Not only do they sell sweets, they also have entrees. I'll have to try that next time. I ordered the mochi waffles and the coco pandan. They make it hot and fresh, so it takes a few minutes. I didn't know and I thought they forgot about me. Loved the mochi waffles and didn't need the condense milk drizzle. I liked the coco pandan, but I had more of the peanut coconut flavor than the pandan. Interior was nice and spacious, quite comfortable seating arrangements. I have been craving authentic Lao food here in Reno and most Thai places offer "Lao" food but it's not the same so we were on a trip to the Roseville area and chose Cocomilk cafe as the place we will go for lunch. Well....boy are we glad we came here because the food was so so delicious and authentic! It is such a cute and clean shop. The menu is so vibrant, clear and easy to read and see what you want with lots of options for food, desserts and drinks. We ordered papaya salad, Lao sausages, pork belly, stir fry basil, khaopoon, and more. All were incredibly fresh and delicious. Our absolute favorite is the Lao sausage. We were able to buy frozen packs of sausages to go as well. They packaged it up nicely for us too so they didn't melt. So juicy and yummy. My mouth is watering as I type. Desserts are to die for. I got the coco gems, purple rice custard and more. Drinks were amazing as well. Now to the staff, such friendly and kind people. From the girl on the register, to the waiters, to the owner, every single person was so sweet. The owner Keo is awesome. We literally became friends with him. So incredibly nice and really appreciates all of his customers. You don't find restaurants owners like him anymore. I had Cocomilk Cafe bookmarked for a while now and finally got a chance to try it out. My bf and I came in around the evening time, interior and lightning was very subtle. There were tables to dine in, a big menu on the right, and Asian decors. We did not stay for service so we ordered online for take out. Papaya Salad medium spice (bf needed to calm down on his spice): I would give it 6/10. It tasted like it was missing the tamarind paste...or there wasn't enough of it. Also, possibly more crab paste? Crispy Pork Belly: It was dry D: although we had the dipping sauce, which sort of tastes like the sauce you dip Bánh Lọc in, it was still dry...it had a nice crunch and taste but overall, so dry....6/10. Pork Sausages: This was 10/10!! Not dry at all! Definitely recommend getting this. Kaopoon (ahh forgot photo): 6.7/10. We weren't impress but didn't dislike it either. Again, it was missing something. I didn't taste enough coconut milk. The lime leave flavor was missing... Taro Cream Tea: Oh boy, the bobas were hard in the middle...and the taste of the Taro was very powdered flavored...I get it, it's made from Taro powder but the taste was so prominent. 5/10...I would not get this again. Customer service: 10/10! The man that assisted me was super kind and friendly! Overall, I wasn't too impressed by some of the orders so it's more of a 3.7 out of 5...but 4 stars just because of the pork sausages and friendly customer services. Cocomilk Cafe has been on my must try list for awhile due to their stunning presentation alone, so the fact that everything tasted better than it looked speaks volumes. The handmade boba was so soft and velvety, and was the perfect addition to the warmed coco milk that was the right level of sweetness. The purple rice custard was wildly flavorful, the rice was warm while the custard was cool and left you with a lovely, contrasting mouth feel. The custard was so floral, perhaps jasmine? The pandan balls also came warmed and fresh, soft and chewy and filled with toasted coconut. They were sold out of their taro desserts so I will definitely be back to sample those. Date of Visit: 6/21/2026 I came to COCOMILK Cafe with high expectations based on the positive Yelp reviews I had read. Unfortunately, my first experience was disappointing. At approximately 12:38 PM, I ordered the Beef Laab with a side of sticky rice, Pad Thai, and a cup of water. Since there wasn't a self-service water station, I assumed water would be brought to my table after I sat down. Unfortunately, I never received it. As time passed, several customers who ordered after me received their food before I did. After waiting around 30-35 minutes, I approached a younger staff member to ask about my order. She wasn't able to provide an estimated wait time, but the owner assured me that my food would be ready soon. At that point, I was close to requesting a refund and leaving. However, because I genuinely want to support local businesses in our community, I decided to be patient and wait a little longer. I finally received my food around 1:30 PM--nearly an hour after ordering. The owner apologized for the delay and offered a discount on an entrée during a future visit, which I appreciated, but unfortunately I don't see myself returning. Food Review I ordered the Beef Laab with sticky rice and Pad Thai. First, I never received the sticky rice that I paid for, which was frustrating since it was supposed to accompany the Laab. The Beef Laab itself was barely cooked. Personally, I don't mind beef prepared on the rarer side, but this was beyond medium-rare and appeared raw. If I had been sharing the dish with someone who expected fully cooked beef, they likely would not have eaten it. The flavor was also underwhelming, with most of the taste coming from the toasted rice powder rather than balanced seasoning. Beef Laab: 5/10 The Pad Thai was overly sweet. When I first opened the container, I honestly thought I had been given Pad See Ew because of its appearance. While it was more enjoyable than the Laab, the sweetness overwhelmed the dish and made it difficult to appreciate the other flavors. Pad Thai: 6/10 Overall Experience I love supporting businesses within our community, which is why I gave this restaurant every opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, between the long wait, missing item, lack of water service, and disappointing food quality, this visit fell far short of expectations. This cafe is so unassuming from the outside but when you walk in it's filled with so many different treats. They sell figurines, tea, Hawaiian jerky, shirts, and jars of sauce among the cafe's menu offerings. It's fun to poke around while waiting for your order. My family and I ordered the mochi layers, a peach tea and a viet coffee. The orders took a while but they were decently busy. The mochi layers dessert looked absolutely beautiful. The pandan, ube, and coconut flavors were distinct and balanced. Neither the desserts nor the drinks were too sweet - perfect! I told my husband we should come again for date night. :) read more

Came here for lunch on sunday around 11:30. When we went it was completely empty. Ppl did really welcome us or anything so we jus sat at a table and they have things to scan to see the menu but they also have tvs with their menu and prices. Then we eventually ordered at the counter. We got the khao poon and the lemongrass beef and also coco ube. We went back to our table and they brought us the coco ube and water. After like 15 ish minutes the food came out. The portions were soooo small lol. Especially for the price. The khao poon was 12.50 and the beef was 13.50. Both were honestly good tho. Khao poon is probably more worth it tho, bigger portions and had a good amount of chicken and cabbage and bean sprouts topping, flavor was good too. The lemon grass beef comes with a small container of rice or sticky rice, we got sticky rice. The flavor was good and i like the sauce it comes with however it was REALLLY tough, kinda like the hard beef jerky texture ngl. It was tasty tho but hurt my jaw lol. The coco ube came with 8 small little ones for 7.50. It was pretty good, very coconutty but its basically all coconut and i couldnt taste any ube flavor. Overall place is okay. Seems like a cute little family run business. Flawless victory!!! So far on first visit it's been impeccable food and service. Super clean and very fun environment for entire family. The beef laab was exquisite...a style of its own. The taro waffles reminded me of grandmas old baking from the southeast customs. The pork belly was crisp and well done. I will have to request hotter pepper dip on next visit though. But so far everything I've tried has been on point. Next time I'll take the Tiger mom in to see if she approves or not. Looking forward to trying more items from the menu. read more

That was me until I walked back into Cocomilk Cafe. This place cured me of a subpar Southeast Asian dining experience had elsewhere last night. Over the last few years, I've been in here multiple times but had been remiss to not review this establishment before. It should be stated that their food is superior to other SEA restaurants in the area, including Elk Grove. Their Lao sausage is made in house, slapping all memory of other sausages out your mouth. Marinades so flavorful the aroma puts your olfactory system on notice for the journey your tastebuds are about to take. Do not skip out on the drinks and dessert options: the mochi layers are not only a beauty to behold, they are absolutely delectable. I would come here for the food alone but thankfully the service is patient, friendly and helpful. Bonus points for cleanliness, you can tell they clean the bathroom. I have never had Khao Poon before this, and I thought this soup was amazing. I really loved the taste. I really enjoy coconut based soups, so it wasn't surprising that I enjoyed this menu item. From the meat to the veggies to the broth, each ingredient was delicious! After trying a bite of the Mango Sticky Rice, I went back to the cashier to buy another one for my mom. The person helping me was really nice and offered me a helpful tip: put the rice into the lid, then you can pour the coconut milk over the rice and mango (since the lid then acts as a bowl). The portion to price is on the expensive side and they use paper liners for the mochi layer cakes, which gets stuck on the paper liner. It's annoying to buy mochi layer and it gets stuck in the paper liner considering how small they already are. I love love love their beef laab! It's always made to perfection, and I love how fresh their veggies are! Some places I've been to, their laab is either too raw or missing something, and/or their vegetables are wilted and not fresh, but not here! Everything is PERFECT. It reminds me of these taro deserts from this LA Thai desert place but in waffle form. If you like taro, the waffles are delicious. The tapioca balls were delicious and flavorful. I've had them before and they made them very good here. The grill pork with sticky rice was delicious. The flavor was tasty. I am very particular with my sticky rice. I hate restaurants that just make their sticky rice in a rice cooker. The texture is usually all gooey and not right, but this place actually steams their sticky rice which makes it tasty. It was Cambodian, Thai, Laos New year a dew days ago. I was craving for their desserts which I didn't have for a long time. I had hubs ordered online. He got me Asian BBQ chicken with sticky rice. The portion side is small but the chicken is very tasty. The meat is juicy and it is not dry nor its undercooked. I give it 10/10. Can never go wrong with sticky rice. It compliments the bbq chicken very well. Lastly, the desserts. It didn't taste as fresh when I first had it. The texture wasn't as soft and chewy. Maybe it was a day old or so. Nonetheless it is still good. I'd give it 7/10. Due to a lot of things, food anywhere is now costly, wages went up for staff, supplies, etc. The prices for Coco Milk aren't that bad. This place is AMAZING! As my niece Mia said "I would give them 10 stars if I could." We loved the grilled chicken and grilled pork. Wonderful flavors that we enjoyed with sticky rice. We were also delighted with the beautiful presentation of mango sticky rice and the out-if-this-world crunchy chewy mochi waffles. We loved the sample of passion fruit tea and bought a canister of it along with the fragrant 1001 nights tea. Will DEFINITELY be coming back to try other things on their menu! Ordered kapiak and pork egg rolls to go Kapiak hits the spot so warm and hot fresh lots of meats and chunks of pork blood but I don't eat those so I took it out and set it aside for someone who eats it. We came here on a weekend because I was craving nam khao and saw that this place had it. We ordered nam khao (it's like crispy fried rice), beef laap with sticky rice, iced coffee (might've been the Thai iced coffee) and the coco pandan drink. Nam khao (3/5 stars) just because it was a saltier than what me and my boyfriend are used to, but it was definitely crispy and good. You just have to eat it with other sides. Beef laap (5/5) for us. We have no complaints besides that it was delicious. I like how the dried peppers were actually spicy too. They also give you an option between sticky rice or regular white rice, which was thoughtful. Maybe Thai iced coffee? (3/5) my boyfriend got that drink and it took him awhile to finish it. The taste was strong, not saying it's a good or bad thing haha. I don't remember really enjoying it though. Coco pandan juice (5/5) it was something new to try and it tasted refreshing. I couldn't wait to come try this place again after my uncle bought me their mochi layers and I was obsessed! I'm a big coconut/pandan lover and grew up on these desserts.
