time so there was no wait to try anything. There are chips and several salsas, two kinds of soups, several stewed type dishes (the cauliflower one surprised me) and then rice, beans, fruits, and sweets. Nothing is super fancy but it all tasted good to me. Some of the meats tasted a bit dry or overcooked but the sauces generally compensated for that. Finally got in here to try. I admit a recent post on Facebook inspired me! So far so good! I tried the asada tacos, with their fresh "homemade" tortillas, beans and rice. Usually they say if the rice is good everything else is! And it is!!! Also family owned, which I love. Salsas are all homemade, made in house. They have a great buffet for $13.99 that is Monday thru Sunday 11-2 pm and again from 5pm to 8pm. The Chile Verde looks on point! A must try if you haven't. The last 2 experiences I've had here were not to my expectations. The most recent time I've had a hair in my to-go food. Soo disappointed! The previous time I went I ordered some tacos, I sent them back because there was a hair. When I got them back, my cilantro was wilted as if it was just sitting there. Hands down one of the best places to get authentic food. Got a chicken torta with fresh strawberry water. My order was taken by Nancy and she was able to accommodate my order as I had asked for it to be specifically made. I got the chicken torta with salsa on top ( torta hogada) basically like a wet burrito but torta style. She was able to place my order just how I wanted without hesitation and repeated the order correctly the first time. I wish I would have taken a picture but it looked so good I dug in. The flavors of the salsa and overall torta was beyond expectations. The cherry on top was the fresh strawberry water that made it all so perfect.
