That raises serious ethical questions. Animal shelters exist to place pets into safe, permanent homes--not to supply inventory for resale. If money is being exchanged beyond standard adoption fees, the public deserves clarity on where funds are going and whether shelters are aware. Donations should support care, vetting, and rescue efforts--not personal profit. If this is a legitimate rescue operation, transparency, nonprofit status, and itemized use of funds should be clearly provided. Otherwise, this feels misleading to donors and unfair to families who adopt in good faith. I would say that, like the vast majority of vets, they are allopathic doctors, and don't promote holistic means as much as I think is warranted. E.g., a few years back Jasper was lame and they gave us our options for surgery. I must say they were very even handed, noting the pros and cons. Instead I gave Jasper the Chondroitin Sulfate I was taking and in 3 months he was back to his normal self, running around. :-) So always do your own research for holistic alternatives to surgery, or drugs. Overall a great place to take your fur-baby.

I would have given her a 5 star review anyway - but way to go on customer service Christine! Christine does Sports, Working Dog, Therapeutic and Puppy Massage as well as Equine and small animal Acupressure. She is also a certified dog trainer which surely helps her understand underlying issues causing muscle problems. At the Spring Fling she did an awesome job of turning Boogs and Scrubbie into marshmallows (see pic) my Mia on the other hand was a challenge. Mia has horrible separation anxiety when left with a stranger (not when left alone at home that is a different type of anxiety) and having a stranger massage on her was not relaxing or pleasant at all for her - Christine explained that that was why she was shedding and putting out so much dander while being massaged. I am very interested in working with Christine to help my Mia feel more comfortable when left with strangers and am also excited that she loves working with rescue organizations! I am sure all my Rescue Foster Pups that usually come to me with their own issues could benefit from her massage and behavior understanding!

Kitty has been seen by Drs. Little and Tomlin and did great with both providers, and Dr. Heppner helped coordinate an alternative flea med and an anti-anxiety med when Kitty had an overreaction to his usual flea med between visits. Prices are in line with market forces (not cheap), luckily Kitty is healthy and only needs an annual visit from here on out!
