Cozy, unassuming little restaurant within walking distance from CHLA/Kaiser Sunset, near the corner of Fountain Ave. We were greeted by the host/server as soon as we walked in and were promptly seated. We started with the peaches, ricotta, and pesto bruschetta, which was an interesting twist but both adults and kiddos (5 & 6 year olds) thought they were tasty. My main was their Famous Kitchen's Fried Chicken which I thought was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and cooked. It was crisp and juicy and the accompanying gravy, mashed potatoes, and succotash were perfect. If you aren't sure what to get I would definitely choose the chicken. The warm walnut bread pudding with ice cream for dessert was also really good as the warm and cold together was nice for a "cool Los Angeles night". Really enjoyed this place and I liked that the menu was simple. Good food with prompt, warm service makes for a satisfied yelper. May need to come and check out the brunch vibes...

Cocina Vino is truly a gem in Silver Lake! The interior is beautiful, and it reminded me a bit of Mexico. This space actually used to be a local favorite called The Kitchen, right next door to Akbar. When that closed, one of their employees reopened this space as Cocina Vino and still has some local favorite dishes from the previous place. I passed by this spot a few times and I'm glad I stopped by with such an awesome story! Plus, the food was also delicious!!! For dinner - the pesto bruschetta with peaches was amazing!! The bread was so soft and it was so flavorful. I also really liked the chimichurri steak! For brunch - The French toast is unbelievable! So soft and delicious. Breakfast burrito is also good. They have good items at a good price too. Definitely recommend!! Oh and they have a parking lot!!

Exceptional Food & Atmosphere Cocina Vino absolutely blew me away. Every bite felt carefully crafted, and the flavors were next-level. The pan-seared Scottish salmon was perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside, with a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. We also started with the pesto bruschetta topped with peaches and ricotta, and it was such a surprising standout--fresh, creamy, and just the right touch of sweetness. The service was warm and attentive, and the space has a great vibe--elegant without being stuffy. This place is a gem. We'll definitely be back.

Cocina Vino is a hidden gem that needs to be on your brunch radar! I came in for brunch and had the huevos rancheros--and let me tell you, they were next-level delicious. Perfectly cooked eggs, a rich, flavorful ranchero sauce, and everything seasoned to perfection. You can taste the love in every bite! But what really sealed the deal? The service. Even though the place was packed (clearly word is getting out!), the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They made me feel like I was part of the Cocina Vino family. If you're looking for a place that delivers amazing food and a feel-good vibe, run--don't walk--to Cocina Vino. This spot is a total winner.

Happy enough this lovely new place was purchased by a staffer at the restaurant it was prior, The Kitchen. I'm so happy to see the new owner was part of the old establishment but is making it his own. Work. I was really hoping this new spot was going to be as good as the last place and it's still amazing with some new amazing dishes on the menu. We came here for brunch and it was delicious. Come on by and support a new small POC owned business. The owner is running around happy to serve and great his customers.

We received a warm & friendly welcome from Rasheeda (bartender). She was darling, as was our server, Mason. They were both fantastic. We settled into the cozy couches tucked in the corner and ordered several dishes to share: Hummus, Prosciutto Panino, Eggplant Panino, Mediterranean Eggs, Green Shakshuka, & Fries. Drinks consisted of: Nitro Cold Brew, Bloody Mary, Age of Aquarius, & a Lavender Gimlet. The fries were tossed with rosemary salt and came with garlic aioli & ketchup. They were addicting & delicious. My Lavender Gimlet did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their selections, and we had a great time together. This was the perfect meet up spot. Outdoor seating is available in the front and back patio and indoor seating is at the bar or dining room. We liked feel of the back patio but it seemed to be a designated smoking area so we chose the dining room instead. The atmosphere was warm and felt like being in a living room. We started with cocktails - a Mezcal Provencale, Hibiscus Margarita and a Toasted Coconut Daiquiri. They were well prepared and solid. I enjoyed the daiquiri. It was refreshing and not overly sweet and had a slight foam on top. Foodwise we had fish and chips, the house salad, chicken buns and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Birthday boy enjoyed his salad and fish and chips. I tried his salad and enjoyed the little gem lettuce dressed with green goddess. The chicken buns had the right ratio of chicken, toppings and bread and though an appetizer, was enough for a meal. The grilled cheese and tomato soup combo was the classic pairing. The grilled cheese with the blend of cheeses, crispy Parmesan crust and added bacon was delicious. I savored it with a knife and fork. The tomato soup was also good. At that point, I noticed a White patron that came in after me received a Guinness. My Black friend went and asked the server (who was a White woman) if she forgot mine. 10 minutes later, the server set down a beer that was 70% foam without a look or a word. Meanwhile, I watched this server seemingly ignore Black patrons while approaching other patrons and asking if they needed anything, including my Cuban friend. My Cuban friend got so irritated, she went and told the woman that it seemed like people of a certain skin complexion were getting better service. The server denied it. The server still did not care. She then took 10 minutes to bring my Black friend water and never made eye contact nor spoke to my Black friend or me. Later, another patron approached me to comment on my funny shirt. I asked her how her experience with the customer service was, and she said the waitress acted strangely towards her (Black) friend until she said something to her about it. As a queer woman, I would love to support a queer-woman-owned sports bar, but apparently I'm not too welcome there. Nachos were good.
