Went to a Friendsgiving where someone brought this pumpkin harvest pie from Coco's. I never liked pumpkin pie in my life, but my friend said everyone in line was raving about it and to give it a try. I became a fan and bought one the next day. I'd describe it as a pumpkin pie with like a pumpkin cold foam/mousse as an entire top layer. One slice was enough, it's almost too sweet to eat a second slice. Definitely get pumpkin harvest if you need a pie for a special event. read more

Over the many years ive lived in Upland CA I have been to.this location many many times ... After not eating here for well over a year my wife and I decided to have lunch here and have a couple of salads. I ordered the Cobb Salad and she had the Asain Chicken Salad. First the Cobb ... Bowl of Romain Lettuce.. OK Topped with small spoonfuls of tomato, grated cheese, bacon bits, chopped hard boiled egg and chicken ... The amounts of these items were very small ... And the bacon, chicken and egg could have been many days old, stored in the "refrigerator" I hope ... But by the taste, may not have been. I've had Cobb salads all over the IE and this was one of the worst I've EVER had ... A complete rip off ... As for my wife's salad ? Same terrible 4-5 day old chicken ... We also ordered a cup of broccoli cheese soup .. It was oddly jellotnous and not hot .... Warm .. Almost room temperature .. The one bright part of our visit to the Upland COCOS was the Crispy Cauliflower Bites ... They seemed to be the only item their cooking staff put any effort into. Lesson learned ... Avoid their Salads w horrible chicken Avoid their cold soup Order the Cauliflower Crispy Bites Better yet .... Don't go here at all.. Took my son here prior to school starting for brunch. Their breakfasts are sooooo good and their coffee is always fresh. Although my dietary restrictions have changed over the years, it's always nice to go to an establishment that has vegan options. I usually order the hash browns/potato's with sourdough and coffee but my son is a fan of their cheeseburgers and fries! I had a horrible experience here this weekend. I didn't say anything at the time and would have sent the food back if I hadn't been with my grandmother and she am was treating us. I have only sent food back twice in my life. First off, a small child was jumping up and down on the booth behind me, occasionally looking at up over the top of the partition. The mother did nothing. The staff did nothing. Then, despite an upbeat attitude, we finally had to gran a passing waitress for a coffee refill. The waitress apologized and asked us who our server was. We asked for a soda refill and the server forgot and only came back after we finished our meal. Now the food. The chicken fried steak was a preformed frozen thing. It was pretty nasty, but that is what they use. I wouldn't send it back for what is normal for them. It was the gravy!! It tasted ands smelled like the either made it with spoiled milk OR, if this is premade as well, it had gone off. WAY off. I scraped it from my food and ate as much as I could and asked for a box. When I got home, I didn't even want to feed it to the chickens. I don't give them spoiled food. read more

Ordered the thanksgiving family meal... it is advertised to be a turkey slow roasted for six hours and hand carved. Looks more like a turkey roll sliced up! All portions are so small there is NO WAY that it would of fed 4-6 people. Taste was horrible. Only thing worth our while was the pies. Thought ordering our meal would save me time, but I ended up having to cook after all and we threw away the entire meal! Edit: the response says 32 oz of each?! The bowls had about two spoons worth in them. Didn't fill the small bowls half way! And I'm telling you that turkey isn't slow roasted! It has to be a turkey roll for sure! And I did call the store the same day and spoke to a manager and she said she would have her manager call me and I was blown off! I have also sent a message on the website. Still waiting! read more

Cocos canceled a Thanksgiving order for Public Safety first responders this evening, less than 30 minutes before it was scheduled to arrive; an order that was placed almost a week ago. Minutes before I received a cancelation from Doordash, per DoorDash, they were preparing my order. Interestingly enough, would learn that Cocos posted a letter on their door many hrs earlier of this. Not understanding the customer service piece or lack thereof. Understand things are challenging around folks wanting to work; must be nice to not worry about the impact on customers/families and/or any responsibility to notify, apologize, make it right. This place sucks, had two wait 20 minutes for a table even though there were about 10+ available. I do not think the hostess knew her job. Then they went to seat a party of 2 that just walk in before seating us. Service was SUPER SLOW. They had more than adequate staffing, don't know what the problem was. Went to pick up an order and when I arrived they gave me a 25 minute wait because the pie I ordered wasn't even made. Waste of time here.

I came here this evening with my family for a little get together and was highly disappointed with my service. I only had a party of 5, and my waitress, Maritza, disappeared for a majority of my meal. She was only present after I had to seek her out. After I asked about my water refill I was informed that my server was busy, in a restaurant with only 8 tables and 3 servers. Now I'm acutely aware of the restaurant business, being a server for 4 years, I know what goes into working in the business and when a customer complains you try to make the experience better, you don't run away and make yourself more scarce. And you DEFINITELY DONT RESPOND WITH AN ATTITUDE ABOUT HOW MUCH WORK YOU HAVE TO DO. Where's your customer service ? The manager brought out our food, presumably to try to satisfy us, but he didn't inquire about our service, or our meal. He only showed his face briefly. Upon finishing my meal I moved my condiments caddy and found a dead bug, which leads me to question whether my table was even cleaned before I was sat down. All in all... I'm not surprised about all the other locations closing if this is standard service. After going to urgent care, I contacted the San Bernardino County Heath Department and the restaurant. The manager on duty seemed stunned and didn't didn't know what to do. Don't they cover that in food handler's certification? Even though I gave the manager my contact information, which the health inspector did as well, no word from them and it's been a week. We went for breakfast on Father's Day. I've had better experiences. Our waitress, Julie, was grumpy and her service very slow. I got a fresh strawberry breakfast. However, the strawberries were not fresh. Came here for lunch because wife had a gift card. One waitress was serving the entire restaurant so naturally service was extra slow. There were two hostesses/managers who's sole function seemed to be to walk around and greet the customers then disappear. There was also a host who sat customers, took the beverage order, and brought the first round of beverages. After this, the poor waitress was on her own. She was serving at least ten tables scattered around the restaurant and as you might imagine we saw little of her. Now the food. Flavorless. I had what was alleged to be cod. It was accompanied by unseasoned rice pilaf and vegetables that were so over cooked as to fall apart under their own weight. The cod (if that's what it was) was advertised as grilled but it's appearance was more akin to having been steamed. The high point of the meal was the clam chowder. Nothing special and I suspect it had its origin in one of those frozen bags that Campbell's sells to lower class restaurants, but at least there had a passable flavor to it. I want to emphasize that the waitress was doing an incredible job considering the circumstances that she was working under. read more

So sad! Since Coco's changed ownership, it has continually gone downhill. I thought maybe it was a fluke when I ate there a few months back and I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad, and the chicken was dried out, the dressing was separated and warm, and my fries were raw. So, now with the pandemic I decided to order the salad again. The chicken had a bizarre taste, the dressing was sour and completely watered down, and the won tons on top were mushy. I also ordered a buttermilk biscuit and got 2 biscuits covered in gravy, which I tossed. Also got a piece of peach pie and the crust tasted like frozen crust. I will never eat at a Coco's again!
