Great food- we were tired of the overpriced Kaanapali and Kapalua restaurants and came to Coco Deck and so glad we did. Tonight was our 2nd visit during our 9-day stay and it once again did not disappoint! We were blessed to have Fernanda as our waitress both nights and she was incredible! She takes the time to know her customers and her smile is infectious! She remembered our likes and dislikes from one visit to the next. Our food was delicious both nights: unique flavors and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at the same table both times (although people need to practice a little aloha while driving-we watched a lot of near misses as the nearby intersection!). Was recommended by a friend, and we expected slightly more because of the recommendation and who it came from. However, the food was just so so and each dish seem to be lacking a little bit of something we had the burger the Smashburger the meat patties weren't seasoned well and they will cook through. They didn't ask us although Smashburger is always cooked through. We asked to happen without the sauce and it came with the sauce. We had to send it back. The fries were cold, the first time around and remain cold the second time The donut with the pokey was decent. That was probably the best part. It was an appetizer the fish and chips were just mediocre and then we had the shrimp dish which was underwhelming so it wasn't a bad meal, but we expected more based on the recommendation so for us it was a mess not a hit and the drink seemed kind of water down it was a version of an espresso martini, but we understand the owner did some great things during the challenges of the fires and we commend him for that and hopefully the food will improve, but the service was terrific read more

Let me start with the only bad thing, because you're probably not even reading reviews just looking at the Star level. They charge 4% for kitchen service charge. How are they going to be a restaurant without a kitchen. It would be like a grocery store charging you for the cashier to ring you out. Love this new restaurant! Great views, awesome service, and delicious food and drinks. The poke donut was amazing. Tostada bowl thing was really good and fresh. Big deck bowl was full of flavor. Both the cocktails and mocktails are on point. Happy hour specials are fun and you gotta try the coco foam!!! Also- bring the family! If I could give this more than five stars, I would! The food, service, ambience, and the prices were amazing! We happened upon it during happy hour- and enjoyed almost an entire meal for three with drinks for $30! Five dollar margaritas are not to be missed. The $10 nachos are crazy delicious and unbelievably the five dollar fish tacos were some of the best. It's rare to have excellent service, food, price. Our food arrived very quickly as well. WHAT A GEM!!!! This restaurant is cute, creative and AFFORDABLE. I highly recommend getting the Poke Donut - my husband and I agree that it's one of the best things we have ever eaten - and the Ceviche. The drinks there are also on point. I've had the Holy Mole (10/10) and a Spicy Margarita with a Li Hung Mui rim (10/10). The servers, bartenders and staff are very friendly and make you feel right at home.
